Audio Transcription

This month we did over two times as much business as we did last year. We had 208% of our last year’s numbers in this month. My name is Toni Serenas and I’m owner of Complete Carpet. I’m Nathan Serenas. I’m owner. Together with her, she does a lot of our management and call leads and connecting with the customers, getting all of our back-end advertising. I do pretty much all the service, connecting directly with the customer. We started working with Thrive in, I think our first meeting was the end of October, so really November was our first full month of working with Thrive team here. Just an increase in customers, we’ve just been really busy, we’re definitely learning how to manage this growth and to continue to move forward to expand our business. One of the big things I’ve seen personally is that I’ve been doing this for 20 years and I thought I knew how to do things and I thought that I was just like this is the best that I could do and Thrive has shown that there are some best practice ways and other avenues that you can get things accomplished without having, without running into the same brick wall over and over. They say, well look, here’s this door, here’s this other opportunity, here’s another way to accomplish the same thing. And those tools have helped free up, one, tremendous amounts of time to where I’m now focusing on the business and not just always working in the business, but also to be able to stay connected with our customers, to be able to give them a little bit better experience, to bring in Google leads, to bring in connections to where all of our regular advertising we already had. We haven’t changed some of the main basis of our advertising. It’s just now become effective and it’s working, where before it was just kind of hit and miss of what we could accomplish. And now we’ve doubled this month’s revenue compared to last February. And we really haven’t changed a lot, except we made everything effective. We made everything work. We stayed on top of our customers. And really, without the Thrive system, we hadn’t figured it out on our own yet. We needed somebody to guide us, show us what it was that we didn’t know we didn’t know yet, and that way we were able to start connecting the dots for things that we thought just didn’t work. And we said, no, it actually will work. Here’s the process to do it. I said, I don’t know. I don’t know if it would work. And every week, it would come back and say, look, see, it’s working. And then that snowballs into motivation of saying, I can do this. I can accomplish things. And having that person there each week, having that meeting, that accountability, the ability to track what it is that you’re doing. Somebody else who cares all about what’s going to happen in your business besides yourself has made the, completely made, turned our business around. For me personally, it feels like the win is knowing that we’re moving forward, we’re doing what needs to be done for the business, and that we have both someone that can guide us to do that, but also the accountability of it. Connecting with what she said, I think that having that accountability each week has been a huge thing to really connect it, but in a specific goal-oriented, when we started with Thrive, we were looking to do about a 50% growth. We thought, and at our first meeting, we said, I don’t know, I said, what’s your big thing, what’s a big push for you? And I told Marshall, I said, you know, I would love to see 50% growth. I really don’t think I can do it. I haven’t been able to do it yet. And we are four months later, and my goal right now each month is actually 60% growth. And this month we did over two times as much business as we did last year. We had 208% of our last year’s numbers in this month. And so, to me, that’s one of our biggest wins is the fact that we’re exceeding by leaps and bounds what I originally started when I thought I was setting a really audacious goal of saying, you know what, we’ll increase by 50 percent. I had a 12-month window of saying, in 12 months from now, I hope that we’ve increased by 50 percent. We’re four months in. I’ve increased by double. I’ve increased by 208 percent. And it’s just, to me, that makes all of this work worth it. I would absolutely. I think that our time here is extremely valuable and productive and we’re continuing to move in the direction that we want to go. And I completely agree with that. I think that every business needs to have somebody behind them that gives them a second pair of eyes on the things that they’ve been doing because you may think you’re a rock star and you’re nailing it, and you may be, but you don’t realize that there is more growth potential or better ways to become more efficient. On that side of it, I’ve been able to accomplish so much more in the last three or four months using the same schedule I was doing before. I’ve actually got more scheduled time with my family. I’m focusing it on things that matter in my life outside of just the business, and that helps to drive me and push me towards. I think everybody should, at some point, take advantage of some offering that Thrive has, whether it be a conference, whether it be a radio podcast that’s their online school, or getting a one-on-one coaching which has helped us tremendously. Andrew, every single morning at the Thrive Time Show World Headquarters we have a what to start the day? We have a coaches meeting. And at the very top of that agenda we cover what? We cover our wins. And do you remember when we were celebrating some wins for Complete Carpet? Yeah, we actually had them come in and speak. They were winning so much, we had them come in and speak to our team. Yeah. And do you remember how cool it was to see real people, real clients right in front of you, who have been able to double their company in like a year? Isn’t that crazy? I doubled their company in a year. That’s insane. Now Andrew, what if I told you that the people you met were in fact real people. They were not holograms. They were very real people. But seriously, I think there’s a lot of our listeners who listen to the show and they can’t be in those meetings. Right. And one of the things that is my biggest frustration is I think people are on the outside listening to the show. I mean, if you were listening to the show and you weren’t, you know, part of the show, part of the production crew would you believe that somebody could double their business for less money than it costs to hire a $10 an hour employee? I mean, honestly, think about this. If you went to the average person and said, hey, I’m going to give you a $10 per hour employee and this guy, he’s going to double your company. I mean, seriously, think about that offer. If I walked up to your business and I said, hey, I’m a $10 an hour employee, hi, how you doing, and I’m going to double, think about the last $10 an hour employee you’ve met, he walks up to you and says, hi, I can double your company in a little less than a year. I mean is that even a believable idea? I think I’d have to hear some testimonials. Well here’s what I’m gonna do. I’m gonna pull up, I’m gonna encourage all the listeners to pull up completecarpettulsa.com. That’s completecarpettulsa.com as we share this week’s edition of… Wings of the Week! I think, boom! Doing the bull dance, feeling the flow. Working, working, working. You can do it! Yes, my name is Nathan. I think I’ve seen most of you in and out of the office at times. This is my lovely wife, Toni. Hi. She’s the brains behind the operation. I’m just the meat and the muscle that goes out and pushes the wands and keeps the carpets clean and cleaned. We’ve been in Tulsa for 21 years, our 21st year cleaning carpets in the Tulsa area. And it’s also our first year breaking records. I mean, the last year has been amazing. We’ve got, we’re up to three vans. We’ve got employees. We’re not just we, now it’s us. There’s more than us, so. And honestly, it’s mostly you guys that we have to thank for that, because if we could have done it better ourselves, we already would have. And so that’s the hardest part, I think, is getting to the point of becoming coachable, saying, I felt like I was already doing a