My name is Joseph Scotch, I’m from New Braunfels, Texas. We heard about the conference through Claystairs, he invited us to come out and just check things out. Me and my dad own our own construction company, we’re both the contractors and we’re just looking at how to improve our marketing and whatever else we can get a hold of. The team’s very professional, very supportive, a lot of really positive energy, and just great overall. It’s a lot of energy,
a lot of energy, a lot of jokes. It’s just a great learning environment. One of the biggest things we learned is about one-sheets, just kind of separating yourself from your competition and getting your name out there. By not attending a workshop, you’re really just missing out
on a wealth of knowledge that these people have years and years of experience.
On today’s show, we celebrate the success of a thriver by the name of Tim Scotch and his company Scotch Construction.
I love Scotch. I love Scotch. Scotchy Scotch Scotch.
Whoa. And now it’s time for Wings of the Week.
Do the bull dance. Get on the floor. You can do it.
All right. And now we’re calling Tim Scotch.
Hello?
Okay, we’re back.
If you could tell me what is your name and what’s the name of your business? Okay, my name is Tim Scotch, and my company is Scotch Construction Incorporated. We’re a custom home builder in Nebrava, Texas. It was probably a God thing. I wasn’t – I was not in a real good place at the time, and the young lady asked me all of the right questions
and basically made me realize where I was, and then she offered a solution.
Wow.
So, I did.
Okay, yeah. So, talk to me a little bit about the leadership initiative, the coaching program that we’ve been involved in. How long have you been going? Has it been like 14, 15 months? Something like that?
Yeah, something like that.
Yeah, about 15 months, I think. Yeah, so what has the program been like? Kind of go in and give us an overview if you were to do a flyover of the last 15 months.
What has it been like?
It’s been very interesting, very eye-opening. The whole thing really kind of centers around our weekly coaching sessions, which are a one-hour phone call. We’ve been to a couple conferences up in Tulsa, but it’s very helpful.
I mean, it’s been really, really good for us, basically helping us turn around a little bit. Yeah, what would you say, Tim, I like the word you said there, it’s been eye-opening. What can you think of like one, at least one spot that was an eye-opener for you?
One thing that stands out is it kind of teaching me to, instead of working in my business, working on my business, taking myself out of the day-to-day operations and that kind of thing.
All right we’re back. We’re breaking down the success of Tim Scotch and Scotch Construction and the coaching of his coach Mr. Clay Stair. Now I want to talk about this. Director Breck, why do you have to have a weekly meeting with a coach? Why is that helpful to have a set time to have a coaching meeting as opposed to a changing
time each week?
If we were changing times, it would become a mess in a hurry. I think the consistency is key on so many things, but definitely having that standing appointment keeps it happening. Otherwise, I don’t think it would happen at all. We probably would have met three times and lost contact altogether.
I’ll say this. With our coaching program, our philosophy that is implemented by Tim Redmond, Clay Stairs, and all of our coaches. The idea of the weekly meeting, I would love to take credit for it. I would love to say, I was hit on the toilet seat and I just, boom, it came right down. What happened is, when I was selling, when I was wrapping up DJConnection.com in 2007, 2008, that kind of thing, I was moving on, exiting the company, and clients were reaching out to me for one-on-one coaching.
A lot of people were reaching out to me. I mean a lot. And I thought, I don’t know what business coaching is. No one ever said that word. They just said, I need help growing my business. Could you do that?
And I thought, okay, I’ll do it. And so they said, how much do you charge? And I said, since I’m independently wealthy. I guess if I able to like my thought nothing you just nothing like nothing like yeah, I’ll go do it So I’m out there coaching people Helping people and it worked and then another person told another person and another person all of a sudden It’s working more and more and more and Vanessa goes, you know, you should probably charge for that
majority of your time doing Yeah But I was kind of in the wilderness at that point because I’d had a bunch of success early on and I was done with my baby that I built, djconnection.com. Then one client said to me, they said, you’re a great business coach. I thought, what is that word?
What is that word you’re saying? They said, business coach. I never heard it that way. Business coach.
I thought, okay.
So I went online and I started researching. Now this is 2009, so let me imitate the computers of 2009. You hit enter and you type in business coach you type in and then you enter and he goes And you wait so I didn’t do a ton of research, but there I started to find rumors of this man who was the business coach of The business coaches the guru the guy who was the true leader in the field his name was Bill Campbell
Now Bill Campbell is now the focus of the book called the trillion dollar business coach. He is he was the business coach of Steve Jobs, the co founder of Apple. He was the business coach of Susan, the CEO of YouTube. He was the business coach of Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon. He was the business coach of Eric Schmidt, the CEO of Google. He was the business coach.
