If you want to do anything worthwhile in life, you’ve got to be hungry. It’s better to be prepared for an opportunity and not have one than to have an opportunity and not be prepared. So every day I was working to develop myself. And that’s what you must do. I promise you one thing. You have never seen any player in the entire country play as hard as I will play the rest of the season. Get in here! Hey! We got 30 minutes for the rest of our lives! 30 minutes! 30 minutes! 30 minutes for the rest of our lives! There were none before me and there will be none after me. Therefore, that makes me the one and only. Young and single, loved and mingled, certified, bonafide, and dutifully qualified to bring you satisfaction and a whole lot of action. Look at me, ma’am, your loved man. I was hungry! I was hungry! I was hungry! You gotta be hungry! Some shows don’t need a celebrity narrator to introduce the show. But this show does. In a world filled with endless opportunities, why would two men who have built 13 multi-million dollar businesses altruistically invest five hours per day to teach you the best practice business systems and moves that you can use? Because they believe in you, and they have a lot of time on their hands. They started from the bottom, now they’re here. It’s the Thrive Time Show starring the former U.S. Small Business Administration’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Clay Clark, and the entrepreneur trapped inside an optometrist’s body, Dr. Robert Zilner. Two men, eight kids, co-created by two different women, 13 multi-million dollar businesses. We started from the bottom, now we here We started from the bottom and we’ll show you how to get here Started from the bottom, now we here We started from the bottom, now we here We should try, started from the bottom And now we’re at the top, teaching you the systems Took care of what we got, Colton Dixon’s on the hoops I break down the books See it’s bringing some wisdom and the good looks As a father of five, that’s why I’m alive So if you see my wife and kids, please tell them hi. It’s the C and Z up on your radio. And now, 3, 2, 1, here we go! We started from the bottom, now we’re here. We started from the bottom, and we’ll show you how to get here. We started from the bottom, now we’re here. We started from the bottom, now we’re here. We started from the bottom, now we’re here. We started from the bottom, and we’ll show you how to get here. This just in, folks. You cannot steer a parked bus. What? Yes, you cannot steer a parked bus. Eventually you have to get started. If you watch the documentary about Mount Rushmore, and on part two of today’s show, we’re going to do what? We’re going to watch a documentary about Mount Rushmore. The guy who was the original architect, designer, sculptor, entrepreneur behind sculpting and creating Mount Rushmore, it turns out the final Mount Rushmore that you see today isn’t exactly what he had in his mind. Why? Well, it’s because he was looking for the perfect place to carve Mount Rushmore, the perfect mountain, the perfect location, but there is no such thing as perfect unless you’re in heaven. So eventually he had to get started. And once he got started, he found that the rock wasn’t just quite right to do this and wasn’t quite right to do that, but he kept moving and kept adjusting. And eventually he created the Mount Rushmore that you and I see today. And I believe that there’s a lot of people out there, a lot of you watching today, who you want to take action, but in your mind, you can’t take action until everything is perfect. And if Napoleon Hill were here with us today, and he’s not because he’s dead, he once said that the time will never be just right, you must act now. So here to talk about this idea that you can’t steer a parked bus is Peter Taunton, the legendary entrepreneur behind Snap Fitness, behind Nautical Bowls, behind Nine Ground Boxing. And I believe he’s joining us from Minnetonka, from Lake Minnetonka in beautiful Minneapolis, Minnesota. Peter Taunton, welcome. How are you, sir? Hey, Clay, I’m good. How are you? Good to see you. Brother, I’m fired up to talk about this subject because we just had a great conference this past weekend. We had over 2.2 million people that streamed this wonderful conference. Fun deal. Biggest streaming audience we’ve ever had. We had 3,000 people in attendance, which is about an average attendance for us. We had 2.2 million people that streamed this event. And when I got to the event, we said the doors would open at 6. People could start grabbing a seat at 6 a.m. We would start off at 8. But throughout the day, certain speakers had their flights delayed or certain variables that we couldn’t control happened. And so I just go with it and I just adapt and I move. And at the end of the day, when you look at your run sheet and you look at your schedule, all the speakers got their time, everybody had a good time. But Peter, if I had waited until all 74 speakers had confirmed the perfect flight, and before I knew, and I really knew that every speaker would be there exactly on time and that there would be no flight delays and that there would be no challenges. We would have never started the event. I think a lot of entrepreneurs don’t get started because they wait for everything to be perfect. Can you talk about this because it’s a weird idea because as a franchise owner you are obsessed with perfection, but yet you also have to get started. I’d love to just get your mindset of how you approach getting started on something big. You know what, in my book, Impossible Hill, I talk about that and I talk about the, for people that first things first, you gotta make the decision, I wanna be an entrepreneur, okay? I mean, that’s step one, you gotta embrace it in your head. But then once you get to that point, you need to think about what is it, where do my interests lie, create your business plan, create a chart of a roadmap of your success. And I always tell people, put your end goal out there, that’s your North Star, but then set little milestones along the way because the journey can be long. And there’s a lot of times that people, they lose sight, they think they’re stuck. But if you put little milestones along the way, a little bread comes, if you will, then as you track that along the way, you start to realize that, man, I am making a move. I am moving the ball down the field. For some people, the hardest thing to do is just make the jump. They look at everything, they overanalyze anything, and sometimes you just got to make the jump, kind of on your point on your last event. If you’re going to wait for everything to be perfect, you never would have had your event. That’s the difference between leaders and leaders and followers. Leaders know that at some point in time you got to cut the cord, you got to go live, you got to make your move, and you got to wing it, you got to ad lib. And that’s exactly what you did and you did it well. And that’s part of running companies, that’s part of leading people. You never let people see you sweat and keep driving forward. Now I won’t mention the name of the people I’m talking about on today’s show, but I want to give people some examples, really concrete examples. We have one speaker that speaks at some of my events who is an incredibly talented person. I won’t mention their gender or what they do, but they are super incredible. However, they never quite know what day it is. So you’ll call them and say, hey, just to confirm, you’re speaking in five hours, are you good to go? And they usually go, what day is it? And you’ll say, today is Friday. And they go, oh, man. And they’ll usually be in the wrong state at the wrong time. They go, OK, can I speak tomorrow? And at my two-day conferences, I can usually pull it off. But so many people tell me, I can’t believe you booked that guy. And I go, well, maybe 2 3rds of the people show up to watch this person perform. And so I put up with a little jackassery. Sometimes you have to accept some of those variables. I want to get really specific with Snap Fitness. You know that when you sell a membership to somebody, they get access to work out at the beautiful Snap Fitness locations whenever they want. And some people never use their membership at all. They buy the membership and they never work out. Other people work out every single day. And so you’ve designed an incredible experience at Snap Fitness. You want people to work out. You’re focused on fitness. Some people work out. Some people don’t. How did you kind of deal with that in your mind as you were building Snap Fitness, the idea that some people would use your facility all the time and some people would never use their membership they paid for? Well, you know what, Clay? If you could answer the question on how do you get people who are complacent, in other words, the people without membership, because I’ll be honest with you, I’d love for everyone to come and use the gym and use it regularly. And if that were the case, the gyms would have to be much larger than they are. But when people are working out and they’re in their exercise and they’re feeling good about themselves and leading that healthy lifestyle, they like to talk about it. So that actually breeds people, members into our facility. So we like it when that happens, but I tell you what, you know, as a business, from a business perspective, you can never build a store for Monday at five o’clock. You can never build a club for Monday at five. Typically Monday is the busiest day of the week, bar none, because everyone’s coming off of a weekend. And then as you start moving down the week, the attrition kind of falls off a little bit in terms of people’s usage. And then obviously, depending on the seasonal time of the year, January being the peak, and you know what, probably July being the lower part. So again, you plan for certain variables, but at the end of the day, you’ve got to look at percentages. When you go from gym to gym all across the country, how many locations of Snap Fitness now exist? We have about 1,200. We have 1,200 of that brand. So of all of my brands, I have a little over 4,000, but of that particular brand, we have about 1,200 locations. Okay, so a couple hundred. About 700, yeah, 750, 800 in the United States. So can you see patterns across the brand about when most people work out in terms of the times of the day or the times of the year? Oh yeah, and you know what, Clay, it’s fairly predictable. I mean, if you think about it, a lot of people wanna get in and they, people generally, when they’re working out they’re either the morning person or they’re the evening person okay they come after work or they go before work the people that are going everywhere in between obviously lunch hour yeah that can be busy but it’s not as busy you can manage that and then you know the slow times are obviously 10 in the morning 2 in the afternoon so you build your gym accordingly and you run your programs around those times when you think people are most are going to be in the facility. Because obviously if you’re running programs, programs don’t run themselves. You got to have people in them. So you want to make them convenient for them. So pro tip for all your wonderful clients out there, if they’re looking to get in and really work out and have nobody on that equipment, what’s the best time to go? Probably 2 p.m.? Yeah, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Perfect. Yeah, you’ll own it. Now, I’ll say this, too, with the Reawaken America tour events I do or these conferences I do, it’s two different groups. The business conference that we’re going to have coming up here in late June, the one that you’ll be presenting at and Tim Tebow, most of those entrepreneurs have no problem with the idea of a conference starting at 7 a.m. And they’re usually all in their seats. They’ve got their coffee, their notepads. I mean, these are entrepreneurs, they’re ready to go. And they’re going to be now for conferences that are more for entertainment or general education. I find that a lot less people are there previous to 7am. And I just noticed these patterns. And again, but when I started my first non business related conference, I kind of thought Peter, I kind of thought, you know what, if I allow and I invite people like Roseanne or Jim Brewer or Eric Trump to come speak with zero teleprompter. My only rule is no teleprompter. Share the truth. And so I thought that if you have a completely improv style, you know, where we’re doing Q&A, I mean, most of these big time celebrities never do a Q&A, but if you do an open Q&A with people like Jim Brewer and Eric Trump and we had Darryl Strawberry, the Major League Baseball great, that joined me this weekend. I figured there would be an audience that would want to hear what’s going on from their perspective, unscripted. But I didn’t know. So I hopped on a show. I was on a broadcast. I was on CNN. I was on One America, both sides of the political spectrum, told people about it. We had over 50,000 people that requested tickets for the first event we did in Tulsa. And the first church that told me, Peter, they said, Clay, we’d be happy to host an event with you, no problem. And then once some of the churches saw the lineup, some of the pastors started bailing, and so I went to a different church because the first church bailed, and I went to the second church and the second church bailed, I went to the third. I told my wife the whole time, and I just told my wife, I said, I bet you we’re going to have to find three or four churches that will say yes before we find one that will actually host us. And I don’t think it’s because I’m a negative guy. I think it’s because I’m a realist that I was the only people that I knew hosting a large conference during the middle of a pandemic. So I mean, I just want to get your thoughts on this idea of like, we have to be optimistic as entrepreneurs, which I think I was saying, I think there’s a lot of people that will want to come out to an event during the middle of a pandemic. However, we also have to be realistic and know that, you know, these pastors are probably good guys. They probably haven’t dealt with this kind of pressure before, and some of