Get ready to enter the Thrivetime Show.

(singing)

Clay Clark:

Yes, yes, yes, and yes. Thrive Nation, we are in the air everywhere and on today’s edition of the Thrivetime Show. And every edition of the business edition of the Thrivetime Show and every edition of the Thrivetime Show, before the great reset happened, every single show was about implementing proven business systems to grow a successful company. However, the format of our show changed a little bit because it’s hard to have a successful company if you don’t have capitalism working well in your country.

However, on today’s show, we’re exclusively focused on how to run a successful company in the event that you live in a capitalist country. If you live in a Marxist country, we’ll do other podcasts like How to Not Die. But on today’s show, we’re talking about how to grow a successful company. And one of the things we try to do as a free resource is if you’re out there today, you can go to thrivetimeshow.com/millionaire. Let me show you how to get there. You go to thrivetimeshow.com, thrivetimeshow.com/millionaire.

And you go there and you can download the book we’re going to be teaching from today called How to Become Sustainably Rich. Not how to get rich quick, not how to get rich and lose at all, but how to become sustainably rich. You can download the book and follow along, and we’re on Page 32 of this book. And we’re talking today about how you won’t reap a harvest if you don’t sow the seeds.

Aaron Antis:

That is true.

Clay Clark:

So, the day that I was recording this show, the day before now, was the Super Bowl Sunday.

Aaron Antis:

Right.

Clay Clark:

Now, I am not suggesting that everybody out there should not or should watch the Super Bowl, or you shouldn’t or should watch your favorite college football game, or you shouldn’t or should watch any television show or program. What I am saying is that we all have 24 hours in a day, and how we spend those hours will determine the level of success we have.

Another example would be, Aaron, you run Oklahoma’s largest home building company or one of Oklahoma’s largest home building companies. And you could read every self-help book possible, but if you never started building houses, what would happen?

Aaron Antis:

We wouldn’t have a company.

Clay Clark:

Interesting. Now, if we could be a farmer, be highly motivated, we could read all the success books about how to build a successful farm. But if we never sowed the seeds, what would happen?

Aaron Antis:

You’d have dirt.

Clay Clark:

Yeah, there you go. So, if you are out there and you read every single success book possible there is about time management and sales and marketing, if you don’t implement these, the things, the systems, the processes that you learn, you’ll never have success. And so, out of what I wrote here on Page 32 of this book was, “You won’t reap a harvest if you don’t sow the seeds.” And so, I thought we would talk about today, the biggest reason that I hear people tell me they did not sow the seeds.

Aaron Antis:

So true.

Clay Clark:

The biggest reason people always tell me they didn’t sow the seeds, they say, “I didn’t have time.” So, I thought…

Aaron Antis:

It’s hard to find.

Clay Clark:

… I would share with everybody today how I found the time to record today’s show, so here we go. This is my schedule today. My first meeting was at 6:00 AM, with Nathan with Complete Carpet Cleaning. And by the way, folks, this is how I do it. If I have a new client, I charge the client $1,700 a month and I hold them accountable to implementing the proven systems. It’s like bumper bowling. You can’t have a gutter ball if we’re leading you down the proven path.

Aaron Antis:

That’s true.

Clay Clark:

To Nathan’s credit, he diligently implements the system, so he has success. He sowed the seeds, so he gets a harvest. The next meeting is our coaches’ meeting. That’s where I coach our coaches. So, Aaron, you know this. When you’re guiding the client down the proven path, sometimes there’s cones in the way, there’s construction, there’s situations we didn’t plan for. That’s where I answer the questions for the coaches.

At 8:00 AM, I lead my own staff meeting for Elephant in the Room or a haircut chain for the managers. And at 9:00, I have an all staff meeting where I lead all of the employees, all of the teammates, the hundreds of people that work here. Then at 10:00, I meet with Highway Man Signs, a great Oklahoma company, and I guide them down the path. And Kenny and his incredible wife, Danielle, they implement the proven path and they have success. And then at 11:00, I work with Papa Gallo’s, the pizza business in Florida. And they also have the Morning Glory Breakfast business, and I lead them down the proven path.

