See how good you are in anything, you don’t have discipline, you ain’t nobody. You ain’t nothing without discipline. Because you give up on the slightest struggle without discipline. 100%. Discipline is doing what you hate to do, but do it like you love it. Ah. Doing what you hate to do, but do it like you love it. That is a great quote. And if you can do that, you can be successful in anything. You know, you normally are. The keynote to this lesson is the person who has learned to discipline himself cannot be disciplined by others. And stated conversely, the person who has not learned to discipline himself is sure to be disciplined by others. And I’m going to reach the top level of success. The first is follow the habit of taking possession of your own mind and of keeping it busy in connection with the things you desire and offer the things you do not desire. Some shows don’t need a celebrity narrator to introduce the show, but this show does. In a world filled with endless opportunities, why would two men who have built 13 multi-million dollar businesses altruistically invest five hours per day to teach you the best practice business systems and moves that you can use? Because they believe in you. And they have a lot of time on their hands. They started from the bottom, now they’re here. It’s the Thrive Time Show starring the former U.S. Small Business Administration’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Clay Clark, and the entrepreneur trapped inside an optometrist’s body, Dr. Robert Zunich. Two men, eight kids, please tell them hi. It’s the C and T, up on your radio, and now 3, 2, 1, here we go! We started from the bottom, now we’re here. We started from the bottom, and we’ll show you how to get here. Started from the bottom, now we’re here. We started from the bottom, now we’re here. We started from the bottom, now we’re here. We started from the bottom, and we’ll show you how to get here. A one could preach a wonderful sermon on that subject alone. When you stop to consider that the Creator gave you control over but one thing, that thing being your right of choice as to how you will use your mind, you must recognize that the Creator considered that to be the most important thing on earth. And it probably is because it is the only thing you need with which to determine your earthly destiny. Next, repeat the written statement of your major purpose in life at least twice daily in the form of a prayer. Now, what do you suppose is the reason for repeating it daily? The object is to fix the idea upon the subconscious mind so indelibly that the subconscious mind goes to work immediately on what you want it to do. And repetition has a powerful way of keeping the subconscious mind going in the direction that you want it to go. Incidentally, if you don’t feed the subconscious mind with a clear picture of what you want, wander off into undesirable fields and attract to you things you do not want. And next, engage in at least one act of going the extra mile each day. You not only will make friends that way, and eventually have a regular army of friends, but every time you go the extra mile, you do something beneficial for yourself. And next, discipline yourself to write out a list of all the blessings you enjoy and express a prayer of gratitude for these blessings at least once daily. I should say that that’s one of the most important things in connection with which you should discipline yourself. Because prayers of gratitude for the blessings that you already have are the ones that bring the quickest and the best results. In my early days I used to go to prayer only when I was in trouble and I needed somebody to bail me out. And often I went to prayer without any results except negative results. And later on I learned the best thing to do is to express prayers of gratitude for the blessings that I already had and when I reached that stage of self-discipline I want to tell you that my entire destiny began to change. I began to make new friends, my financial status began to change, and everything in my life was different when I expressed prayers of gratitude for the blessings I already had. And if you should be so unfortunate as to hate another person, discipline yourself to transmute this into the emotion of pity for that person and see how much better you feel. I know in the nature of things, people sometimes express emotions of hate and hatred for other people. You don’t have to love other people necessarily, but you certainly can express for them pity, pity that they don’t conduct themselves so that you can love them. You can do that. You’ll be surprised what a change in your life it will make when you get into that mental attitude. And next, discipline yourself to follow the habit of closing the door on all of your past failures and unpleasant experiences. The majority of people spend a large portion of their time in brooding over their past failures and mistakes and unpleasant circumstances. I’ve had my share of those, but if you ask me to stand up and tell what they are, I don’t think I could because I have closed the door on them so tightly. I not only have closed it, but I’ve nailed it tight so it can’t be opened. I don’t want to live in the past. I’m living in the present and the yet unborn future. It took discipline for me to learn to close the doors on my past. But I did muster up that discipline. And next, discipline yourself to develop a success consciousness presupposes that you dress yourself in the way you want to, that you conduct yourself in the sort of company that you want, that you drive the sort of an automobile that you desire, that you live in the sort of home that you desire, and that you outwardly and inwardly express a spirit of prosperity. And next, discipline yourself to select the person whom you would like most to emulate, and begin at once to think and to act as nearly like him as possible. Back in the early days, when I first took over the job of disciplining Napoleon Hill, I had a whale of a job on my hands. I had to bead him over from the ground up. And I formed my invisible counselors, as described in Think and Grow Rich, made up of all the great men whom I admired most. And I started holding evening councils with those men, as described in Think and Grow Rich. And I want to tell you that these meetings, imaginary as they were, became so real after a while that these characters whom I had chosen to become mastermind allies of me, became so real that I could see them walk in and seat themselves at the table. And I carried this on until finally it became so realistic that I discontinued it because I got to the point where I didn’t know whether I was seeing the actual people or not. And he did a wonderful thing, that made me to transfer to myself the qualities of these great men whom I most admired. I started out as a hero-worshipper. I still am a hero-worshipper, but I’m very particular about the kind of heroes I worship. And next, remember, the person who becomes master of himself cannot be mastered by others. And if you are overtaken by temporary defeat or any unpleasant experience, begin at once to search for that seed of an equivalent benefit, because it certainly is there. And while the wound of defeat is still fresh, it may be difficult for you to find that seed. For example, when my mother died at the age of nine, it would have been very difficult for me to have found the seed of unequivocal benefit in that circumstance. But the years which followed proved beyond any question of a doubt that that seed was there because the person who came to take my mother’s place, my stepmother, came into my life, changed my whole destiny, and it made it possible for me to extend myself into space throughout the civilized world. So there was actually an equivalent advantage in the death of my mother. Take your eating and sex and drinking habits in stride, but be sure they do not take you in stride. And last, if you feel you must speak ill of another, do not speak it, but write it. Write it in the sand near the water’s edge. I had to exercise discipline after I had completed the science of success philosophy, when I began to look around and found that no publisher wanted to have anything to do with publishing it. I was turned down time after time after time, and I would have had a very good alibi for quitting at that time, but I had learned the advantage of self-discipline. I knew that sometime, somewhere, somehow, some publisher would have enough imagination to recognize that any man who would put in 20 years of examining the causes of success in 500 successful men would come to the rescue of that author. I want to tell you, it took a lot of self-discipline knowing the beginning, after I’d been turned down about 20 times. in conditioning through coordination of my mind and body to endure the strain of four and five lectures a day as I am giving here. You have no idea how much discipline that takes. And you’ll be surprised when I tell you that when I finish these lectures I want to tell you I can start writing and deliver them over again with way more enthusiasm than I’m doing now because I have learned how to discipline my mind and my body to do a job. Some five or six years ago I was invited down to Jackson, Mississippi to deliver the entire philosophy in a five-day seminar for the death association. Two days before I was supposed to go, I was stricken with a mild case of influenza. And the doctor who was called in to look me over said, well, I’m going to send you to the hospital. I said, doctor, I have an engagement in Mississippi. It’s been standing for a long time. I have to go down and pull a pull a pull it. He said if you do go down to a bus You may have an engagement with the undertaker also. I Went down to Mississippi. I Know they delivered those lectures in five afternoons and evenings But in the morning, I wrote and produced a radio program and immediately after Lunch that on till three o’clock in the afternoon I interviewed these dentists one at a time at about a half an hour each and when I came waiting there There’s no sign of influenza I have been so busy tending to my job, but I have no time to fool around with influenza Surprising what you can do to self-discipline And some years ago when I was a training salesman in New York My secretary received a telephone call one day from the president of the Newark Laundry in Newark, New Jersey. And he told her that he understood I was an expert trainer of salesmen and that he had sales problems and he wanted me to come over and talk to him about training his salesmen. I had never heard of at that time that laundries had salesmen. But I learned later that all of these drivers were on their own, they had to find their own customers and they had to keep them. And something had gone wrong in his organization whereby the drivers were losing one customer after another to their opposition. Now, that was a new outlet for my services and I wanted to make sure that when I went over to New York, I would get that contract. And I’m sure you will be interested in knowing how I went about it. I went into my private office, instructed the telephone operator not to connect my phone until I came out. I sat down at my desk, put my elbows on my desk and my head in my hands like this, and I started talking to Napoleon Hill. I said, Napoleon Hill, you’re going over to New York, you’re going to talk to the president of the New York Laundry, and you’re not coming back until you make a sale. And I repeated that at least a thousand times, until I felt, I got that urge that I had made a sale. To whom? To Napoleon Hill. Then I called my sales manager, Jack Sharp, who had been helping me to train men, and I said, Jack, you’ve been hearing me talking about this business of conditioning the mind not to accept null, not to accept defeat. I’m going to take you over to New York and demonstrate just exactly how it’s done. We’re going over to see the president of the New York laundry, and we’re not coming back until we make a sale.” Now he said, just a minute, Napoleon Hill. I have a family, I have to come back. I said, I have a family, and I am coming back, but I’m not coming back until we make a sale. We went over, and it was one of the hottest August days I’ve ever seen in my life. We arrived there about a quarter of noon. I expected to see a man come out from the laundry, wiping his hands on a dirty towel, maybe, and wearing a pair of overalls, the man I had interviewed. But instead of that, I was ushered into one of the most finely appointed offices I have ever been in. And the president of the New York Laundry was a graduate of Harvard University. And he said, gentlemen, come right in. It’s a very warm day, and we’ll go over to the athletic club and have lunch in a nice, air-conditioned room. And when the lunch is over, we’ll go out into the library and we’ll talk all we please. And Jack looked at me and winked his eye, as much as to say, boss, it’s in the bag. That’s what he thought. That’s what I thought, too. We went over there, and all through the luncheon time, this man was telling me what his problems were, how they came about and so forth, and I was building plans. We went down into the library, he said, now Mr. Hill, guardian, I’m ready to listen. I went over the plan as I proposed to offer, what I expected to do for him, how I expected to do it, how long it would take me to do it, and how much it would cost him. And all the time he was shaking his head and smiling, and he was buying every word I said. I was absolutely sure of myself. And when I came up for air for a few moments, he said, Mr. Hill, I like your plan, I like your personality, I like your sales manager’s personality, but when I telephoned your office, I telephoned two other men who were engaged in the same business, and we made engagements with all three of you. You happened to get here first. The other two are coming tomorrow. I want you to know, Mr. Hill, I think you’ve got it in the bag. But I’ve got to see the other two men. Well, I looked over at Jack, and he started to get up out of his chair. He got halfway up, and I gave him such a cold look that he just fell back in his chair. If he’d have gotten on his feet at that point, I’d have fired him the moment we got out of the house, because I had already put him on notice. We were going over there to make a sale. We weren’t coming back until we made it. What I did was to ignore what this man said and went right into the second phase of my talk. I had a sales talk up my sleeve, so to speak, that I hadn’t used in my first round with him. with it. I’ve been going about three or four maybe five minutes when I slowed down a little bit and he said well now Mr. Heal I’m still with you, understand I’m still with you and I still think you’ve got the job but if you were in my place now and you had made an engagement with two other men what would you do? I said that’s just exactly what I was waiting for you to ask. What I would do would be to go back and have my secretary call those other two men and tell them that you’ve already employed the boy in the hill. He said, that’s what I want. And that’s where I got the job. We got out of his office and started back to New York and we hadn’t gone more than a block. See, I’d keep myself up on that hot day where I wasn’t perspiring any more than I am now. And this man to whom we were talking, he was so hot that his collar had sweated down