Business Coach | Ask Clay & Z Anything

Audio Transcription

The definition of faith means complete trust or confidence in someone or something. Over the past 12 years, I have been teaching people as a business coach out there just like you, how to grow successful companies so they can create both time and financial freedom for their families and that’s great for the people who’ve already implemented the systems, but what about for you are? Are you thriving? I mean, I know tip top canine, one of our business coach clients is now thriving. I know that Derek Research, clinical research there in New Orleans is now thriving. I know that that business coach client Oxi fresh is thriving. I know that shaw homes, it is thriving. I know that Sierra pools is now growing abundantly. I know the score. Basketball is thriving, but what about you? Are you thriving? And if today, for whatever reason you find yourself on the outside looking in and you just have a little bit of doubt and skepticism about our team and our conferences and our methodologies, I think that’s a healthy place to start, but I want to encourage you today that I want you to do your research today.

Make today your research day. Do your. Do your research because that’s important to to trust but verify, but after you verified that the system works, it’s time to take some massive action because vision without execution is absolutely hallucination. We only get one shot at this life and I am passionate about you, but I can’t help you if I don’t get a chance to know you and to meet you, whether it be at one of our in person workshops, whether it be through one on one business coaching, I am here to help you, but I can’t help you if I do not get a chance to know you.

Oh yes. Thrive nation. Welcome back to another exciting good conversation

all about helping you to increase your compensation, but on today’s show we’re going to have a little bit of a different format because I am passionate about pushing through the doubt cloud that is surrounding somebody out there. They’re sitting there, somebody out there who has a business, I’m not sure who you are, but you have a company and your company is not doing well and you have not grown in a long time. You’re, you’re barely making ends meet. You’re, you’re working 80 hours a week, you’re not getting a lot of sleep. I ended up making a lot of money. Right? And then you see guys like Dr Zeller and I who built multimillion dollar companies and you’re saying, how come you guys seem to have all the success and I don’t. Well, it’s probably one of two things that is being your Achilles heel as it relates to your financial success.

Either a, you don’t know what to do, or B, you’re choosing not to do it. So again, do you do not know what to do or are you just choosing not to do it? So let me give you some free stuff to start off the show. If you go to thrive time show.com and you download the start here book, it’s free, it’s free, it is free. That’s how much it costs. It’s free to download. You get the Ebook, that is the proven systems, processes, checklists, that’s everything that Dr z and I have used to build 13 multimillion dollar companies. It’s all right there. You can download it for free, but you got to read it, but you can download it for free, but you got to read it or if you want the magazine version a, the magazine, more of the condensed version or the highlighted version.

You could download the boom book, the boom book. It is yours to download for free at thrive time. Show.com. But clay, I don’t know, I just feel like if you’re gonna give something away. You know for three, it’s probably you get what you pay for, you probably get what you pay for that. Why I’m not downloading it for free because it would require me actually doing it and I will get my hopes up and then I download it and I get frustrated. No, it’s there for you for free. Why? Well, I’m 30. I’m 38 now. I’m 38. I just turned 38. I turned 38 today. I’m 38 years old today. Dr [inaudible] 53, we’re going to be dead soon, so we want to help you achieve success, but we cannot help you if you do not take massive action. So I’m trying to push through, sort through work through the doubt cloud, what the doubt cloud, what’s the doubt cloud.

It’s where people just have doubt and skepticism and it’s good to have doubt and skepticism because there are so many charlatans, so many, uh, uh, scammers, somebody youtube, get rich quick schemes out there. There are so many seminars, so many radio and talk show host. So many books written by so called Gurus who’ve never built anything of substance. There’s all those things out there. There are people that are just looking to, to help themselves by screwing you. And I get it. And that’s where our coaching program is month to month. What that’s are our coaching program is month to month. Some people get into the program and they go, you know what? This isn’t a good fit for me, which is why we do it. 13 point assessment before even deciding whether to take you into the program, because we might say in the 13 point assessment, you know you’re not a good fit for us.

What? Yeah, you have to be a diligent doer to actually implement the systems. Just knowing what to do, being just the smartest person on campus. Does it translate into success? Thomas Edison once wrote, he said, vision without execution is hallucination. You’re illuminating. We are hallucinating. If we believe we’re going to have success just as a result of buying a bunch of books and reading the first three chapters, we have to implement the systems and that’s what our entire business coaching program is about, is helping you to implement what you’re learning, but you know what the problem is going to be. The problem is going to be feelings. Nothing more than few Lang’s. A lot of people don’t feel like firing somebody, but that’s going to have to happen. If you implement the system. A lot of people don’t feel like writing content for their website to get to the top of search engines, but you’re going to have to do it to implement the system.

A lot of people don’t feel like asking for the deal and the rejection that often ensues when someone says no, but you’re going to have to push through those emotions. You’re gonna have to push through those emotions if you’re going to have success. Martin Luther King Jr once wrote, he said, what Martin Luther King Jr once wrote the famous, you know, minister, the iconic civil rights leader he wants said, faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase. Well, I don’t have that kind of faith. I Love Martin Luther King Jr. I’m a big fan of what he did, but I don’t have that kind of faith. I need to see proven examples that my business coach mind can handle to know that what I’m being taught actually works, uh, that that’s important for me. You know, Robert Greene, the bestselling author of the book of mastery, a 48 laws of power, the 50th law he wants roddy.

He said in the future, the great division will be between those who have trained themselves to handle these complexities and those who are overwhelmed by them, those who can acquire skills and discipline their minds and those who are irrevocably distracted by all the media around them and can never focus long enough to learn. That’s what our program Is about. We teach you proven systems, but you got to focus, which means you have to focus on the core tasks until success. You’ve got to focus on your core tasks until success. To quote elon musk, he wants wrote, I don’t spend my time pontificating about high concept things. I spend my time solving engineering and manufacturing problems. Again, he says, I don’t spend my time pontificating about high concept things. I spend my time solving engineering and manufacturing problems, and that’s what I do. That’s what I do, that that’s what the companies that I work with have success.