And I found out that he met his clients, Jason, on a weekly basis.
What?
And I thought, well, if the best business coach in the world does that, I probably should too. And I started to discover, he also had a rule that he didn’t have his phone on and you couldn’t have your phone on during that meeting. And Jason, I thought to myself, well, I should probably do that too. And then I read this book called The Ultimate Sales Machine by Chet Holmes.
And I realized Bill Campbell was coaching people that were big business owners. And they had the venture capital and the money needed to get it done. And Chet Holmes was coaching those kind of businesses too. But I realized the average small business owner, I would tell them what to do and this is how it would go. Okay, so what kind of role play Jason? Yeah. All right, so Jason, what you’ll need to do this week, you’ll need to make your
website canonically compliant. You’re gonna need to make your website mobily compliant. You need to make a pro forma and you’ll need to shoot an about us video. I’ll see you next week. Boom! And then you would probably say what? Was any of that English? I don’t know. So the clients wouldn’t know what to do but this is what would happen. Remember I was charging nothing at this point. They said, could you do it for me? I said, what do you mean?
They said, I don’t have a videographer. And it occurred to me, wait a minute, most businesses in America are small business owners and they don’t have all the resources. And so I thought, here’s what I’m going to do. Just this one time, Mr. Business Coaching Client, I’ll let you use my videographer and my web developer, just this time. So then they were paying me a flat fee and I took a percentage of my
money, almost all of it, because I was getting paid zero at first. But then when I started charging people a flat fee, Dr. Brett, crazy deal, I hired the videographers and the photographers. They were on my team. I had like a team of people and my team would do it for them. And pretty soon I realized to do this right, Jason, I can’t have just one coder. No, why could I not just have one coder and one graphic designer and one photographer? And just one cold collar to help you make cold calls and one what get what why did I can’t?
Why can’t just have one of each?
Well, I mean, let’s look at it long term if you’re trying to get 160 clients
That’s a lot for one coder one video. Okay, and what else dr. Brick? What do you think?
I just can’t have just one well, you also never want to be held hostage by that loan.
Yes! Yes! See, this guy’s been a self-employed man for a long time. He, right away, got into that deep, dark negativity called the truth. I’m just telling you.
I’ve been there. I’ve been held hostage.
I had a videographer who played this game. He said, here’s the deal. When’s it due? And I said, well, I only meet with the client once a week, so next week. He says, oh, if you want to rush, I’ve got to go on vacation, but if you want to put a rush on it, you can charge me.
I can charge, you know, you can pay a little extra. I’m like, he’s an employee of mine. What am I, you’re saying if you want, he goes, well, I’ll work through the weekend to get it done, but I’m going to have to charge you just a little, you know, just a little extra. I said, how much? True story.
This guy went from making like a thousand a week to $2,500 if I wanted it rushed for the week. And he would do this, I don’t know, every week. And so I realized I’ve got to have a team. So over time, from 2007, 2008, I started building that team. And now that we have that team. But what’s really cool now is that with a guy like Tim Scotch, we give him homework
to do, and then we have homework to do. So he has the coaching, the consulting, the best practices, now he has a team to actually help him do it. Dr. Brett, can you talk a little bit about the kinds of things that you typically have to do as homework as a business coaching client? Just for the listeners out there that are going, well, this is going to be crazy. I’m going to leave every meeting with just a ton of homework, and I’m not going to be
able to get anything done. What’s the point of even hiring someone to help me if I have to do all this work?
Yeah, we keep a weekly running agenda on a Docs app, you know, Google Docs, yeah, Google, yeah, Google Document. And so, you know, any changes, any edits, both of us can see. But honestly, there is more highlighted under Tim and the team to do than there is on mine. But things for me are things like, you know, get the team the email list so we can send reviews or talk to my own team about a phone script or right now we’re working on switching over some things from a very archaic filing system to a modern
day digital you know practice management system. That sounds like a blasty blast. And that’s that’s super fun but you know it’s taking those steps so we break it down into small edible chunks and then this week we’re working on this chunk. And that’s going to be utilizing that system for the scheduling the next time it’s going to be for the daily patient notes.
Yeah, it’s really not a lot of tasks that I get put to each week. There’s honestly more, I think, on the Thrive Time team almost every meeting.
Now, what I’m going to do is I’m going to, and Jason by the way, the document you’re working on is the 519 wins of the week, the Tim Scotch success story show notes. Every time we do a show, I don’t think the listeners maybe know this because I don’t do a good job talking about it, but every single show we ever do we transcribe the entirety of the show. And we add show notes so that you can prove, you can vet and you can know that what we’re saying is true.