until it was just a rag around his neck. And the same thing as to my sales manager, Jack. I had keyed up physically, mentally, and spiritually, not to hear anything but a yes. But as soon as I got away and began to relax, beads of perspiration almost as big as the end of your finger broke out all over me and I just flopped right down on that sidewalk and began to fan myself with my hat and My sales manager said almost knocked yourself out didn’t you Napoleon? I said listen Jack if you’d have gotten up on your feet all the way you’d have been knocked out by this time But you’d have been out of a job Now that’s an extreme Illustration you couldn’t always be as severe as that, but it gives you an idea of what you can do when you discipline yourself to do a job and make up your mind before you start it. No matter what gets in your way, nor who gets in your way, you are going to go around, over, or under, but you are going to go by. Now, where do we begin self-discipline? First of all, number one, in our failure to adopt and live by a definite purpose and a definite plan for attainment. Accepting from life that which we do not want. There is where we need to begin disciplining ourselves first. And in the neglect in taking possession of the mind, the one thing that the Creator intended that we should do. We neglect that because of self-discipline, lack of self-discipline. And in the habit of allowing oneself to drift from his surroundings and being influenced by close associates who are negative, we need to discipline ourselves there. I want to tell you that my most difficult job in the beginning part of those 20 years of research that I put into organizing the science of personal achievement was to fight off my relatives who were determined that I had made a fool of myself, and one of them suggested that I ought to go to a psychopathic ward and have my head examined. I would like to tell you who that one was, but his relationship to me was too close. And next, lack of any sort of plan or program for self-improvement. Education is a lifetime job, and it calls for constant study, reading, and self-examination, such as you who belong to this organization undoubtedly will indulge you. And in the habit of limiting oneself to insufficient self-confidence, you need self-discipline. Build yourself up. Build yourself up to where you are in the position already that you want to be in. Give yourself a title if you want to. Call yourself a statistic at the top of the heap in whatever it is you want to follow in life. Keep on telling that little white lie to yourself and your subconscious mind will eventually will pick it up and put you up there right where you want to be. When Andrew Carnegie gave me that famous formula, it seemed to me a ridiculous thing to do. You remember how I gave it to you? I want you to go before a mirror at night, just before you go to bed, and in the morning, just after you get up, look yourself straight in the face and say, Andrew Carnegie, I’m not only going to equal your achievements in life, but I’m going to challenge you at the post and pass you at the grandstand. The first time I said that, the first three or four times I said that, I felt like a fool. But you know, eventually I commenced to believe it. And after I started to believe it, then I knew I was going to do it. And modestly may I state that I have reached a place in life where my achievements far excel those of Andrew Carnegie’s. I don’t have as much money in this bank as he had. I don’t need that much. I have all I need and that’s enough, isn’t it? Next, the habit of allowing the mind to think more often of failure than it does of success, thus developing a failure consciousness. What you want in life is a success consciousness. Think in terms of success. Expect success because the things that you expect, nature has a way of accommodating. And next, in the of limiting oneself by the seven basic fears, or some minor fears due to the lack of self-discipline. I can truthfully say to you that I don’t fear anything upon the face of this earth. There were times when I feared about everything. I have no worries. Why? Because I have disciplined my mind to keep my mind swept clear of both the causes and the effects of fear and worry. It didn’t happen overnight, just accidentally. It happened because I had a system, and I’ve explained to you what that system is. It’s explained in the text on this subject again. And in failure to form an acquaintance of successful people, to emulate them through association, my 500 collaborators among the great, and I still associate only with the great, I still associate only with the great. That’s where you’re supposed to applaud. Thank you. You’re not applauding me, you’re applauding yourselves because you are truly great. The habit of taking on the mental attitude of those who are nearest you without carefully choosing your intimate associates. You know, Charlie Ward said to me, after I had visited with him for a couple of days, he said, Napoleon Hill, everything unpleasant that ever happened to me in my life was due to a wrong association with people. And I want to tell you that I believe I could say the same thing. I think most people would say the same thing. I’m very careful of my associates. I won’t have an associate that doesn’t have a good influence upon me. I won’t do it under any circumstance. Back in the early days, I had a great number of different managers who were supposed to do something to help me take this philosophy to waiting work and all they did was to do me for something for themselves I have a Orange juice squeezer, which I call my twelve thousand dollar orange juice squeezer And the reason it’s a twelve thousand dollar squeezer. It was given to me by a manager to whom I paid twelve thousand dollars For a year services and all I got was the orange juice squeezer. Every glass of orange juice that I squeezed out in my life, it cost me about five dollars a glass. And in the lack of an established routine for the maintenance of health, failure to discipline self in connection with food and drink, work and play, love and worship, and habits of thinking, and neglecting learning how to translute sex into an emotion of a constructive nature. And in failure to establish a budgeting system for the occupation of one’s time, such as eight hours for sleep, eight hours for work, four hours for self-improvement, four hours for recreation. And in failure to recognize that success is the result of definite planning, while failure is the automatic result of lack of planning purpose. You don’t have to plan failure. It’ll come around of its own accord. But you do have to plan success. And in drifting with whatever circumstances that may overtake one, instead of creating circumstances as will benefit one. And in not recognizing that one must plant the seed of service before one can reap the harvest of benefits. A lot of people expect the ship of plenty to come in when they haven’t set out in a ship. And in expecting something for nothing. That’s a very prevalent habit nowadays. A lot of people, an ever increasing army of people, throwing themselves on the government of the United States to receive relief instead of going out and earning their own wage. This country was not built upon men of that type. This country and our economy and our great system of free enterprise was built upon the type of men who were willing to take their own risk, who were willing to give a day’s work in return for a day’s pay. instead of tracing the cause to its correct source, which is in the mirror. It is strange that when a person has an unpleasant experience or a defeat or makes a mistake, he begins to look around him easily for somebody to pin it on. He looks everywhere else except in the mirror, and that generally is the place where you find it. And then quitting when the going was hard that enabled me to get from Andrew Carnegie a commission The like of which has never been given to another author at any time in the history of mankind Nobody that I have ever Learned about has ever had as much help as I’ve had in building and organizing and testing the science of personal achievement and in taking it to the people of the world at a time when we are threatened by total destruction through that cancerous thing called communism. And in failure to recognize and adapt oneself to the laws of nature. What a wonderful thing it is if you just look around and see how nature does things. And then emulate her. And the habit of criticizing things in people one does not understand. Criticism, as I pointed out in the previous lesson, can be a very constructive thing, but it can be very destructive if we criticize people and things we do not understand, and a lot of people do in just that. And in failure to properly interpret and apply the ten basic motives which are responsible for all human actions, as I described them in a previous lesson. And failures in the habit of using the tongue too freely and the eyes and ears insufficiently. Getting other people told instead of asking them useful questions. It’s an astounding thing how much time is wasted by people who want to get somebody told instead of listening to what somebody might have to say that would be beneficial. And in neglect in the expression of gratitude for one’s blessings, and in connection with intolerance with those whom one does not like. All of us by our very nature have some people who do not like. I could mention a few of my own, quite a little list. But I’m not going to. I could rather mention the list that I do like, and that’s a whole lot better past time. And in the habit of mining out of people’s business while neglecting one’s own. We need some discipline there too. And in neglecting and learning how to dramatize one’s speech so as to make it impressive. Everyone should learn to read and speak forcefully. and in failure to keep contact with friends and to cultivate them through continuous courtesy, and in failure and neglect in creating a definite technique by which to discipline oneself, such as my ten invisible guides as I’ve described them to you in a previous lesson. Those guides are not patented. There’s no copyright on them, and there’s nothing in the world to hinder any of my students from appropriating and using them. And I bid every one of you to do just that. And that’s the end of this lesson, I thank you. Ladies and gentlemen, a lot of people talk about having success, a lot of people want to have success, but there is a proven path to achieve success. About four years ago, I had the opportunity to connect with somebody by the name of Dr. Mark Sherwood. My good friend Aaron Antus swore by the results of Dr. Sherwood. My good friend, Pastor Craig Hagan, swore by the results of Dr. Sherwood. We had a chance to team up, and it’s been an honor to team up with his practice and to help him grow his medical practice. And if you’re out there today and you want to grow your business, on today’s show we’re going to talk about growing your business and what happens when you diligently implement a proven plan. And here to talk about it is Dr. Sherwood. Welcome on to the Thrive Time Show. How are you, sir? I’m doing well, Clay. Thanks for having me. And it has been an honor, hasn’t it? What a ride and what a journey it’s been. Now without getting into the specific financial numbers, you and I were talking offline, and I believe since you and I first talked on the phone to today, I believe you’re about seven times larger. Is that an accurate number? Am I getting that number wrong in some capacity? No, it’s at least seven, closer to eight. Yeah. And that’s, so many people talk about growing their business by 2% or 5% or 12%. I want to give people some real facts here. We’re going to go here to Inc. I’m going to do a search right now on Google. I want everyone to do it with me. Assume I’m making this up. Inc. Magazine reports that 96% of businesses fail. That’s according to Inc. Magazine. That’s not clayclark.com. 96%. Now if you go to usdebtclock.com, which is by the way a great way to get depressed. If you go to usdebtclock.org, you’ll see that in America today, we only have 9 million, 9.3 million self-employed people, and a country of 336 million. So just to be—if even 10% of our country was self-employed, that would be 36 million self-employed people. But we only have 9 million self-employed people. So we’re talking about—it’s like less than 3% of our population is even self-employed to begin with. And so if less than 3% of our population is self-employed and 96% of businesses fail, by default, folks, you’ve got, you know, I mean, it’s a very, very small percentage chance of being successful by default. And so what I want to focus on is implementing a proven path and a proven system. So step number one, since you and I have connected, I didn’t teach this to you, but you do it. You diligently implement a plan. Can you talk about that? Because every week, you and I, we connect every week. You know, in this case, there’s a plan that you do, and I won’t get into all the details, but you do it every single week. You do it in the gym, you do it in your business. Talk about implementing a proven routine every day. Well, I think the end of the story of a routine is it produces predictability. And so, I look at it like this, you know, good habits done consistently over time provides reliability, which gives you consistency, which gives you faithfulness, which gives you trust. Now, trust is a big deal. Does that trust mean you trust yourself? I hope so. Does it trust mean that your customers or clientele trust you? They do because it’s predictable. The thing that people can’t stand, Clay, is unpredictability or chaos or just anxiety that’s driven in businesses. So we facilitate that culture from the top down to the bottom up. And as you mentioned, every day I get up and I’m very routine. And so are you. We started working together. I remember you telling me you get up at 3 o’clock in the morning, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And I probably wake up about an hour after you, boom, boom, boom. But it’s very predictable. People know where we are, what we’re going to do, what we’re about, and it creates an expectation. And I think that, among other things, has been a key element to experiencing the 800% growth we’ve had, which is, to me, it wasn’t that hard because it’s a process that works. Now, next question I want to ask you is focus on what you need to do, but then say no to the things you don’t need to do. Again, you have to say no to grow. So yes, you’re diligent and you’re consistent, but you’re also saying no to grow. And now there are billboards, there are magazines, there are yellow pages. Yes, there are still a few yellow pages. There are billboards, there’s magazines, there’s local cable TV. There’s so many different ways that you could be marketing your business, but you’ve had to say no to grow. You’ve had to focus on, and you and your wife, you guys do books, you do documentaries, you do podcast interviews. You have a proven path, a proven trajectory that you’re on, but you do have to say no to grow. And sometimes you have to say no to good things in order to say yes to great things. Can you talk about the importance of saying no to grow? Yeah, specifically in our job, what we do, which is a kind of a wellness-based optimization of health practice, right? So the bottom line is I run everything