That’s why clay stairs has gone from being a school teacher to a millionaire speaker, consultant guy. That’s why so many of my clients have had massive success because I teach you the proven systems that you can use. They’re gonna help you on lock the success you’ve been seeking for a long time. So on today’s show, I’m going to queue up a barrage of testimonials from real people out there just like you and I would encourage you to look them up to maybe call them up to verify their real and then book your tickets to our next in person. ThrIve time show workshop. You’ve been putting it off long enough. Cold call. These people verify their real. Make sure that you are convinced that they do in fact have the success that you’ve been seeking, that they have in fact implemented what we’ve taught them, that they are in fact real people with real results and that you have faith that you too can implement the systems because if you have complete trust and confidence that it will work for you and you implement the system.

It’s gonna work. You’re gonna have six. You’re going to have success, but you need to quit running around asking yourself, I don’t know. I don’t know if it’s gonna work for me. You got to get to a place of faith today, which I think it would be a logical for you to have faith in something unless you could prove it as it relates to business. So call these people, verify they are real. And now that need to do here comes to buffet of testimonials from real people out there just like you today is your day to take the first step into begin thriving.

Hi, I’m aaron with shaw homes. I first heard about clay through a mortgage lender here in town who had told me what a great job he had been doing for them and uh, actually noticed he was driving the lamborghini all of a sudden. So I was willing to listen. Uh, in my career, I’ve sold a little over $800,000,000 in real estate. So honestly I thought I kinda knew everything about marketing and, um, homes. And then I met clay and my perception of what I knew and what I could do definitely changed after doing $800, million in sales of roughly 15 year career. I really thought I knew what I was doing. I’ve been managing a large team of salespeople for the last 10 years here with business coach client shaw homes. And I mean, we’ve been a company that’s been in business for 35 years. We’ve become one of the largest builders in the tulsa area.

And that was without clay. So when I came to know clay, I really thought, man, there’s not much more I need to know, but I’m willing to listen. The interesting thing is our internet leads from our website has actually in a four month period of time, has gone from somewhere around 10 to 15 leads in a month to a hundred and 80 internet leads in a month. Just from the few things that he showed us how to implement that I honestly, probably never would have come up with on my own. So, uh, I got a lot of good things to say about the system that clay in place with us.

I needed another one. I just, I just don’t know whether it’s true.

My name is Elizabeth Walker. I’m from tulsa, Oklahoma. I own a business and nook and cranny. home keeping llc. I heard about the drive time conference on the radio show. I was looking to learn pretty much anything there is to learn about business. I’m a new business owner less than a year, so I really needed to know everything about everything. I have learned how to implement systems from hiring to the actual day to day systems in the company. I liked that the workshop gave tangible systems, but it was very entertaining and interactive plays. Presentation style was energetic. It was exciting and it gave me hope that there’s actually a lot of success still to be done in my business. The atmosphere was energizing and creating a nothing boring about it. It was absolutely exciting. While we’re not sitting in chairs grouped all together and huddled, looking at powerpoints all the time, we were in a nice comfortable area. We had plenty to drink. We could get up and move around if we needed to. We could interact with each other. People are missing out on concrete examples of how to run their daY to day business. Very simple things and maybe that’s the biggest thing I’ve learned is that this can be simple and I think that’s what they’re missing out on

thrive nation. If you have been on the fence about whether to attend our conference or whether to implement the proven systems that we teach each and every week. Today show is going to be the face building doubt, killing show that you have been looking foR. Just check out this testimonial from a great lady out there by the name of cat. Her company is called barbee cookies. We were able to help her almost double the size of the company in eiGhteen short months. Actually, we grew more than doubled within 18 short months. Unbelievable.

This year’s sales for this week

is the same week last year. Do you see the difference?

I can’t really tell. One is. Michael, can you. Can we just want to get it? Jason, could you kind of pull this end maybe just so you can see it. It’s kind of pull it that way. It’s just the link that’s more of a lead. Can’t tell that the link. It’s hard to tell. Okay. So that was last year. Sales

and the total is $4,711 and seventy three cents. Same week. This year, 2015. The total is and read it. My goal.

One 11,300. 13 50. oh,

unbelievable.

Yeah, but clay, I just don’t know. I have a different kind of business and I’m just not sure who it’s going to work for me. I’m a real estate photographer. I do photography for real estate. You don’t understand. My business is so different.

Hey, what’s going on? Thomas? Crossing a owner and founder of full package media and dallas, Texas. Uh, I’ve been a coaching client with clay clark since the beginning of our business. We started about a year ago, august of last year. I had no clients, no idea what we’re doing. No clue. Really what was going on. And now we’ve grown to where we’ve got six photographers. Got office space here. Um, I’d been in sales person that works for us full time developing an online system and a lot of that growth we attribute to clay helping us and there’s so many things that.

Nope, I mean, this stuff is not revolutionary. It’s not this crazy walk on hot coals and all this stuff. Uh, it’s just real real stuff. And like group interviews, we were totally against group interviews. We were like, no, we’re different and we’re special and we need to do one on one interviews so we can find good quality candidates and not just to kind of do this group interview thing. And we tried that and failed miserably. we did group interviews. Now we do them every two weeks. Uh, and it’s, it’s awesome. It works good. We’ll always have kind of influx of new people that we can try and get going. Um, he’s helped us a lot with our website, a graphic design. Seo. Seo is another thing that I thought before I started this business and before clay, that was it. It was kind of a, a joke or something that only your apples of the world and amazon get to the top of the, of google. Um, but clay said, no, just do these things, um, follow these steps and you’ll get there. And I think now he’s looked today and we’Re a number two for dallas real estate photography. We don’t believe that you can look. UH, so we’re getting to the top of there. That’s really cool. it’s, it’s really awesome to get leads that people will call you and say, hey, found you on google. Um, and we want to hear about your services. So that’s really great. Um, I’d say