So let’s put a link to Dr. Breck’s website on today’s show so people can check out drbreck.com. Let’s put a link to Scotch Construction so people can go check out Tim Scotch’s company and verify that he is real. But he talked about this thing called working on the business. Absolutely. And Dr. Breck, I want to get your take about what it means to work on the business.
Well I don’t think that I had really worked on the business until I got together with Tim and your team because I was so busy and clueless in so many ways just working in the business. There were so many things I didn’t even see coming my way that I was just putting out the fires and what was immediate and urgent but not necessarily what was important. There are so many things that now we get to focus on that are important and creating that time to work on the business instead of in it.
Now I want to read a notable quotable to the listeners here and I’d like for you to really marinate on this. So I’m going to have you read the notable quotable and I’ll provide some incredible echoes, some sound effects and read it twice. The first time read it and I’m going to add sound effects to make you sound quicker, faster, with more alacrity and vivaciousness you could possibly handle.
It’s gonna sound quick. You’re gonna read it nice and calm, but I’m gonna add the quick effects. The second one will be more of like it’s that reverb, that echo, that it’s gonna be it’ll be surrounded by birds on top of the mountain.
Oh sweet.
Okay, let’s read the first.
Alright.
This is by Michael Gerber, by the way, the best-selling author of the E-Myth Revisited book, where he talks about, in that book, working on your business. Back to you, Jason.
If your business depends on you, you do not own a business you have a job And it’s the worst job in the world because you’re working for a lunatic a true business opportunity is the error is the on Is the on that in front of your invention grow him or himself not to work in but to work on stop
You read that again there, but yeah, sorry, it’s okay the good folks at Goodreads, the non-recordable resource might have an error there.
Yeah, the verbatim is weird.
Go ahead and read it again in a way that makes sense for people out there who don’t speak Yoda.
Gotcha. If your business depends on you, you do not own a business. You have a job. And it’s the worst job in the world because you are working for a lunatic. A true business opportunity is the on that an entrepreneur invents to grow him or himself, not to work in, but to work on. Michael Gerber.
So let’s try to decode what he’s saying. What Michael Gerber is talking about is you want to work on your business. I want to give the listeners out there an example of me working on my business just this weekend. I noticed that in our, at our workshops, people ask me all the time, what does it mean to build a website that is canonically compliant. Give me the list Just give me a checklist of all the things that are in your head that make a website friendly to Google
Just give me a list and I thought I’m gonna give you over there on my Chair, you’ll notice the SEO for dummies 2014 or 15 edition. Yep. Then on my desk, you’re going to notice SEO 2019. Jason, I would like for you to leave your microphone
and to go get the SEO 2019 book from my desk over here. And I’d like you just to read some of the things I’ve highlighted in that book, because that book is so helpful, but also so terrible, because it’s a technical book. It’s like reading 18 Tips for Nuclear Propulsion. What you’ll want to do is get uranium and house it in a… I mean it’s maybe not fun to read.
Sure, no I’m sure not. I’m gonna have you… let’s give it to Dr. Breck. Dr. Breck, you can read any portion of that I’ve highlighted. Any part where I’ve written on it. Just any part and you read it and then maybe I’ll break down what that means, okay? But I’m putting together this weekend a book, a workbook for search engine optimization written so that our clients can understand it. So just read any excerpt from SEO 2019. So I just opened a book at random.
This is page 56. And the first highlight is make your site accessible for all devices.
Okay, what that means is your site has to work on tablets, mobile devices, has from phones, computers, has to work on all these different tablets, all these different things. Really, none of our clients, I’ve yet to have a client ever that knows how to do that. Or how you could even check if your site is compliant. So I’m putting a link in my condensed workbook where you can check to see if it’s mobily compliant.
Even if you don’t hire us, you can just check. It’s going to be really cool. If you’re out there listening, it’s going to be really, really cool. And by the way, if you email right now to info at ThriveTimeShow.com. We’ll do a free 37 point assessment on your site and give you a list of what’s wrong with it.
Well, give us another portion of the book that says, cause this is stuff where I’m working on the business.
You mean stay there or turn?
There’s a lot of highlight. Any page you want, man. This, I’ll tell you what, you are reading SEO 2019. Any part of the book at all. All right. A beautiful, by the way, a very helpful book.
Just unbelievably tough to read. It makes my head explode when I look at it. Okay, go for it.
All right, here’s a mark that I’m not even sure if I’ll know what I’m reading here. Sure. The function of meta tags is really quite simple. Meta tags are a bit of code on your site controlling how your site appears in Google.