through that filter. And our filter is, does it bring healing to the person? Does it bring betterment to the person? And there’s all kinds of procedures, gizmos, gadgets, and whatnot that I hear that we can get involved in. But I always look at it from this standpoint. It’s gotta run through that filter and it’s gotta pass the test. Is it gonna take us more time? Is it gonna take us more labor? What’s the expense of it going to be originally? And what’s it going to take for us to recoup the expense of any? And so I run into that filter every single time. And if it doesn’t hash out, it may be a good thing, but it’s not a good thing for us. And people don’t understand that. But sometimes the greatest answer is no, because it’s a no that protects you from getting hurt. And you mentioned all that advertising mess out there. Clay, we’ve been approached by, as you know, many, many people to advertise in all kinds of markets. But if you don’t know what kind of person that you’re after, what is your target demographic, then you can’t just throw spitballs out there at the different sources because you will waste your time and money. And again, in that area, advertising, no, to grow is critical. Now, the next area I want to focus on is having a linear workflow or a mapped out workflow or a written down process. So many business owners don’t have a written down process. So let me just give people an example. I’m going to go up to my website, then I’ll go to your website so people can see this. Very predictable. If people go to thrive timeshow.com, which by the way, folks, we have about five to 10 people a day that often reach out looking for help growing their company. Now, I only take on 160 clients. That’s not a spiritual number. That’s not a reason I don’t do that for any spiritual reason. It’s just, I have found that with my team, I like to not have more than 160 clients so that I can meet all my clients. And those clients, they schedule a free consultation. And in order to do that, I have a kind of a call screener that sets up an appointment. They hop on the phone, they find out if they’re a good fit for a free consultation, then my team books the free consultation for me. And because our average client is with us for six years or longer, if you do the math, we have an opening for a new client about every month or so. So if you look at TWA photos, this is one of my long-time clients based in Chicago, him, and we’re gonna hear his success story on part two of today’s show. He reached out, he filled out the form. A member of my team called Tim to see if he was a good fit. I then coached Tim on the first call, found out he’s a good fit, did my assessment, found out he’s a good fit, coached him through what we’re going to do, laid out the proven plan. True story, and you’re going to hear it on part two of today’s show. Tim went on to build a very, very successful company and he sold his business. Well, when he sold his business for a big time exit, guess what that did? That created an opening for another client. And so the process we have over and over and over, is you go to thrivetimeshow.com, you can schedule a free consultation, my call screener vets that person to see if they’re a good fit. If they are a good fit, they do an onboarding with myself. If it also, we have conference tickets, we do a conference every two months. And I’ve been doing this since 2005. So since 2005, I’ve been essentially doing the same process over and over and over. That’s why when you click on testimonials, you will literally see thousands of client success stories. Just thousands. Not 100, not 50, but thousands. So I want to see if you can walk us through, what does the workflow look like when people go to Sherwood.tv? What does that workflow look like? It’s fascinating. And again, you and I just kind of hit it off because we think the same way. So, we have an opportunity. People visit our website, and we get hundreds of visitors every day, and people can fill out a little questionnaire. It’s like a health assessment question. It’s free. And they get put through a series of funnel emails to sort of qualify what they want to do and sort of kind of vest them at the outset. But if they want to work with us, just like yourself, we have a free webinar that they can go to. At that point, after attending the webinar, Clay, they then have the opportunity at that point to schedule a one-on-one assessment intake appointment with my wife and myself. At that appointment, we determine whether or not they’re a good fit. If they’re a good fit, we develop a plan for those and execute the same plan with the same full minutes who are personalized for their lives. Much like you personalize that plan with the same general processes for that business, we personalize that plan of the same general processes for their life. Now, when people work with me, with my business, and I’m not a medical business, I have a proven process and a proven system. And so when people go and they go to thrivetimeshare.com and they look at the different success stories, we have companies like oxyfresh.com. We’ve helped them to grow now to 570 locations, 570. And I could go on just listing examples all day. We take companies like Shaw Homes, helped them grow from 15 million to $150 million of revenue. And we just have so many success stories. It truly is epic. And that’s why the my parent company is called Make Your Life Epic. That is what we do, Make Your Life Epic. Dr. Sherwood, I would say what he does is very analogous to what we do for business. He does for your body. And so, again, I believe what he does, Dr. Sherwood, Sherwood.tv, what he does for your body is very analogous to what we do for business. We guide people down a proven path. And we actually tell people before they decide to become a client, what the path is. We tell people, this is what we’re gonna do to get you from where you are to where you wanna be. Now, I know a lot of people, I would say specifically three people that I see on a weekly basis who have lost over 40 pounds since going to Sherwood.tv. So three people that I see on a weekly basis have lost over 40 pounds as a result of going to Sherwood.TV, learning about the protocols you offer, and then following those. You tell people in advance what the protocol is going to be. That’s very different from a lot of other medical programs that kind of hide the program or the protocol from the potential customer, from the potential patient. They hide it and they say, once you sign up, then we’ll teach you the protocol. Why are you so transparent with teaching people what your protocol is going to be before they become a patient? I think it produces trustworthiness, Clay, because a lot of times, with what we do, transparency is key, because my wife and I do it too. And again, I’m not knocking anybody else. I just know that what you just said is very true. It is analogous to you making someone’s company greater. I want to see their lives get greater. I want to optimize their health, give them the biological aging process of speed that’s optimal so they’re not aging too fast. And so we live it out, we do it, and then it’s no secret, man, there are some processes that work. And I tell them, you know, if you’re willing to do this, this will work. And they see us doing it every day. We don’t hide our lives and we don’t shield them. We don’t do something, tell them to do something we’re not doing ourselves. So I think it’s exactly as you said. And to your point, we deal with a lot of entrepreneurs that have worked with you and do work with you. So the interesting overlap is cool. I can think of a couple of people that we’ve worked with that also have, are your clients in their business and I’ve watched their businesses explode as their personal lives explode. So this energy there is just astounding to me as I think about that. Now, I wanna walk people through this again here, folks. Again, we’re trying to walk you through that. How is it that a doctor, a medical provider, a health facility is able to grow their revenue by eight times within a period of just a few years? How is that possible? When 96% of businesses are failing, one is you have to have a proven plan, two, you have to implement that plan each and every week, and three, you have to measure what you treasure. You just have to measure what you treasure. You have to track or it’s going to slack. And that’s true with health. And it’s true with wealth. You have to track or it’s going to slack. And so any area of our lives, you’re listening right now, you talk about your faith, your family, your finance, your fitness, your friendship, your fun, any area where we are not achieving in our optimal performance, it’s probably because we’re not measuring what we’re treasuring. It’s probably we’re not focusing on it. And again, I’m not attacking anybody out there. There’s somebody out there listening right now. You are in phenomenal physical shape, and financially you’re not in shape. There’s somebody else out there listening. You’re in great financial shape. You’re in great physical shape, but your family’s not in great shape. Somebody else out there, you say you got your family, you got your faith, you got your fitness, you got your friendship, but you’re really, really in a bad spot in another area. So whatever we measure is what we treasure. Talk about that for a second, because you have a way of helping your patients and your clients to measure what they treasure and to track. And I see people all the time coming into my office of being excited. They’ve lost four pounds. They lost six pounds. They lost nine pounds. They lost 20. They lost 21 pounds. They lost 27 pounds. They lost 30. They lost 40. And you see people gaining confidence every week as they begin to take this massive goal they have and they start to see success day after day. Talk about measuring what you treasure. Yeah, one thing I forgot to add, too, in the process, we have quarterly events. I mean, and I didn’t, you know, we have those things, too, which are kind of cool. That’s kind of a culmination of stuff that people can celebrate. But when we talk about measurables, we talk about this all the time, you know, physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, financial, the five parts of a human experience, you know. you know, and so, and I talked to them, I don’t get into heavy dealing with their debt though, but I talked to them about eliminating debt and building equity, but I use that same terminology within health. I don’t want wellness debt, I want wellness equity. So in other words, if you can’t measure it, don’t do it. I never do a test unless I know what I’m asking, what questions I’m trying to get answered, and why I’m measuring it. I don’t do that. You mentioned weight loss. We have a unique way to measure that, not just about what the scale says, but I’m measuring their body composition, Clay. I’m measuring their percent body fat. I want to know how much muscle they’ve maintained or grown and how much fat they’ve been able to lose. I want to know their visceral fat level. I want to know their blood pressure. I want to know all their scores that We’ve even got tests that can score their biological aging processes and speeds and actualities. It quantifies that into measurable components. And so, we’re actually developing right now, and I haven’t got it rolled out yet, a quotient we’re going to call the FMI age, you know, and it’s going to be a little massive thing that we’re going to put together. Because, you know, I think people are aging in a way that is probably too fast, you know, and I think we can probably age better, but to your point, I concur a thousand percent. If you can’t measure it and it’s not quantifiable, don’t do it because then it becomes a distraction. Now, I want to tap into your wisdom on this, let you kind of show off what you do a little bit here. You know, one of my wonderful clients is, it’s called Kola Fitness. Kola Fitness and Charles Kola started out doing personal training. He started out doing personal training. Now, part two of today’s show, folks, you’re going to hear his success story too. So you’re going to hear the success story of TWA Photos. You’re going to hear the success story of Kola Fitness. He started out doing personal training, and then he decided, you know what? I want to open up a gym. And then he said, you know what? I want to open up a second gym. And that’s where we met him is as he was scaling the business. And so what he does when people want to lose weight, I’ll tell you his secret. He tells them, here’s the deal. I need you to not eat wheat, no sweets and no alcohol. And people were like, what? He’s like, no wheat, no sweets, no alcohol. We’ll see you three days a week working out. And he starts that process. He starts small, no wheat, no sweets, no alcohol, three days a week working out. And over time they start to add maybe more detail to it, more supplementation, more detail, more maybe more vigorousness to it. But they start off with no wheat, no sweets, no alcohol, three days a week working out. And then they start to build on that foundation. I wanna get your, just for anybody out there that’s thinking about becoming a Sherwood.tv patient or a client, and they’re maybe concerned about what’s gonna be required of them, what sort of life changes need to be made in the lives of people that, you know, are thinking about implementing the Sherwood path? And I know there’s a lot of details, a lot of research that you do into each and every patient, but what are a couple of practical steps that every single one of your patients has to implement right away? Well, I appreciate, you know, I know Charles is one of the great people, by the way, and I concur with what he said. That’s a great start for anybody, right? So at least take that. I think for us, our advice would be simply put, if it’s real food, eat it, don’t diet. If it’s an original package, it’s fine. If you can imagine it being in that package in the Garden of Eden, it’s fine. So I tell people typically to stay away, it’s gonna sound crazy, anything the government subsidizes, don’t do it. That’s kind of what I tell them with food. People can go, oh, yeah, I get that, because the government subsidizes wheat, corn, soy, dairy, and that kind of mess. I tell them, stay away from that. Then I tell them that every day I want you to try to get somewhere between about seven hours, give or take, is probably if you can get that much. Then I tell them, every day that you don’t move is a day you’re dead. I want them to move more, sit less. The days you don’t move are the day that you are going to be in the rigor mortis. So I make sure I tell them that. And then I want them to have the last little bit, speak life over self, man. Don’t speak death over self. Because many times people can walk themselves into a process of oblivion by talking themselves into death every day saying they can’t do it. Now, for anybody out there that hasn’t worked with us, I mean, you and I have had the opportunity to work together faithfully each and every week now for years. What would you say the impact has been on your business, you know, working with us, you and I working together, for anybody out there who’s maybe thinking about working with us or becoming a client of ours? Well, without question, people need guidance today, Clay. It’s like a ship without a rudder. You represent the