the pastors are going to cancel, and I’m not going to beat them up. I’m just going to find another venue. Can you talk about that, the duality of having optimism while also expecting the reality of dysfunction and error? Yeah, well look, you know, optimism is all good, right? I mean, and I think people love to be around optimism versus pessimism. I think most people would opt for being around somebody who’s optimistic. They tend to have pretty good energy. But the other part of it is, you know, being a proverbial optimist but having no sense of reality is a dangerous mix, right? I mean, so for me, when you’re setting up your events, like you said, you have 50,000 people, you’re able to handle large audiences and you have to have the right venue. So in your case, it’s all about preparation and then having your own self expectation of how many people do I think are going to attend? It’s really interesting to me when you meet people and you meet people who are running companies or they want to run companies, how differently people think and how differently people prepare themselves. And there’s a lot of different ways that you can get to the end zone and be successful. But I tell you what, what I found that works best for me is you’ve got to be prepared. You’ve got to know your product. You’ve got to know your people. You’ve got to set an expectation for yourself, but then somehow be able to measure it. Measure the demand, because putting an event on with 50 people when you’re expecting 500, that’s hard to, nothing seems right. There’s no scale to it, because you’ve got this big room, and you have 50 people in it, and it feels like it’s empty, where if you had a little fireside chat room, it’d be packed, and then have a better vibe, right? So it’s all about doing it right, with the right venue and the right preparation. I’ve got to tell you right now for this event we’re having here in June, we’ve got pretty much, I mean, we’re down to the final eight tickets. So people who are watching this right now, requesting tickets, I’ve done this thing, Peter, again, I’m just hammering this mindset of you’ve got to be optimistic, but also realistic. And so starting in 2005, I remember like it was yesterday, I told my wife, I don’t like traveling and doing two or three conferences a month. I’d rather just do maybe six a year and host it at my own office so I can control the variables, the sound, the lights, the band, the music, the parking. And I kind of created this atmosphere. I think you’ll like it. Hopefully you do. And if you don’t, you can tell me on the show after we do it. But it kind of feels like you’re in a dive bar. There’s a lot of fun variables. We’ve got a mariachi band. We’ve got, I mean, just a little bit of llamas everywhere, alpacas, people are like, what is going on? Llamas, alpacas, mariachi band, we have helicopter rides. There’s just so much pageantry and enthusiasm going on. And people really, really did love it. But I found that, you know, about 15% of people for whatever reason, buy a ticket and can’t show up. And so I always told people, you can buy a ticket. It is transferable. I’d love it if you’d be there because we’re planning for you, but it is transferable if you need to. And I have found that for whatever reason, about 15% of people buy a ticket to a business conference and don’t show up. I don’t quite know the mindset of that. I don’t know what happens. I don’t know if it’s an illness, if it’s a legitimate thing, whatever. But again, we want to make sure it’s full. So what I always do is I always take the total number of tickets that we sell and I add on to it 10% because I bet on 15% not showing up. And again, it Peter, it’s a balancing act between optimism and pessimism that makes entrepreneurship work. And I just think somebody out there, you’re stuck on the side of the delusional optimist, somebody else is stuck on the side of being the pessimist, and really to be an entrepreneur you have to do both. And so as you’re growing Nautical Bowls, how many locations do you have that are open right now, nauticalbowls.com? We just had a few open up this weekend. We’re at 70 open stores and 192 awarded territories. Okay, so nauticalbowls.com, it’s a great franchise, it’s an on-trend meal replacement. I mean, honestly, it’s an incredible opportunity for somebody else out there. I was talking to my family the other day. I actually had this thought of maybe I should buy a Nautical Bowls franchise and have it be a business that my kids could run. But then I started realizing, you know what I’m doing? I’m being too optimistic because I love entrepreneurship and I love waking up at 5 a.m. I love the grind. I love no days off. I love going. And you know what? You give your kids a business, or you help your kids open a business, and they might not want it. And so I started talking to the people who I was thinking about opening a business for, and I said, hey, you know, you young whippersnappers, what do you guys think about owning your own thing? And they’re going, no, we do not want to own our own thing. We want to work for people that own a thing. And I’m going, are you kidding me? So I want to talk about this for a second because buying a franchise, this is an unbelievable time freedom creating opportunity for somebody with the right mindset. Somebody with the wrong mindset, this is a potential liability. I just want to get your mindset because for anybody who’s watching this as an attorney, they’re probably only thinking in terms of mitigating risks and liabilities. Somebody out there that’s under the age of 20, who’s got a little butt of money saved up, they think about this as only opportunity. Who’s this right for? Who’s it not right for? Not a cobalt duck count. Well, you know what? Any business, look, it’s gonna be work. I think going into any business of any franchise, you should prepare yourself that it’s gonna be work. And I think when you go in to any business thinking that you’re going to work hard, and then if the work is actually hard, you’re prepared for it. Rather than going in saying, you know what, I’m going to start this company, I’m going to start this small business, and I’m going to golf every day, and I’m going to golf and fish and come in once a day and just do the till. That’s a bad expectation. That’s the fruits of people that work hard. So ideally, who do we look for? We look for personalities. We like people that have got some motivation, they’re ambitious. The business, what we all love about the business and what our franchisees love about it is it’s simple. There’s not a lot of moving parts. Okay, yes, it’s in the food space, but it’s like a lemonade stand on steroids. It’s a very simple operation, no cooktops, no exhaust hoods. So I love the simplicity of the business. I love the affordability of the business to get into it. Not very technical, unit level economics makes sense. So those are the things that I like and that I look for. It’s relevant to the product, it’s not going away. People are looking for a product that’s plant-based, dairy-free, gluten-free, sour-free, made with organic, all-natural ingredients. Those are all the buzzwords for people that are looking to make a pivot in their nutritional prowess or change their eating habits a bit. So I love the relevance, I love the simplicity, I love the affordability, I love that there’s only one full-time employee and then maybe 10 part-timers in the entire business. So I love the simplicity of it. Now when you look at the numbers, rose-colored glasses or you look at it from a pessimistic worldview ultimately when you buy a franchise you have what’s called an item 19. And for anybody out there that doesn’t know about franchising, what’s so great about franchising, and maybe it’s so terrible for somebody who wants to open a franchise, is it’s regulated by the federal government. And so there’s a franchise disclosure document, also known as an FDD. There’s a lot of jargon in the franchise space, but there’s an FDD. And basically, it’s a disclosure of the business and how it works and the systems. There’s these 23 different items on the FDD that document, it’s very standardized, that documents the different aspects of what makes the business work. But the item 19 shares the financial performance of the franchises. And I love that because you can call the franchisees if you wanted to and do your own research and see who’s doing well and who isn’t. But I tell you this, whether we’re talking about a nautical bulls franchise or an oxy fresh franchise, there’s going to be the top 10% and there’s going to be the bottom 10%. So man, if you call the top 10% of oxy fresh franchise owners, the carpet cleaning franchise I work with those top 10% man, they love the brand. They are booming. They are growing. They are thriving. They’re trying to open more locations. Call the bottom tier 10%. Now again, there’s 500 locations. You call the bottom 10%, they’re going to tell you that the economy isn’t doing well. They’re going to tell you it’s impossible to be successful. And these people have been complaining about the economy since it was booming in 2017. So I’m just telling you, there’s the top, there’s the bottom. You can do your own research, but I want to get your take on that because buying a franchise, franchises are much less likely to fail than non-franchises. What do you like about the franchise space? Well, I love that the generally in most cases, people have figured out the brand, the business before they start selling franchises. And part of the item 19 is you’ve got stores that are open. So the stores are the validation of how is the business performing. And you’re exactly right. You know what? I don’t care any franchise system. You’re going to have a top 20 percent and the bottom 20 percent. And the reality, the bottom 20 percent are not happy. The top 20 percent are ecstatic. They’re making great business decisions and running their company well. Look, in our brand, I think what people love about it, as I said, the simplicity. And with that simplicity comes scale. You can easily replicate. You can easily open one, two, three, you wake up one day, you’ve got four or five locations. So the simpler it is, the less things that you’ve got to manage, which is good for our franchisees and good for the model. So, you know, that’s what keeps our people coming back. Now, the purpose of owning a business, in my opinion, is so you can create time, freedom and financial freedom to do what you want to do. And one of the things that I grew up wanting to do, but we didn’t have the money to do, is I wanted to go on to Lake Minnetonka and boat around. In Minnesota, you say, I’ll go to boat around, don’t you know? I wanted to go to town and go boating. And so I couldn’t do it. We didn’t have a boat, couldn’t afford to do it. But you happen to live on Lake Minnetonka, so could you give us kind of a tour here about Lake Minnetonka? I’m going to zoom in here on Google Earth. Just kind of walk us through the lake. Because this is, one of the things about Lake Minnetonka, I’ve done some work on the lake as a landscaper, is it felt like there were many lakes that were almost quasi-connected to each other. How would you describe the layout of Lake Minnetonka? You know, the beautiful part about Lake Minnetonka, it is, it’s a vast lake and they’re all interconnected. So you can get, for me, I live on the lower lake and I can literally take my boat across the lake. It’s probably 20 miles to get to the other side. But it’s loaded with restaurants, cute little towns that are kind of like little villages where you can park your boat, get out, there’s restaurants, there’s shopping. There’s just a lot of character to it. It’s absolutely beautiful. There’s some beautiful houses around the lake. And that’s Minnesota Lake life, honestly. Now can you get from Wysetta down to here? Can you do this? Yes. No problem. No problem. See, my grandfather used to be an electrician. He had a company called All Star Electric and he lived in Wysetta. So I can kind of see, when Billy’s Lighthouse was a place I remember driving by all the time. Where’s Billy’s Lighthouse? I’m not trying to put paint you into a geographic. That would be way out on the other side. And Billy’s Lighthouse is not on Lake Minnetonka. That’s on another lake. As you know, Minnesota has 11,000 lakes. They say the land of 10,000 lakes, but there’s actually 11,000 lakes. Wow. Yeah. So everywhere you turn around, I mean, you look at the map there, there’s lakes absolutely everywhere. And people are very active. They’re outdoors and they’re wakeboarding, wake surfing, water skiing, all of them. Are there channels? Can you go from right here to here? Is it possible to do that? Yeah, you’ll see. Let’s see here. You’re on Lake Minnetonka. Let me see. Yeah, I see that channel right there. Okay, so you can do that. So you can just get right in between there? Yep, and then you’ve got it. Depending how large your boat is, it’s going to restrict whips of those. But you can motor through all this stuff. No problem. Oh, this is incredible. Big Island, what you see right there. I was just out there on my boat this past weekend. Big Island? Yep, that’s where your cursor is right now. Big Island right here. This is Big Island. Okay. Yeah. And do people live on Big Island or what’s happening on Big Island? Oh, no, I mean, people have cabins on there, but very few, very few, but it’s an island. And there’s some people that have island properties that are obviously three season. They don’t spend their winters out there because there’s no transit. And again, the purpose of growing a successful business is so that you can create time, freedom, and financial freedom. So you gotta have some sort of goal that you lock into that gets you excited, that gets you invigorated. But then you also have to look at the, you have to gather the facts before you act. So you say worst case scenario, what could happen? Best case scenario, is it worth it? So what do you say to somebody out there? You’re sitting down with somebody, final 60 seconds, you’re sitting down with somebody for coffee, you just had a 30 minute talk with them about do you want to become an entrepreneur or not? What do you say to Peter, to