there’s nobody out there that’s not a good coaching client for clay, uh, anyone who, regardless of the business, it’s not about what the businesses, what the specialty is. It’s about following the steps during what he says. Uh, you know, it’s, it’s a good thing, an hour a week and it gets you on track and keeps you kind of in line with what you’re doing and what you shouldn’t be doing. Um, and it’s good to kind of give you some flow in future goals of your business. And I remember our first meeting, we set our goals and our goal is to do 16 shoots a week. Um, and at the time me and my business partner slash girlfriend gretchen were like, oh, that’s never going to do 16 a week. That’s just like crazy. Uh, and today we’re doing

nine a and we did about 54 last week. So, uh, he’s helped us grow, you know, when you put it in a lot of hours, a lot of hard work as well, but if you follow his steps and do it, he do it. He says there’s a lot of principles that he’s kind of taught and instilled in us that help us. So, uh, yeah, click clark is the way to go. I want to venture out to find someone else that’d be more expensive and a lot more fluff and no, no real actual work and things to get your business growing. So that’s the way to go. Thanks

clay. I sell pizza. I’m not a real estate photographer, right? So pizza and I live in Florida and I have an ocean view and my restaurants. it’s more competitive in my business coach industry and you could never possibly understand the, the, the profundity of the complexities of surrounding my business and me.

Hi trisha. Rich company from satellite beach, Florida. The winds we’ve had since we started with 15 completed group interviews. We were fully staffed. We’ve received over 100 google reviews, increasingly google rating and we now have more money in the bank and we’ve ever had.

Well, I trained dogs. I don’t sell pizza near the coast and Florida. I, I sell. I train dogs in boise, Idaho. I train dogs in south lake, Texas. I trained dogs in Oklahoma city. I train dogs in the Washington dc area. I train dogs in Arizona. I, I, I’m different.

I’m rachel with tip top canine and we just,

I want to give a huge thank you to clay. Vanessa clark, the guys. I’m ryan would tip top canine. Just want to say a big thank you to thrive 15. Thank you. To make your life epic. We love you guys. We appreciate you and really just appreciate how far you’ve taken us. This is our own house where we used to live. This is their old neighborhood, right? So this is my old van and our old school marketing and this is our old team and by team I mean it’s been another guy

with our new neighborhood.

This is our new van with our new marketing initiatives or new team. We went from four to 14 and I took this beautiful. Now we worked with several different business coaches in the past and they were all about helping ryan still better and I’m just teaching sales, which is awesome, but ryan is a really great salesman so we didn’t need that. We needed somebody to help us get everything that was in his head out into systems, into manuals and scripts and actually build a team. So now that we have systems in place, we’ve gone from one to 10

locations and only a year in October, 2016. We’ve heard us 13 grand for the whole month right now. Two thousand 18 the month of october. It’s only the 22nd. We’ve already grows to a little over 50 grand for the whole month and when we still have time to go, we’re just thankful for you, thankful for thrive and your mentorship and we’re really thankful that you guys have helped us to grow a business that we run now instead of the business running us. Just. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Times a dollars. So we really just want to thank you

clay and thank you vanessa for everything you’ve done. Everything you’ve helped us with. We love you guys.

Put clay. I’m a real estate agent. I’m not a dog trainer. I. I am a real estate agent. It’s different. My industry is different. You don’t understand.

My name is daniel sprick and I am the founder of disparate realty group here in tulsa, Oklahoma. After being a stay at home mom for 12 years and my three kids started school and they were in school full time. I was at a crossroads and trying to decide what, what do I want to do? My degree and my background is in education, but after being a mom and staying home and all of that, I just didn’t have a passion for like I once did. My husband suggested real estate. He’s a home builder, so real estate and home building go hand in hand and we just rolled with it. I love people. I love working with people. I loved the building relationships, but one thing that was really difficult for me was the business side of things, the processes and the advertising and marketing. I knew that I did not have what I needed to make that what it should be. So I reached out to clay at that time and he and his team have been extremely instrumental and helping us build our brand, help market our business, our agents, the homes that we represent. Everything that we do is a direct line from clay and his team and all that they’ve done for us.

We launched our brokerage are real estate brokerage eight months ago and in that time we’ve gone from myself and one other agent to just this week we signed on our 16th agent. Um, we have been blessed with the fact that we, right now have just over 10 million and pending transactions three years ago I never would have even imagined that I would be in this role that I’m in today building a business, having 16 agents, but I have to give credit where credit’s due and clay and his team and the business coaching that they’ve offered us has been huge. It’s been instrumental in what we’re doing. Don’t ever limit your vision when you dream big, big things happen.

What clay? I, you don’t understand. You don’t get it. You don’t get to see my industry is so different than everybody else. I am in the pest control business and it is so different. Pest control is entirely different than real estate

to the number of new customers that we’ve had is up 411 percent over last year. We are jared and Jennifer Johnson. We own platinum pest and lawn and are located in awasa, Oklahoma. And we have been working with thrive for business coaching for almost a year now.

Yeah. So, so what we want to do is you want to share some wins with you guys, uh, that, that we’ve had by working with thrive. Um, first of all, um, we’re on the top page of google now. Okay. Um, I just want to let you know what type of accomplishment this is. Our competition, orkin terminex, they’re both at one point $3,000,000,000 companies. They both have two to 3000 pages of content I’m attached to your website, so it basically go from a virtually nonexistent on google on top, on the top page is really saying something, um, but let’s come by being diligent to the systems that the thrive has about beat by being consistent and diligent on, on doing a podcast and stay on top of those podcasts. Um, to really help we’ve given up on what they’re listening and ranking there with google.

And also we’ve been trying to get google reviews, you know, asking our customers for reviews and now we’re the highest rated and most reviewed peston company in the tulsa area. And that’s really helped with our conversion rate and the number of new customers that we’ve had is up 411 percent over last year.

Wait, say that again. How much are we at 411 percent. So 411 percent. Um, we’re up with, with our new customers are amazing, right?

So not only do we have more customers calling in, we’re able to close those deals at a much higher rate than we were before. Right now our closing rate is about 85 percent. And that’s largely due to that, first of all, like our google reviews that we’ve gotten. People really see that our customers are happy, but also we have a script that we follow. And so when customers call in, they get all the information that they need. Uh, that script has been refined time and time again. Uh, it wasn’t a one and done deal. We, it was a system that we, that we followed with, thrive in, in the refining process. And that has obviously, um, the 400, 11 percent shows that, that, that, that system works.