rudder. You can teach them how to drive, but you also shift that boat in the right direction. I would recommend people do connect with you because you will do a good job. It will be consistent. It will be predictable. And if people just copy these habits, no matter what business you’re in, you can adapt them to the business, the habits work, and you will see a good return on an investment. And it will exponentially grow. And then the last thing I’ll say with that, when you connect with Clay Clark, you need to set your bar high. He will not let you set that bar low, because he’s going to stretch you, he’s going to push you, and he’s going to get the, I’ll just say it like this, he will pull the potential out of you and get you believing again in a good way. So highly recommend it. Working with you has been an honor. It’s a true win-win. For anybody out there that’s looking for health optimization, check it out at SureWood.tv. And again, what you do is so analogous for health to what we do for wealth. And so for anybody out there, if you’re looking to optimize your health, check out SureWood.tv. SureWood.tv. Dr. SureWood, thank you so much. And again, for anybody out there that doesn’t know the story here, which should be everybody, you and I were just talking offline the other day, and you were saying, hey, Clay, I just wanted you to know, since you and I first connected, we’re up eight times. And I just thought, well, man, there’s so much discouragement in the world we live in. We need to document this and get this on camera. So thank you for keeping us updated, sir. And I can’t wait to have you on the show next week. You’re welcome. Thanks for having me, as always. Take care. Bye-bye. Well, Thrive Nation, we are the Thrive Time Show. What we do is we help businesses grow their business owners to grow their businesses. The purpose is to create time freedom and financial freedom. And we’ve had a longtime client that we’ve worked with. And this is sort of like our exit interview, because he’s actually exited the business. And so he’s at the other end of the rainbow or he got to the top of the mountain or he hit it or he hit his big goal. And I’m honored to call him a friend and a longtime client. Tim Whaley, welcome on to the Thrive Time Show. How are you, sir? I’m doing outstanding, Clay. Thank you for having me on. Can you tell everybody, how did you first hear about what we do in terms of business coaching? I first heard of you through your podcast, actually. So I started listening, was very intrigued. Actually, you had built and sold businesses in the industry that I was in, so it seemed like a natural fit to inquire about coaching. Yeah. And, you know, once we connected and you did your, I’m not sure if it was an onboarding interview or it was more of a, you were going to determine whether or not we were a good fit. I think that was it. But once we did that, I was hooked and was really hoping that you would take me on as a client, which you did. Now, before I met you, I mean, you’d been in business for a long time and one would say you’re probably the dominant resource or one of the top providers in your industry before we even met. Could you tell the listeners how implementing the Dream 100 system impacted your business growth? Oh my gosh. So within just a few short years, it doubled our revenue, plain and simple. So Dream 100 was by far the secret sauce for our success and really the reason why I was able to exit my business ahead of schedule. So, just a brilliant program, makes total sense. As a company, it’s one of the few marketing slash advertising outlets that you have total control over. It’s not like you’re on Facebook, which owns Facebook, or Google, which owns Google. But, I mean, you own the system. You make it work, and great things happen. Now with the Dream 100 you have to identify the vendors that you want to refer you or the prospects that you want to refer you. You have to identify the ideal and likely buyers that you want to refer you and then you have to reach out to them consistently. And you guys have done a phenomenal job at doing that. What were a couple of the challenges of persistently reaching out to people to get them to refer you guys a business? Well a couple things. One, you just really have to find the right fit. You have to find the right employee or employees. Because really, when you’re going out there, you need somebody who’s obviously great at building relationships. And that’s a lot of different people. But what I found is you also just need a hunter killer. So it’s not necessarily somebody who’s very personable and great with people, but somebody with those qualities, but also just has a, like I said, a hunter killer, just wants to, has a drive to bring business in. And you find that person and they just make it happen. And we were fortunate enough to find a couple great employees who were just very good at that. And now that you have sold the business, you’re going to stay on as an advisor to make sure that the brand is successful and that sort of thing. What does it feel like to be on the other side of the rainbow or to be at the top of the mountain or to be on the other side of selling a business that you started so many years ago? Well, Clay, it’s only been six weeks. So obviously, some mixed feelings there. But if I had to put it in one word, I would have to say freedom. Okay. Yeah. So, it feels pretty darn good. And my wife and I are very excited. And obviously, we’re still helping the new ownership transition and whatnot. So, there’s stuff we’re doing and stuff to be done. But overall, it’s, you know, when you’ve been hitting it hard for 33 years, and then all of a sudden you don’t have to, it feels pretty darn good, not gonna lie. Now Robert Kiyosaki, you know, the best-selling author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, I recently interviewed him and he had me on his show and it’s been kind of fun to connect with this guy who wrote the Rich Dad Poor Dad series and it’s just fun to connect with him and he’s been talking borderline obsessively on his show recently about it’s not what people say, it’s what they do. You need to watch what people do, not what they say. And I think a big thing about having a business coach or a personal trainer if you’re into fitness, is if you’re into fitness, you need to have a nutritional plan, you need to have a workout plan, and then you need someone to hold you accountable. And if you’re a business owner, you need to have a business plan, you need to have weekly actions that you need to implement, and then you need to have some accountability. How has having a business consultant or a coach to guide you down the path, how has that impacted you? Tremendously. So there’s a running joke between my wife and I. I will often say I’m the most consistently inconsistent person you want to meet. So, historically, I’ve been the guy who starts this, goes for a little while, and then, you know, sees a, you know, I’m like a squirrel, right? I see the next great thing, and I’ll go after that for a while, and so I’m an artist, right? I’m a photographer first, and, you know, business guy second, I guess. So you have helped corral my artist brain, and having, you know, the weekly accountability calls and the action plan has definitely helped me stay focused on what needs to be focused on. So yeah, it’s been life changing. Nothing short of life changing. Now I want to pull up something real quick and get your thoughts on this, because you and I have worked together, I think for about, what, three years? Or is it, how long did we work together there before you exited the business, do you know? We started in 2019. So 2019, okay. So we’ve worked together for quite a while there. And so 2019, wow, so that’s almost five years, four and a half years or so. But if we do a search for carpet cleaning quotes, I’ve worked with one particular brand for 14 years, I think almost 15 now, and they have 271,000 Google reviews. So for 14 consecutive years, I’ve been talking to the same ownership about you have to gather objective Google reviews from your ideal and likely buyers. You have to get reviews. After you clean the carpet, you have to gather video reviews and Google reviews. And we talk about it every week. And it’s just like it’s like bamboo. I keep coming back every week. I just you can’t kill it. I come back every week talking about the reviews. And in a world now where people go online to look stuff up, this has been a powerful tool for Oxifresh.com. It’s grown from a handful of locations now to 500 plus locations. How has gathering objective Google reviews and video reviews impacted your sales process? Well, I feel like it’s a one-two punch, Clay. So Dream 100 and the reviews work hand in hand. So the majority of our business comes from the Dream 100, but that’s one referral source. So our couples will be referred by venues, but they wanna check us out. So they’re gonna go online and look for our reviews. So not only do you have to have a ton of reviews, but you have to have a ton of five-star reviews. The referrals plus the social proof on Google brings them in. Final questions I have for you, then I’ll be done harassing you here, is you now have got all the systems, the scripts, the website, the ads that work, the Dream 100 system going. To give people some clarity, you now have a turnkey marketing system in place. I mean, you have a Dream 100 system that works. You now have an online advertising program that works. You now have a sales process that works. It’s all documented. It’s all systemized for the new owner. So what would you say for anybody out there that is maybe thinking about coming to one of our in-person workshops or scheduling a free 13-point assessment with myself or a member of our team? What would you say to somebody who’s kind of on the fence about maybe coming to a workshop or scheduling a free 13-point assessment? Get off this fence. Just get off the fence, bottom line. You know, you’ve helped make my company sellable, right? So those systems is exactly what made our company attractive to the buyer. They were looking for a company that was highly successful, And so, I would never, I would not hesitate. I’ve told anybody who’s ever, you know, asked me about my coaching relationship with you and your organization, I said, I wouldn’t hesitate. Never in a million years. You have literally changed my life. You have changed my life. You have changed my life. And I’m so grateful for that. I’m so grateful for that. And I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of that. I wouldn’t hesitate, never in a million years. You have literally changed my life as a result of what you’ve taught me. You know, you have got to come to Tulsa one of these days here. So I know you guys are going to enjoy your retirement or whatever it is you’re doing. But at some point, if you ever get the bug and you ever start a new thing or you ever are in the Tulsa area, I really want to see you guys. You have my cell phone number. We can talk whenever. been an honor working with you and it’s been so exciting to help you hit your goals. And I know you’ve worked 30 plus years to go on this dream vacation lifestyle that you’ve built. What would you say to anybody out there that has a business and they feel, my final question for you, they feel overwhelmed by all the systems they have to build and they’re not at the top of the mountain. They haven’t sold the business yet. It isn’t systemized and all they see is perpetual chaos. What would you say to that person? Just take the next step, right? Every journey begins with the next step and that next step should definitely be contacting you guys. If they just do that, the rest will take care of itself. You make sure of that, so. Tim, it’s an honor serving you again. I appreciate you very much and don’t be a stranger there, sir. You got it, thank you. Take care, Chief, bye. Yep, bye. Whoa! there sir. You got it. Thank you. Take care Chief. Bye. We’ve got people playing the drums. We’ve got a fire breather. And man, people are so excited as they come in. Gentlemen, let me introduce you to the grill gun. I’ve been hosting business conferences since 2005. And a lot of people, you know, have followed Tim Tebow’s football career on the field and off the field. And off the field, the guy’s been just as successful as he has been on the field. Now, the big question is, JT, how does he do it? Well, they’re gonna have to come and find out because I don’t know. Well, I’m just saying, Tim Tebow’s gonna teach us how he organizes his day, how he organizes his life, how he’s proactive with his faith, his family, his finances. He’s going to walk us through his mindset that he brings into the gym, into business. It is going to be a blasty blast in Tulsa, Russia. Also this is the first Thrive Time Show event that we’ve had where we’re going to have a man who has built a $100 million net worth. Wow. Who will be presenting. Now we’ve had a couple of presenters that have had a billion dollar net worth in some like a real estate sort of things. But this is the first time we’ve had a guy who’s built a service business and he’s built over a hundred million dollar net worth in the service business. It’s the yacht driving, multi-state living guru of franchising. Peter Taunton will be in the house. This is the founder of Snap Fitness, the guy behind nine round boxing he’s gonna be here in Tulsa, Russell Tulsa, Russell, Oklahoma June 27th and 28th JT why should everybody want to hear what Peter Taunton has to say Oh, because he’s incredible he’s just a fountain of knowledge he is awesome he’s inspired me listening to him talk and not only that he also has he practices what he teaches so he’s a real teacher he’s not a fake teacher like business school teachers so you gotta come learn from him. The way I do our conferences is we tell people it’s $250 to get a ticket or whatever price that you can afford. And the reason why I do that is I grew up without money. JT, you’re in the process of building a super successful company. Did you start out with a million dollars in the bank account? No, I did not. Nope, did not get any loans, nothing like that. Did not get an inheritance from parents or anything like that. I had to work for it. And I am super grateful I came to a business conference. That’s actually how I met you, met Peter Taunton. I met all these people. So if you’re out there today and you want to come to our workshop, again, you just got to go to thrivetimeshow.com. You might say, well, when’s it going to be? This is what it looks like. This is where you’re headed. It’s going to be a blasty blast. You can look inside, see the facility. We’re going to have hundreds of entrepreneurs here. Thrive Time Show two day interactive business workshops are the world’s highest rated and most reviewed business workshops because we teach you what you need to know to grow. You can learn the proven 13-point business system that Dr. Zellner and I have used over and over to start and grow successful companies. When we get into the specifics, the specific steps on what you need to do to optimize your website, we’re going to teach you how to fix your conversion rate. We’re going to teach you how to do a social media marketing campaign that works. How do you raise capital? How do you get a small business loan? We teach you everything you need to know here during a two day, 15 hour workshop. It’s