somebody out there that’s thinking about going to nauticalbowls.com and learning more about buying a franchise? I would say this, look, if you have aspirations to be an entrepreneur, then you got to think about, you know, how technical, what is it that you love to do? If I were looking for a franchise, I would want to make sure that I’m getting into something that is not too overly technical, that’s relevant to the consumer, relevant today and going to be relevant tomorrow. Okay, so affordability, it’s relevant and not too technical to operate. If you can check those three boxes which Nautical Goals does, then it’s going to be a good franchise for you. And then make sure that they get it sorted out, that they understand what kind of real estate that they should be going into, that they look at the model, they’re measuring the success of their top 20 percenters, and they look for common threads of what makes one location better than another. And then they’re using that, looking at that analytical data and measuring it and using that toward finding future locations. Those are all things in today’s day and age, embracing technology is absolutely key. And that’s exactly what we do. I wish I could convince my kids that they want to open up a Nautical Bowls franchise. And if you’re watching today, I sincerely wish that you would buy a nautical bowls franchise if you live in the Tulsa Oklahoma area because my wife I’m not exactly what percent sure what percentage of my income is invested in buying acai bowls for my kids but it’s gotta be a healthy amount of money because it’s not just a snack the kids view it as a as a meal replacement it’s like the ultimate meal it’s it hits healthy the kids love it. Again, nauticalbulls.com, folks, it’s nauticalbulls.com. Someone says, what’s that website? Nauticalbulls.com, go there right now, check it out. Peter Taunton, I can’t wait to shake your hand and see you in person there in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Thank you for your time, sir. I’m looking forward to it, take care, buddy. Bye-bye. Take care, bye-bye. When William James, another great leader in studies of the human mind, died in 1910, a young newspaper reporter had already begun exploring the minds of America’s greatest man. Here he is, 53 years later, Dr. Napoleon Hill. My greatest book, Think and Grow Rich, was written in the White House in 1933 in the most intense surrounding of negative attitude I have ever witnessed in my entire life, which is evidence, I think, of the fact that there are ways and means of maintaining a positive mental attitude even though you’re surrounded with negative influences. The subject of a positive mental attitude is so very important that I want you to know I’m working from a script because I want this lecture to be letter perfect. A positive mental attitude is a state of mind which the individual must create and maintain by methods of his own choice, through the operations of his own willpower, based on motives of his own adoption. In the printed lesson on this subject, many suggestions are offered as to practical methods by which the individual may take possession of his own mind and develop the habit of directing the mind in a positive mental attitude. There are so many people in this world who can see the hole in the donut, but they cannot see the donut around the hole. Nothing constructive and worthy of man’s efforts ever has been or ever will be achieved except that which comes from a positive mental attitude based upon a devout purpose and activated by a burning desire and intensified until the burning desire is elevated to the plane of applied faith. When it comes to wishes, everyone has a flock of them. When it comes to idle curiosity, everyone has a stock of it. When it comes to hopes, perhaps half of the people have hopes for unattained things or circumstances. Burning desire, only that small percentage of people who can be called successful ever feel the urge of this burning desire. Applied faith, only the leaders attain this degree of mind control which can exist only in a positive mental attitude. Prayer brings a positive result only when it is expressed in a positive mental attitude. The most effective prayers are those expressed by individuals who have conditioned their minds to habitually think in terms of a positive mental attitude. For a great number of years it was a mystery to me as to why my prayers failed more often than they succeeded. When I found out the real cause, I discovered that I was in difficulty, when I wanted someone to bail me out. Later on I learned that the best way to go to prayer is to condition the mind long before an emergency arises by expressing thanks and gratitude for the blessings you already had. The vibrations of thought stood out from the individual’s mind, carry with them no other minds the precise state of mind in which they are released. A fact well known to all master salesmen who have learned how to condition the minds of their prospective buyers before they meet them. Mr. W. Clement Stone has approximately 2,000 salesmen. They have learned the art of conditioning the minds of their prospective buyers to buy long before they interview him. That’s an astounding thing. But I am sure that Mr. Stone’s increase from $3 million of personal worth to over $100 million is due in the main to the fact that those salesmen have been trained to condition first their own minds to be positive, and then that vibration of their minds goes ahead and affects the minds of the prospective buyer. No one can successfully teach the science of personal achievement while in a negative mental attitude. Underscore that one, please. No lawyer can convince a jury, no clergyman can inspire his parishioners, no speaker can hold and influence his audience without the aid of a positive mental attitude. And it has been said that the most successful doctors in all branches of therapy are those who treat their patients with a positive mental attitude. If a doctor went into the sick room in a negative mental attitude, there would be a chance on earth for him to do his patient any good. The subconscious mind of an individual can be educated to produce constructive results only when it is given instructions in a positive mental attitude. The subconscious mind responds most favorably and immediately to a burning desire backed by applied faith, faith followed by action. Constructive mottos are often used by people who recognize what a powerful influence one’s daily environment has on the maintenance of a positive mental attitude. When I was associated with R.G. Letourneau in 1942 and 43, I wrote over 3,000 positive mottos, and here are some of them. You can do it if you believe you can. And how true that is. Whatever it is that you’re tackling, whatever your problem is, you can solve it if you believe you can. Do more than you are paid for, and soon you will be paid for more than you do. The person is worth most who requires the least amount of supervision, and how true that is. Remember your only limitation is that which you set up in your own mind. You fix your own limitation, nobody can fix it for you. The tone of your voice speaks louder than your words. Keep it pleasing, please. A negative mind spawns only negative ideas, and there’s more wrapped up in that short sentence than appears on the lines. A negative mind spawns only negative ideas. A real master salesman will not, under any circumstances, approach a prospective buyer until he has first conditioned his mind to be absolutely positive, because he knows that will pick up his own vibrations and his own feelings and act upon them. The years spent of one’s time determines the space he occupies in the world. Time spent in silent thought may yield fabulous riches through the creation of sound ideas. A man is no bigger than the circumstances which he allows to worry him. Is not a marvellous thought, a man is no bigger than the circumstances which he allows to bother him or worry him. A closed mind stumbles over the blessings of life without discovering them. When the devil wants a job well done, he picks a disgruntled person to do the job. There is the slightest doubt in the world about the soundness of that. The man who can get the job done without alibis is on the sure road to success. Opportunity has the habit of getting in the way of the person with a positive mental attitude. A person with a positive mental attitude attracts opportunity, favorable opportunities, just like a magnet attracts steel filings, and is definitely. And in reverse, a negative mental attitude repels opportunities. Opportunity has the habit of getting in the way of the person with a positive mental attitude. Isn’t that a marvelous thought? thought, cooperation and friendship are two assets that can be had only by first giving them. No one can get to the top and remain there without taking others with him. Politeness begins at home or it doesn’t begin at all. It may not be your duty to return good for evil, but it is your privilege. Never guess when there is a way of knowing. When you do more than you are paid for, you put the boss on a limb. When you do less, you put yourself on a limb. Faith will bridge all rivers of doubt so one may pass over safely. A spider spinning its web has more definiteness of purpose than most men, and how true that is. There is a method by which one may transmute failure into success, poverty into riches, sorrow into joy, fear into faith. The transmutation must start with a positive mental attitude because success, riches, and faith do not make bedfellows with a negative mental attitude. The transmutation procedure is simple. First, when failure overtakes you, start thinking of it as if it had been a success. Start also looking for the seed of an equivalent benefit which seems comes with every failure. While the wounds of disappointment and failure are wide open, it’s very difficult for one to start looking for that seed of an equivalent or a greater benefit. But if you allow a little time to elapse after any type of adversity and then begin to search, you will find that seed of an equivalent benefit. It never fails, it’s always there, because the Creator has so constructed man that he never allows anything to be taken away from anybody without something of equal or greater benefit being available to that person. Although the person may never discover it, the potential is there just the same. When poverty threatens to catch up with you, or has actually caught up, start thinking of it as riches, and visualize the riches in all the things that you wish to do with actual riches. Also start looking for the seed of an equivalent benefit. When fear overtakes you, just remember that fear is only faith in reverse gear. Isn’t that an enormous thought? Fear is only faith in reverse gear. And start thinking in terms of faith by seeing yourself translating faith into whatever circumstance or things you desire. When sorrow overtakes you, start expressing yourself in terms of joy, perhaps by singing or giving thanks for your power to convert sorrow into joy. Act out these positive parts and they will become real. Isn’t that an astounding thought? Of course, when you start acting joyously, when the people around you know that your heart is burdened with sorrow, you may seem ridiculous, but never mind what the other fellow thinks, it’s what you think that counts. I have been criticized by some who didn’t understand the nature of my ten invisible guides. But the reply is that they serve me perfectly, they allow me to say to the world that I have everything upon the face of this earth that I need or desire or want, and if I need more all I have to do is to reach out my hand and get it and close my hand on it. So if those who do not understand the law back of my ten invisible guides wish to criticize, that’s their misfortune, not mine. Have a session with yourself in the bathroom every evening just before retiring. Look at yourself in the mirror and compliment yourself orally and enthusiastically for having already accomplished the things you desire to accomplish tomorrow. And do not stop until you have convinced yourself that what you wish to happen tomorrow will happen. You know, nature has a way of seeing to it that that which you expect comes along. She doesn’t want to disappoint. If you expect failure, if you expect defeat, if you expect ill health, the chances are that you’ll not be disappointed. But if you expect success, which is far better, the chances are also that you will not be disappointed. Who is the greatest person living at the present time? The answer, of course, is that you are the greatest person now living. If you don’t believe this, then begin at once to tell yourself it is true, or it is true as far as you are concerned. Do you know of any person living past or present, or who is more important than you are. Of course you don’t. You are great because you can always become that which you sincerely desire to be. That might not be true if you lived in Russia or China, but you don’t live in Russia or China. You live in the United States of America, the freest, the greatest, the most wonderful nation upon the face of this earth, and you have all of the benefits of this great country to back you in assuming that you’re going to be successful. Create in your imagination an army of invisible guides who will take care of all of your needs, all of your desires, very much the same as I have done. For instance, the guide to physical sound health, whose duty it will be to keep your physical body healed and in good health, and the guide to financial prosperity, whose duty it will be to keep you supplied with all the money you need, and the guide to peace of mind, whose duty it will be to keep your mind cleared of all fears, all doubts, all causes of fear and worry, and the guide to hope, and the guide to faith, whose duties will be to give you inspired guidance as to all of your plans, aims, and purposes. And the guide to romance, and the guide to love, whose duties will be to keep you young in body and in mind. And the guide to overall wisdom, whose duty will be to convert to your benefit all circumstances and influences which affect your life, whether they are good or