Yeah. So here’s a big one for you. So last week alone, our booking percentage was 91 percent. We actually booked more deals and more new customers last year than we did the first five months, or I’m sorry that we book more deals last week than we did the first five months of last year before we worked with thrive. So again, we book more deals last week, then the first five months of last year. It’s incredible. But, but the reason why we have that success by implementing the systems that thrive has taught us and helped us out with

some of those systems that we’ve implemented our group interviews that way we’ve really been able to, uh, come up with a really great team. Um, we’ve created and checklists and everything gets done and it gets done right. We, it creates accountability. Uh, we’re able to make sure that everything gets done properly both out in the field and also in our office. Um, and also doing the podcast, like jared had mentioned, that has really, really contributed to our success. But that like, is it the diligence and consistency and doing those in that system? Has really, really been a big blessing in our lives and also, um, you know, it’s really shown that we’ve gotten the success from following those systems.

So before working with thrive, we were basically stuck, really no new growth, um, with our, with our business and we’re in a rut and we didn’t know

the last three years our customer base and pretty much stayed the same. We weren’t drinking, but we weren’t really growing either.

Yeah. And so we didn’t, we didn’t really know where to go, what to do. I had to get out of this rather we’re in, but thrive helped us with that and you know, they implemented those systems that they tossed those systems. They taught us the knowledge that we needed in order to succeed. Now it’s been a grind. Absolutely. It’s going to grind this last year. Um, but we’re, we’re, we’re getting those fruits from that hard work and the diligent effort that we’re able to put it into it. And um, so again, we were in red, thrived, helped us get out of that rut. Um, and, uh, and if you’re thinking about, I’m working with, right? quit thinking about and just do it, do the action and you’ll get the results. It will take hard work and discipline. Um, but, but, uh, but that’s what it’s going to take in order to in order to succeed. So I would just want to give a big shout out to thrive. The big thank you out there. To thrive, we wouldn’t be where we’re at, where we’re at now. Um, without their help.

I’m a property manager. Okay. And as a property manager, my industry is entirely different than pest control.

I name even sean [inaudible] and I’ve worked with clay clark for about a year now. I would describe clay’s, uh, the experience with clay as, as something that is really unique and phenomenal. Just the systems and processes that they have in place that help you put in place has been really instrumental in helping us grow our business. It’s been real phenomenal growth this year. The weekly meeting, uh, helps you stay on track, uh, again, to follow the systems and processes that the clay puts in place. Uh, for me personally, I enjoy the weekly meetings. It’s kind of like a shot in the arm of adrenaline, just want to go out there and get after it and work hard and get things done. as far as action items that client is team has provided for us, it’s a action items as far as getting google reviews. I’m following up with our leads. I’m just the systems again that, that everyday grind of doing the same thing over and over and being consistent. I would say partially for me. Um, I would say that I would recommend [inaudible] to anyone. I think what makes thrive 15 so unique is that not only are they your business coach, but I truly feel like a sense of a partnership there. So I, I truly feel like clay and his team or a business coach partner in your business to help you grow that business and wants you to succeed.

Yes. Yes. But I’m a doctor.

I’m like, I’m a guy. I, I literally am a doctor. Okay. These other people are not doctors. I’m a doctor. Therefore it’s different for me. Well, let’s examine the dr. Chad edwards. I started a business because I couldn’t work for anyone else. I do things my way. I do what I think is in the best interest of the patient. I don’t answer an insurance companies. I don’t answer to large corporate organizations. I answered to my patient and that’s it. My thought when I opened my clinic was I can do this all myself. I don’t need additional outside help. In many ways. I mean, I went to medical school, I can figure this out, but it was a very, very steep learning curve. Within the first six months of opening my clinic, I had a $63,000 embezzlement. I lost multiple employees. Clay helped us weather the storm of some of the things that are just a lot of people experienced, especially in the medical world.

He was instrumental in helping with the specific written business plan. He’s been instrumental in hiring good quality employees using the processes that he outlines for getting in good talent, which is extremely difficult. He helped me in securing the business loans. He helped me with web development and search engine optimization. We’ve been able to really keep a steady stream of clients coming in because they found us on the web with everything that I encountered. Everything that I experienced, I quickly learned it is worth every penny. They have someone in your team that can walk you through and even avoid some of the pitfalls that are almost invariable in starting your own business. I’m dr Chad edwards and I own the revolution health and wellness clinic.

Clay, you’re missing the whole deal entirely. okay. I deal with brick and mortar. I installed pools and is a guy who installs pools. Everything is different for me. There’s water everywhere. For one, uh, there’s a big overhead. Cashflow could be an issue. I have to manage a lot of people. It’s just different.

Hey there. Cody was sierra pools and spas. Just a few, um, system wins that I’ve had that marshall and thrive 15 has really helped me with. Uh, one thing, uh, in construction, a construction manager. I mean, he used to call me all the time. One thing that marshall implemented that, uh, that are recommended that, uh, that we have a set time that he calls me every day, um, you know, he’d call me constantly and I never gave him a time like, hey, this is when you can call me kind of thing. So he was probably afraid to call me. um, but I set a time every day at 11:00 AM that he calls me with all the updates and stuff like that. So that really helped. So far. He doesn’t call me as much anymore. Um, so that, that kind of gives them. I made a joke out of it, you knoW, that’s kind of like our time that we spend together at 11:00 AM every day that he gives me on the updates.

Now another system when that I just dreaded, uh, was, uh, calling the clients everyday to um, give them an update on their whole process. I don’t like being called everyday but some. So I, I really didn’t like this, uh, this idea at first, but I have to say at the end of it, uh, it’s really helped. It’s really helped me feel better about the process and definitely helps them see the vision of, of the project. Uh, and they, they’re always in the know. They always know what’s happening. So, uh, at first I was real hesitant of it, but now I see the benefit of it. It’s really help help. Um, it’s really helped our process and I don’t have to feel stress about, you know, the clients are going to be angry at me. They always know what’s going on. So it’s really helped them a lot.