great job, and if I thought I could have done better, I would have done better. And it was hard to get that point where I said, you know what, we need to find some other outside help that can help us to get past the things that I’ve run into brick wall on and was too proud to tell anybody that I couldn’t do better. How did you guys first hear about us? I first heard of you on the radio, and actually I avoided, because there was Glenn Beck, and then there was the Thrive Time show, and then there was other stuff, and because I would only hear it in minutes at a time, I’d listen to it and it was like a great nugget, but I had to run inside to do another job, and so I was like, ah, and then I’d come back, and I’d hit the end of a conversation, and so I started avoiding it, and then I realized it’s a podcast, so then I could just listen to it, heard the whole thing, I was like, wait, these are ideas I can start doing something with, and so the beginning of 2017, I started doing some stuff. We tried to change it, started applying some of the things, and then finally got really engaged with the whole culture of the radio show, of how things were flowing, like, hey, I can listen to this whole podcast. This is gonna give me some useful information. Like, you’re talking about actionable items. And so we started putting those together, and then heard you had a conference, and signed up for the October one of 2017. Did you two come to the conference together? We did, yes. So when you guys came to the conference, Toni, what was going through your mind as you were wrapping up day two of the conference or as you’re wrapping up the conference? I found it really motivating. I realized that there was a lot of information that we could take and implement, a lot that we hadn’t been implementing. There was a few things that we were already on point with doing, a lot of the marketing and Google AdWord type stuff. But there was so much more that we could do and implement that would help us to grow the business beyond just the two of us. And there was a lot of cool moments at the conference where, well, they’re cool for her. For me, it wasn’t so much where she looked and she said, you know those things I’ve been telling you that would help us if we did this? And then she kind of showed it to you and you would talk about it. I was like, you’re right. I do need to change some of these things. So you guys started with us, how long ago did you start going through the coaching program with us? It was in October. Yeah, a year from November, because we met with you then and then just started that November point-testing. So it’s a year of last November. Okay, a year and a couple of months. And how are sales different now than they were a year ago? Oh, double of almost everything. So we’ve, and the awesome thing is that last year, and I think we’ve got one of our little boards out there, we’re kind of a thank you, because we’re like, oh man, we’re really feeling some growth. So January and February of last year, we were up like 60, 70% from the year before that. And we’re up another 60 to 70% this year from last year, which puts us well over 200% from the year before that. So it’s been exponential. Our limiting factor right now is that there’s only so many jobs in a week. The number of hours I can do a work on Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and we’re filling all the schedule. Who here has worked on their files? Anybody here done work for them? Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Lots of graphic design stuff. Lots of graphic design stuff, okay. Thank you. And what have you been doing? Yes, you. Okay, anybody else here done work for the Complete Target people? Jordan, what did you work on? Oh yes. Alicia, what did you work on? Who else worked on something? Devin, what did you work on? Website. Website? Alright. I’m sure you had a lot of fun with our header. You’re the one that kept it. That thing was a beast. It looks great now though. So what has been the biggest things you’ve learned from the coaching program or the things that have helped you guys as a couple the most since you’ve been working with us the past year? Accountability. Just saying, you know, this is what we need to do for our business, for our family and by coming in every week I like to compare it to going to church every Sunday. It’s a way to reposition yourself on the right path that you wanna go down and to say, you know, you may have slapped in these areas and it’s time to address them and get back on that right path and keep moving forward towards what you guys were talking about earlier, towards your goals. Well, those of you who have not met these guys before, but you, I mean, you’re doing SEO, you know? You do SEO, you guys do sales calls. What questions do you have for them? They’ve been able to double their business in this past year. Do you have any questions for them? Because they are real clients, real people. No? Yes, you bet. How much, like, your business, how much did it change once you reached the top approval? Or once you’re, you know, you became more higher up in the internet, or? Got a couple different parts to that. The, obviously we’ve doubled in the last year and our goal right now is to double by this time next year, too. Now, we’ve got multiple Vans so we can handle the growth. We already had Google AdWords working and going for us. We actually started that as the first time that Google started with the AdWords program. So we had it in place and we literally, we had it just open. Like as much as it could spend, it could spend and it just naturally capped itself off. It’s been like 1,500 a month, 1,000 a month or so, and that’s just all the clicks we could get. And by one of the big things from the conference last year that just instantly we saw a turnaround on was pushing us towards getting reviews. And I just never did it. I just didn’t think it mattered that much to our business. We already were at the top for searching with Google. And that month, we just said, hey, you know what? We’re going to do it. We started getting those reviews, and the reviews changed the effectiveness of our Google AdWords. And so we’ve got the same budget and the same open platform that we had before, but we’re bringing in, I think we did almost two and a half, maybe three times as many. I think last week we did 31 Google search customers that we serviced just last week alone. And we’re, this time last year, we only did 10. So I mean, it was a huge change. And so by having more content, a better operating website, we didn’t have it mobile compliant. I had turned that off because she built our website. She was fantastic. She did SEO stuff in the past, but the platform on GoDaddy, our website looked awful on mobile, so I just turned it off. I didn’t want anyone to see an awful website, so we just forced people to have to see it there. So making that change, making the SEO change, making the Google platform to where we came up higher, and the reviews just took all the stuff we already had and just just catapulted really within about two to three months, we had almost double the amount of business we had just by really getting the reviews. That made a big difference. When customers go looking for a carpet cleaner, now they see our ad, which is usually top, and then they see the reviews, and then they see that our website is placed on the first page. So they get that whole combination, and there’s that sense of trust and authority that we’ve now established where we did usually have a good placement with our AdWords. And I did, I think, three versions of the website over the course of our marriage. But as Google changed everything throughout the years, I reached a point where I was just limited anymore. I couldn’t have the time to rebuild it and make it mobile compliant. And that’s where you guys stepped in. And that was just such a big component, I think, to really get us out there. So we had people calling saying, well, I did see your ad, but then I looked at your reviews, and then I looked at the testimonials, or then I went to your website. And so all of a sudden now they’re like, well, of course, and then you throw in the no-brainer and they’re just