Okay, so meta, coming from the Greek word meaning above, and so if anyone goes to a website right now, go to your website. If you’re listening right now, go to your website and then right-click on the website and you can view your meta description. In the meta description there are three areas, there are three areas in your meta description that Google really cares about. One is your title tag. Your title tag simply tells Google what your website is all about. It would be like
telling Barnes & Noble what section of the bookstore your book should be in. Then the description is kind of like your book title, where it tells people. So again, if I wrote a book about how to eat healthy, I would tell Barnes & Noble, put it in the healthy lifestyle area or put it in the cooking section of the bookstore. That way people know where to find it. And then the description is like the title of the book.
And then the keywords, that would be like the subtitle of the book that explains, so you might say, healthy living is the title of the book. And then it would be like, the keyword might be 18 practical recipes. But again, I’m breaking it down. I’m working on the business. And Dr. Brick, nobody’s coming to me and saying,
please do this. Please, please, spend all the weekend reading books and all the books you’ve ever read. I’ve got some seriously not fun books over here about search engine optimization. I’ve gone through nine of them so far,
and I’ve taken that kind of note, so they’re all being put into this book. And that thing’s going to be hot. But Dr. Brick, I think working on your business can be hard sometimes. I think without a coach, for some it’s impossible.
Well, yeah, I think in a lot of ways you wouldn’t even know where to begin. There it is. You know, like I said, I was putting out the fires and I didn’t have enough of a perch or a view to be able to see what’s going to be coming next and what am I not seeing because I’m just so busy with my head spinning trying to get through
today? Another area is being proactive about recording your calls, training your team. Another area is being proactive about your accounting. Being reactive or proactive. Reactive means just surviving. Right.
And proactive means thriving. So without any further ado, back to the interview here with Mr. Tim Scotch about the growth of his company, Scotch Construction, as a direct result of the business coaching from Mr. Clay Stairs.
Talk to me a little bit about, I know you and I just over the last handful of months, there have been some, we’ll say over the last six months, what would you say are some real practical things that you have done over the last six months that now are showing some great return on investment? Definitely our marketing plan. I mean, we now have one and it’s starting to show.
Before we joined DuCle, our company was kind of floundering in the basically a nine-year startup cycle, we had made that leap to the next level. We just didn’t have tools in place. Now we do, but we have a marketing plan. We’ve got several jobs going now.
We’ve got a backlog of jobs. We’ve got a pipeline. We’ve got jobs coming up. We’ve got jobs we’re bidding in the future. So we’re not wondering where the next jobs coming from. Now we’re wondering how we’re going to do the jobs. Yeah, yeah. How much are they up? Are they up like a hundred bucks, couple hundred bucks? Are they up… how would you explain to somebody how much they’re up? We’re probably looking right now at our sales being tripled.
Whoa! Did you say your sales have tripled? Our sales being tripled. Did you say your sales have triple?
Our sales mean triple.
Come on baby, did you say your sales have triple?
Triple, triple, triple.
That looks nice.
Triple.
That sounds sexy.
Triple, triple, triple.
Oh I love the way the balance sheet looks when it triples.
Triple.
Gets me going the way you show me that balance sheet with that triple digit growth. Triple. Triple. Triple.
I don’t know that a lot of people view business the way that I do. A lot of people are like, oh, my job is just something that I have. It’s not something that I really get passionate about. I really do like the Cowboys. I’m really excited about the Browns. I love the Patriots, but I would never actually get excited about my own business.
And that right there is another part about coaching. Jason, I celebrate, we celebrate business growth in an unhealthy, borderline, psychosexual way. We love business growth. We really do. We talk about it every morning.
That’s the first thing we tackle is we’re super excited to shout out, hey, which one of our clients are winning or growing, or the second somebody mentions theirs, I mean, we freak out. So let’s go back to the Patriots, which, again, for people out there that aren’t familiar with why I love the Patriots so much, one, I’m not from New England.
Two, I only like Bill Belichick. Three, I don’t care what players are on the team. Four, it’s very similar to running a business. And so tell us about the coaches who left the team this year. After they win the Super Bowl, the tradition is to celebrate and then to go get another job.
So tell me what players left the Patriots this year.
So players, we’ve got wide receiver Chris Hogan.
Our starting wide receiver, by the way. Oh, really?
Yes, we lost him.
And then tail end Rob Gronkowski. Tight end! Tight end! The best tight end in football. Left team, okay.
So you have me reading football stats.
I don’t know anything about sports.
It’s okay.
It’s okay.
I do know Gronk, though. You don’t have to read their positions. You can just read their name. Laedrian Waddell. Okay, got it. Malcolm Brown.
Big, big, big, big losses here.
Keep going.
Eric Rowe.
Yep, keep going.
Cordariel Patterson.
Now, Cordariel Patterson was one of the fastest people in the NFL. He played with us for one year. Awesome player, receiver, who also played running back quite a bit for us last year.