Uh, we do the hiring process to every wednesdays, the group interviews, this is another thing was real hesitant on doing. I just thought it was going to take a lot of time out of our week. Um, but really it’s really been a really good, you know, just kind of winging out the people that we know that we’re not to hire, you know, we can even show up to a meeting. Um, but, uh, it’s, it’s really helped us instead of. I would have been at first, if I didn’t know about this system, I would have been frustrated in real stressed out, you know, trying to find time for people that say they can’t make it at a certain time, but you know, we just come in and say, hey man, we just do interviews wednesday 5:00 PM and just kind of leave it at that. Um, another thing we use, um, that’s been really helpful.

It’s just putting everything on a calendar. uh, we put all our, uh, I just put everything that, that I’m doing for the week or the next week or so. I just put all on a calendar so I can see everything on there. uh, it wasn’t really an organized person. I didn’t ever use a planner in school. Uh, so this has really helped, really helped. Um, kind of seeing the whole vision of it. I know that was longer than 30 seconds, but that’s two and a half minutes of me complimenting the, all the good systems and stuff that I’ve been putting into play that’s been really helping us out

play this play tron. Listen, it’s different for me because I’m a pastor. I pastor a church in pastoring a church. Let me tell you that running a nonprofit is way different from running a business.

My name is kelly going, so I’m the lead pastor of faith church in tulsa, Oklahoma. Well, I first heard about thrive 15 from my wife. She was actually working with clay and then some other people that I knew that had been working with him and play reached out to me and I came in for an initial visit and thought this is really something that would benefit us as a church. I don’t have the money for staff members to run these kinds of things. So having plaY as a mentor and as a coach was really something that I was interested in. We’ve looked into hiring people to do our media stuff and consulting for us, but it would cost us, I don’t know, three or $4,000 a month to hire someone to do this full time and then to be able to get the coaching that clay has a.

I couldn’t hire someone to do that for me. This is a great situation for us. We have a weekly meeting where I’d come in and we’d just collaborate, play helps me with ideas and coaches me through processes that we’re doing with staffing and hiring and managing our ministry. They also take care of all of our graphics, our computer, our website, any ads that we do, any printed pieces that we do, they put those out in a very fast clip so that we have and when we can get them mailed out or get them on our website really quickly. so they do all that kind of stuff for us. now. Another thing, they also do training of our employees and have our media people and if we ever have an issue here in the church, they combined troubleshooting for us. So iT’s really a one stop shop for us.

I would describe thrive 15 as a coaching mentoring network. I’ve pastored small churches most of my life and have put out subpar material websites, uh, tried to bounce things off my wife and anybody else who would listen. But being able to come in and have someone with this kind of experience in this kind of knowhow with this expertise in what they do in the product that they put out. It’s a great situation for us. And so I would just say to those of you who are pastors of smaller churches and you’re trying to get people to do web stuff for you or trying to get people to produce stuff for you, if you’re like me, you do it all yourself. Investing in something like this for the fee that they charge really truly is a, is a win win for them. It’s a win win for me. And uh, I think it would be a great thing for you guys to get involved with.

Pastored two churches. There’s one church in amarillo, Texas and one church in owensboro, Kentucky. I’m a multi campus pastor. It’s different for me.

What I’ve seen from clay and his group at thrive is they’ll give you a simple system and it’s the simple systems are the ones that people can wrap their brain around. They’re the ones that people can work with on a day to day basis and that simplicity brings our with it, so it shocked me how simple some of the stuff is, and at times I’m like, why did not think about workflow creation? Systematic marketing and coaching has helped our church so much. You know the workflow creation is what it really is. Is there going to look and see every moving part of your church, of your ministry? What needs to be done, and it’s going to go up on a massive board, and so now what it does is it takes what you know needs to be done out of your heart and out of your head really takes the pressure of the stress off your shoulders and it puts it on the board or your entire team.

Your ministry can see exactly what you want them to do every day so they know this is the playbook, this is what we’re doing, and then there’s laser sharp accountability with a meeting afterwards. Did it get done or not tell you? It’s. It’s changed the way we execute as a church so fast and it’s produced really an excitement because people, people, they want to get done if they know what they’re supposed to do, a good person wants to get it done. It’s been massive for our team. The systematic marketing. It’s really been like this in the past. We used to market and we would try something. I’ve done everything, billboards, you know, add some mailers, internet, facebook, but we would run something for so long and then we wouldn’t see that it was producing the results we want. Instead of staying consistent, we would jumped to another horse, then we would jump to another horse.

And what systematic marketing does is it makes you pick some things and stick with it. And I’m already seeing just after just a few months, you know, I’ve been working with clay since october about six months ago. I can already see just the trajectory going up. People are finding out about us, our number of visitors are going up. I can see the marketing working in it. It’s just an approach that makes sense. And then the coaching is massive and I think having a coach that looks and sees what you’re doing and can come help you make small adjustments, I believe those small tweaks, once he gets everything set up, those small tweaks can make massive differences. And a great business coach doesn’t even have to play your sport, right? It doesn’t even have to do what you do. A coach has an eye to see things that you can’t see or to see it from a different angle and just having that extra eye on what I do and just a, have you thought about this?

It’s making all the difference in the world. What clay clark and his team can provide for your church that, that, uh, you can’t do in house and I can’t do in house. Well, what’s been massive for me is that that search engine optimization, how to get to the top of google, uh, taking care of, of transcribing all of my sermons to drive me up the list on google stuff that I don’t think about and I don’t have time to do. I’ve got all these things I have to do as a pastor, right? I have sermons to preach. I have a staff to manage, have a budget to take care of. I got a sick folk to see about the. I have a team that has to do that. You know how it is. You got to married people, you’ve got to bury people. We’re never going to stay in a dark room with the keyboard optimizing our, our google of presence and these guys do that kind of thing for you.