like, well, yeah, we’re going to use you. What is your no-brainer? What do you guys offer? It is a $99 whole home carpet cleaning. So any carpet in your house for $99, get it all cleaned. And that helps us because now we can get out there and estimate for your next cleaning. We’ll know exactly what it will be. But two, that way you can write a check before we get there and you already know what it is. No upsells, no side stuff, no gotchas in the middle of it. We’ve had quite a few customers just call and be like, okay, is it still going to be 99 at the end? I said, yeah. If you want to stroke the check before I get there, I’m totally fine, but we’re going to get you taken care of. And so that has just, we’ve, oh, another part that we added that you guys helped us with was online booking. And right now, a little over 20% of all of our jobs are booked online and we were able to get a platform in there and we kept keeping us accountable and checking and working on it. We thought about it for a long time when Victoria sat down and said you know come back with something next week and I was like oh now I’ve got a deadline to actually get this done because I’ve been thinking about it for six months it just hadn’t done it. It was available to us we just hadn’t I think we had three jobs scheduled online yesterday while we were at church. Making money at church. Now are you guys doing sales scripting and call recording? Yes, we’ve been recording. I’ve been recording calls. We’ve gone through and spent the last year. Do you do all your calls or does someone else do your calls for you? I’m answering and we are working to modify the script to make it something I’m actually really using. I have kind of my own version, you know, but I mean we definitely are moving towards, because we want to find, we want to hire someone soon that will be the main person to answer the phone. What about managing people? Have you guys really, how many people are on your team right now? We’ve got one full-time tech and then obviously the both of us and we try to employ our kids as much as possible. I try to manage them but it’s really hard. How about your time management, your schedule? How’s that been different this year, managing your schedule? Have you implemented a lot of those things yet? Yes. getting up earlier to get more stuff accomplished and just blocking out time. That’s probably the biggest part is setting up family time. I know that it obviously you need to accomplish stuff in your day and work but there’s making sure that you put whatever you would consider your candy, your ice cream, your something, but put that after you’ve gotten your stuff done. So I’ve got a two-hour block to sit down to make sure I’m movies, TV, every day, something we’re doing with the family. And now the whole rest of the day, I’ve got to get everything knocked out before that time. Whereas before it was like, I will do something with the kids when I’m done. And so a lot of times work just flew in and like, oh, they’re already going to bed. I missed it. Or, you know, I’ll get to them, but I’m at the house, but I’m working on something else where now I’ve got a defined block of time and that makes everything else I’m doing now is important. I have to stay on track the rest of the day because I got to meet that six o’clock or seven o’clock time where I’m going to sit down and have fun and enjoy the family. And so blocking off and making things important, I got to get up early enough to make sure all that stuff gets done before the evening point comes. So whatever your point is, whatever your candy is, whatever your joy is, the thing that you like to do. There was a podcast we had that you did recently and I just loved it. The guy said that he doesn’t eat until he’s got an XYZ done. So he uses food as a great motivator because he said man the more hungry I get the more stuff I start getting accomplished and all of a sudden I eat I’m like oh I feel so good now I really enjoy the food it becomes a reward instead of well I’ll do that after I’ve eaten and so so small things of just saying make sure you get the things that are important get the hard stuff done first so you can get to the stuff you enjoy. You guys, it’s you two and then a technician? That’s correct. So which is why we’re here right now we’ve got somebody cleaning for us. That’s why we’re able to be here right now because we have someone out there cleaning for us. Awesome. We make money and talk to you guys. Now if you guys didn’t have us, you know, if you didn’t have videographer, photographer, graphic designer, coder, all that team, could you do everything you’re doing now? And not stay married? No, there was no way. One big thing, and I’ll tie back into your SEO or website side, we’ve actually tried a couple of other companies in the past for just the website side. There was Yelp had a thing and someone else had a deal. We spent a bunch of money and they gave us like, hey, in six months from now, you’ll be up somewhere or get somewhere going. And three or four months in, we’re like, okay, we’ve lost a lot of business. Things aren’t working out. We had to pull back from at least two different companies. And so we were really leery about letting you guys work on the website and get on stuff, but you guys are so much better than so many other companies. You get things done, that week it happened, the next week something we had on the gen, it got happened, it wasn’t, submit something, and they got back to us like a month later. And so I wanna commend you guys on getting stuff knocked out in the same week, and that way we come back to our coaches meeting, it’s already there and done. That really helps us out tremendously. And so those types of things that you guys are doing makes it so we can go do the stuff in the business that we hadn’t been able to do because we were. It’s a support structure that you all provide. And I think that even if we think of those things, I mean, we’ve been married for 12 and a half years and he’s been doing the business for 21 now. And it’s taken us this long to get to where we’re really doing the things that we should be doing if we want it to be a business that takes care of us, rather than us just constantly taking care of the business. So I think that it’s vital to have all the components that you provide so that we can move ahead quickly when we’re ready to get to that point, rather than talking about it for months, thinking about it for years, and then eventually, maybe one day making a decision on it. And one other thing I’d add in is one thing you guys provide that’s immeasurable for me personally is that I’ve tried a lot of stuff and I probably hit my own personal limitation of just not be able to stay behind it or stay on task and so it didn’t work and I just assumed it didn’t work because it didn’t work not because I had failed and so I just quit whatever it was and moved on to something else and there’s a lot of stuff that Marshall is helping us now Victoria helped us with before and the stuff you guys were I said hey you need to do this you need to do it I love the just short of gold. You know, I dug and I’m sure I was five feet short of so many different things. They brought back and said, oh I can’t do that because that doesn’t work. They said, yeah it does work if you’ll just do this and so our team will do this, you do that, and I promise you’ll see a result. Okay, I’ll try again. How many pages of content do you have on your website? Close to 400 I think. I’ve been trying to do, I’m shooting for at least 30. Where do you rank in Google? Are you on page one? Page one, I’d say it bounces around, but maybe fifth or sixth on the organic. Just so you guys know, to reach out on Google, for those of you who don’t know, you have to have the most content, and the most reviews, the most canonical compliance, and the most mobile compliance. And so you guys have 400 pages. How many pages are you adding every week, or every month? Let’s see, I’m trying to do, I’m trying to on average do one a day, so about 30 some odd, 30 to 40 a month I’m trying to sit down and do. I do them in spurts where I’ll sit down and just have a blank time, just put a headset on, start podcasting, use