And keep going.
Trey Flowers.
A very, very good player who left our team to go play for a guy he used to play for. Because his head coach, Matt Patricia, the head coach of the Lions, used to be a coach on the Patriots. And he left to go coach the Lions. He reached out to Trey Flowers and Trey followed him. And who else left?
Trent Brown.
Now what coaches left?
That would be Brian Flores.
He left to become a head coach. Chad O’Shea. Jerry Schaplinski. Here’s what I’m saying, we lost a lot of coaches and players. But every year, homie reloads. And what he’s doing, people don’t know he’s doing this, he’s training up the next level.
So this guy, Wynn, who will now, W-Y-N-N, he will now be playing as a starter this year. And last year, no one knew who he was. But they’re coaching him up. Dr. Breck, why can’t you ever stop coaching up that next level, that next layer of reinforcements?
Well, because at some point, somebody’s going to tap out, whether it’s an issue in the office or in your business or I mean things just have a longevity in cycles of life. And so you know you may go 10 years and it’s just you know it’s time for them to move on. They may have a family situation, a job change for their spouse that takes them elsewhere. I mean there’s any number of variables that can come and you want to be prepared for all of them.
And so you’ve always got to be coaching and training and bringing up that next generation. I mean in our office I employ a lot of ladies and so we’ve had women leave for retirement. We’ve had a lady leave a little bit earlier than retirement, but her daughter had a baby. We had another one who left because she had a baby. She came back for a short period.
Just a quick disclaimer, everybody out there who’s already thinking, I know what you’re thinking, and you’re thinking, there’s a friend of mine right now who would be offended by this idea. Listen, I have hired a lot of women throughout the years, and the reality is I’ve yet to have a man go, boss, can we talk? Yeah, sure, what’s going on there, Craig?
I want to leave because I’m having a baby. I’m like, you’re having a baby? I’m having a baby. I have had a lot of women do that, though. So women tend to leave the workforce and come back to the workforce more often than men. You just can’t ever stop recruiting.
Now, is it shocking to you, Jason, that this man, Mr. Tim Scotch, has grown his company by three times, that he’s increased his sales by 300% in one year?
Is it shocking? No, only because I know the coaching path, and if you’re a diligent doer, you can get so much done. I’m proud of him that he’s grown that much in a year. That’s insane. It’s incredible.
Let’s get back to the… Good job, Tim Scotch.
Let’s get back to our interview.
You should have a glass of Scotch.
Scotch, Scotch, Scotch.
I like the way you said your marketing plan that you have. What are like two or three or four things that you can think of right off the top of your head that are a part of this marketing plan that you’re saying? Oh, Google reviews. There we go. Oh, you love me with the Google reviews, huh?
Yeah. So that’s part of it, your Internet, your website, I guess your Internet presence with the Google reviews and I guess the SEOs and getting out on the front page and all that. brochures and things like that, you know, things to hand out and what have you. So just different, different, there’s just, it’s multifaceted. I think there’s different, different legs that I’m not thinking of right now.
Okay, cool. Well, those are some great examples there. And probably, you know, another question here is, Tim, do you feel, and this is kind of a qualitative answer here, but do you feel like your life is better this year at this point than when we first started?
Just your life and your family and your marriage and all that kind of stuff, do you feel like your life is improving or at least on a path to improving now? Definitely. I feel like, you know, I’m currently experiencing a better lifestyle. I’ve got a little bit more time to be with my family. I can do things that usually I’m, you know, let’s put it this way.
Some of my kids’ friends never realized I was alive. I thought that their dad was dead. My kid’s dad was dead.
Oh no! Yes.
I said, oh I didn’t know you had a dad.
I thought he was dead.
Oh my goodness.
But now they know you, huh?
I said, now they know me, yes. Who’s that man?
Oh, that’s wild. That is wild.
Well, just last question here. How would you recommend to a person that is considering getting to become a part of our coaching program, what words would you say to somebody that is thinking about doing that? Just take a leap of faith. It will help you tremendously. You will never regret it.
For me, it was the right thing to do at the right time. It’s turned my life around. It’s turned my company around. It’s helping just tremendously with every facet of both. You know, I’ve got more time and more energy and more patience for my family. And then I’m, you know, I’ve learned one of the things I’ve learned is that, you know,
I need to get out of the way and let the company run itself. And that’s kind of where we’re at with Clay’s processes and everything that we do. We’re trying to do things that are systematic, that repeat themselves and then it’s something that eventually we can hand off to others.
Fantastic.
It’s the way to go.