Also, if you’re at a, you know, a couple hundred member church, I remember how hard it was, but back in the day to take care of the website needs to come up with graphic design and these guys are available to you for for a sermon slides getting that kind of stuff done where you can have a sharp looking, a presentation of the gospel and it takes it off. You puts it on them at a very reasonable price. I really believe clay clark and his team can help a church with limited resources in a big way. I know what it’s like to be a church of limited resources. My wife and I, we walked into a town where we didn’t know anybody. We had a bible and we just had a few bucks in our pocket and somebody introduced us to a couple of families. We started going there so I know what it’s like to be a church of two and I don’t know what it’s like to be a church of 2002 different canvases now, a thousand a piece and everywhere in between.

So I love. I love churches in every level. I believe god wants them all to grow and and I think about the needs I had back in the day, the lack of direction I had met. I was working 80 hours a week all the time, but a lot of times I was a shotgun instead of arriving. I think. I think when you start you can really hone in with the right coaching. You can get a lot of your different needs met in one place. Instead of having somebody on marketing and somebody on showing you how to do systems and somebody on graphic design thrive can do a lot of that for you at a very reasonable cost. I think it’s a great place to invest in, in the life of your ministry. Tony, I think you can get the results you want with the coaching here faster than any other way. It’s going to be powerful,

but I’m asian and I’m an orthodontist and it’s just different when you’re an asian orthodontists. Eggs are so different.

My name is joe ly and I’m with kirkpatrick and minor orthodontics that kirkpatrick and la orthodontics. We create beautiful smiles by straightening kids’ teeth and adults teeth. The services that clay and his team provide would be something like how to get more customers into my business and get the message out that on the best orthodontist and tulsa, he does that by social media. We get the word out through videos and pictures. Being disciplined, pop my awareness as he would always say. Also how to reach out and create that bond with my referring doctors. He helped me get somebody in house to go out and meet dr. Helped me kind of continue building that relationship while I do the work website. The website’s so measure really important. We get several patients through our website and what he’s doing is he’s a, there’s a certain way that you want your website to look at certain content because you won’t call to action items in your website in.

We didn’t have that before, so now we get seven or eight new patients just through the web. Sidelong clay and his team are. I would just say they’re over the top. I mean, nothing is too big. Nothing’s too grand for clay and his staff and his team. I mean, he says boom. He really means it. I mean, they over overdeliver really to be honest with you. And they come up with ideas that are just top notch and if you don’t like something great, move on and we’ll figure out something that works for your style and your identity. But, uh, I would just say the biggest thing for his team as they over delivered liver clay and his team helped kind of create that culture also for your business that hey, we gotta get things done in a timely manner, holds me accountable to do the certain task, can create things in a timely manner.

So there was a sense of urgency that he creates just. And it’s a lot of it’s just there is. And through the asm, he’s always on the go. So it kind of puts you on that same mindset of, hey, let’s get this done. Let’s work hard. But that’s also have fun with it. When I went to orthodontic school, we got zero training on marketing. I’m actually, when we got out of school, when I got out of school 18 years ago, it was kind of taboo to actually do any marketing. The most you could do is put your name in the yellow pages. And so now it’s pretty common knowledge and pretty mainstream to go ahead and get your name out there, tell her about your story, who you are, what you’re about. If you don’t do that, you’re, it’s a leg of your business that is going to, that you’re lacking behind because you can be the best orthodontist or the best whatever, but if people don’t know that, then you’re going to be.

You won’t get the customers coming in. I meet with clay and his team. I’m on every friday about 11:00 and I’m to be honest with you, at the beginning I wasn’t that thrilled with it. Coming in every week just kind of seemed like a lot, but for me I find the marketing aspect interesting. I enjoy it. I love working with clay. I think it’s mainly the reason why I’ve kind of built a relationship with him. I kind of think it got to a level now. We’re pretty good friends and so to me it’s enjoyable. I really enjoy their creativity and how when you put the energy into the work, into how, you know, get everything kind of comes back and works. I’ve worked with clients team for about, I think it’s about three years. Every year has gotten better and things have grown every year. I’ve been running trying to get my wife and her pediatric dentist office and our partners on board with clay.

Um, for awhile I just saw that they were kind of getting stagnant in their practice and times were kind of getting slow for them and they needed more referrals and I knew that clay could definitely help them out by even just one thing which would be changed your website and just by doing that you can get patients very easily. But I don’t think too is that they, you know, they needed to change their culture and their mindset of how to bring in patients and creating a brand as well for them and giving them more of an identity. The whole staff rally for anybody that’s coming out of school or just starting new with a business of any sort, be it medical or anything of that nature. I highly recommend clay helping you create that business model. We’re trained to do what we’re trained to do, but we’re not trained to do the business aspect or the marketing or how to deal with patient or a our staff.

So clay can pretty much do all that, but what I liked the most about clay and his staff is that everything’s in house. I don’t have to go to one place to do my website. I’ll have to go somewhere to do my videos. I don’t have to go in another place to shoot federal graphs somewhere else to do web content or team coaching or entrepreneurship. I’m clay. Pretty much is the total package. Um, he’s really great mentor. So if you’re new and starting a business and you want to avoid all the pitfalls, I would definitely hook up with clay and his team. Someone’s not using clay and his team to help build the business. They’re missing out on a lot. There’s so many details in so many aspects of creating a business that clay really makes it simple, makes it fun, and you learn so much in a short amount of time that I think he’s the best entrepreneur business coach, marketer, you name it, the guy’s in his team’s. Got it all going on.

Clay. I’m not an asian orthodontist. I’m a caucasian canadian. I’m, I’m a. I’m a canadian who has moved to the United States. I played hockey professionally and now I run the tulsa oilers hockey team. I run, I run a pro hockey team. You don’t understand my industry is.