a little headset and just record it on my phone and then transcribe it with Timmy and then some of you guys have done my, you know, actually turning that into content. I’ve tried to do some of it myself and just whenever I’ve got spurts to do it, I try to make sure I get it done at least something every week So you’ve been able to double your business this year and Victoria coached you for a while and then Marshall’s coaching you now Yeah, what other questions do you guys have for complete carpet? You have a question like what do you what do you think were the like I like you talk about? You know not being that like being five feet from gold and you know a few other things like what do you think are the? Big limiting factors that you guys felt like that you had that kept you from being able to see the vision that you see now with your business? You know, like what are the things that kept you from that? Me personally, it was the doom loop. I knew the more successful I would get, the more work I’d have to do. And as a sole provider when you’re running your own truck, there’s a big financial jump between one truck and the profitability you can have. To two trucks, you go down in profitability a lot because all of your overhead goes up. And so you’ve got to get to the third truck to be able to get back to an even, like making as much. So that’s why I brought back, because I tried to be efficient, tried to grow, and I found, well, I’m going to have to work backwards and say, how productive can I become and be super efficient? Instead, we’re going through and saying, OK, I’d love to say, I’d rather make $1 off 100 people’s efforts than $100 off my own effort. And that was the triangle I was trapped in, is that I knew if I worked really hard, I eventually just would never see my family because I would cap out what I could do in one van all by myself. And this last year I realized, okay, I now have a plan. You guys gave me a plan, you guys gave me a trajectory where I know that I can scale into three vans and have six guys working for us and be able to make that hump over. And I was just afraid to make that jump because, honestly, I didn’t know how to fill up three vans and make it effective because I tried once about 10 years ago and I failed then. And so I just went back to doing what I knew was safe and secure and make sure I take care of my family. But I needed that extra… Somebody’s already climbed the mountain, I was already up there, I said, hey, I know no path to come up here, it’s going to be hard, you’re climbing up a mountain and it’s iced and you got to hold on to this thing and you may slip down a couple of times, but I know that you can make it to the top.” And that weekly connection with somebody who just came back and said, okay, where you at on this? What’s your trouble? And I give it to them and they’d be like, okay, I don’t know the answer right here but I’m going to talk to somebody who does and come back and be like, okay, here’s what you need to do. It’s an LLC. You need to set that system up. I can’t believe you made it 20 years without an LLC. You’re doing this whole project. I think I like to think of what he’s saying as strategy plus implementation, which is you guys give us a strategy and then you show us how we can implement it and then you hold us accountable for it. I had the drive to do, I just needed to know where to put that. Any more questions? You guys have a complete car. Any more questions? Well we appreciate you guys so much and thank you for coming in and sharing because again the whole team here is working on your projects all the time, they don’t get a chance to hear directly from you guys the success you’ve been able to have. And it’s just awesome to have real people that we get to see and have come into our meetings and share about your success. And again, you said double the amount of sales this year? Yes. Yeah. We are year on year from last year was up 70%. We’re up, well, right now this week, I just finished the numbers for this last week. So we still have a few more days in February, but we’re up 45% from last year, and I’ve still got the rest of the week to finish out. So we’re super excited, and this is, February’s our slowest month, and we’re on track to do as much as we did almost all of our normal months last year. So it’s awesome. I can see us, this last year was the first time we cracked 200,000 in revenue for our business. Last year we hadn’t ever cracked 100 before, and so our goal now is to crack 350. That’s our next job. We’re going to. Thank you all of you guys for your back end stuff. And I know some of you have worked on our projects and we’ve pestered you with a million questions and we went back and forth a lot. And thank you for your patience and working with us. Because that just honestly, it means a tremendous amount to us because it got us unstuck. It really has. So thank you. Yes, we’re really grateful for Thrive and everybody that has helped us through all It really has. So, thank you guys. Yes, we’re really grateful for Thrive and everybody that has helped us through all this. And will continue to help us. Well, let’s hear it for Complete Carpet. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. No, no, no. It is believable. It is real. You can check them out today at CompleteCarpetTulsa.com. Please feel free to call these guys. Verify their success. They’re having massive success. You can have massive success. You don’t just have to be on the outside looking in on the success. You can be one of the big ballers that attends our workshops, that drives a nice car, has a nice home, sends your kids to a nice school. You don’t have to delay. Your time is now. You must start now. Our workshop is $250, and it is the world’s highest and most reviewed business workshop. I encourage you not to believe me. My name is Clay Clark, that’s Andrew Bloomer, and without any further ado, 3, 2, 1, Boom! I’m here with 515.com And we just wanted to welcome you to our nation Yeah We took the very best books And the very best minds And then we condensed them to 15 minute episodes Oh Nathan Oh, Nathan, if you got any questions, oh, I’m talking 24-7, all you do is call. Nathan, now it’s your time to thrive. Hi, I’m Ryan Wimpey. And I’m Rachel Wimpey, and the name of our business is Kip-Tock-Kee-Nate. Our business is a dog training business. We help people with behavioral issues and teach their dog how to listen. When I was learning to become a dog trainer, we didn’t learn anything about internet marketing or advertising or anything at all. Just dog training. And that’s what’s so great about working with Clay and his team because they do it all for us. So that we can focus on our passion and that’s training dogs. Clay and his team here, they’re so enthusiastic. Their energy is off the charts. Never a dull moment. They’re a threat. We’ve been working with Clay and his team for the last five months, two of which have been our biggest months ever. One, our biggest gross by 35%. Clay’s helped us make anything from brochures to stickers, new business cards, new logos, scripts for phones, scripts for emails, scripts for text messages, scripting for everything. How I would describe the weekly meetings with Clay and his team are awesome. They’re so effective. It’s worth every minute. Things get done. We’ll ask for things like different flyers, and they’re done before our hour is up. So, it’s just awesome, extremely effective. If you don’t use Clay and his team, you’re probably going to be pulling your hair out, or you’re going to spend half of your time trying to figure out the online marketing game and produce your own flyers and marketing materials, print materials, all the stuff like that. You’re really losing a lot as far as lost productivity and lost time. Not having a professional do it has a real sense of urgency and actually knows what they’re doing. When you already have something that’s your core focus, you already know how to do it. You would also be missing out with all the time and financial freedom that you would have working with Clay and his team. We would recommend Clay and his team to other business owners because they need to be working on their business, not just trying