all here for you. You work every day in your business, but for two days you can escape and work on your business and build these proven systems, so now you can have a successful company that will produce both the time freedom and the financial freedom that you deserve. You’re going to leave energized, motivated, but you’re also going to leave empowered. The reason why I built these workshops is because as an entrepreneur, I always wish that I had this. And because there wasn’t anything like this, I would go to these motivational seminars, no money down, real estate, Ponzi scheme, get motivated seminars, and they would never teach me anything. It was like you went there and you paid for the big chocolate Easter Bunny, but inside of it, it was a hollow nothingness. And I wanted the knowledge, and they’re like, oh, but we’ll teach you the knowledge after our next workshop. And the great thing is we have nothing to upsell. At every workshop, we teach you what you need to know. There’s no one in the back of the room trying to sell you some next big get-rich-quick, walk-on-hot-coals product. It’s literally we teach you the brass tacks, the specific stuff that you need to know to learn how to start and grow a business. I encourage you to not believe what I’m saying, and I want you to Google the Z66 auto auction. I want you to Google elephant in the room. Look at Robert Zellner and Associates. Look them up and say, are they successful because they’re geniuses, or are they successful because they have a proven system? When you do that research, you will discover that the same systems that we use in our own business can be used in your business. Come to Tulsa, book a ticket, and I guarantee you it’s going to be the best business workshop ever and we’re going to give you your money back if you don’t love it. We’ve built this facility for you and we’re excited to see it. And now you may be thinking what does it actually cost to attend an in-person two-day interactive Thrive Time Show Business Workshop. Well, good news, the tickets are $250 or whatever price that you can afford. What? Yes, they’re $250 or whatever price you can afford. I grew up without money and I know what it’s like to live without money. So if you’re out there today and you want to attend our in-person two-day interactive business workshop, all you got to do is go to thrivetimeshow.com to request those tickets. And if you can’t afford $250, we have scholarship pricing available to make it affordable for you. I learned at the Academy in Kings Point in New York. Octa nonverba. Watch what a person does not what they say. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Harvard Keosak University Radio Show today. I’m broadcasting from Phoenix, Arizona, not Scottsdale, Arizona. They’re close, but they’re completely different worlds. And I have a special guest today. Definition of intelligence is if you agree with me, you’re intelligent. And so this gentleman is very intelligent. I’ve done his show before also, but very seldom do you find somebody who lines up on all counts. And so Mr. Clay Clark is a friend of a good friend, Eric, Eric Trump, but we’re also talking about money bricks and how screwed up the world can get in a few and a half hour so clay Clark is a very Intelligent man, and there’s so many ways we could take this thing But I thought since you and Eric are close Trump What were you saying about what Trump can’t what Donald who’s my age and I can say or cannot say. Well, first of all, I have to honor you, sir. I want to show you what I did to one of your books here. There’s a guy named Jeremy Thorn, who was my boss at the time. I was 19 years old, working at Faith Highway. I had a job at Applebee’s, Target, and DirecTV. And he said, have you read this book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad? And I said, no. And my father, may he rest in peace, he didn’t know these financial principles. So I started reading all of your books and really devouring your books. And I went from being an employee to self-employed to the business owner, to the investor. And I owe a lot of that to you. And I just wanted to take a moment to tell you, thank you so much for allowing me to achieve success. And I’ll tell you all about Eric Trump. I just want to tell you, thank you, sir, for changing my life. Well, not only that, Clay, you know, thank you, but you’ve become an influencer. You know, more than anything else, you’ve evolved into an influencer where your word has more and more power. So that’s why I congratulate you on becoming. Because as you know, there’s a lot of fake influencers out there, or bad influencers. Yeah. Anyway, I’m glad you and I agree so much, and thanks for reading my books. Yeah. That’s the greatest thrill for me today. Not a thrill, but recognition is when people, young men especially, come up and say, I read your book, changed my life, I’m doing this, I’m doing this, I’m doing this. I learned at the academy, King’s Point in New York, acta non verba. Watch what a person does, not what they say. Hey, I’m Ryan Wimpey. I’m originally from Tulsa, born and raised here. I went to a small private liberal arts college and got a degree in business and I didn’t learn anything like they’re teaching here. I didn’t learn linear workflows. I learned stuff that I’m not using and I haven’t been using for the last nine years. So what they’re teaching here is actually way better than what I got at business school and I went what was actually ranked as a very good business school. The linear workflow, the linear workflow for us and getting everything out on paper and documented is really important. We have workflows that are kind of all over the place, so having linear workflow and seeing that mapped out on multiple different boards is pretty awesome. That’s really helpful for me. The atmosphere here is awesome. I definitely just stared at the walls figuring out how to make my facility look like this place. This place rocks. It’s invigorating. The walls are super, it’s just very cool. The atmosphere is cool, the people are nice, it’s a pretty cool place to be. Very good learning atmosphere. I literally want to model it and steal everything that’s here at this facility and basically create it just on our business side. Once I saw what they were doing, I knew I had to get here at the conference. This is probably the best conference or seminar I’ve ever been to in over 30 years of business. You’re not bored. You’re awake, alive the whole time. It’s not pushy. They don’t try to sell you a bunch of things. I was looking to learn how to just get control of my life, my schedule, and just get control of the business. Planning your time, breaking it all down, making time for the F6 in your life, and just really implementing it and sticking with the program. It’s really lively, they’re pretty friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. I attended a conference a couple months back, and it was really the best business conference I’ve ever attended. At the workshop, I learned a lot about time management, really prioritizing what’s the most important. The biggest takeaways are, you know, you want to take a step-by-step approach to your business. Whether it’s marketing, you know, what are those three marketing tools that you want to use, to human resources. Some of the most successful people and successful businesses in this town, their owners were here today because they wanted to know more from Clay, and I found that to be kind of fascinating. The most valuable thing that I’ve learned is diligence, that businesses don’t change overnight. It takes time and effort, and you’ve got to go through the ups and downs of getting it to where you want to go. He actually gives you the road map out. I was stuck, didn’t know what to do, and he gave me the road map out step by step. He’s set up systems in the business that make my life much easier, allow me some time freedom. Here you can ask any question you want, they guarantee it’ll be answered. This conference motivates me and also gives me a lot of knowledge and tools. It’s up to you to do it. Everybody can do these things. There’s stuff that everybody knows, but if you don’t do it, nobody else is going to do it for you. I can see the marketing working. It’s just an approach that makes sense. Probably the most notable thing is just the income increase that we’ve had. Everyone’s super fun and super motivating. I’ve been here before, but I’m back again because it motivated me. Your competition is going to come eventually or try to pick up these tactics. So you better, if you don’t, somebody else will. I’m Rachel with Tip Top K9 and we just want to give a huge thank you to Clay and Vanessa Clark. Hey guys, I’m Ryan with Tip Top K9. Just want to say a big thank you to Thrive 15. Thank you to Make Your Life Epic. We love you guys, we appreciate you and really just appreciate how far you’ve taken us. This is our old house. Right, this is where we used to live a few years ago. This is our old neighborhood. See? This is nice, right? So this is my old van and our old school marketing. And this is our old team. And by team I mean it’s me and another guy. This is our new house with our new neighborhood. This is our new van with our new marketing, and this is our new team. We went from four to fourteen, and I took this beautiful photo. We worked with several different business coaches in the past, and they were all about helping Ryan sell better and just teaching sales, which is awesome, but Ryan is a really great salesman, so we didn’t need that. We needed somebody to help us get everything that was in his head out into systems, into manuals and scripts, and actually build a team. So now that we have systems in place, we’ve gone from one to ten locations in only a year. In October 2016, we grossed 13 grand for the whole month. Right now it’s 2018, the month of October. It’s only the 22nd. We’ve already grossed a little over 50 grand for the whole month and we still have time to go. We’re just thankful for you, thankful for Thrive and your mentorship and we’re really thankful that you guys have helped us to grow a business that we run now instead of the business running us. Just thank you, thank you, thank you, times a thousand. So we really just wanna thank you, Clay, and thank you, Vanessa, for everything you’ve done, everything you’ve helped us with. We love you guys. If you decide to not attend the ThriveCon workshop, you’re missing out on a great opportunity. The Atmosphere Play’s office is very lively. You can feel the energy as soon as you walk through the door. And it really got me and my team very excited. If you decide not to come, you’re missing out on an opportunity to grow your business, bottom line. Love the environment. I love the way that Clay presents and teaches. It’s a way that not only allows me to comprehend what’s going on, but he explains it in a way to where it just makes sense. The SEO optimization, branding, marketing, I’ve learned more in the last two days than I have the entire four years of college. The most valuable thing that I’ve learned, marketing is key, marketing is everything. Making sure that you’re branded accurately and clearly. How to grow a business using Google reviews and then just how to optimize our name through our website also. Helpful with a lot of marketing, search engine optimization, helping us really rank high in Google. The biggest thing I needed to learn was how to build my foundation, how to systemize everything and optimize everything, build my SEO. How to become more organized, more efficient. How to make sure the business is really there to serve me, as opposed to me constantly being there for the business. New ways of advertising my business as well as recruiting new employees. Group interviews, number one. Before we felt like we were held hostage by our employees. Group interviews has completely eliminated that because you’re able to really find the people that would really be the best fit. Hands on how to hire people, how to deal with human resources, a lot about marketing, and overall just how to structure the business, how it works for me and also then how that can translate into working better for my clients. The most valuable thing I’ve learned here is time management. I like the one hour of doing your business is real critical if I’m going to grow and change. Play really teaches you how to navigate through those things and not only find freedom, but find your purpose in your business and find the purposes for all those other people that directly affect the business as well. Everybody. Everybody. Everyone needs to attend the conference because you get an opportunity to see that it’s real. Hey Flyover family, come join us June the 27th and 28th, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Do you want to make more sales? Do you want to own your own business? Do you want to have breakthroughs financially? The key to that is knowledge. Clay Clark is anointed to help people in business. We’ve watched him over the last couple of years, and we’ve been blown away. He is part owner of over 160 businesses, $2.4 billion in sales. Before politics and the great reset came into Clay’s life, he had the number one rated Apple podcast. And he interviewed people like Anthony Robbins, Seth Godin, the top authors, top business minds in the world. At this specific event, there was an interesting cast of characters that come from gangs to American Idol. Some of the guests that are going to be there, Michael Levine, Colton Dixon, Peter Tompkins, John Lee Dumas, Mondo De La Viga. And Tim Tebow. They’re there to share what they’ve done and their breakthroughs and what their story is. And then Clay lays his map of business success, calls the path for every person to follow. People are starting to show up for the conference and it is hot in this place. We’ve got grill guns over here, we’ve got people playing the drums, we’ve got a fire breather. And man, people are so excited as they come in. Conference kicked off. This house is packed. We’ve got Aaron and his machine up there. We’ve got Sneaker, Eric, Tim, and Joe with the concepts up there talking about what is possible when you just implement, when you implement, when you do the talks. So exciting. People are going crazy. I’m Michael Levine, writer of many many PR books, a man who represents people like Michael Jackson, Barbara Streisand, George Bush, Stanley Parkin, speaking to people here at our conference talking about branding. One of the greatest branding experts alive today is here at our conference talking to entrepreneurs. We just wrapped up day one. It was incredible. We had some, some remarkable speakers, Michael Levine. We just finished with a lady named Jill Donovan, who owns a company called Rustic Cuff talking about the power of the Dream 100. I cannot wait to see what tomorrow holds. I have no social media followers. I’m through. That’s why you can’t make it. I’m over it. Hey, guys. Luke Erickson with the Strivetime Show here with you. It is day two, and the energy is high. People are so excited to be showing up. The team is ready. Come on. Let’s see what it’s like to go on in for day two. Follow me. Woo! Woo! Woo! I’ll tell you what. People are so excited to be here for day two. It is going to be incredible. Cannot wait to see what today has in store. Right now, here at the conference, we’ve broken into groups going over search engine