My name is taylor hall. I’m the general manager of the tulsa oilers, professional hockey teams. Our goal every night here at the bok center is to try to fill the seats with, uh, with lots of people and create a, an exciting environment. So when somebody comes to a game, they want to come back working with clay and the staff at thrive, uh, they’ve really helped us in many, many ways. Website and graphic design and video production and a lot of things that go along on a lot of businesses, including ours, doesn’t have a staff for a full time videographer or graphic designer. But the biggest thing that we noticed was the needle mover, more sales, more attendance, uh, more successes in business. We had a record year last season working with clay for the first time. Our average attendance is higher than it’s ever been. Uh, so there was a lot of really cool things that we did and they worked. That’s the nice thing about working with clay and the team over there. It’s just not one person. You get the entire team if you need video, a design and editing and production, they’ve got that if you need graphic design, if you need some coaching your salespeople and call scripts per, uh, they offer all that. Clay was instrumental in helping guiding us and getting us on the right track so that, you know, we could really raise the, raise the bar and become ultra successful. So it’s been an amazing experience for us.

Clay, I install wood flooring. I’m different than everybody else because I am literally on my knees every day, literally on my knees every single day. Installing wood floors. I got splinters. I’m dealing with wood. I’ve got a lot of problems.

We went from expecting maybe 250,000 this year too. We’re at $400,000. Kelsey with candies, wood refinishing business owner at 23. So I’ve been working in this company for about five years now and we started working with thrive not too long ago, um, and we went from expecting maybe 250,000 this year too. We’re at $400,000. That’s what we’re going to hit or exceed. So we’re pretty excited about that. Uh, it’s been pretty much just listening to what they have to say. Their hiring process has just really been incredible as far as finding good quality help and they just the accountability of meEting up with them weekly and uh, like such good inside, uh, the business coach resources that they have for specific business questions. Uh, it’s all been really incredible. It’s been a great experience. So I would recoMmend it to anybody.

Clay, I own a roofing company. It’s different when you’re a roofing company. It’s not the same as being a property manager or a pest control company or a doctor. It’s all different when you’re a rougher. Because my name’s Kevin Lewis and I’m a refer

smartest thing you could ever do, you know, but I always warn people before I, I’ve actually sent people over, but you have to sell out, you have to believe in and when you do, you will see amazing things. It, it, it’s, it’s, it’s been a game changer really has. And I recommend it everybody. I mean everybody needs it. I don’t care. I mean there needs to be, uh, an employee coach to be honest with you. Um, so it, it’s

amazing.

I know it works, but it’s not going to work for me because I have a clinical research company based in new orleans and you just cannot possibly understand the complexities about what I do.

My name is tyler hastings and this is my wife rachel and our company is still richter research out of new orleans. During our time working with thrive when we’ve had numerous successes. When we first started we were working with one physician. We had one research site and we were seeing on average between 10 and 15 patients a week since working with thrive in the last 18 months. And we know for research sites, we work wIth over five physicians in on average, pronouncing over 60 patients per week. Um, recently we’ve been the top enroller worldwide in seven studies, um, which is just incredible. Gets stay wherever we were, you know, two years ago, 18 months ago.

Thrive really differs from the other conferences that we’ve been to and the other kinds of programs that we’ve been through because they actually really practice what they preach and they implement the same systems and the processes that they teach you about and they give you real life examples that have really worked for them and show you what the training, how to implement that yourself. For example, tyler and I actually got the opportunity to come out to tulsa and we’re fortunate enough that the thrive team took us out to some of the businesses that they own and we really got to see in real life, real time some of the systems and processes. and it was just incredible. I’m a real life example of some of the businesses and the things that they’re implementing.

Having a coach is important to us. They act as not only an accountability factor, but there’s someone we can talk to on a daily basis as we go through the problems of running a business that inevitably come up. Um, they, they always understand what we’re going through and they’re always there to, you know, help us or guide us through the problems that we experienced. The best part of our experience working with thrive has just been seeing our relationship grow. So at each step, as our busIness grows, we know they have something else to provide us with, um, they, they’ve got the resources, a weather feed, marketing, graphic design, website development, or even into our accounting practices. Maybe we need a new insurance policy. If they have someone they can connect us with or you know, they have the direct resource we need to speak with for any of the problems we face. someone’s thinking about signing up for the coaching program. I would highly recommend that they call in for a free 30 minute coaching coaching session and see exactly what the team can do for you to speak with someone. I’ll let them know what you’re going through. And I think you’ll find that, you know, regardless of what you need there, someone there that can help you.

Well, in the coaches sport I coached basketball or gymnastics or something else. It’s just different when you’re coaching kids, you know, the, the seasonality of the industry. How could you possibly understand coaching kids in. My name is coach john calvert. I have been alive

two times as long as you. I played basketball at the university of Oklahoma and my father was a high school coach when I got out of college. What I wanted to do is coach that coached in college for about four years. And then I had my son and life changed and my son was terminally ill. He had muscular dystrophy, what’s called new ships at the time I was working for school. I needed to make more money because of all the doctor bills, all that kind of stuff. You got to buy and everything. And so I started doing just a side program with score, just doing a few basketball lessons. my schedule filled up at the time, uh, you know, my son was in a wheelchair. It’s got to be quite A struggle with him and so it was a constant fight everyday of do I work, do I spend my time with him? How much time do I spend with working, but what I learned from all of it is you still got to get your job done.

Well, I’m not a business owner and I’m probably a terrible business owner, a back a couple years ago because I had parents tell me all the time, well, I wish I’d have known about you three years ago where I had never heard of this score. We get that all the time and then doing the finances do it. Just everything that I had to do is eat me alive and take hours every day and so I needed to get smart about doing my business. All of us need a game plan in thrive 15 has helped me tremendously with that game plan. We changed how I was charging. We changed the programs we’re doing. We changed advertisement. We’re doing. We started doing everything smart or the largest basketball facility in this three or four state area. We have people that call us from all over Oklahoma because of our website. My time has been freed up tremendously because I’m not involved in all the little things. It’s just streamlining your business so it’s not taken just all of your time away from your family because I have my wife’s very important to me. My kids, you know, I got to have some of that as well as a business owner if you allow your business to eat you up, but it’s not really worth it. You got to have a value of life as well. We wouldn’t be where we’re at today without thrive 15,

but I sell t shirts and tee shirts. Sales is very tough because the margins are low and the overhead is high and just it’s so different when you’re selling tee shirts.