to figure out the online game, which is complex and changing daily. So no one has a marketing team, too. Most people don’t. They can’t afford one. And their local web guy or local person that they know probably can’t do everything that a whole team and a whole floor of people can do in hours and not just weeks or months. There’s a definite sense of urgency with Clay and his team. I used to have to ride other web people, I mean, really ride them to get stuff done. And stuff is done so fast here. People, there’s a real sense of urgency to get it done. Hey, I’m Ryan Wimpey. I’m originally from Tulsa, born and raised here. I’ve definitely learned a lot about life design and making sure the business serves you. The linear workflow, the linear workflow for us in getting everything out on paper and documented is really important. I think we have workflows that are kind of all over the place. So having linear workflow and seeing that mapped out on multiple different boards is pretty awesome. That’s really helpful for me. The atmosphere here is awesome. I definitely just stared at the walls figuring out how to make my facility look like this place. This place rocks. It’s invigorating. The walls are super, it’s just very cool. The atmosphere is cool, the people are nice, it’s a pretty cool place to be. Very good learning atmosphere. I literally want to model it and steal everything that’s here at this facility and basically create it just on our business side. Play is hilarious. I literally laughed so hard that I started having tears yesterday. And we’ve been learning a lot and so the humor definitely definitely helps it breaks it up but the content is awesome off the charts and it’s very interactive you can raise your hand it’s not like you’re just listening to the professor speak you know the wizard teaches but the wizard interacts and he takes questions so that’s awesome if you’re not attending the conference you’re missing about three quarters to half of your life you’re definitely definitely, it’s probably worth a couple thousand dollars. So, you’re missing the thought process of someone that’s already started like nine profitable businesses. So, not only is it a lot of good information, but just getting in the thought process of Clay Clark or Dr. Zellner or any of the other coaches, getting in their thought process of how they’re starting all these businesses, to me, just that is priceless. That’s money. Well, we’re definitely not getting upsold here. My wife and I have attended conferences where it was great information and then they upsold us like half the conference and I don’t want to like bang my head into a wall. And she’s like banging her head into the chair in front of her. Like it’s good information, but we’re like, oh my gosh, I want to strangle you. Shut up and go with the presentation that we paid for. And that’s not here. There’s no upsells or anything, so that’s awesome. I hate that. Oh, it makes me angry. So, glad that’s not happening. So the cost of this conference is quite a bit cheaper than business college. I went to a small private liberal arts college and got a degree in business, and I didn’t learn anything like they’re teaching here. I didn’t learn linear workflows. I learned stuff that I’m not using and I haven’t been using for the last nine years. So what they’re teaching here is actually way better than what I got at business school. And I went what was actually ranked as a very good business school. I would definitely recommend that people would check out the Thrive 15 conference. The information that you’re going to get is just very, very beneficial and the mindset that you’re going to get, that you’re going to leave with is just absolutely worth the price of a little bit of money and a few days worth of your time. The number of new customers that we’ve had is up 411% over last year. We are Jared and Jennifer Johnson. We own Platinum Pest and Lawn and are located in Owasso, Oklahoma. And we have been working with Thrive for business coaching for almost a year now. Yeah. So what we want to do is we want to share some wins with you guys that we’ve had by working with Thrive. First of all, we’re on the top page of Google now. I just want to let you know what type of accomplishment this is. Our competition, Orkin, Terminex, they’re both $1.3 billion companies. They both have 2,000 to 3,000 pages of content attached to their website. So to basically go from virtually non-existent on Google to up on the top page is really saying something. But it’s come by being diligent to the systems that Thrive has, by being consistent and diligent on doing podcasts and staying on top of those podcasts to really help with getting up on what they’re listing and ranking there with Google. And also we’ve been trying to get Google reviews, asking our customers for reviews, and now we’re the highest rated and most reviewed Pest and Lawn company in the Tulsa area. And that’s really helped with our conversion rate. And the number of new customers that we’ve had is up 411% over last year. Wait, say that again. How much are we up? 411%. Okay. So 411% we’re up with our new customers. Amazing. Right. So not only do we have more customers calling in, we’re able to close those deals at a much higher rate than we were before. Right now, our closing rate is about 85%. And that’s largely due to, first of all, our Google reviews that we’ve gotten. People really see that our customers are happy. But also, we have a script that we follow. And so when customers call in, they get all the information that they need. That script has been refined time and time again. It wasn’t a one and done deal. It was a system that we followed with Thrive in the refining process. And that has obviously, the 411% shows that that system works. Yeah. So here’s a big one for you. So last week alone, our booking percentage was 91%. We actually booked more deals, more new customers last year than we did the first five months. Or, I’m sorry, we booked more deals last week than we did the first five months of last year from before we worked with Thrive. So again, we booked more deals last week than the first five months of last year. It’s incredible, but the reason why we have that success is by implementing the systems that Thrive has taught us and helped us out with. Some of those systems that we’ve implemented are group interviews. That way we’ve really been able to come up with a really great team. We’ve created and implemented checklists, everything gets done and it gets done right. It creates accountability. We’re able to make sure that everything gets done properly, both out in the field and also in our office. And also doing the podcast like Jared had mentioned, that has really, really been a big blessing in our lives. And also, you know, it’s really shown that we’ve gotten a success from following those systems. So before working with Thrive, we were basically stuck. Really no new growth with our, with our business. And we were in a rut and we didn’t know. The last three years, our customer base had pretty much stayed the same. We weren’t shrinking, but we weren’t really growing either. Yeah, and so we didn’t really know where to go, what to do, how to get out of this rut that we’re in. But Thrive helped us with that. They implemented those systems, they taught us those systems, they taught us the knowledge that we needed in order to succeed. Now it’s been a grind, absolutely it’s been a grind this last year. But we’re getting those fruits from that hard work and the diligent effort that we’re able to put into it. So again, we were in a rut, Thrive helped us get out of that rut, and if you’re thinking about working with Thrive, quit thinking about it and just do it. Do the action and you’ll get the results. It will take hard work and discipline, but that’s what it’s going to take in order to really succeed. So we just want to give a big shout out to Thrive, a big thank you out there to Thrive. We wouldn’t be where we’re at now without their help. Hi, I’m Dr. Mark Moore. I’m a pediatric dentist. Through our new digital marketing plan, we have seen a marked increase in the number of new patients that we’re seeing every month, year over year. One month, for