bad, negative or positive, and the guide to persistence, and the guide to Norm Hill. Norm Hill is my roving ambassador who carries out various orders from me which are not specifically assigned to the other nine guides. You didn’t call your roving ambassador by the name of Norm Hill. You can call him anything you choose. But if you’ll have this invisible talisman working for you, you’ll find that he’ll do a marvelous job, if you believe he will. compensation needed to keep these invisible guides eternally active in your service will be an expression of gratitude offered each night before you retire, in which you will thank them individually for the service they have rendered you during the day and the service they will render you tomorrow and always. That’s all they require, an expression of gratitude. Intuitively, that word gratitude is one of the most marvelous words in the English language. I often wonder how many people there are in the world who have ever experienced this marvelous feeling of gratitude for the blessings they already have. If you find some of the ideas expressed in this lesson to be new, don’t be alarmed, for for it may well be that new ideas alert one’s mind and motivate it to create still other new ideas. Motivation, action, enthusiasm, faith, these are the states of mind which are associated with a positive mental attitude. Habits. You are the sum total of your habits, whether they be habits you have developed with purpose of poor thought, or habits you have allowed to creep upon you by neglect to form your own. A successful, well-balanced, and well-rounded out life is the result of ordered habits and never the result of chance or neglect. Positive habits can live and thrive only in the mind which has been conditioned with a positive mental attitude, and your other self. Each human being is a plural, not a singular being. One of these beings is negative, the other is positive, and there is a battle from birth until death between these two as to which will dominate. Usually the power is about evenly divided between the positives and the negatives. But often the negative takes over completely and makes of the individual a subject of irritation to himself and to all others around him. The development of a positive mental attitude is the first step which one must take in order to give the positive self full and complete control over the negative self. Then one has truly taken possession of his own mind and is able to direct it to whatever ends he may desire, thus fulfilling the purpose of the Creator in having given man complete control over but one thing, and that is his own mind. I think of all the facts that I have examined in life, that the Creator has given man control over but one thing, and one thing only, and that is the right to use his thinking positively or negatively. Eternal vigilance is the price that one must pay to maintain a positive mental attitude because of these and other natural opposites of positive thinking, such as your negative self constantly maneuvers for power over you. You can feel that. You don’t need to take my word for it. You felt it in the past. You may not have defined the feeling properly, but you know very well that there is something going on within you, constantly, in the nature of a negative thought, then your accumulated fears, doubts, and self-imposed limitations, which came over with you when you came from the other side, they’re constantly standing in the way of a positive mental attitude. Then the negative influences near you, including people who are negative, and especially sometimes the people with whom you work or their relatives with whom you are associated. And perhaps some inborn negative traits which you brought over with you at the time of birth. These also can be transmuted into positive traits. Worries over the lack of money and the lack of progress in your business, profession, or calling in life. I don’t know of anything that can pull a rug out from under one quicker than worries over a lack of money. Unrequited love and unbalanced emotional frustrations in your relationships with the opposite sex. I suspect that sends as many people to the insane asylum as any other cause. Unrequited love. It seems to me that a man or a woman who has been disappointed in a love affair would look upon the affair very much as a sort of a streetcar ride. You know, if you stand by the side of the streetcar line long enough, one will come along. So don’t let it worry you in the meanwhile. And unsound health, either real or imaginary, that also is something that you have to battle against in order to maintain a positive mental attitude. And intolerance, the lack of an open mind on all subjects toward all people. You certainly have to keep a close check on that one if you’re going to maintain a positive mental attitude. It makes no difference how much another person may deserve your hatred or your dislike or your intolerance. He may deserve it, but you can’t afford to give it on account of what it’s going to do to you. and greed for more material possessions than you need. I have probably seen and known and dealt with more wealthy men in this country than any other one individual. And I want to tell you, my friends, that I can count on the fingers of my one hand the extremely wealthy men with whom I would have cared to change places. Most of them paid too much for the money they got. Their greed outran their reason. They were getting no peace of mind out of life. You can get too much money in life, you can also get too little. Somewhere in between the two extremes is the proper place to stop. I have a motto which says, not too much, not too little. And that goes not only for money, it goes for everything. Not too much, not too little. Just enough to maintain a well-ordered and a well-balanced life. Ignorance of the real extent of the power of your mind and its unlimited potentials for the attainment of anything you desire, also is a handicap to the maintenance of a positive mental attitude, and lack of a definite major purpose in the plan for its attainment. Two out of a hundred perhaps have a definite major purpose, and that would be putting the percentage rather high if you took the people as a whole. And the habit of allowing others to do your thinking for you. Now check yourself rigidly on each of the above enemies of positive thinking and go to work wherever you agree less than 100% on immunity against any of these causes. If you have a mastermind alliance, have each of its members to carefully check and grade you on each of the above causes, since it is a common trait of human beings to be biased in evaluating themselves, sometimes in their own favor, but more often against themselves. As a student of the science of personal achievement, you are engaged in a complete overhauling job through which you will evolve into a new and a better set of habits by which you conduct your life. Remember therefore that no price you have to pay for this better way of living is too high. Actually, the only price you have to pay is that of following the instructions laid down in the philosophy under these instructions until these instructions become your daily habits. Socrates said, wisdom saltens poverty and adorns riches. And Napoleon Hill says that a positive mental attitude will do the same, or even more, by eliminating poverty altogether. Every adversity carries with it the seed of an equivalent benefit. The proper way to attain this benefit is by starting to look for the seed as soon as the adversity appears instead of brooding over the circumstance. A positive mental attitude is the only attitude in which that seed may be revealed and germinated into a full-blown flower of benefit. Everyone, my friends, I suppose, desires to be rich, but not everyone knows what constitutes constitutes enduring riches, and most people believe riches to consist only in the material things that money can buy. Let me disillusion you on that subject by giving you an outline of the twelve great riches of life. Number one, a positive attitude that stands at the head of the list of all of the riches of life. Number two, sound physical health. And number three, harmony in all of your human relations. Number four, freedom from fear. Number five, the hope of future achievement. The capacity for applied faith. Number seven, a willingness to share your blessings with others. And number eight, to be engaged in the labor of love. Number nine, an open mind on all subjects toward all people. Number ten, complete self-discipline. And number 11, the wisdom with which to understand people. And number 12, financial security. Note that it comes last. There are 11 other things which may be used as a foundation upon which to make proper use of money, and without these other nine things, money can be just as dangerous as it can be helpful. Observe that money is the last thing on the list, eleven other riches preceded, without which money can become a curse and nothing more. Study these twelve great riches carefully and observe that not one of them can be attained without the application of a positive mental attitude. That is why it leads the list. In the lesson on a pleasing personality, you will observe also that a positive mental attitude heads the list of the 31 traits which give one a pleasing personality. And I thank you. We get into the specifics, the specific steps on what you need to do to optimize your website. We’re going to teach you how to fix your conversion rate. We’re going to teach you how to do a social media marketing campaign that works. How do you raise capital? How do you get a small business loan? We teach you everything you need to know here during a two-day, 15-hour workshop. It’s all here for you. You work every day in your business, but for two days you can escape and work on your business and build these proven systems so now you can have a successful company that will produce both the time freedom and the financial freedom that you deserve. You’re going to leave energized, motivated, but you’re also going to leave empowered. The reason why I built these workshops is because as an entrepreneur I always wish that I had this and because there wasn’t anything like this I would go to these motivational seminars, no money down, real estate, Ponzi scheme, get motivated seminars and they would never teach me anything. It was like you went there and you paid for the big chocolate Easter bunny but inside of it it was a hollow nothingness and I wanted the knowledge, and they’re like, oh, but we’ll teach you the knowledge after our next workshop. And the great thing is we have nothing to upsell. At every workshop, we teach you what you need to know. There’s no one in the back of the room trying to sell you some next big get-rich-quick, walk-on-hot-coals product. It’s literally, we teach you the brass tacks, the specific stuff that you need to know to learn how to start and grow a business. I encourage you to not believe what I’m saying, and I want you to Google the Z66 auto auction. I want you to Google elephant in the room. Look at Robert Zellner and Associates. Look them up and say, are they successful because they’re geniuses, or are they successful because they have a proven system? When you do that research, you will discover that the same systems that we use in our own business can be used in your business. Come to Tulsa, book a ticket, and I guarantee you it’s going to be the best business workshop ever, and we’re going to give you your money back if you don’t love it. We built this facility for you, and we’re excited to see it. And now you may be thinking, what does it actually cost to attend an in-person, two-day interactive Thrive Time Show business workshop? Watch what a person does, not what they say. Good morning, good morning, good morning. Harvard Kiyosaki Rich Dad Radio Show. Today I’m broadcasting from Phoenix, Arizona, not Scottsdale, Arizona. They’re close, but they’re completely different worlds. And we have a special guest today. Definition of intelligence is if you agree with me, you’re intelligent. And so this gentleman is very intelligent. I’ve done this show before also, but very seldom do you find somebody who lines up on all counts. And so Mr. Clay Clark is a friend of a good friend, Eric Trump. But we’re also talking about money, bricks, and how screwed up the world can get in a few and a half hour. So Clay Clark is a very intelligent man, and there’s so many ways we could take this thing. But I thought since you and Eric are close, Trump, what were you saying about what Trump can’t – what Donald, who is my age, and I can say or cannot say? Well, first of all, I have to honor you, sir. I want to show you what I did to one of your books here. There’s a guy named Jeremy Thorn, who was my boss at the time, I was 19 years old working at Faith Highway. I had a job at Applebee’s, Target and Direct TV. And he said, have you read this book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad? And I said, no. And my father, may he rest in peace, he didn’t know these financial principles. So I started reading all of your books and really devouring your books. And I went from being an employee to self-employed to the business owner, to the investor. And I owe a lot of that to you. And I just wanted to take a moment to tell you, thank you so much for allowing me to achieve success. And I’ll tell you all about Eric Trump. I just want to tell you, thank you, sir, for changing my life. Well, not only that, Clay, you know, thank you, but you’ve become an influencer. You know, more than anything else, you’ve evolved into an influencer where your word has more and more power. So that’s why I congratulate you on becoming. Because as you know, there’s a lot of fake influencers out there, or bad influencers. Yeah. Anyway, I’m glad you and I agree so much, and thanks for reading my books. Yeah. That’s the greatest thrill for me today. Not a thrill, but recognition is when people, young men especially, come up and say, I read your book, changed my life, I’m doing this, I’m doing this, I’m doing this. I learned at the Academy at King’s Point in New York, acta non verba. Watch what a person does, not what they say. Hey, I’m Ryan Wimpey. I’m originally from