Thrive community. I’m krista. He sues companies, breakout, creative. I want to tell you a little story. First of all, I came across thrive last june or july, sign up on board and we’ve worked together for the last six or seven months. Let me tell you what’s happened In the last six months. We’ve number one, implemented a comprehensive shop calendar scheduling all of our jobs. Number two, entered time tracking productivity worksheets for every person, which everybody could see. Holding everyone accountable to the team. Number three, we’ve implemented an incoming lead tracking system for leads that come in every week, every month, so we know what’s happening in every stage of the lead cycle. number four, we launched a website, a website that’s generating good results for us. And then last but not least, where we’re at now is, uh, we’re doing sel and what we’re beginning is with google reviews.

Let me be clear. Um, we began with one google review and figure it was from the owners, the previous owner, mother. We’re at 82 reviews on google right now. All of them fivestar. So what’s happening, we’ve doubled our incoming lead tracking our incoming leads. Number two, we just set a record for the biggest january we’ve ever had a. We’ve set records for the best day, the best week, the best month, the best quarter, and the best year, last year, and year to date. It’s only January 30th. We’re up 59 percent over last year. That’s what’s happened. Now a guy liked me, very, very arrogant and very, very hesitant to hire a coach. After all, we all know it all, don’t we? So what I will tell you is that everybody does need a coach. What I will tell you is it’s working. my team is more engaged. We have more leads or making more sales and we’re on the verge of doing something special. So this is breakout creative. I’m krista, he sues. Thank you very much. Robert clay, marshall, the whole thrive community. Appreciate you guys. Look forward for great things to come. Thank you very much.

What clay? I cleaned carpets in Oklahoma. You, you just don’t understand. It’s a large van. I’m cleaning carpets. The carpets cleaned. My industry is different and because my name is nathan and I own a company called complete carpet, you could not possibly help me. This month

we did two over two times as much business like we did last year. We had 200 and eIghty percent of our last year’s numbers in this month. My name is tony and I’m an owner. I’ll compleTe carbon, nathan’s apprentice, I’m owner of just gathered with her mom, do. She does a lot of our management and colleagues and connectIng with the customer her back in advertising. Then I do pretty much all the service connected directly with the customer. We started working with thrive in. Um, I think our first meeting was the end of october, so really november was our first full month of working with the thrive team here just to increase and customers. I’m just been really busy. we’re definitely learning how to manage this growth and to continue to move forward to expand our business. One of the big things I’ve seen personally is that it had been doing this for 20 years and I thought I knew how to do things that I thought that I was just like, this was the best that I can do and thrive has shown that there are some best practice ways and other avenues that you can get things accomplished without having, without running into the same brick wall over and over.

they say, well look, here’s thIs door, here’s this other opportunity. Here’s another way to accomplish the same thing. And those tools have helped free up one tremendous amounts of time to where I’m now focusing on the business and not just always working in the business, but also to be able to stay connected with our customers, to be able to give them a little bit better experience, um, to bring in google leads to bring in connections to where all of our regular advertising we already had. We haven’t changed some of the main basis of our advertising. It’s just now become effective and is working where before it was just kind of hit and miss of what we could accomplish. And now we’ve doubled This month’s revenue compared to last february. And we really haven’t changed a lot except we made everything affective. We made everything work. We stay on top of our customers.

And, and really without the thrive system, we’ve, um, we hadn’t figured out on our own yet. We needed somebody to kind of guide us, show us what it was that we didn’t know we didn’t know yet. And that way we were able to start connecting the dots through things that we thought just didn’t work. And we said, no, it actually would work. Here’s the, here’s the process to do it. and I said, I don’t know, I don’t, I don’t know if it would work in every week and come back and say, look, see it’s working. and then that snowballs into motivation of saying I can’t do this, I can accomplish things. And um, and having that person there each week, having that meeting, that accountability, the ability to track what it is that you’re doing, somebody else who gave, who cares all about what’s going to happen in your business besides yourself has made the completely turn our business around.

For me personally, it feels like the win is knowing that we’re moving forward, we’re doing what needs to be done for the business and that we have both someone that can guide us to do that. But also the business coach accountability on it. I’m connecting with what she said. I think that having that accountability each week has been a huge thing, is really connected. But in a specific goal oriented, when we started with thrive, um, we were looking to do about a 50 percent growth we thought. And at our first meeting he said, nah, I don’t know. and I said, you know, what’s your big thing? What? Like, what’s a big push for you? And I told marshall, I said, you know, I would love to see 50 percent growth. I really don’t think I can do it. I haven’t been able to do it yet. And we are four months later and my goal right now, each month is actually 60 percent growth.

and this month we did two over two times as much business as we did last year. We had 208 percent of our last year’s numbers in this month. And so I, to me that’s one of our biggest wins is the fact that we’re, we’re exceeding by leaps and bounds. What I originally started when we thought it was said in a really audacious goal of saying, you know what will increase by 50 percent. I had a 12 month window samuel in 12 months from now. I hope that we’ve increased by 50 percent. We’re four months in, I’ve increased but double. I’ve increased by 208 percent. And it’s just that to meet that, that makes all of this work worth it. I would absolutely. I think that our time here is extremely valuable and productive and we’re continuing to move in a direction that we want to go and I completely agree with that.

I think that I think every business needs to have somebody behind them that that gives them a second pair of eyes on the things that they’ve been doing. Because you may Think you’re a rockstar, you’re in, you’re nailing it, and you may be, but you don’t realize that there is more growth potential or better ways to become more efficient. and on that side of it, I’ve been able to accomplish so much more than the last three to four months using the same schedule I was doing before. I’ve actually gotten more scheduled time with my family. I’m focusing in on things that matter in my life outside of just the business. And that helps to drive me and push me towards. So I think everybody should at some point take advantage of some offering that thrive has. Whether it be a conference, whether it be a radio, podcasts, it’s, they’re all in school or getting into a one on one coaching, which has helped us tremendously