example, we went from 110 new patients the previous year to over 180 new patients in the same month. And overall, our average is running about 40 to 42% increase month over month, year over year. The group of people required to implement our new digital marketing plan is immense, starting with a business coach, videographers, photographers, web designers. Back when I graduated dental school in 1985, nobody advertised. The only marketing that was ethically allowed in everybody’s eyes was mouth-to-mouth marketing. By choosing to use the services, you’re choosing to use a proof-and-turn-key marketing and coaching system that will grow your practice and get you the results that you are looking for. I went to the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, graduated in 1983, and then I did my pediatric dental residency at Baylor College of Dentistry from 1983 to 1985. Hello, my name is Charles Colaw with Colaw Fitness. Today I want to tell you a little bit about Clay Clark and how I know Clay Clark. Clay Clark has been my business coach since 2017. He’s helped us grow from two locations to now six locations. We’re planning to do seven locations in seven years and then franchise. Clay’s done a great job of helping us navigate anything that has to do with running the business, building the systems, the checklists, the workflows, the audits, how to navigate lease agreements, how to buy property, how to work with brokers and builders. This guy is just amazing. This kind of guy has worked in every single industry. He’s written books with Lee Crockrell, head of Disney, with the 40,000 cast members. He’s friends with Mike Lindell. He does Reawaken America tours where he does these tours all across the country where 10,000 or more people show up to some of these tours. On the day-to-day, he does anywhere from about 160 companies. He’s at the top. He has a team of business coaches, videographers, and graphic designers and web developers, and they run 160 companies every single week. So, think of this guy with a team of business coaches running 160 companies. So, in the weekly, he’s running 160 companies. Every six to eight weeks, he’s doing Reawaken America tours. Every six to eight weeks, he’s also doing business conferences where 200 people show up, and he teaches people a 13-step proven system that he’s done and worked with billionaires, helping them grow their companies. So I’ve seen guys from startups go from startup to being multimillionaires, teaching people how to get time freedom and financial freedom through the system. Critical thinking, document creation, making it, putting it into, or organizing everything in their head to building it into a franchisable, scalable business. Like one of his businesses has like 500 franchises. That’s just one of the companies or brands that he works with. So, amazing guy, Elon Musk, kind of like smart guy. He kind of comes off sometimes as socially awkward, but he’s so brilliant and he’s taught me so much. When I say that. Clay doesn’t care what people think when you’re talking to him. He cares about where you’re going in your life and where he can get you to go. That’s what I like him most about him. He’s like a good coach. A coach isn’t just making you feel good all the time. A coach is actually helping you get to the best you. Clay has been an amazing business coach. Through the course of that, we became friends. My most impressive thing was when I was shadowing him one time, we went into a business deal and listened to it. I got to shadow and listen to it. When we walked out, I knew that he could make millions on the deal and they were super excited about working with him. He told me, he’s like, I’m not going to touch it. I’m going to turn it down because he knew it was going to harm the common good of people in the long run. The guy’s integrity just really wowed me. It brought tears to my eyes to see that this guy, his highest desire was to do what’s right. And anyways, just an amazing man. So anyways, impacted me a lot. He’s helped navigate. Anytime I’ve gotten nervous or worried about how to run the company or navigating competition and an economy that’s like, I remember we got closed down for three months. He helped us navigate on how to stay open, how to get back open, how to just survive through all the COVID shutdowns, lockdowns. I’m Rachel with Tip Top K9, and we just want to give a huge thank you to Clay and Vanessa Clark. Hey, guys. I’m Ryan with Tip Top K9. Just want to say a big thank you to Thrive 15. Thank you to Make Your Life Epic. We love you guys. We appreciate you and really just appreciate how far you’ve taken us. This is our old house. Right. This is where we used to live a few years ago. This is our old neighborhood. See? It’s nice, right? So this is my old van and our old school marketing. And this is our old team. And by team, I mean it’s me and another guy. This is our new van with our new marketing and this is our new team. We went from four to 14 and I took this beautiful photo. We worked with several different business coaches in the past and they were all about helping Ryan sell better and just teaching sales, which is awesome, but Ryan is a really great salesman. So we didn’t need that. We needed somebody to help us get everything that was in his head out into systems, into manuals and scripts and actually build a team. So now that we have systems in place, we’ve gone from one to 10 locations in only a year. In October 2016, we grossed 13 grand for the whole month. Right now it’s 2018, the month of October. It’s only the 22nd. We’ve already grossed a little over 50 grand for the whole month and we still have time to go. We’re just thankful for you, thankful for Thrive and your mentorship and we’re really thankful that you guys have helped us to grow a business that we run now instead of the business running us. Just thank you, thank you, thank you, times a thousand. The Thrive Time Show, two-day interactive business workshops are the highest and most reviewed business workshops on the planet. You can learn the proven 13 point business systems that Dr. Zellner and I have used over and over to start and grow successful companies. We get into the specifics, the specific steps on what you need to do to optimize your website. We’re going to teach you how to fix your conversion rate. We’re going to teach you how to do a social media marketing campaign that works. How do you raise capital? How do you get a small business loan? We teach you everything you need to know here during a two day, 15 hour workshop. It’s all here for you. You work every day in your business, but for two days you can escape and work on your business and build these proven systems so now you can have a successful company that will produce both the time freedom and the financial freedom that you deserve. You’re gonna leave energized, motivated, but you’re also gonna leave empowered. The reason why I built these workshops is because as an entrepreneur, I always wish that I had this. And because there wasn’t anything like this, I would go to these motivational seminars, no money down, real estate, Ponzi scheme, get motivated seminars, and they would never teach me anything. It was like you went there and you paid for the big chocolate Easter bunny, but inside of it, it was a hollow nothingness. And I wanted the knowledge, and they’re like, oh, but we’ll teach you the knowledge after our next workshop. And the great thing is we have nothing to upsell. At every workshop, we teach you what you need to know. There’s no one in the back of the room trying to sell you some next big get-rich-quick, walk-on-hot-coals product. It’s literally we teach you the brass tacks, the specific stuff that you need to know to learn how to start and grow a business. And I encourage you to not believe what I’m saying, and I want you to Google the Z66 auto auction. I want you to Google elephant in the room. Look at Robert Zellner and Associates. Look them up and say, are they successful because they’re geniuses or are they successful because they have a proven system? When you do that research, you will discover that the same systems that we use in our own business can be used in your business. Come to