Fantastic. Well, Tim, you have been a real joy to work with and it’s so fun to see the fruit of your labor and, again, because this has been – you’re doing the stuff and it’s so fun to see the fruit of your labor. So, well, thank you very much, Tim, for taking a little bit of time to do this. I sure appreciate it.
All right, man.
All right, thank you, Clay.
Yep, have a great day and a wonderful weekend. If you’re out there today, Dr. Breck, if somebody’s out there today, let me just give them a few action steps they should definitely take and you can pile on. Sure.
One, if you live in the Tulsa area and you’re having a problem with your back, you’re having a little soreness, allergies, what are all the things you can treat over there at DrBreck.com?
There are so many things. It really starts at the top of your head and works all the way down to your toes. So I mean, if you have foot pain, ankle pain, you know, so plantar fasciitis and those types of things, sciatic issues, problems in the lower back, problems in your mid and upper back, stress, headaches, the list goes on and on. I mean, carpal tunnel issues, elbows, shoulders.
Sacroiliac.
Sacroiliac, yes. That’s a big thing that we work with. But I mean, even if you’re just not feeling your best self, you know, you could have some things as far as just some organ function that’s just not optimized. And so there’s really not anything we can’t help with.
And again, if you want to kind of test out Dr. Breck, if you live in the Tulsa area, if you don’t, I know most of our listeners don’t live in Tulsa, but if you live in the Tulsa area, just go to drbreck.com. It’s D-R-B-R-E-C-K dot com. D-R-B-R-E-C-K dot com. Go over there and rock the Breck Kaz Bomb.

Where’s my buddy play?
Play is the greatest. I met his goats today. I met his dogs. I
met his chickens. I saw his compound. He’s like the greatest
guy ran from his goats, his chickens, his dogs. So this guy is like the greatest marketer you’ve ever seen, right? His
entire life play Clark his entire life is marketing. Okay,
Aaron Antis on March 6 and 7, March 6th and 7th, guess who’s coming to Tulsa, Russia?
Oh, Santa Claus?
No, that’s March. March 6th and 7th, we’re going to be joined by Robert Kiyosaki. Robert Kiyosaki. Best-selling author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad, possibly the best-selling, or one of the best-selling business authors of all time. And he’s going to be joined with Eric Trump. He’ll be joined by Eric Trump. We’ve got Eric Trump and Robert Kiyosaki in the same place.
In the same place.
Aaron, why should everybody show up to hear Robert Kiyosaki? Well you got billions of dollars of business experience between those two. Not to mention many, many, many millions of books have been sold. Many, many millionaires have been made from the books that have been sold by Robert Kiyosaki. I happen to be one of them. I learned from the man. He was the inspiration. That book was the inspiration for me to get the entrepreneurial spirit as many other people.
Now since you won’t brag on yourself, I will. You’ve sold billions of dollars of houses, am I correct? That is true.
And the book that kick-started it all for you, Rich Dad Poor Dad, the best-selling author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, Robert Kiyosaki, the guy that kick-started your career, he’s going to be here. He’s going to be here. I’m bummed. And now Eric Trump, people don’t know this, but the Trump Organization has thousands of employees. There’s not 50 employees. The Trump Organization, again, most people don’t know this, but the Trump Organization
has thousands of employees, and while Donald J. Trump was the 45th president of these United States and soon to be the 47th president of these United States, he needed someone to run the companies for him. And so the man that runs the Trump organization for Donald J. Trump as he was the 45th president of the United States and now the 47th president of the United States is Eric Trump. So Eric Trump is here to talk about time management, promoting from within, marketing, branding, quality control, sales
systems, workflow design, workflow mapping, how to build. I mean everything you see the Trump hotels, the Trump golf courses, all their products, the man who manages billions of dollars of real estate and thousands of employees is here to teach us how to do it. You are talking about one of the greatest brands on the planet from a business standpoint. I mean who else has been able to create a brand like the Trump brand?
I mean look at it, and this is the man behind the business for the last, pretty much since 2015. He’s been the man behind it, so you’re talking we’re into nine going into ten years of him running it, and we get to tap into that knowledge. That’s gonna be amazing. Now, think about this for a second. Would you buy a ticket just to see Robert Kiyosaki and Eric Trump? Of course you would. But we’re also gonna be joined by Sean Baker. This is the best-selling author, the guy who
invented the carnivore diet. Dr. Sean Baker, he’s been on Joe Rogan multiple times, he’s going to be joining us. So you’ve got Robert Kiyosaki, the best-selling author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Eric Trump, Sean Baker, the lineup continues to grow and this is how we do our tickets here at the Thrive Time Show. If you want to get a VIP ticket, you can absolutely do it. It’s $500 for a VIP ticket. We’ve always done it that way. Now if you want to take a general admission ticket, it’s $250 or whatever price you want to pay. And the reason why I do that, and the reason why we do that,
is because we want to make our events affordable for everybody. I grew up without money. I totally understand what it’s like to be in a tight spot. So if you want to attend, it’s $250, or whatever price you want to pay. That’s how I do it.