Tulsa, born and raised here. I went to a small private liberal arts college and got a degree in business and I didn’t learn anything like they’re teaching here. I didn’t learn linear workflows. I learned stuff that I’m not using and I haven’t been using for the last nine years So what they’re teaching here is actually way Better than what I got at business school and I went what was actually ranked as a very good business school The linear workflow the linear workflow for us and getting everything out on paper and documented is really important Like we have workflows that are kind of all over the place to the having linear workflow and seeing that mapped out on multiple different boards it’s pretty awesome that’s really helpful for me. The atmosphere here is awesome I definitely just stared at the walls figuring out how to make my facility look like this place this place rocks that it’s invigorating the walls are super it’s just very cool the atmosphere is cool the people are nice it’s a pretty cool place to be. Very good learning atmosphere. I literally want to model it and steal everything that’s here at this facility and basically create it just on our business side. Once I saw what they were doing, I knew I had to get here at the conference. This is probably the best conference or seminar I’ve ever been to in over 30 years of business. You’re not bored. You’re awake, alive the whole time. It’s not pushy. It’ll try to sell you a bunch of things. I was looking to learn how to just get control of my life, my schedule, and just get control of the business. Planning your time, breaking it all down, making time for the F6 in your life, and just really implementing it and sticking with the program. It’s really lively. They’re pretty friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. I attended a conference a couple months back, and it was really the best business conference I’ve ever attended. At the workshop, I learned a lot about time management, really prioritizing what’s the most important. The biggest takeaways are, you know, you want to take a step-by-step approach to your business, whether it’s marketing, you know, what are those three marketing tools that you want to use, to human resources. Some of the most successful people and successful businesses in this town, their owners were here today because they wanted to know more from Clay and I found that to be kind of fascinating. The most valuable thing that I’ve learned is diligence. That businesses don’t change overnight. It takes time and effort and you’ve got to go through the ups and downs of getting it to where you want to go. He actually gives you the road map out. I was stuck, didn’t know what to do, and he gave me the roadmap out step by step. We’ve set up systems in the business that make my life much easier, allow me some time freedom. Here you can ask any question you want, they guarantee it will be answered. This conference motivates me and also gives me a lot of knowledge and tools. It’s up to you to do this. Everybody can do these things. There’s stuff that everybody knows, but if you don’t do it, nobody else can do it for you. I can see the marketing working. It’s just an approach that makes sense. Probably the most notable thing is just the income increase that we’ve had. Everyone’s super fun and super motivating. I’ve been here before, but I’m back again because it motivates me. Your competition’s gonna come eventually or try to pick up these tactics. So you better, if you don’t, somebody else will. I’m Rachel with Tip Top K9, and we just want to give a huge thank you to Clay and Vanessa Clark. Hey, guys. I’m Ryan with Tip Top K9. Just want to say a big thank you to Thrive 15. Thank you to Make Your Life Epic. We love you guys. We appreciate you, and really just appreciate how far you’ve taken us. This is our old house. This is where we used to live two years ago. This is our old neighborhood. See? This is the… Nice, right? So this is my old van and our old school marketing and this is our old team. And by team I mean it’s me and another guy. This is our new house with our new neighborhood. This is our new van with our new marketing and this is our new team. We went from four to fourteen and I took this beautiful photo. We worked with several different business coaches in the past and they were all about helping Ryan sell better and just teaching sales, which is awesome, but Ryan is a really great salesman, so we didn’t need that. We needed somebody to help us get everything that was in his head out into systems, into manuals and scripts and actually build a team. So now that we have systems in place, we’ve gone from one to 10 locations in only a year. In October 2016, we grossed 13 grand for the whole month. Right now it’s 2018, the month of October. It’s only the 22nd. We’ve already grossed a little over 50 grand for the whole month and we still have time to go. We’re just thankful for you, thankful for Thrive and your mentorship, and we’re really thankful that you guys have helped us to grow a business that we run now instead of the business running us. Just thank you, thank you, thank you, times a thousand. So we really just want to thank you, Clay, and thank you, Vanessa, for everything you’ve done, everything you’ve helped us with. We love you guys. If you decide to not attend the Thrive Time Workshop, you’re missing out on a great opportunity. The atmosphere of Clay’s office is very lively. You can feel the energy as soon as you walk through the door. And it really got me and my team very excited. If you decide not to come, you’re missing out on an opportunity to grow your business, bottom line. I love the environment. I love the way that Clay presents and teaches. It’s a way that not only allows me to comprehend what’s going on, but he explains it in a way to where it just makes sense. The SEO optimization, branding, marketing, I’ve learned more in the last two days than I have the entire four years of college. The most valuable thing that I’ve learned, marketing is key, marketing is everything. Making sure that you’re branded accurately and clearly. How to grow a business using Google reviews and then just how to optimize our name through our website also. Helpful with a lot of marketing, search engine optimization, helping us really rank high in Google. The biggest thing I needed to learn was how to build my foundation, how to systemize everything and optimize everything, build my SEO. How to become more organized, more efficient. How to make sure the business is really there to serve me, as opposed to me constantly being there for the business. new ways of advertising my business as well as recruiting new employees. Group interviews, number one. Before we felt like we were held hostage by our employees. Group interviews has completely eliminated that because you’re able to really find the people that would really be the best fit. Hands-on how to hire people, how to deal with human resources, a lot about marketing and overall just how to structure the business, how it works for me and also then how that can translate into working better for my clients. The most valuable thing I’ve learned here is time management. I like the one hour of doing your business is real critical if I’m going to grow and change. Play really teaches you how to navigate through those things and not only find freedom, but find your purpose in your business and find the purposes for all those other people that directly affect your business as well. Everybody. Everybody. Everybody. Everyone. Everyone needs to attend the conference because you get an opportunity to see that it’s real. Hey, Flyover family. Come join us June the 27th and 28th, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We’re going to be there with Clay Clark, an amazing group of individuals that have made such a difference in so many people’s lives. Do you want to increase your production in a job? Do you want to make more sales? Do you want to own your own business? Do you want to have breakthroughs financially? The key to that is knowledge. Clay Clark is anointed to help people in business. We’ve watched him over the last couple of years and we’ve been blown away. He’s part owner of over 160 businesses. 2.4 billion dollars in sales. Before politics and the great reset came into Clay’s life, he had the number one rated Apple podcast and he interviewed people like Anthony Robbins, Seth Godin, the top authors, the top business minds in the world. At this specific event there was an interesting cast of characters that come from gangs to American Idol. Some of the guests that are going to be there Michael Levine, Colton Dixon, Peter Thompson, John Lee Dumas, Mando De La Viga. And Tim Tebow. They’re there to share what they’ve done and their breakthroughs and what their story is. And then Clay lays his map of business success, calls the path for every person to follow. So you may be sitting there thinking, okay, okay, I get it, I get it, what do I have to do? to thrive timeshow.com. When you get there, the tickets are $250 or whatever you can afford. Yes, you got that right. $250 or whatever you can afford. You can name your price. There are no excuses. You have to join us there. There are only a few VIP tickets left, like David said, special dinner and special time with the speakers. That is $500 why they last. So $500, only a few left if you want a VIP ticket. We want to meet these speakers as well, so we got VIP tickets. I want to meet Tim Tebow. I do too. The date is June the 27th and 28th, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Go to thrivetimeshow.com to get your ticket. Oh my God. What’s up? Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey, guys. Hey guys, Luke Erickson here with the Thrive Time Show. As you can see behind me, we’ve got all kinds of energy going on. People are starting to show up for the conference and it is hot in this place. We’ve got air-to-air space shuttle rooms up there. We’ve got sneak-burning, 10-inch, low-length concepts up there. We’re talking about what is possible when you just implement, you implement, you do the improvements. It’s so exciting. People are going crazy. I’m going to be the writer of many, many PR books, the man who represents people like Michael Jackson, Barbara Streisand, George Bush, Stanley Pond, speaking to people here at our conference, talking about branding. One of the greatest branding experts alive today is here at our conference talking to entrepreneurs. We just wrapped up day one. It was incredible. We had some remarkable speakers. Michael Levine. We just finished with a lady named Jill Donovan who owns a company called Rustic Cuff talking about the power of the Dream 100. I cannot wait to see what tomorrow holds. Hey guys, Luke Erickson with the Thrive Time Show here with you. It is day two and the energy is high. People are so excited to be showing up. The team is ready. Come on, let’s see what it’s like to go on in for day two. Follow me. I’ll tell you what, people are so excited to be here for day two. It is going to be incredible. Cannot wait to see what today has in store. Right now, here at the conference, we’ve broken into groups going over search engine optimization. I know for most of us, myself included, if you hear that term, you go, what is that? What does that mean? That’s too techy for me. Well, our experts are breaking it down for people so that you can clearly understand how to come up top in Google. It’s doable, it’s possible. Now we’re in the middle of a break and what we like to do is we like to give you as much tangible and relevant information from about the start of the hour for 45 minutes. Then we take approximately a 15-minute break to allow people to connect with other entrepreneurs around them, bathroom break, and also use this time to just really digest all of the good information that you’re receiving the whole time. Right behind me we’ve got Bob with his drill gun melting an ice sculpture. It is awesome. The ice sculpture represents our life, right? It’s here for a time but we all need to have the sense of urgency to implement the things that we’re learning so that we can make the most of the time that we have. We are outside, you can see a line behind me. What’s going on is that we partner with different companies to help them implement the proven systems over and over and over again. And one of those companies is Master Machine. And so what we like to do is partner with these companies to also help them give samples to other people as they come to the conference and truly get their name out. I just wanted to recap some of the amazing things that have happened today. We’ve had entrepreneurs like Paul Hood with Good CPAs. We’ve had Jill Donovan and Michael Levin come up. It just imparts so much wisdom and knowledge. We’ve got an incredible giveaway for one of the things that we love most about our business conferences is that we want every entrepreneur to leave with their questions answered. So what we do is we let them put the questions up on the board here so that they can ask their The question is answered. answers all of those questions so that they’re the most set up for the business to be able to go home and start implementing. If you have any questions, email us at info at thrive timeshare.com. Hello, I’m Wes Carter. I’m one of the shareholders at Winters and King. My favorite thing that Thrive has helped me accomplish here in our firm is thinking a little bit outside the box. They do SEO, they do printing, they help us with a lot of things from a day to day marketing for the firm, but they also help us think of things that as attorneys we probably wouldn’t normally think of that help us market our services to our clients. One of the things I love about working with Thrive is that they make it enjoyable to actually do work with them. not dry, it’s usually fun, but it’s always very enjoyable and practical. They give me things and ideas that I can put into place. It’s not just some theoretical spiel that they give me. We get practical steps that we work on together to do my job better. So me personally, I would easily recommend Thrive 15 services to my friends, my families. I recommend them to my clients. I think they do a good job. They’re