Tulsa, book a ticket, and I guarantee you it’s going to be the best business workshop ever. It wouldn’t give you your money back if you don’t love it. We built this facility for you, and we’re excited to see you. If we go back eight years ago, think about the number of clients you had back then versus the number of clients you have now. As a percentage, what has been the growth over the past eight years, do you think? We’ve got to inspire somebody out there who just doesn’t have the time to listen to their call. It’s like I would go up and down from about $10,000 a month up to about $40,000, but it’s up and down roller coaster. So now we’ve got it to where we’re in excess of 100 clients. That’s awesome. So I would have anywhere from 5 clients to 20 clients on my own with networking, but I had no control over it. Without the systems, you’re going to be victimized by your own business. For somebody out there who struggles with math, let’s say that your average number of clients was 30 and you go to 100. As a percentage, what is that? I have doubled every year since working with you. So I’ve doubled in clients, I’ve doubled in revenue every year. That’s 100% growth every year. We’ve been good friends 7-8 years and I’ve got doubled 5 times. Which is just incredible. I mean the first time you do it, that’s one thing, but when you do it repeatedly, I mean that’s unbelievable. We’re working our blessed assurance off this year to double. We’re planning on doubling again. We’re incorporating some new things in there to really help us do it. But we are going to double again this year. I started coaching, but it would go up and down, Clay. That’s when I came to you, as I was going up and down. And I wanted to go up and up instead of up and down. And so that’s when it needed a system. So creating a system is you have nailed down specific steps that you’re going to take no matter how you feel, no matter the results. You lean into them and you do them regardless of what’s happening. You lean into them and it will give you X number of leads. You follow up with those leads, it turns into sales. Well I tell you, if you don’t have a script and you don’t have a system, then every day is a whole new creation. You’re creating a lot of energy just to figure out what are you going to do. Right. And the best executives, Peter Drucker is a father of modern management, and he said the most effective executives make one decision a year. What you do is you make a decision, what is your system, and then you work like the Dickens to make sure you follow that system. And so that’s really what it’s all about. So with a script here, we have a brand new gal that just came in working for us. She nailed down the script, and she’s been nailing down appointments. Usually we try to get one appointment for every 100 calls. We make 200 to 300 calls a day per rep, and she’s been nailing down five and eight appointments a day. Somebody out there is having a hard time. On their script. So she’s making how many calls a day? She’s making between two and three hundred calls a day. And our relationship is weird in that we do, if someone were to buy an Apple computer today, and or let’s say you bought a personal computer, a PC, the computer is made by, let’s say, Dell. But then the software in the computer would be Microsoft, let’s say, or Adobe or whatever that is. So I basically make the systems and you’re like the computer and I’m like the software. It’s kind of how I would describe our relationship. Tim, I want to ask you this. You and I reconnected, I think it was in the year 2000 and what was it, maybe 2010? Is that right? 2011 maybe? Or maybe further down the road, maybe 2013? 2012. Okay, so 2012. Ok, so 2012 and at that time I was 5 years removed from the DJ business. And you were how many years removed from tax and accounting software? It was about 10, 11 years. We met, how did we meet? What was the first interaction? There was some interaction where you and I first connected. I just remember that somehow you and I went to Hideaway Pizza. Do you remember when we first reconnected? Yeah, well, we had that speaking thing that… Oh, there it was. So it’s Victory Christian Center. I was speaking there. My name is Robert Redmond. I actually first met Clay almost three years ago to the day. I don’t know if he remembers it or not, but I wasn’t working with him at the time. I asked to see him and just ask him some questions to help direct my life, to get some mentorship, but I’ve been working with Clay for now just over a year. The role I play here is a business coach, a business consultant. I work with different businesses, implementing best practice processes and systems that I have learned here by working with Clay. And the experience working here has, to put it real plainly, has been just life changing. I have not only learned new things and have gained new knowledge, but I have gained a whole new mindset that I believe wherever I end up will serve me well throughout the rest of my life. Since working with Clay, I have learned so much. I mean, I would like to say it was everything about business in terms of the different categories. I haven’t learned it all, but I’ve learned all about marketing. I’ve learned about advertising. I’ve learned about branding. I’ve learned how to create a sales process for organizations in any industry. I’ve learned how to sell. I’ve learned how to create repeatable systems and processes and hold people accountable. You know, how to hire people. It’s almost like every aspect of a business you can learn, I have learned a lot in those different categories. And then, again, the mindset that I’ve gained here has been huge. Working here, you can’t be a mediocre person. You are a call to a higher standard of excellence, and then as you’re called to that standard here, you begin to see those outcomes in every area of your life. That standard of excellence that you wanna implement no matter what you’re involved in. I would like to describe the other people that work with Clay are people that are going somewhere with their life. Marshall in the group interview talks about how the best fits for this organization are the people that are goal-oriented. So they’re on their own trajectory, and we’re on our own trajectory, and the best fits are those people where there can be a mutually beneficial relationship, that as we pursue our goals and we help the business pursue those goals, the business helps us pursue our goals as well. And so I say people that are driven, people that want to make something of their lives, people that are goal-oriented, they’re focused, and they’re committed to overcoming any adversity that may come their way. Clay’s passion for helping business owners grow their businesses is, it’s unique in that, I don’t know if there’s anyone else that can be as passionate. You know, whenever a business starts working with Clay, it’s almost as like Clay is running that business in the sense that he has something at stake. You know, he’s just serving them. They’re one of his clients, but it’s as if he is actively involved in the business. Whenever they have a win, he’s posting it all over his social media. He’s shouting it across the room here at Thrive. You know, he’s sending people encouraging messages. He can kind of be that life coach and business coach in terms of being that motivator and that champion for people’s businesses. It’s again unique because there’s no one else I’ve seen get so excited about and passionate about other people’s businesses. The kind of people that wouldn’t like working with Clay are people that are satisfied with mediocrity, people that wanna get through life by just doing enough, by just getting by, people who are not looking to develop themselves, people who are not coachable, people who think that they know it all and they’re unwilling to change. I would say those are the type of people, in short anyone that’s content with mediocrity would not like working with Clay. So if you’re meeting Clay for the first time, the advice I’d give you is definitely come ready to take tons of notes. Every time Clay speaks, he gives you a wealth of knowledge that you don’t wanna miss. I remember the first time that I met