And it’s $500 for a VIP ticket. Now, we only have limited seating here. But the most people we’ve ever had in this building was for the Jim Brewer presentation. Jim Brewer came here. The legendary comedian Jim Brewer came to Tulsa and we had 419 people
that were here. 419 people. And I thought to myself, there’s no more room. I felt kind of bad that a couple people had VIP seats in the men’s restroom. No, I’m just kidding. But I felt, so I thought, you know what, we should probably add on.
So we’re adding on what we call the upper deck. Or the top shelf. So the seats are very close to the presenters, but we’re actually building right now. We’re adding on to the facility to make room to accommodate another 30 attendees or more. So again, if you want to get tickets for this event, all you have to do is go to Thrivetimeshow.com. Go to Thrivetimeshow.com.
When you go to Thrivetimeshow.com, you’ll go there, you’ll request a ticket, boom. Or if you want to text me, if you want a little bit faster service, you say, I want you to call me right now. Just text my number. It’s my cell phone number, my personal cell phone number. We’ll keep that private between you, between you, me, everybody.
We’ll keep that private. And anybody, don’t share that with anybody except for everybody. That’s my private cell phone number. It’s 918-851-0102, 918-851-0102. I know we have a lot of Spanish speaking people
that attend these conferences. And so to be bilingually sensitive, my cell phone number is 918-851-0102.
That is not actually bilingual. That’s just saying one for a one. It’s not the same thing.
I think you’re attacking me. Now, let’s talk about this. Now, what kind of stuff will you learn at the Thrive Time Show workshop? So Aaron, you’ve been to many of these over the past seven, eight years. So let’s talk about it. I’ll tee up the thing and then you tell me what you’re going to learn here, okay? You’re gonna learn marketing. Marketing and branding. What
are we gonna learn about marketing and branding? Oh yeah, we’re gonna dive into, you know, so many people say, oh you know, I got to get my brand known out there like the Trump brand. You want to get that brand out there. It’s like, how do I actually make people know what my business is? And make it a household name? You’re gonna learn some intricacies of how you can do that. You’re gonna learn sales. So many people struggle to sell something.
This just in, your business will go to hell if you can’t sell. So we’re going to teach you sales. We’re going to teach you search engine optimization, how to come up top in the search engine results. We’re going to teach you how to manage people. Aaron, you have managed, no exaggeration, hundreds of people throughout your career and thousands of contractors.
And most people struggle with managing people. Why does everybody have to learn how to manage people? Well, because first of all, people are, you either have great people or you have people who suck. And so it could be a challenge. You know, learning how to work with a large group of people
and get everybody pulling in the same direction can be a challenge. But if you have the right systems, you have the right processes, and you’re really good at selecting great ones, and we have a process we teach
about how to find great people. When you start with the people who have a great attitude, they’re teachable, they’re driven, all of those things, then you can get those people all pulling in the same direction. So we’re going to teach you branding, marketing, sales,
search engine optimization. We’re going to teach you accounting. We’re going to teach you personal finance, how to manage your finance. We’re going to teach you time management. How do you manage your time?
How do you get more done during a typical day? How do you build an organization if you’re not organized? How do you do organization? How do you build an org chart? Everything that you need to know to start and grow a business will be taught during this two-day interactive business workshop.
Now let me tell you how the format is set up here. And again, folks, this is a two-day interactive 15… Think about this, folks. It’s two days. Each day it starts at 7 a.m. and it goes until 5 p.m. So from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., two days,
it’s a two-day interactive workshop. The way we do it is we do a 30-minute teaching session and then we break for 15 minutes for a question and answer session. So Aaron, what kind of great stuff happens during that 15-minute question and answer session
after every teaching session? I actually think it’s the best part about the workshops because here’s what happens. I’ve been to lots of these things over the years. I’ve paid many thousands of dollars to go to them. And you go in there and they talk in vague generalities
and they’re constantly upselling you for something, trying to get you to buy this thing or that thing or this program or this membership. And you don’t, you leave not getting your very specific questions answered about your business or your employees
or what you’re doing on your marketing. And what’s awesome about this is we literally answer every single question that any person asks. And it’s very specific to what your business is. And what we do is we allow you, as the attendee,
to write your questions on the whiteboard. And then we literally, as you mentioned, we answer every single question on the whiteboard. And then we take a 15-minute break to stretch and to make it entertaining when you’re stretching. And this is a true story.