passionate. They care about their clients. And I think it’s actually a valuable service they provide to people that are in the business world. My name is Jeff Thomas. I’m originally from Atlanta, Georgia. It’s all about getting to the grindstone. It is about putting the – it’s one thing to have a specific vision or a dream, but knowledge without application isn’t knowledge at all. That’s nothing. It’s really funny. The atmosphere is very lively. Everybody that is working for Clay is very upbeat and not tired, not sluggish, not complaining, not whining. They don’t have anything to do with those types of characteristics. It’s all about getting to the grind and having fun while you do it. I haven’t actually been to any conferences in the past, but what I will say from what I’ve seen on YouTube and what from other friends have told me is this isn’t like a motivational kind of thing such as you know, hoo-hoo rah-rah gets you motivated, but it’s like practical steps that if you do take them, which most people aren’t willing to do, then you will grow and you will achieve the specific things that you want. Well, for one thing, I would say that this isn’t necessarily for everyone. So if you’re not willing to work, this isn’t for you. But I would say that if you are willing to work and you’re just getting started, but you have actually taken a step in that direction, then this will actually help you grow further exponentially than you could ever imagine. My name is Taylor Hall. I’m the general manager of the Tulsa Oilers professional hockey team. You know, our goal every night here at the BOK Center is to try to fill the seats with lots of people and create an exciting environment so when somebody comes to a game, they’ve really helped us in many, many ways. Website and graphic design and video production and a lot of things that go along. A lot of businesses, including ours, doesn’t have a staff or a full-time videographer or graphic designer. But the biggest thing that we noticed was the needle mover. More sales, more attendance, more successes in business. We had a record year last season working with Clay for the first time. Our average attendance is higher than it’s ever been. So there’s a lot of really cool things that we did and they worked. That’s the nice thing about working with Clay and the team over there. It’s just not one person, you get the entire team. If you need video design and editing and production, they’ve got that. If you need graphic design, if you need some coaching, your sales people, and call scripts, PR, they offer all that. Clay was instrumental in helping guiding us and getting us on the right track so that we could really raise the bar and become ultra successful. So it’s been an amazing experience for us. My name is Kaitlin. I own a tumbling gym called Justice Tumbling Company. It’s awesome. Working with Clay is so helpful. Just being diligent with everything and making sure we execute our goals and really make things happen. It’s fun, it’s high, it really gets you energized and going. It makes you really want to work to get the momentum going, to really just get that buzz, to really give you the energy to get up and make it happen. I’m Bob Healy. I’m in the charcoal grilling industry. And the name of my business is Grillblazer. How will I apply what I’ve learned so far into my business? I’m actually a client of the Fri15. And I learned so much from what I’m learning at this conference and my regular weekly attendance that it’s helping me establish the business and get it off the ground. Clay’s presentation style is just blatant disregard for what anybody wants. He just has fun, it’s him, everything that you see is authentically Clay. It’s a great deal of fun, everybody enjoys it. They know when you walk in they think they’re coming into a carnival, and frankly they are. It’s just great fun. There’s not another conference like it. You just don’t go to a carnival atmosphere and learn like you do here at a Thrive conference. It’s great. The reason people should attend at least one of these conferences is because it’s common sense. And everybody’s fed an entire line about the way you should run a business, but until you actually experience running a business, which is, candidly, what you learn here, how to run a business, you don’t know what you’re doing. My name is Tyler Hastings, and this is my wife, Rachel. And our company is Delricht Research out of New Orleans. During our time working with Thrive, we’ve had numerous successes. When we first started, we were working with one physician. We had one research site. And we were seeing, on average, between 10 and 15 patients a week. Since working with Thrive in the last 18 months, we now have four research sites. We work with over five physicians and on average we’re now seeing over 60 patients per week. Recently we’ve been the top enroller worldwide in seven studies, which is just incredible considering where we were, you know, two years ago, 18 months ago. Thrive really differs from the other conferences that we’ve been to and the other kind of programs that we’ve been through because they actually really practice what they preach and they implement the same systems and the processes that they teach you about and they give you real life examples that really work for them and show you with the training how to implement that yourself. For example, Tyler and I actually got the opportunity to come out to Tulsa and we’re fortunate enough that the Thrive team took us out to some of the businesses that they own and we really got to see in real life, real time, some of the systems and processes and it was just incredible. A real life example of some of the businesses and the things that they’re implementing. Having a coach is important to us. They act as not only an accountability factor, but they’re someone we can talk to on a daily basis as we go through the problems of running a business that inevitably come up. They always understand what we’re going through and they’re always there to help us or guide us through the problems that we experience. The best part of our experience working with Thrive has just been seeing our relationship grow. So at each step as our business grows, they have something else to provide us with. They’ve got the resources, whether it be marketing, graphic design, website development, or even in accounting practices, maybe we need a new insurance policy. If they have someone they can connect us with or if they have the direct resource we need to speak with for any of the problems we face. If someone’s thinking about signing up for the coaching program, I would highly recommend that they call in for a free 30-minute coaching session and see exactly what the team can do for you. Just speak with someone. Let them know what you’re going through, and I think you’ll find that, you know, regardless of what you need, there’s someone there that can help you. Clay’s presentation style is very real and raw. Like, it just gets real down to the bone of it and the real purpose of it. There’s no like fluffy vagueness about it, you know. So, he really gets to the point. I’m always reminded about how important it is to be intentional and to really pay attention to how you schedule your time and really honor it. Because whatever gets scheduled gets done. That’s what he said from Lee Copperl. So, just constantly hearing that and getting reminded helps me to reinforce that in my own life. It always helps to get an outside perspective, and especially from a guy that’s grown so many multi-billion dollar businesses. It doesn’t hurt. My name is Nick Guajardo. I heard about the Thrive Time Show workshop through Andy Mathren. He is my, Andy Mathren and Larry Montgomery, they’re my bosses at Restore Home Health. So I work with a home health company called Restore Home Health and my role is pretty much to bring in business. So I was hoping to learn kind of the sales process on top of just kind of the responsibilities and help understand what it looks like on the SEO side and just kind of an all-around what it looks like to own a business because that’s something I want to do in the future for sure. How I would describe the atmosphere here at Thrive is high energy, great professionalism, great people. It’s just it’s a place you definitely want to visit and The app plays delivery style humorous professional Hilarious just he does it. I haven’t seen someone do it better. So he does he does a great job Most valuable thing I’ve learned so far a lot of it has been extremely valuable So but one one thing that’s always really stuck out to me is the s learning the SEO stuff I mean that is I think things you don’t really even think about, and then you hear it and you think you know it, but you don’t know it. So I feel like that was the most valuable. Well, they’re missing out on just what comes down to just basic applications to be a business owner. I mean, I feel like it’s like an absolute necessity, you know, to come here and learn the ins and outs, and maybe come here once or twice if they take good notes, that kind of thing. Why? It’s the experience here and what you can learn, like absolutely. So, marketing and SEO seemed like something that would be very scary, but then in the way that Clay and his team described it, it became very clear and concise and something that’s very accessible to any business owner. I’ve learned a lot about marketing at this conference, a lot about business management and HR, really everything, the key components of anybody’s business, they’re going to give you the best tools to be successful. So most workshops or conferences can be really boring, really one note, or they just seem so theatrical that it’s a joke and it’s not even giving you the tools that you need or that you came there for. But here it’s still high energy, it’s still fun, everything’s to the point, but it’s very professional. And yeah, you’re missing out on easy steps to use in your business that are very accessible and very clear. My name is Abigail McCarter. The best thing I’ve learned so far is definitely organization, schedule-wise, always keeping a to-do list, keeping your calendar organized. I’m kind of all over the place so that’s always good to know. So Clay’s presentation style and the atmosphere is electric. It’s so energetic, it’s so fun. Clay’s hilarious but also knows a ton so it’s just really great all around. This conference is much different than any other conference I’ve gone to. Again, because it’s fun. A lot of other conferences, it’s really quiet, really cold, and you just kind of get bored. But this one, you’re always engaged, you’re always learning something, and the staff is amazing. They’re always super helpful. So, it’s just been really great. My name is Clint Howard. We’re a personal training and fitness training facility. Oh, wow. I’m learning a ton. Like, this morning so far has been search engine optimization. So really just the importance of being at the top of Google, how Google works, and why it’s so important to go out and get video reviews and testimonials and getting Google reviews. And so all those things we can take back and really apply that, like, immediately. So it’s really cool to see not only how to do it, but really the relevance and the importance of the long-term strategy of your business. Now, it’s amazing, actually, the way in this morning and yesterday, I was videoing as I was walking in the front entrance. And actually, me, I go to a lot of seminars, I go to a lot of conferences, massive ones. I’ve been doing that since I was like 22 years old, so gosh, almost 20 years now. And this is by far the most entertaining, not only the content, the content is amazing, but Clay and you guys do a great job of mixing in entertainment where it’s fun, it’s fresh, it’s lively, you never get bored. I heard a study one time that the reason that children learn so much quicker is because it’s fun, learning is fun. So obviously Clay is nailed that, where it’s very fun to be here and keeps you awake, keeps you energized. So I’m having a blast. Yeah, I think any business owner or someone that wants to own a business or considering owning and starting a business should definitely come. I know that I was referred here by friends of mine and clients of mine, and I’ve referred other people. Again, just to understand what it takes to make a business successful, to have a good time, obviously, like I was just saying, have fun, and network with a lot of people here you can learn from. And there’s a lot of great stuff we’ve taught other people. So I think this is a must-do for anybody that owns a business or that wants to start a business. My name is Jamie Fagel. I’m with Jameson Fine Cabinetry. I heard about the conference through Andrew. He’s the coach that I deal with here at Thrive. The most valuable piece I found even working with Andrew, but it’s been solidified when it came here, was you’ve got to actually do the things that they’re telling you. With no action, you’re not going to get anything from it. I would highly recommend this to almost anybody in business today. I have recommended to some of my other business partners. It’s phenomenal. It’s really something that if you want to start a business the old way of doing things is gone. This is what you got to do. It’s the only way it’ll work. Hey this is Charles and Amber Kola. We’re the owners of Kola Fitness. The way we’re able to do that is working with Clay for the last three years. He has really readjusted our thinking and taught us that our business is here to serve us. And by doing that we’re able to live the lifestyle we want and take off on a random vacation last minute. We had totally planned on being at the conference. So wish we could be there and meet all of you. We know you’re having a great time. Yes, Clay in the last three years has helped us build all the necessary systems, checklists, workflows, task lists, time blocks, audits that are always running and the right capable lieutenants to keep track of all that so that you too can get time freedom, financial freedom, and that’s what we have done and Clay has helped us do. We’ve got multiple companies in multiple states and they’re all doing very well, getting ready to go to more locations in