optimization. I know for most of us, myself included, if you hear that term, you go, what is that? What does that mean? That’s too techy for me. Well, our experts are breaking it down for people so that you can clearly understand how to come up top in Google. It’s doable. It’s possible. Now we’re in the middle of a break. And what we like to do is we like to give you as much tangible and relevant information from about the start of the hour for 45 minutes. Then we take approximately a 15-minute break to allow people to connect with other entrepreneurs around them, bathroom break, and also use this time to just really digest all of the good information that you’re receiving the whole time. Right behind me we’ve got Bob with his drill gun melting an ice sculpture. It is awesome. The ice sculpture represents our life, right? It’s here for a time, but we all need to have the sense of urgency to implement the things that we’re learning so that we can make the most of the time that we have. We are outside, you can see a line behind me. What’s going on is that we partner with different companies to help them implement the proven systems over and over and over again. And one of those companies is Master Machine. And so what we like to do is partner with these companies to also help them give samples to other people as they come to the conference and truly get their name out. I just wanted to recap some of the amazing things that have happened today. We’ve had entrepreneurs like Paul Hood, the Cook team, we’ve had Jill Donovan and Michael Levine come up. It just imparts so much wisdom and knowledge. We’ve got an incredible giveaway for one of our teamies. Hey there Thrive Nation. One of the things that we love most about our business conferences is that we want every entrepreneur to leave with their questions answered. So what we do is we let them put the questions up on the board here so that they can ask their specific questions and Clay will not end the conference until every question is answered. It’s Clay Kilar, he’s answering all the different questions that on-camera brought to the conference. Whenever someone comes here and starts to hear this information, especially for the first time, it just brings about so much anticipation of wanting to actually implement the proven systems and processes. And so the lay always wants to make sure that they answer all of their questions so that they are the most set up to be able to go home and start implementing. If you have any questions, email us at inco at thrive timeshare.com. Hello, I’m Wes Carter. I’m one of the shareholders at Winters and Keen. My favorite thing that Thrive has helped me accomplish here in our firm is thinking a little bit outside the box. They do SEO, they do printing, they help us with a lot of things from the day to day marketing for the firm, but they also help us think of things that as attorneys we probably wouldn’t normally think of to help us market our services to our clients. One of the things I love about working with Thrive is that they make it enjoyable to actually do work with them. It’s not dry, it’s usually fun, but it’s always very enjoyable and practical. They give me things and ideas that I can put into place. It’s not just some theoretical spiel that they give me. We get practical steps that we work on together to do my job better. So me personally, I would easily recommend Thrive 15 services to my friends, my families. I recommend them to my clients. I think they do a good job. They’re passionate. They care about their clients. And I think it’s actually a valuable service they provide to people that are in the business world. My name is Jeff Thomas. I’m originally from Atlanta, Georgia. It’s all about getting to the grindstone. It is about putting the… It’s one thing to have a specific vision or a dream, but knowledge without application isn’t knowledge at all. That’s nothing. It’s really funny. The atmosphere is very lively. Everybody that is working for Clay is very upbeat and not tired, not sluggish, not complaining, not whining. They don’t have anything to do with those types of characteristics. It’s all about getting to the grind and having fun while you do it. I haven’t actually been to any conferences in the past. But what I will say from what I’ve seen on YouTube and what from other friends have told me is this isn’t like a motivational kind of thing to just, you know, hoo-hoo, rah-rah, it gets you motivated. But it’s like practical steps that if you do take them, which most people aren’t willing to do, then you will grow and you will achieve the specific things that you want. Well, for one thing, I will say that this isn’t necessarily for everyone. So if you’re not willing to work, this isn’t for you. But I will say that if you are willing to work and you know you’re just getting started, but you have actually taken a step in that direction, then this will actually help you grow further exponentially than you could ever imagine. My name is Taylor Hall. I’m the general manager of the Tulsa Oilers professional hockey team. You know, our goal every night here at the BOK Center is to try to fill the seats with lots of people and create an exciting environment so when somebody comes to a game they want to come back. Working with Clay and the staff at Thrive, they’ve really helped us in many, many ways. Website and graphic design and video production, a lot of things that go along, and a lot of businesses, including ours, doesn’t have a staff or a full-time videographer or graphic designer. But the biggest thing that we noticed was the needle mover. More sales, more attendance, more successes in business. We had a record year last season working with Clay for the first time. Our average attendance is higher than it’s ever been. So there’s a lot of really cool things that we did and they worked. That’s the nice thing about working with Clay and the team over there. It’s just not one person, you get the entire team. If you need video design and editing and production, they’ve got that. If you need graphic design, if you need some coaching, your sales people and call scripts, PR, they offer all that. Clay was instrumental in helping guiding us and getting us on the right track so that we could really raise the bar and become ultra successful. So it’s been an amazing experience for me. My name is Kaitlyn. I own a tumbling sim called Justice Tumbling Company. Working with Clay is so helpful. He’s diligent with everything and making sure we execute our goals and really make things happen. It’s fun and it’s high. It really gets you energized and going and it makes you really want to work. to get the momentum going, to really just like get that buzz, to really give you the energy to get up and make it happen. I’m Bob Healy. I’m in the charcoal grilling industry, and the name of my business is Grillblazer. How will I apply what I’ve learned so far into my business? I’m actually a client that has a sub-priority team, and I learn so much from what I’m learning at this conference and my regular weekly attendance that it’s helping me establish the business and get it off the ground. Clay’s presentation style is just blatant disregard for what anybody wants. He just has fun. It’s him. Everything that you see is authentically Clay. It’s a great deal of fun. Everybody enjoys it. They know when you walk in, they think they’re coming into a carnival, and frankly they are. It’s just great fun. There’s not another conference like it. You just don’t go to a carnival atmosphere and learn what they do here at a drive-thru. It’s great. The reason people should attend at least one of these conferences is because it’s common sense. And everybody’s said an entire line about the way you should run a business, but until you actually experience running a business, which is, candidly, what you learn here, how to run a business. You don’t know what you’re doing. My name is Tyler Hastings, and this is my wife, Rachel. And our company is Delricks Research, out of New Orleans. During our time working with Thrive, we’ve had numerous successes. When we first started, we were working with one physician, we had one research site, and we were seeing, on average, you know, between 10 and 15 patients a week. Since working with Thrive in the last 18 months, we now have four research sites, we work with over five physicians, and on average we’re now seeing over 60 patients per week. Recently we’ve been the top enroller worldwide in seven studies, which is just incredible considering where we were, you know, two years ago, 18 months ago. Thrive really differs from the other conferences that we’ve been to and the other kind of programs that we’ve been through because they actually really practice what they preach. And they implement the same systems and the processes that they teach you about. And they give you real life examples that really work for them and show you with the training how to implement that yourself. For example, Tyler and I actually got the opportunity to come out to Tulsa and we’re fortunate enough that the Thrive team took us out to some of the businesses that they own and we really got to see in real life, real time, some of the systems and processes and it was just incredible. A real life example of some of the businesses and the things that they’re implementing. Having a coach is important to us. They act as not only an accountability factor, but they’re someone we can talk to on a daily basis as we go through the problems of running a business that inevitably come up. They always understand what we’re going through and they’re always there to help us or guide us through the problems that we experience. The best part of our experience working with Thrive has just been seeing our relationship grow. So at each step as our business grows, you know, they have something else to provide us with. They’ve got the resources, whether it be marketing, graphic design, website development, or even in accounting practices, maybe we need a new insurance policy. If they have someone they can connect us with, or, you know, they have the direct resource we need to speak with for any of the problems we face. If someone’s thinking about signing up for the coaching program, I would highly recommend that they call in for a free 30-minute coaching coaching session And see exactly what the team can do for you to speak with someone I’ll let them know what you’re going through and I think you’ll find that you know regardless of what you need There’s someone that can help you Clay’s presentation style it’s very real and raw like it just gets real down to the bone of it and the real Purpose of it. There’s no like fluffy vagueness About it, you know So he really gets to the point. I’m always reminded about how important it is to be intentional and to really Really pay attention to how you schedule your time and really honor it Because whatever gets scheduled gets done. That’s what he said from the Lee Copperill himself Just constantly hearing that and getting reminded Helps me to reinforce that in my own life. It always helps to get an outside perspective and especially from a guy that’s Doesn’t hurt My name is Nick Guajardo. I heard about the Thrive Time Show workshop through Andy Mathren. He is my, Andy Mathren and Larry Montgomery, they’re my bosses at Restore Home Health. So I work with a home health company called Restore Home Health. And my role is pretty much to bring in business. So I was hoping to learn kind of the sales process on top of just kind of the responsibilities and help understand what it looks like on the SEO side and just kind of an all-around what it looks like to own a business because that’s something I want to do in the future for sure. How I would describe the atmosphere here at Thrive is high great professionalism, great people. It’s just a place you definitely want to visit and yeah. Plays delivery style, humorous, professional, hilarious. Just he does it, I haven’t seen someone do it better. So he does a great job. Most valuable thing I’ve learned so far? A lot of it has been extremely valuable. So, but one thing that’s always really stuck out to me is learning the SEO stuff. I mean, that is, I think, things you don’t really even think about, and then you hear it, and you think you know it, but you don’t know it. So I feel like that was the most valuable. Well, they’re missing out on just coming down to just basic applications to be a business owner. I mean, I feel like it’s like an absolute necessity, you know, to come here and learn the ins and outs and maybe come here once or twice if they, you know, take good notes, that kind of thing. Why? So just, it’s the experience here and what you can learn, like absolutely. So marketing and SEO seemed like something that would be very scary, but then in the way that Clay and his team described it, became very clear and concise, and something that’s very accessible to any business owner. I’ve learned a lot about marketing at this conference, and a lot about business management and HR, really everything, the key components of anybody’s business, they’re going to give you the best tools to be successful in. So most workshops or conferences can be really boring, really one note, or they just seem so theatrical that it’s a joke, and it’s not even giving you the tools that you need or that you came there for. But here, it’s still high energy, it’s still fun, everything’s to the point, but it’s very professional. And, yeah, you’re missing out on easy steps to use in your business that are very accessible and very clear. My name is Abigail McCarter. The best thing I’ve learned so far is definitely organization, schedule-wise, always keeping a to-do list, keeping your calendar organized. I’m kind of all over the place, so that’s always good to know. So Clave’s presentation style and the atmosphere is electric. It’s so energetic. It’s so fun. Clave’s hilarious, but also knows a ton. So it’s just really great all around. This conference is much different than any other conference I’ve gone to. Again, because it’s fun. A lot of other conferences, it’s really quiet, really cold, and you just kind of get bored. But this one, you’re always engaged. You’re always learning something. And the staff is amazing. They’re always super helpful. So it’s just been really great. My name’s Clint Mallard. We’re a personal training and fitness training facility. Oh, wow. I’m learning a ton. Like this morning so far has been search engine optimization. So really just the importance of being at the top of Google, how Google works and why it’s so important to go out and get video reviews and testimonials and getting Google reviews. And so all those things we can take back and really apply that like immediately. So it’s really cool to see not only how Google is doing it, but how it’s doing it in the real world. So I’m excited to be here. I’m excited to be here. I’m excited to be here. I’m excited to be here. And so all those things we can take back and really apply that immediately. So it’s really cool to see not only how to do it, but really the relevance and the importance of it in your long-term strategy of your business. It’s amazing actually the way in this morning, and yesterday I was videoing as I was walking in the front entrance. And actually me, I go to a lot of seminars, I go to a lot of conferences, massive ones. And this is by far the most entertaining. Not only the