I’ve definitely learned a lot about life design and making sure the business serves you. The goal setting, while it’s not like, it’s somewhat basic stuff, making sure you have different goals for every part of your life is super important. Also, the linear workflow. The linear workflow for us in getting everything out on paper and documented is really important. We have workflows that are kind of all over the place. So having linear workflow and seeing that mapped out on multiple different boards is pretty awesome. That’s really helpful for me. The atmosphere here is awesome. I definitely just stared at the walls figuring out how to make my facility look like this place. This place rocks. It’s invigorating. The walls are super. It’s just very cool. The atmosphere is cool, the people are nice, it’s a pretty cool place to be. Very good learning atmosphere. I literally want to model it and steal everything that’s here at this facility and basically create it just on our business side. The play is hilarious. I literally laughed so hard that I started having tears yesterday. And we’ve been learning a lot, which you know we’ve been sitting here we’ve been learning a lot and so the humor definitely definitely helps it breaks it up. But the content is awesome off the charts and it’s very interactive you can raise your hand it’s not like you’re just listening to the professor speak you know the wizard teaches but the wizard interacts and he takes questions so that’s awesome. If you’re not attending the conference you’re missing about three quarters to half of your life. You’re definitely, it’s probably worth a couple thousand dollars. So, you’re missing the thought process of someone that’s already started like nine profitable businesses. So, not only is it a lot of good information, but just getting in the thought process of Blake Clark or Dr. Zellner or any of the other coaches, getting in their thought process of how they’re starting all these businesses, to me, just that is priceless. That’s money. Well, we’re definitely not getting upsold here. My wife and I have attended conferences where it was great information and then they upsold us like half the conference and I don’t wanna like bang my head into a wall. And she’s like banging her head into the chair in front of her. Like, it’s good information, but we’re like, oh my gosh, I wanna strangle you. Shut up and go with the presentation that we paid for and that’s not here there’s no upsells or anything so that’s awesome I hate that it makes me angry so glad that’s not happening so the cost of this conference is quite a bit cheaper than business college I went to a small private liberal arts college and got a degree in business and I didn’t learn anything like they’re teaching here I didn’t learn linear workflows. I learned stuff that I’m not using and I haven’t been using for the last nine years. So what they’re teaching here is actually way better than what I got at business school. And I went what was actually ranked as a very good business school. I would definitely recommend that people would check out the Thrive 15 conference. And on this page, I write, my friend, you must never get out of the entrepreneurial success cycle The cycle is comprised of the following steps define act measure Refine as an entrepreneur. You must constantly define the outcome you want to see Act before you have everything figured out measure the results and refine the process until it is perfected. If you ever feel as though you are not up to this task, you must sell your business or delegate the running of your business to someone who is up to this never-ending task. You must pay close attention to the outcomes you are experiencing as a result of your team’s lead creation efforts so that you can spot the best ways to enhance and improve your sales systems. I don’t care whether we are talking about measuring the results of a sales script, a sales video, an auto-responder email, a podcast, a TV commercial, a mailer, a text marketing campaign, or any other type of marketing and lead generation activity under the sun. You must invest the time needed to measure the results you are getting on a daily basis. I highly recommend that you track the results daily and that your team commits to pivoting, nuancing, and updating your lead generation systems on a weekly basis as dictated by the results that you are seeing. And then once you define and refine and you come up with a, once you define, you act, and measure, and refine, and you come up with a proven system, you need to stick with that system. And that’s called a workflow. What? One more time. That’s the entrepreneurial system creation success cycle. So whenever you’re building a business, there’s a workflow, there’s kind of a flow, there’s kind of a rhythm to it. And so Caleb, if someone was going to, you write search engine content here, but you also understand music. Roughly speaking, how is pop music organized? So there’s an intro, then there’s a verse, then there’s a pre-chorus, then there’s a chorus, then there’s a verse, then there’s a pre-chorus, chorus, bridge, chorus, bigger chorus, ending. Okay, so I’m gonna take notes here because I want to respect your time here, but I want to take notes so you can repeat the flow for pop music. So the flow for the actual workflow for pop music, music that’s on the radio, pop radio music, would be what again? What’s step one? Let’s do intro. Intro, got it. And then what’s next? A verse. Verse, yep. And then we’re going to do a pre-chorus. Pre-chorus. We’re going to do a chorus. Chorus. Yep. And then we’re going to do another verse. Verse, yep. And then we’re going to do another pre-chorus. Pre-chorus, yep. Oh yeah, and we’re going to do another chorus. Yep. Okay, got it. And then we’ve got to have that bridge. Got to have that bridge. Okay, and then what happens? And