this next year and Koala Fitness has a really big future. We’re teaming up with a couple other groups and we should scale the company here shortly. Hopefully we’ll open like 50 locations in the next 10 years. So but yeah we’re on the way we’re gonna probably more than double our company, maybe triple our company in the next eight to nine months and it’s just awesome. God is working in our business and we’re making Jesus and changing lives. We’re a strong Christian company that focuses on making Jesus famous and changing lives in the fitness field and this is Charles and Amber Koloff. Thank you Thrive. Hit your action items. We love you guys. We wish you were there. You guys have a wonderful day. Bye-bye. My name is Jennifer Johnson. I’m in the pest control industry and also weed control fertilization. And my business is Platinum Pest and Lawn. Some of the things that… I’ll be able to apply a lot of the things that I’ve learned in our business because this is not my first conference. And so a lot of the things that we learned we’ve put into place and now we’re doing the next level of refining the processes for just a different concept. And so it’s getting better and better. Things that were just big processes before, we have the foundation laid and now we’re able to make it better and better. And I’m hearing different things now that we’ve implemented things. And so we can just make it even better, implement it in our open sense. Play’s presentation in the atmosphere is very exciting and fun. It keeps you awake. It makes it interesting. You have a lot of information, but if it’s not going to be entertaining, your brain is going to tune it out. But Play makes it just entertaining enough that you retain what you learn. Lots of rhyming and catchy things so that you remember stuff. What makes this conference different than other workshops or conferences that I’ve been to is that there’s a lot of people here in my same situation. Most of us are pretty small businesses wanting to improve. And we want real-life information and something that will work and that’s attainable and not just some crazy magic formula but actual action items that we can implement in our business and actually see a difference. Everyone should attend a drive type business conference whether you’re a business owner or not. A, if you’re a business owner it has practical applications that you can apply to so many different parts of your business and then you need to come back for more so that you can keep doing more of the wonderful things that you learned. But secondly, I am also a mom of three kids and a lot of the concepts can actually be applied to home. Like getting routines and getting, setting systems at home has just seriously made a huge difference in my life at home. So I’ve been able to improve our business, but I’ve also been able to improve things at home. And so, that’s why everyone should come, no matter what your station is in life. My name is Nolan Q. I’m originally from San Francisco, California. The industry that I’m in is financial services. I’ve learned a ton so far, but what I can best apply from this conference is the opportunity, that hunger to go out there and make a big difference in my district. Clay’s presentation style is amazing. He’s got an endless amount of energy. It’s contagious. And yeah, by being here, I really do want to go back and be able to face all the adversity that the industry has. Yeah, this conference, the thing that makes it different is that it’s special because it has a unique set of individuals that all share that same energy. I think he picked it as dragon energy. energy but yeah that everyone should come to multiple but our first would be very special yeah you’re welcome with a lot of enthusiasm that’s a that’ll last for a long time. My name is Gabriella Cruz. Our business is HDS Electric. My husband is the owner but I’m involved with that so we’re a electric company. Well here at the conference they talk a lot about consistency and so just staying consistent with different things in the business. I feel like applying that to our business model will really help us grow. The atmosphere is very positive, uplifting, and it’s very fun and energetic and so it gets you pumped and it gets you excited and it encourages you to do big things. I probably how real they are. They tell you up front what you need to do and what’s like a no-go. And so conferences are, they kind of sugarcoat things, so I like how real they are here. I think it’ll definitely, if you want your business to grow, I think this would be a great, a great experience. And then not only that, it’ll encourage you and inform you on so many things you don’t think about on a daily basis. Hey, I’m Ryan Wimpey. I’m originally from Tulsa, born and raised here. I’ve definitely learned a lot about life design and making sure the business serves you. The linear workflow, the linear workflow for us in getting everything out on paper and documented is really important. We have workflows that are kind of all over the place. Having linear workflow and seeing that mapped out on multiple different boards is pretty awesome. That’s really helpful for me. The atmosphere here is awesome. I definitely just stared at the walls figuring out how to make my facility look like this place. This place rocks. It’s invigorating. The walls are super, it’s just very cool. The atmosphere is cool, the people are nice, it’s a pretty cool place to be. Very good learning atmosphere. I literally want to model it and steal everything that’s here at this and basically create it just on our business side. Play is hilarious. I literally laughed so hard that I started having tears yesterday. And we’ve been learning a lot, which, you know, we’ve been sitting here, we’ve been learning a lot, and so the humor definitely helps. It breaks it up. But the content is awesome, off the charts, and it’s very interactive. You can raise your hand. It’s not like you’re just listening to the professor speak, you know. The wizard teaches, but the wizard interacts and he takes questions, so that’s awesome. If you’re not attending the conference, you’re missing about three quarters to half of your life. It’s probably worth a couple thousand dollars, so you’re missing the thought process of someone that’s already started nine profitable businesses. So not only is it a lot of good information, but just getting in the thought process of Clay Clark or Dr. Zellner or any of the other coaches, getting in the thought process of how they’re starting all these businesses, to me, just that is priceless. That’s money. Well, we’re definitely not getting upsold here. My wife and I have attended conferences where they upsold, where it was great information and then they upsold us like half the conference and I want to like bang my head into a wall and She’s like banging her head into the chair in front of her like it’s good information, but we’re like oh my gosh I want to strangle you shut up and go with the presentation that we paid for and that’s not here There’s no upsells or anything so that’s awesome. I hate that it makes me angry so glad that’s not happening So the cost of this conference is quite a bit cheaper than business college. I went to a small private liberal arts college and got a degree in business and I didn’t learn anything like they’re teaching here. I didn’t learn linear workflows. I learned stuff that I’m not using and I haven’t been using for the last nine years. So what they’re teaching here is actually way better than what I got at business school and I went what was actually ranked as a very good business school. I would definitely recommend that people would check out the Thrive 15 conference. The information that you’re going to get is just very very beneficial and the mindset that you’re going to get that you’re going to leave with is just absolutely worth the price of a little bit of money and a few days worth of your time. I’m Rachel with Tip Top K9 and we just want to give a huge thank you to Clay and Vanessa Clark. Hey guys I’m Ryan with Tip Top K9. Just want to say a big thank you to Thrive 15. Thank you to Make Your Life Epic. We love you guys. We appreciate you and really just appreciate how far you’ve taken us. This is our old house. Right? This is where we used to live two years ago. This is our old neighborhood. See? It’s nice, right? So this is my old van and our old school marketing. And this is our old team. And by team, I mean it’s me and another guy. This is our new house with our new neighborhood. This is our new van with our new marketing. And this is our new team. We went from four to 14. And I took this beautiful photo. We worked with several different business coaches in the past, and they were all about helping Ryan sell better and just teaching sales, which is awesome, but Ryan is a really great salesman, so we didn’t need that. We needed somebody to help us get everything that was in his head out into systems, into manuals and scripts, and actually build a team. So now that we have systems in place, we’ve gone from one to ten locations in only a year. In October 2016, we grossed 13 grand for the whole month. Right now it’s 2018, the month of October. It’s only the 22nd, we’ve already grossed a little over 50 grand for the whole month, and we still have time to go. We’re just thankful for you, thankful for Thrive and your mentorship, and we’re really thankful that you guys have helped us to grow a business that we run now instead of the business running us. Just thank you, thank you, thank you times a thousand. So we really just want to thank you, Clay, and thank you, Vanessa, for everything you’ve done, everything you’ve helped us with. We love you guys. Hello, my name is Charles Colaw with Colaw Fitness. Today I want to tell you a little bit about Clay Clark and how I know Clay Clark. Clay Clark has been my business coach since 2017. He’s helped us grow from two locations to now six locations. We’re planning to do seven locations in seven years and then franchise, and Clay’s done a great job of helping us navigate anything that has to do with running the business, building the systems, the checklists, the workflows, the audits, how to navigate lease agreements, how to buy property, how to work with brokers and builders. This guy is just amazing. This kind of guy has worked in every single industry. He’s written books with Lee Crockerill, head of Disney with the 40,000 cast members. He’s friends with Mike Lindell. He does Reawaken America tours where he does these tours all across the country where 10,000 or more people show up to some of these tours. On the day-to-day, he does anywhere from about 160 companies. He’s at the top. He has a team of business coaches, videographers, and graphic designers, and web developers, and they run 160 companies every single week. Think of this guy with a team of business coaches running 160 companies. In the weekly, he’s running 160 companies. Every six to eight weeks he’s doing Reawaken America tours. Every six to eight weeks he’s also doing business conferences where 200 people show up. He teaches people a 13-step proven system that he’s done and worked with billionaires helping them grow their companies. I’ve seen guys from startups go from startup to being multi-millionaires, teaching people how to get time freedom and financial freedom through the system. Critical thinking, document creation, organizing everything in their head to building into a franchisable, scalable business. One of his businesses has like 500 franchises. That’s just one of the companies or brands that he works with. So amazing guy. Elon Musk, kind of like smart guy. He kind of comes off sometimes as socially awkward, but he’s so brilliant and he’s taught me so much. When I say that, Clay is like, he doesn’t care what people think when you’re talking to him. He cares about where you’re going in your life and where he can get you to go. And that’s what I like him most about him. He’s like a good coach. A coach isn’t just making you feel good all the time, a coach is actually helping you get to the best you. And Clay has been an amazing business coach. Through the course of that we became friends. My most impressive thing was when I was shadowing him one time, we went into a business deal and listened to it. I got to shadow and listen to it. When we walked out I knew that he could make millions on the deal and they were super excited about working with him. He told me, he’s like, I’m not going to touch it, I’m going to turn it down because he knew it was going to harm the common good of people in the long run. The guy’s integrity just really wowed me. It brought tears to my eyes to see that this guy, his highest desire was to do what’s right. Anyways, just an amazing man. Anyways, impacted me a lot. He’s helped navigate. Anytime I’ve gotten nervous or worried about how to run the company or navigating competition and an economy that’s like, I remember we got closed down for three months. He helped us navigate on how to stay open, how to how to get back open, how to just survive through all the COVID shutdowns, lockdowns, because our clubs were all closed for three months and you have $350,000 of bills you’ve got to pay and we have no accounts receivable. He helped us navigate that and of course we were conservative enough that we could afford to take that on for a period of time. But he was a great man. I’m very impressed with him. So Clay, thank you for everything you’re doing. And I encourage you, if you haven’t worked with Clay, work with Clay. He’s gonna help magnify you. And there’s nobody I have ever met that has the ability to work as hard as he does. He probably sleeps four, maybe six hours a day, and literally the rest of the time he’s working and he can outwork everybody in the room every single day and and he loves it. So anyways this is Charles Kola with Kola Fitness. Thank You Clay and anybody out there that’s wanting to work with Clay it’s a great great opportunity to ever work with him. So you guys have a blessed one. This is Charles Kola. We’ll see you guys. Bye bye. Hi I’m Aaron Antis with Shaw Homes. I first heard about Clay through a mortgage lender here in town who had told me what a great job he had been doing