content, the content’s amazing, but Clay and you guys do a great job of mixing in entertainment, entertainment where it’s fun, it’s fresh, it’s lively, you never get bored. And I heard a study one time that the reason that children learn so much quicker is because it’s fun, learning is fun. And so obviously, LA is still that. It’s very fun to be here. And it keeps you awake, keeps you energized. So I’m having a blast. Yeah, I think any business owner or someone that wants to own a business or considering owning and starting a business should definitely come. I know that I was referred here by friends of mine and clients of mine, and I’ve referred other people. Again, just to understand what it takes to make a business successful. To have a good time, obviously, like I was just saying, have fun. And network, there’s a lot of people here you can learn from, and there’s a lot of breaks you can talk to other people. So I think this is a must-attempt for anybody that owns a business and really wants to start a business. My name’s Jamie Fagel. I’m with Jameson Fine Cabinetry. I heard about the conference through Andrew. He’s the coach that I deal with here at Thrive. The most valuable piece I found, even working with Andrew, but it’s been solidified when it came here, was you got to actually do the things that they’re telling you. With no action, you’re not going to get anything from it. I would highly recommend this to almost anybody in business today. I have recommended it to some of my other business partners. It’s phenomenal. It’s really something that if you want to start a business, the old way of doing things is gone. This is what you got to do. It’s the only way it’ll work. Hey, this is Charles and Amber Kola. We’re the owners of Kola Fitness. The way we’re able to do that is working with Clay for the last three years. He has really readjusted our thinking and taught us that our business is here to serve us. And by doing that, we’re able to live the lifestyle we want and take off on a random vacation last minute. We had totally planned on being at the conference. So, wish we could be there and meet all of you. We know you’re having a great time. So yes, Clay in the last three years has helped us build all the necessary systems, checklists, workflows, task lists, time blocks, audits that are always running and the right capable lieutenants to keep track of all that so that you too can get time freedom, financial freedom and that’s what we have done and Clay has helped us do. We’ve got multiple companies in multiple states and they’re all doing very well getting ready to go to more locations in this next year and Co-op Fitness has a really big future. We’re teaming up with a couple other groups and we should scale the company here shortly. Hopefully we’ll open like 50 locations in the next 10 years. So but yeah we’re on the way. We’re gonna probably more than double our company, maybe triple our company in the next eight to nine months and it’s just awesome. God is working in our business and we’re making Jesus and changing lives We’re a strong Christian company that focuses on making Jesus famous and changing lives in the fitness field. And this is Charles and a McCullough Thank you thrive. Hit your action items. We love you guys. We wish we were there Bye-bye My business is platinum Pest and Lawn. Some of the things that, I’ll be able to apply a lot of the things that I’ve learned in our business because this is not my first conference, and so a lot of the things that we learned we’ve put into place, and now we’re doing the next level of refining the processes for just a different concept, and so it’s getting better and better. Things that were just big processes before, we have the foundation laid and now we’re able to make it better and better and I’m hearing different things now that we’ve implemented things and so we can just make it even better implement it into our own business. Clay’s presentation and the atmosphere is very exciting and fun and keeps you awake. It makes it interesting. You have a lot of information but if it’s not going to be entertaining your brain is going to tune it out. But Play makes it just entertaining enough that you retain what you learn. Lots of rhyming and catchy things so that you remember stuff. What makes this conference different than other workshops or conferences that I’ve been to is that there’s a lot of people here in my same situation. Most of us are pretty small businesses wanting to improve. And we want real life information and something that will work and that’s attainable and not just some crazy magic formula but actual action items that we can implement in our business and actually see a difference. Everyone should attend a drive type business conference whether you’re a business owner or not. A, if you’re a business owner, it has practical applications that you can apply to so many different parts of your business, and then you need to come back for more so that you can keep doing more of the wonderful things that you learn. But secondly, I am also a mom of three kids, and a lot of the concepts can actually be applied to home, like getting routines and getting, setting systems at home has just seriously made a huge difference in my life at home. So I’ve been able to improve our business, but I’ve also been able to improve things at home. And so that’s why everyone should come, no matter what your station is in life. My name is Nolan Kew. I’m originally from San Francisco, California. The industry that I’m in is financial services. I’ve learned a ton so far, but what I can best apply from this conference is the opportunity, that hunger to go out there and make a big difference in my industry. Clay’s presentation style is amazing. He’s got an endless amount of energy. It’s contagious. And by being here, I really do want to go back and be able to face all the adversity that the industry has. Yeah, this conference, the thing that makes it different is that it’s special because it has a unique set of individuals that all share that same energy. I think he takes it as a dragon energy, but yeah, that’s me. Everyone should come to the multiple, but their first would be very special. Yeah, you’re welcome with a lot of enthusiasm. That’ll last for a long time. My name is Gabriela Cruz. Our business is ETS Electric. My husband’s the owner, but I’m involved with that, and so we’re an electric company. Well, here at the conference, they talk a lot about consistency, and so just staying consistent with different things in the business, and I feel like applying that to our business model will really help us grow. The atmosphere is very positive, uplifting, and it’s very fun and energetic, and so it gets you pumped and it gets you excited, and it encourages you to do big things. Probably how real they are. They tell you up front what you need to do and what’s like a no-go. And so conferences are, they kind of trigger code things. So I like how real they are here. I think it will definitely, if you want your business to grow, I think this will be a great experience. And then not only that, it will encourage you and inform you on so many things you don’t think about on a daily basis. Hey, I’m Ryan Wimpey. I’m originally from Tulsa, born and raised here. I’ve definitely learned a lot about life design and making sure the business serves you. The linear workflow, the linear workflow for us in getting everything out on paper and documented is really important. We have workflows that are kind of all over the place. Having linear workflow and seeing that mapped out on multiple different boards, it’s pretty awesome. That’s really helpful for me. The atmosphere here is awesome. I definitely just stared at the walls, figuring out how to make my facility look like this place. This place rocks. It’s invigorating. The walls are super, it’s just very cool. The atmosphere is cool. The people are nice. It’s a pretty cool place to be. Very good learning atmosphere. I literally want to model it and steal everything that’s here at this facility and basically create it just on our business side. Play is hilarious. I literally laughed so hard that I started having tears yesterday. And we’ve been learning a lot, which, you know, we’ve been sitting here, we’ve been learning a lot, so the humor definitely helps, it breaks it up. But the content is awesome, off the charts, and it’s very interactive. You can raise your hand. It’s not like you’re just listening to the professor speak. The wizard teaches, but the wizard interacts and he takes questions, so that’s awesome. If you’re not attending the conference, you’re missing about three quarters to half of your life. You’re definitely… It’s probably worth a couple thousand dollars. So you’re missing the thought process of someone that’s already started like nine profitable businesses. So not only is it a lot of good information, but just getting in the thought process of Clay Clark or Dr. Zellner or any of the other coaches, getting in the thought process of how they’re starting all these businesses, to me, just that is priceless. That’s money. Well, we’re definitely not getting upsold here. My wife and I have attended conferences where they, where it was great information, and then they upsold us like half the conference, and I don’t wanna like bang my head into a wall, and she’s like banging her head into the chair in front of her. Like, it’s good information, but we’re like, oh my gosh, I wanna strangle you, shut up, and go with the presentation that we paid for, and that’s not here. There’s no upsells or anything, so that’s awesome. I hate that. Oh, it makes me angry. So, glad that’s not happening. So the cost of this conference is quite a bit cheaper than business college. I went to a small private liberal arts college and got a degree in business. And I didn’t learn anything like they’re teaching here. I didn’t learn linear workflows. I learned stuff that I’m not using and I haven’t been using for the last nine years. So what they’re teaching here is actually way better than what I got at business school and I went what was actually ranked as a very good business school. I would definitely recommend that people would check out the Thrive 15 conference. The information that you’re going to get is just very very beneficial and the mindset that you’re going to get that you’re going to leave with is just absolutely worth the price of a little bit of money and a few days worth of your time. I’m Rachel with Tip Top Keynight and we just want to give a huge thank you to Clay and Vanessa Clark. Hey guys, I’m Ryan with Tip Top K9. Just want to say a big thank you to Thrive 15. Thank you to Make Your Life Epic. We love you guys. We appreciate you and really just appreciate how far you’ve taken us. This is our old house. This is where we used to live a few years ago. This is our old neighborhood. See? It’s nice, right? So this is my old van and our old school marketing, and this is our old team. And by team, I mean it’s me and another guy. This is our new house with our new neighborhood. This is our new van with our new marketing, and this is our new team. We went from four to 14, and I took this beautiful photo. We worked with several different business coaches in the past, and they were all about helping Ryan sell better and just teaching sales, which is awesome, but Ryan is a really great salesman. So we didn’t need that. We needed somebody to help us get everything that was in his head out into systems, into manuals, and scripts, and actually build a team. So now that we have systems in place, we’ve gone from one to 10 locations in only a year. In October 2016, we grossed 13 grand for the whole month. Right now it’s 2018, the month of October. It’s only the 22nd, we’ve already grossed a little over 50 grand for the whole month, and we still have time to go. We’re just thankful for you, thankful for Thrive and your mentorship, and we’re really thankful that you guys have helped us to grow a business that we run now instead of the business running us. Just thank you, thank you, thank you, times a thousand. So we really just want to thank you, Clay, and thank you, Vanessa, for everything you’ve done, everything you’ve helped us with. We love you guys. Hello, my name is Charles Colal with Colalaw Fitness. Today I want to tell you a little bit about Clay Clark and how I know Clay Clark. Clay Clark has been my business coach since 2017. He’s helped us grow from two locations to now six locations. We’re planning to do seven locations in seven years and then franchise. Clay has done a great job of helping us navigate anything that has to do with running the business, building the systems, the checklists, the workflows, the audits, how to navigate lease agreements, how to buy property, how to work with brokers and builders. This guy is just amazing. This kind of guy has worked in every single industry. He’s written books with like Lee Crockwell, head of Disney with the 40,000 cast members. He’s friends with like Mike Lindell. He does reawaken America tours where he does these tours all across the country where 10,000 or more people show up to some of these tours on the day-to-day. He does anywhere from about 160 companies. He’s at the top. He has a team of business coaches videographers and graphic designers, and web developers. They run 160 companies every single week. So think of this guy with a team of business coaches running 160 companies. So in the weekly he’s running 160 companies. Every six to eight weeks he’s doing reawaken America tours. Every six to eight weeks he’s also doing business conferences where 200 people show up and he teaches people a 13-step proven system that he’s done and worked with billionaires helping them grow their companies. So I’ve seen guys from startups go from startup to being multi-millionaires, teaching people how to get time freedom and financial freedom through the system, critical thinking, document creation, making it, putting it into, organizing everything in their head to building it into a franchisable, scalable business. Like one of his businesses has like 500 franchises. That’s just one of the companies or brands that he works with. So, amazing guy. Elon Musk, kind of like smart guy. He kind of comes off sometimes as socially awkward, but he’s so brilliant and he’s taught me so much. When I say that, Clay is like, he doesn’t care what people think when you’re talking to him. He cares about where you’re going in your life and where he can get you to go. And that’s what I like him most about him. He’s like a good coach. A coach isn’t just making you feel good all the time. A coach is actually helping you get to the best you. And Clay has been an amazing business coach. Through the course of that, we became friends. My most impressed with him is when I was shadowing him one time, we went into a business deal and listened to it. I got to shadow and listen to it. And when we walked out, I knew that he could make millions on the deal and they were super excited about working with him and he told me he’s like I’m not going to touch it, I’m going to turn it down because he knew it was going to harm the common good of people in the long run and the guy’s integrity just really wowed me. It brought tears to my eyes to see that this guy, his highest desire was to do what’s right and anyways just an amazing man. So anyways, impacted me a lot, he’s helped navigate any time I’ve