then we’re going to, let’s do a small chorus. Small chorus. That one’s a lot. And then you go to a big chorus after that. Big, like an amplified chorus? Yeah. And that’s how the pop songs work. And you’ve got to be about three and a half minutes long, right? Yeah, can’t be too long. Okay, so now we’re going to get into entrepreneurship real quick. The flow, the flow. This is what you do if you’re going to build an entrepreneurial system creation success cycle. One, you define what you think is going to work. Two, you act, you actually do something. Three, you measure the results. Four, you refine, so you define, act, measure, refine. That is the way you build a workflow. That’s how you build a system. You define, you act, you measure, you refine. That’s how you build a workflow. And so if you’re going to build a business that works, you have to define what you think is going to work, and then you have to act, then you measure the results, and then you refine. And that is called the entrepreneurial system creation success cycle. That’s what it is. So I want to ask you this. Today, what have you been working on today here in the office? I’ve been writing a lot of search engine content. How many pages of content have you been working on today? If you had to guess, or do you know? I know I wrote 260 articles. So you put out 260 articles today? Yes. And is your head about ready to explode? No, I’m actually feeling good. Really? You did 260 articles of content today? Yeah. And what that does is that allows clients to rank top in Google search results. But somebody has to write the content. So I want to get into this notable quotable from Walter Isaacson, one of the best-selling authors on the planet. He wrote Steve Jobs’ book. He says, progress comes not only in great leaps but also from hundreds of small steps. I think that most people aren’t willing to sit down and write… how many articles did you write today? Like around 260. Most people aren’t willing to do that though. Yeah, no. Why? I don’t know. I was literally wondering that today. So easy. I mean, it takes a lot of time and effort. If it’s easy for you to do it, and you’re wondering why more people don’t do it. Yeah. Yeah, it blows my mind. It blows my mind. And the reason why they’re not willing to do it is just most people I think are looking for a hack or a way to get something for nothing. People are wanting to make money without doing anything. They’re wanting to reap a harvest without sowing any seeds. But I just encourage everybody out there today, if you’re out there today and you want to achieve massive success, if you want to achieve massive success as an entrepreneur, you have to define what you think is going to work. You have to act, then you measure, then you refine. And that is the process of entrepreneurship. But I just wanted to, A, tap into your wisdom about how songs are created, because it’s a similar flow. Each and every pop song you listen to on the radio has a similar flow to it. And building a successful company has a similar flow. But then once you understand the big idea of the flow, you actually have to sit down and work on it. The number of new customers that we’ve had is up 411% over last year. We are Jared and Jennifer Johnson. We own Platinum Pest and Lawn and are located in Owasso, Oklahoma. First of all, we’re on the top page of Google now, okay? I just wanna let you know what type of accomplishment this is. Our competition, Orkin, Terminex, they’re both 1.3 billion dollar companies. They both have 2 to 3 thousand pages of content attached to their website. So to basically go from virtually non-existent on Google to up on the top page is really saying something. But it’s come by being diligent to the systems that Thrive has. By being consistent and diligent on doing podcasts and staying on top of those podcasts to really help with getting up on what they’re listing and ranking there with Google. And also we’ve been trying to get Google reviews, you know, asking our customers for reviews and now we’re the highest rated and most reviewed Pest and Lawn company in the Tulsa area and that’s really helped with our conversion rate and the number of new customers that we’ve had is up 411% over last year. Wait, say that again. How much are we up? 411%. Okay, so 411% were up with with our new customers. Amazing. Right. So not only do we have more customers calling in, we’re able to close those deals at a much higher rate than we were before. Right now our closing rate is about 85% and that’s largely due to first of all, like our Google reviews that we’ve gotten people really see that our customers are happy, but also we have a script that we follow. And so when customers call in, they get all the information that they need. That script has been refined time and time again. It wasn’t a one-and-done deal. It was a system that we that we followed with Thrive and in the refining process. And that has obviously, the 411% shows that that system works. Yeah, so here’s a big one for you. So last week alone, our booking percentage was 91%. We actually booked more people than we did last year. And we did it for the first five months of the first week. And we did it the first five months of last year. From before we were able to watch it live. We did it for more than last year. For five months of the last year. So the flow for the actual workflow for pop music, music that’s on the radio, pop, radio music, starting with a business coach, videographers, photographers, web designers. Back when I graduated dental school in 1985, we had no media advertising. The only marketing that was ethically allowed in everybody’s eyes was mouth-to-mouth marketing. By choosing to use services, you’re looking for. I went to the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. Graduated in 1983. And then I did my Pediatric Dental Residency.