When you get up and stretch, you’ll be greeted by mariachis. There’s going to probably be alpaca here, llamas, helicopter rides, a coffee bar, a snow cone. I mean, there’s just… You had a crocodile one time.
That was pretty interesting. You know, I should write that down. And actually… Sorry for that one guy that we lost.
The crocodile, we duct taped its face. Right?
We duct taped… No, it was a baby crocodile. And we duct taped. Yeah, duct taped around the mouth so it didn’t bite anybody. But it was really cool passing that thing around. I should do that.
We have a small petting zoo that will be assembled. It’s going to be great. And then you’re in the company of hundreds of entrepreneurs. So there’s not a lot of people in America today. In fact, there’s less than 10 million people today, according to US Debt Clock, that identify as being self-employed.
So if you have a country with 350 million people, that means you have less than 3% of our population that’s even self-employed. So you only have three out of every hundred people in America that are self-employed to begin with and when Inc. Magazine reports that 96% of businesses fail by default, by default you have a one out of a thousand chance of succeeding in the game of business. But yet the
average client that you and I work with, we can typically double this. I’m just no hyperbole, no exaggeration. I have thousands of testimonials to back this up. We have thousands of testimonials to back it up. But when you work with a home builder, when I work with a business owner, we can typically double the size of the company
within 24 months. Yeah. Double, and you say double? Yeah, there’s businesses that we have tripled. There’s businesses we’ve grown 8X. There’s so many examples.
You can see it thrive timeshow.com. But again, this is the most interactive best business workshop on the planet. This is objectively the highest rated and most reviewed business workshop on the planet. And then you add to that Robert Kiyosaki, the best-selling author of Rich Dad Poor Dad.
You add to that Eric Trump, the man that runs the Trump Organization. You add to that Sean Baker. Now you might say, Clay, is there more? I need more. Well, OK, Tom Wheelwright is the wealth strategist for Robert Kiyosaki. So people say, Robert Kiyosaki, who’s his financial wealth advisor?
Who’s the guy who manages, who’s his wealth strategist? His wealth strategist, Tom Wheelwright, will be here. And you say, Clay, I still, I’m not going to get a ticket unless you give me more. OK, fine. We’re going to serve you the same meal both days. True story.
We cater in food and because I keep it simple, I literally bring him the same food both days for lunch. It’s Ted Escovedo’s an incredible a Mexican restaurant That’s gonna happen and Jill Donovan our good friend who is the founder of rustic cuff She started that company in her home and now she sells millions of dollars of Maryland products That’s rustic cuff comments. What says I want more this Give me more. Okay. I’m not gonna mention their names right now because I’m working on it behind the scenes here. But we’ve got one guy who’s given me a verbal to be here.
And this is a guy who’s one of the wealthiest people in Oklahoma. And nobody really knows who he is because he’s built systems that are very utilitarian that offer a lot of value. He’s made a lot of money in the, it’s the, it’s where you rent. It’s short term, it’s where you’re renting storage spaces. He’s a storage space guy.
He owns the, what do you call that? The rental, the uh…
Storage space?
Storage units! That’s what you call it, yeah. This guy owns storage units, he owns railroad cars, he owns a lot of assets that make money on a daily basis, but they’re not like customer facing. Most people don’t know who owns the mini storage facility, or most people don’t know who owns the warehouse that’s passively making money.
Most people don’t know who owns the railroad cars, but this guy, he’s giving me a verbal that he will be here, and we just continue to add more and more success stories. So if you’re out there today and you want to change your life, you want to give yourself an incredible gift, you want a life-changing experience, you want to learn how to start and grow a company, go to Thrivetimeshow.com. Go there right now.
Thrivetimeshow.com. Request a ticket for the two-day interactive event. Again, the day here is March 6th and 7th. March 6th and 7th, we just got confirmation. Robert Kiyosaki, best-selling author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, he’ll be here, Eric Trump, the man who leads the Trump Organization, it’s
going to be a blasty blast, there’s no upsells. Aaron, I could not be more excited about this event. I think it is incredible, and there’s somebody out there right now, you’re watching, and you’re like, but I already signed up for this incredible other program called Smoke Your Way to Thin, and you think that’s going to change your life. I promise you this will be ten times better than that.
It’s like I picked the wrong week to quit smoking.
Don’t do the smoke your way to thin conference. That is, I’ve tried it, don’t do it. Chain smoking is not a viable, I mean it is life changing.
It is life changing.
If you become a chain smoker, it is life changing. It’s not the best weight loss program though. Right, not really. If you’re looking to have life changing results in a way that won’t cause you to have a stoma, get your tickets at Thrivetimeshow.com. Again, that’s Aaron Antis.