got nervous or worried about how to run the company or you know navigating competition and an economy that’s like I remember we got closed down for three months. He helped us navigate on how to stay open, how to get back open, how to just survive through all the COVID shutdowns, lockdowns because our clubs were all closed for three months and you have $350,000 of bills you’ve got to pay and we have no accounts receivable. He helped us navigate that and of course we were conservative enough that we could afford to take that on for a period of time. But he was a great man. I’m very impressed with him. So Clay, thank you for everything you’re doing and I encourage you if you haven’t ever worked with Clay, work with Clay. He’s going to help magnify you and there’s nobody I have ever met that has the ability to work as hard as he does. He probably sleeps four, maybe six hours a day, and literally the rest of the time he’s working, and he can outwork everybody in the room every single day, and he loves it. So anyways, this is Charles Kola with Kola Fitness. Thank you, Clay, and anybody out there that’s wanting to work with Clay, it’s a great, great opportunity to ever work with him. So you guys have a blessed one. This is Charles Kola. We’ll see you guys, bye-bye. Hi, I’m Aaron Antis with Shaw Homes. I first heard about Clay through a mortgage lender here in town who had told me what a great job he had been doing for them. And I actually noticed he was driving a Lamborghini all of a sudden, so I was willing to listen. In my career, I’ve sold a little over $800 million in real estate. So honestly, I thought I kind of knew everything about marketing and homes, and then I met Clay and my perception of what I knew and what I could do definitely changed. After doing $800 million in sales over a 15-year career, I really thought I knew what I was doing. I’ve been managing a large team of salespeople for the last 10 years here with Shaw Homes. And, I mean, we’ve been a company that’s been in business for 35 years. We’ve become one of the largest builders in the Tulsa area, and that was without Clay. So when I came to know Clay, I really thought, man, there’s not much more I need to know, but I’m willing to listen. The interesting thing is our internet leads from our website has actually in a four-month period of time has gone from somewhere around 10 to 15 leads in a month to 180 internet leads in a month. Just from the few things that he’s shown us how to implement that I honestly probably never would have come up with on my own. So I got a lot of good things to say about the system that Clay put in place with us and it’s just been an incredible experience. I am very glad that we met and had the opportunity to work with Clay. So the interaction with the team and with Clay on a weekly basis is honestly very enlightening. One of the things that I love about Clay’s perspective on things is that he doesn’t come from my industry. He’s not somebody who’s in the home building industry. I’ve listened to all the experts in my field. Our company has paid for me to go to seminars, international builder shows, all kinds of places where I’ve had the opportunity to learn from the experts in my industry. But the thing that I found working with Clay is that he comes from such a broad spectrum of working with so many different types of businesses that he has a perspective that’s difficult for me to gain because I get so entrenched in what I do, I’m not paying attention to what other leading industry experts are doing. And Clay really brings that perspective for me. It is very valuable time every week when I get that hour with him. From my perspective, the reason that any business owner who’s thinking about hooking up with Thrive needs to definitely consider it is because the results that we’ve gotten in a very short period of time are honestly monumental. It has really exceeded my wildest expectation of what he might be able to do. I came in skeptical because I’m very pragmatic and as I’ve gone through the process over just a few months, I’ve realized it’s probably one of the best moves we’ve ever made. I think a lot of people probably feel like they don’t need a business or marketing consultant because they maybe are a little bit prideful and like to think they know everything. I know that’s how I felt coming in. I mean, we’re a big company that’s definitely one of the largest in town. And so we kind of felt like we knew what we were doing. And I think for a lot of people, they let their ego get in the way of listening to somebody that might have a better or different perspective than theirs. I would just really encourage you, if you’re thinking about working with Clay, I mean, the thing is, it’s month to month. Go give it a try and see what happens. I think in the 35 year history of Shaw Homes, this is probably the best thing that’s happened to us. And I know if you give them a shot, I think you’ll feel the same way. I know for me, the thing I would have missed out on if I didn’t work with Clay is I would literally an 1800% increase in our internet leads. Going from 10 a month to 180 a month, that would have been a huge financial decision to just decide not to give it a shot. I would absolutely recommend ClayClark to anybody who’s thinking about working with somebody in marketing. I would skip over anybody else you were thinking about and I would go straight to Clay and his team. I guarantee you’re not going to regret it because we sure haven’t. My name is Danielle Sprick and I am the founder of D. Sprick Realty Group here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After being a stay-at-home mom for 12 years and my three kids started school and they were in school full time. I was at a crossroads and trying to decide what do I want to do. My degree and my background is in education, but after being a mom and staying home and all of that, I just didn’t have a passion for it like I once did. My husband suggested real estate and home building go hand in hand and we just rolled with it. I love people, I love working with people, I love building relationships, but one thing that was really difficult for me was the business side of things. The processes and the advertising and marketing, I knew that I did not have what I needed to make that what it should be. So I reached out to Clay at that time, and he and his team have been extremely instrumental in helping us build our brand, help market our business, our agents, the homes that we represent. Everything that we do is a direct line from Clay and his team and all that they’ve done for us. We launched our brokerage, our real estate brokerage, eight months ago. And in that time, we’ve gone from myself and one other agent to just this week, we signed on our 16th agent. We have been blessed with the fact that we right now have just over 10 million in pending transactions. Three years ago, I never would have even imagined that I would be in this role that I’m in today, building a business, having 16 agents. But I have to give credit where credit’s due. And Clay and his team and the business coaching that they’ve offered us has been huge. It’s been instrumental in what we’re doing. Don’t ever limit your vision. When you dream big, big things happen. I started a business because I couldn’t work for anyone else. I do things my way. I do what I think is in the best interest of the patient. I don’t answer to insurance companies. I don’t answer to large corporate organizations. I answer to my patient and that’s it. My thought when I opened my clinic was I can do this all myself. I don’t need additional outside help in many ways. I mean, I went to medical school, I can figure this out. But it was a very, very steep learning curve. Within the first six months of opening my clinic, I had a $63,000 embezzlement. I lost multiple employees. Clay helped us weather the storm of some of the things that are just a lot of people experience, especially in the medical world. He was instrumental in helping with the specific written business plan. He’s been instrumental in hiring good quality employees, using the processes that he outlines for getting in good talent, which is extremely difficult. He helped me in securing the business loans. He helped me with web development and search engine optimization. We’ve been able to really keep a steady stream of clients coming in because they found us on the web. With everything that I encountered, everything that I experienced, I quickly learned it is worth every penny to have someone in your team that can walk you through and even avoid some of the pitfalls that are almost invariable in starting your own business. I’m Dr. Chad Edwards and I own Revolution Health and Wellness Clinic. We’ve got Aaron Antic with Sean Williams up there. We’ve got Steve Curry and Timmy Torelli with the concepts up there. Talking about what is possible when you just implement, when you implement, when you do the provenance. So exciting. People are going crazy. Now Michael Levine, writer of many, many PR books. The man who represents people like Michael Jackson, Harper Streisand, George Bush, Stanley Pond, speaking to people here at our conference, talking about branding. One of the greatest branding experts alive today is here at our conference, talking to entrepreneurs. We just wrapped up day one. It was incredible. We had some remarkable speakers. Michael Levine. We just finished with a lady named Jill Donovan who owns a company called Rustic Cuff, talking about the power of the Dream 100. I cannot wait to see what tomorrow holds. Hey guys, Luke Erickson with the Thrive Time Show here with you. It is day 2 and the energy is high. People are so excited to be showing up. The team is ready. Come on, let’s see what it’s like to go on in for day 2. Follow me. I’ll tell you what, people are so excited to be here for day 2. Now we’re in the middle of a break, and what we like to do is we like to give you as much tangible and relevant information from about the start of the hour for 45 minutes. Then we take approximately a 15 minute break to allow people to connect with other entrepreneurs around them, bathroom break, and also use this time to just really digest all of the good information that you’re receiving the whole time. We’ve had entrepreneurs like Paul Hood, the good CPAs. We’ve had Jill Donovan and Michael Levin come up. It just imparts so much wisdom and knowledge. We’ve got an incredible giveaway for one of the things that we love most about our business conferences is that we want every entrepreneur to leave with their questions answered. So what we do is we let them put the questions up on the board here so that they can ask their specific questions and Clay will not end the conference until every question is answered. Behind this, Clay Carr is answering all the different questions that entrepreneurs are brought to the conference. Whenever someone comes here and starts to hear this information, especially for the first time, it just brings about so much anticipation of wanting to actually implement the proven systems and processes. And so Clay always wants to make sure that he answers all of their questions so that they’re the most set up for the test to be able to go home and start implementing. If you have any questions, email us at info at thrivetimeshow.com. We have come to the end of the 2019 Christmas conference. It was incredible. These entrepreneurs have gotten so many tangible things that they can go and they can implement. Check us out for more information at thrivetimeshow.com and as we always like to do, we want to end with a boom. 3, 2, 1, boom! Once I saw what they were doing, I knew I had to get here at the conference. This is probably the best conference or seminar I’ve ever been to in over 30 years of business. You’re not bored. You’re awake and alive the whole time. At the workshop I learned a lot about time management, really prioritizing what’s the most important. The biggest takeaways are you want to take a step-by-step approach to your business, whether it’s marketing, what are those three marketing tools that you want to use, to human resources. Some of the most successful people and successful businesses in this town, their owners were here today because they wanted to know more from Clay and I found that to be kind of fascinating. The most valuable thing that I’ve learned is diligence. That businesses don’t change overnight. It takes time and effort and you’ve got to go through the ups and downs of getting it to where you want to go. He actually gives you the road map out. I was stuck, didn’t know what to do and he gave me the road map out step by step. We’ve set up systems in the business that make my life much easier, allow me some time freedom. Here you can ask any question you want, they guarantee it will be answered. This conference motivates me and also gives me a lot of knowledge and tools. It’s up to you to do it. Everybody can do these things, there’s stuff that everybody knows, but if you don’t do it, nobody else is going to do it for you. I can see the marketing working. It’s just an approach that makes sense. Probably the most notable thing is just the income increase that we’ve had. It’s super fun, it’s super motivating. I’ve been here before, but I’m back again because it motivates me. Your competition is going to come eventually or try to pick up these tactics. So you better, if you don’t, somebody else will. If you decide to not attend the Thrive Time Workshop, you’re missing out on a great opportunity. The Atmosphere Place office is very lively. The SEO optimization, branding, marketing. I’ve learned more in the last two days than I have the entire four years of college. The most valuable thing that I’ve learned, marketing is key, marketing is everything. Making sure that you’re branded accurately and clearly. How to grow a business using Google reviews and just how to optimize our name through our website also. Helpful with a lot of marketing, search engine optimization, helping us really rank high in Google. The biggest thing I needed to learn was how to build my foundation, how to systemize everything and optimize everything, build my SEO. How to become more organized, more efficient. How to make sure the business is really there to serve me as opposed to me constantly being there for the business. New ways of advertising my business as well as recruiting new employees. Group interviews, number one. Before we felt like we were held hostage by our employees. Group interviews has completely eliminated that because you’re able to really find the people that would really be the best fit. Hands on how to hire people, how to deal with human resources, a lot about marketing and overall just how to structure the business, how it works for me and also then how that can translate into working better for my clients. The most valuable thing I’ve learned here is time management. I like the one hour of doing your business. It’s real critical if I’m going to grow and change. Play really teaches you how to navigate through those things and not only find freedom, but find your purpose in your business and find the purpose for all those other people that directly affect your business as well. Everybody. Everybody. Everyone. Everyone needs to attend the conference because you Everybody. Everybody. Everyone. Everyone needs to attend the conference because you get an opportunity to see that it’s real.