for them and I actually noticed he was driving a Lamborghini all of a sudden so I was willing to listen. In my career I’ve sold a little over eight hundred million dollars in real estate. So honestly I thought I kind of knew everything about marketing and homes and then I met Clay and my perception of what I knew and what I could do definitely changed. After doing 800 million in sales over a 15 year career, I really thought I knew what I was doing. I’ve been managing a large team of salespeople for the last 10 years here with Shaw Homes. And I mean, we’ve been a company that’s been in business for 35 years. We’ve become one of the largest builders in the Tulsa area, and that was without Clay. So when I came to know Clay, I really thought, man, there’s not much more I need to know, but I’m willing to listen. The interesting thing is, our internet leads from our website website has actually in a four month period of time has gone from somewhere around 10 to 15 leads in a month to 180 internet leads in a month. Just from the few things that he’s shown us how to implement that I honestly probably never would have come up with on my own. So I got a lot of good things to say about the system that Clay put in place with us and it’s just been an incredible experience. I am very glad that we met and had the opportunity to work with Clay. So the interaction with the team and with Clay on a weekly basis is honestly very enlightening. One of the things that I love about Clay’s perspective on things is that he doesn’t come from my industry. He’s not somebody who’s in the home building industry. I’ve listened to all the experts in my field. Our company has paid for me to go to seminars, international builder shows, all kinds of places where I’ve had the opportunity to learn from the experts in my industry. But the thing that I found working with Clay is that he comes from such a broad spectrum of working with so many different types of businesses, that he has a perspective that’s difficult for me to gain because I get so entrenched in what I do, I’m not paying attention to what other leading industry experts are doing. And Clay really brings that perspective for me. It is very valuable time every week when I get that hour with him. From my perspective, the reason that any business owner who’s thinking about hooking up with Thrive needs to definitely consider it is because the results that we’ve gotten in a very short period of time are honestly monumental. It has really exceeded my wildest expectation of what he might be able to do. I came in skeptical because I’m very pragmatic and as I’ve gone through the process over just a few months, I’ve realized it’s probably one of the best moves we’ve ever made. I think a lot of people probably feel like they don’t need a business or marketing consultant because they maybe are a little bit prideful and like to think they know everything. I know that’s how I felt coming in. I mean, we’re a big company that’s definitely one of the largest in town. And so we kind of felt like we knew what we were doing. And I think for a lot of people, they let their ego get in the way of listening to somebody that might have a better or different perspective than theirs. I would just really encourage you, if you’re thinking about working with Clay, I mean, the thing is, it’s month to month. Go give it a try and see what happens. I think in the 35 year history of Shaw Homes, this is probably the best thing that’s happened to us. And I know if you give them a shot, I think you’ll feel the same way. I know for me, the thing I would have missed out on if I didn’t work with Clay is I would have missed out on literally an 1800% increase in our internet leads, going from 10 a month to 180 a month, that would have been a huge financial decision to just decide not to give it a shot. I would absolutely recommend Clay Clark to anybody who’s thinking about working with somebody in marketing. I would skip over anybody else you were thinking about, and I would go straight to Clay and his team. I guarantee you’re not going to regret it, because we sure haven’t. My name is Danielle Sprick, and I am the founder of D. Sprick Realty Group here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After being a stay-at-home mom for 12 years, and my three kids started school, and they were in school full time, I was at a crossroads and trying to decide, what do I want to do. My degree and my background is in education, but after being a mom and staying home and all of that, I just didn’t have a passion for it like I once did. My husband suggested real estate. He’s a home builder, so real estate and home building go hand in hand, and we just rolled with it. I love people. I love working with people, I love building relationships, but one thing that was really difficult for me was the business side of things. The processes and the advertising and marketing, I knew that I did not have what I needed to make that what it should be. So I reached out to Clay at that time, and he and his team have been extremely instrumental in helping us build our brand, help market our business, our agents, the homes that we represent. Everything that we do is a direct line from Clay and his team and all that they’ve done for us. We launched our brokerage, our real estate brokerage, eight months ago. And in that time, we’ve gone from myself and one other agent to just this week, we signed on our 16th agent. We have been blessed with the fact that we right now have just over 10 million in pending transactions. Three years ago, I never would have even imagined that I would be in this role that I’m in today, building a business, having 16 agents, but I have to give credit where credit’s due. And Clay and his team and the business coaching that they’ve offered us has been huge. It’s been instrumental in what we’re doing. Don’t ever limit your vision. When you dream big, big things happen. I started a business because I couldn’t work for anyone else. I do things my way. I do what I think is in the best interest of the patient. I don’t answer to insurance companies. I don’t answer to large corporate organizations. I answer to my patient, and that’s it. My thought when I opened my clinic was I can do this all myself. I don’t need additional outside help in many ways. I mean, I went to medical school. I can figure this out. But it was a very, very steep learning curve. Within the first six months of opening my clinic, I had a $63,000 embezzlement. I lost multiple employees. Clay helped us weather the storm of some of the things that are just a lot of people experience, especially in the medical world. He was instrumental in helping with the specific written business plan. He’s been instrumental in hiring good quality employees, using the processes that he outlines for getting in good talent, which is extremely difficult. He helped me in securing the business loans. He helped me with web development and search engine optimization. We’ve been able to really keep a steady stream of clients coming in because they found us on the web. With everything that I encountered, everything that I experienced, I quickly learned it is worth every penny to have someone in your team that can walk you through and even avoid some of the pitfalls that are almost invariable in starting your own business. I’m Dr. Chad Edwards and I own Revolution Health and Wellness Clinic. We’ve got Aaron Andrus with Shotguns up there. We’ve got Sneaker Anger, Tim, with Total Winding Concepts up there. Talking about what is possible when you just implement, when you implement, when you do the impossible. So many people are going crazy. Now Michael Levine, writer of many, many PR books. The man who represented people like Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand, George Bush, Stanley Parden, speaking to people here at our conference, talking about branding. One of the greatest branding experts alive today is here at our conference talking to entrepreneurs. We just wrapped up day one. It was incredible. We had some remarkable speakers. Michael Levine. We just finished with a lady named Jill Donovan who owns a company called rustic cuff talking about the power of the dream 100 I cannot wait to see what tomorrow holds It is day two and the energy is high. I know for most of us, myself included, if you hear that term, what is that? What does that mean? That’s too techy for me. Well, our experts are breaking it down for people so that you can clearly understand how to come up top in Google. It’s doable. It’s possible. Now we’re in the middle of a break and what we like to do is we like to give you as much tangible and relevant information from about the start of the hour for 45 minutes. Then we take approximately a 15 minute break to allow people to connect with other entrepreneurs around them, bathroom break, and also use this time to just really digest all of the good information that you’re receiving the whole time. Right behind me we’ve got Bob with his drill gun melting an ice sculpture. It is awesome. The ice sculpture represents our life, right? It’s here for a time, but we all need to have the sense of urgency to implement the things that we’re learning so that we can make the most of the time that we have. We are outside. You can see a line behind me. We’ve had entrepreneurs like Paul Hood with Hook TVA. We’ve had Jill Donovan and Michael Levine come up and just impart so much wisdom and knowledge. We’ve got an incredible giveaway for one of our TV’s. Hey there Thrive Nation. One of the things that we love most about our business conferences is that we want every entrepreneur to leave with their questions answered. So what we do is we let them put the questions up on the board here so that they can ask their specific questions and Clay will not end the conference until every question is answered. Behind us Clay Kilar is answering all the different questions that entrepreneurs have brought to the conference. He’s the CEO of the company. He’s the CEO of the company. He’s the CEO of the company. as Clay Carrargian has been answering all the different questions that entrepreneurs have brought to the conference. Whenever someone comes here and starts to hear this information, especially for the first time, it just brings about so much anticipation of wanting to actually implement the proven systems and processes. And so Clay always wants to make sure that he answers all of those questions so that they are the most set up for success to be able to go home and start implementing. If you have any questions, email us at info at Thrivetimeshow.com. We have come to the end of the 2019 Christmas Conference. It was incredible. These entrepreneurs have gotten so many tangible things that they can go and they can implement. Check us out for more information at Thrivetimeshow.com. And as we always like to do, we want to end with a boom. 3, 2, 1, boom! Once I saw what they were doing, I knew I had to get here at the conference. This is probably the best conference or seminar I’ve ever been to in over 30 years of business. You’re not bored. You’re awake, alive the whole time. It’s not pushy. They don’t try to sell you a bunch of things. I was looking to learn how to just get control of my life, my schedule, and just get in control of the business. Planning your time, breaking it all down, making time for the F6 in your life, and just really implementing it and sticking with the program. It’s really lively, they’re pretty friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. I attended a conference a couple months back, and it was really the best business conference I’ve ever attended. At the workshop, I learned a lot about time management, really prioritizing what’s the most important. The biggest takeaways are you want to take a step-by-step approach to your business. Whether it’s marketing, what are those three marketing tools that you want to use, to human resources. Some of the most successful people and successful businesses in this town, their owners were here today because they wanted to know more from Clay and I found that to be kind of fascinating. The most valuable thing that I’ve learned is diligence. That businesses don’t change overnight. It takes time and effort and you got to go through the ups and downs of getting it to where you want to go. He actually gives you the roadmap out. I was stuck, didn’t know what to do and he gave me the roadmap out step by step. We’ve set up systems in the business that make my life much easier allowing me some time freedom. Here you can ask any question you want. They guarantee it’ll be answered. This conference motivates me and also give me a lot of knowledge and tools. It’s up to you to do it. Everybody can do these things. There’s stuff that everybody knows. But if you don’t do it, nobody else can do it for you. I can see the marketing working. And it’s just an approach that makes sense. Probably the most notable thing is just the income increase that we’ve had. Everyone’s super fun and super motivating. I’ve been here before, but I’m back again because it motivates me. Your competition’s going to come eventually or try to pick up these tactics. So you better, if you don’t, somebody else will. If you decide to not attend the Thrive Time Workshop, you’re missing out on a great opportunity. The Atmosphere Place office is very lively. You can feel the energy as soon as you walk through the door, and it really got me and my team very excited. If you decide not to come, you’re missing out on an opportunity to grow your business, bottom line. Love the environment. How to grow a business using Google reviews, and then just how to optimize our name through our website also. Helpful with a lot of marketing, Marketing, search engine optimization, helping us really rank high in Google. The biggest thing I needed to learn was how to build my foundation, how to systemize everything and optimize everything, build my SEO. How to become more organized, more efficient. How to make sure the business is really there to serve me as opposed to me constantly being there for the business. Everybody. Everybody. Everybody. Everyone. Everyone. Everyone needs to attend the conference because you get an opportunity to see that it’s real.