Clay, I literally carried a notebook with me all around. I was looking at this notebook the other day, actually. I carried a notebook with me all around and I just took tons of notes. I filled the entire notebook in about three or four months just from being around Clay, following him and learning from him. And then I would say, come coachable. Be open to learning something new, be open to challenging yourself, be open to learning and adjusting parts about you that need to be adjusted. JT, do you know what time it is? 4.10. JT, you’re in the process of building a super successful company. Did you start out with a million dollars in the bank account? No, I did not. Nope, did not get any loans, nothing like that. Did not get an inheritance from parents or anything like that. I had to work for it and I am super grateful I came to a business conference. That’s actually how I met you, met Peter Taunton, I met all these people. So if you’re out there today and you want to come to our workshop, again, you just gotta go to Thrivetimeshow.com You might say, well, who’s speaking? We already covered that. You might say, where’s it gonna be? It’s gonna be in Tulsa, Russell Oklahoma. I suppose it’s Tulsa, Russelham. I’m really trying to rebrand Tulsa as Tulsa, Russelham, sort of like the Jerusalem of America. But if you type in Thrive Time Show and Jinx, you can get a sneak peek or a look at our office facility. This is what it looks like. This is where you’re headed. It’s going to be a blasty blast. You can look inside, see the facility. We’re going to have hundreds of entrepreneurs here. It is going to be packed. Now, for this particular event, folks, the seating is always limited because my facility isn’t a limitless convention center. You’re coming to my actual home office and so it’s going to be packed. Who? You! You’re going to come! Who? You! I’m talking to you. You can get your tickets right now at Thrivetimeshow.com and again, you can name your price. We tell people it’s $250 or whatever price you can afford and we do have some select VIP tickets which gives you an access to meet some of the speakers and those sorts of things and those tickets are $500. It’s a two-day interactive business workshop over 20 hours of business training. We’re going to give you a copy of my newest book, The Millionaire’s Guide to Becoming Sustainably Rich. You’re going to leave with a workbook. You’re going to leave with everything you need to know to start and grow a super successful company. It’s practical, it’s actionable, and it’s TiVo time right here in Tulsa, Russelaum. Get those tickets today at Thrivetimeshow.com. Again, that’s Thrivetimeshow.com. Hello, I’m Michael Levine, and I’m talking to you right now from the center of Hollywood, California, where I have represented over the last 35 years 58 Academy Award winners, 34 Grammy Award winners, 43 New York Times bestsellers. lot of major stars and I’ve worked with a lot of major companies and I think I’ve learned a few things about what makes them work and what makes them not work. Now, why would a man living in Hollywood, California in the beautiful sunny weather of LA come to Tulsa? Because last year I did it and it was damn exciting. Clay Clark has put together an exceptional presentation, really life changing and I’m looking forward to seeing you then. I’m Michael Levine. I’ll see you in Tulsa. Thrive Time Show two day interactive business workshops are the world’s highest rated and most reviewed business workshops because we teach you what you need to know to grow. You can learn the proven 13 point business system that Dr. Zellner and I have used over and over to start and grow successful companies. When we get into the specifics, the specific steps on what you need to do to optimize your website, we’re going to teach you how to fix your conversion rate. You’re going to leave energized, motivated, but you’re also going to leave empowered. The reason why I built these workshops is because as an entrepreneur I always wish that I had this, and because there wasn’t anything like this, I would go to these motivational seminars, no money down, real estate, Ponzi scheme, get motivated seminars, and they would never teach me anything. It was like you went there and you paid for the big chocolate Easter Bunny, but inside of it, it was a hollow nothingness. And I wanted the knowledge. They’re like, oh, but we’ll teach you the knowledge after our next workshop. I encourage you to not believe what I’m saying, and I want you to Google the Z66 auto auction. I want you to Google elephant in the room. Look at Robert Zellner and Associates. Look them up and say, are they successful because they’re geniuses or are they successful because they have a proven system? When you do that research, you will discover that the same systems that we use in our own business can be used in your business. Come to Tulsa, book a ticket, and I guarantee you it’s going to be the best business workshop ever and we’ll even give you your money back if you don’t love it. We’ve built this facility for you and we’re excited to see you. And now you may be thinking, what does it actually cost to attend an in-person two-day interactive Thrive Time Show business workshop? Well, good news, the tickets are $250 or whatever price that you can afford. What? Yes, they’re $250 or whatever price you can afford. I grew up without money and I know what it’s like to live without money. So if you’re out there today and you want to attend our in-person two-day interactive business workshop, all you got to do is go to Thrivetimeshow.com to request those tickets. And if you can’t afford $250, we have scholarship pricing available to make it affordable for you. I learned at the Academy in Kingspoint, New York, acta non verba. Watch what a person does, not what they say. Good morning, good morning, good morning. Harvard Kiyosaki Rich Dad Radio Show. Today I’m broadcasting from Phoenix, Arizona, not Scottsdale, Arizona. They’re close, but they’re completely different worlds. And I have a special guest today. The definition of intelligence is if you agree with me, you’re intelligent. And so this gentleman is very intelligent. I’ve done this show before also, but very seldom do you find somebody who lines up on all counts. And so Mr. Clay Clark is a friend of a good friend, Eric Trump. But we’re also talking about money, bricks, and how screwed up the world can get in a few and a half hour. So Clay Clark is a very intelligent man, and there’s so many ways we could take this thing but I thought since you and Eric are close Trump what were you saying about what Trump can’t what Donald who’s my age and I can say or cannot say well I have to first of all I have to honor you sir I want to show you what I did to one of your books here there’s a name of Jeremy Thorne who was my boss at the time I was 19 years old working at Faith Highway I had a job at Applebee’s, Target, and DirecTV. And he said, have you read this book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad? And I said, no. And my father, may he rest in peace, he didn’t know these financial principles. So I started reading all of your books and really devouring your books, and I went from being an employee to self-employed to the business owner to the investor, and I owe a lot of that to you. And I just wanted to take a moment to tell you thank you so much for allowing me to achieve success. And then I’ll tell you all about Eric Trump. I just want to tell you, thank you, sir, for changing my life. Well, not only that, Clay, thank you, but you’ve become an influencer. More than anything else, you’ve evolved into an influencer where your word has more and more power. So that’s why I congratulate you on becoming. Because as you know, there’s a lot of fake influencers out there, or bad influencers. Yeah. Anyway, I’m glad you and I agree so much and thanks for reading my books. Yeah, that’s that’s the greatest thrill for me today not thrill but Recognition is when people young men, especially come up and say I read your book change my life. I’m doing this. I’m doing this I’m doing this. I learned at the Academy at Kings Point in New York Octa nonverba Watch what a person does not what they say