And just to prove these people are real, let’s look up Complete Carpet Cleaning. So, make sure it’s not a hologram, it’s not a hologram. Complete Carpet Cleaning. We type them in here. There they are. This is their website. They’re in Tulsa. And you see, well, they’re a real business. They’re real. Woohoo. Real people.

Aaron Antis:

They’re real. I’ve met them.

Clay Clark:

They’re nice people.

Aaron Antis:

They are nice people.

Clay Clark:

Good people. It’s Ethan. He and his wife run the business. Awesome. Let’s go back to the calendar. Then the next meeting we have, it’s a real business. It’s Elephant in the Room. It’s a real company that I really do own. I really did start and it really works.

Aaron Antis:

It does.

Clay Clark:

It’s a men’s grooming branch.

Aaron Antis:

I get my haircut there.

Clay Clark:

Do you really?

Aaron Antis:

Every month.

Clay Clark:

Really? I did not know that. When did you check it out for the first time?

Aaron Antis:

Probably been a little over a year ago.

Clay Clark:

It was a dollar for the first haircut?

Aaron Antis:

It was a dollar for the first haircut.

Clay Clark:

How did it stack up to the other places? I’m not looking for specific names of competitors, but how was it? Was it okay? Do you like it or?

Aaron Antis:

I think that it is superior to the other places because you have kind of some extra things, extra services that you get included when you go there that you don’t get at other places.

Clay Clark:

And it’s a dollar for the first haircut.

Aaron Antis:

And it’s a dollar. You can’t go wrong.

Clay Clark:

Okay, so then the next business we worked with here today, this is all today, is Highway Man Signs. What a great Oklahoma business. If you’re looking for signage for your business, auto wraps on the wall, big monuments, they have a huge gallery of products and services they create. They do auto wraps, vehicle signage, metal signs, decals, channel lettering, wall wraps, yard signs, window graphics, lighted signage, they do it all.

Aaron Antis:

Yes, they do.

Clay Clark:

But again, if they don’t sow the seeds, they won’t reap a harvest. We continue. Papa Gallo’s is a great business and all of these businesses have grown so much. These businesses have grown dramatically. Papa Gallo’s, I believe, is three times larger than when we first started working with them.

Aaron Antis:

Wow.

Clay Clark:

And they’re in Satellite Beach, Florida. A great business. Satellite Beach, Florida, Papa Gallo’s Pizza, right there on the water. A great business. We work with those guys. They do a phenomenal job. They also run Morning Glory, which is a breakfast restaurant, and that’s going to also be in Satellite Beach, Florida. And I’ve helped them start that company and build it into a multimillion-dollar business. That business was an idea they had in their mind and it became an actual business. We worked on it together.

And then we worked with Tip Top K9, which by the way is a company that is franchising. So, if you want to buy into a proven system that already works, you can learn more about Tip Top K9 franchising today at tiptopk9.com. But Aaron, all these clients, they find time to get the work done somehow.

Aaron Antis:

Yes, they do.

Clay Clark:

But the number one reason I hear people say, not our listeners, thankfully, but other people say for not being able to get stuff done is they say, “I didn’t have the time.”

Aaron Antis:

I hear that all the time. I think people think that somehow these businesses are sort of an overnight success.

Clay Clark:

There you go.

Aaron Antis:

And it’s like, “Oh, they just hit it at the perfect timing.”

Clay Clark:

Timing.

Aaron Antis:

Everything. The stars came into alignment.

Clay Clark:

A lot of podcasts are about that, how to find the right timing. How to go viral. How to get rich quick. I don’t do that.

Aaron Antis:

That’s not a thing.

Clay Clark:

Not a thing.

Aaron Antis:

And really, I know a bunch of those business owners that you just showed there, and I’ve known them for years, and they’re not people that were an overnight success.

Clay Clark:

There it is.

Aaron Antis:

They’re people who, when I met them, when you first started working with them, they were a smaller business and I watched them grow exponentially over that period of time.

Clay Clark:

It happens consistently.

Aaron Antis:

It does happen consistently. But it’s not about finding time and “Oh, I lost some time.” It’s about what you say no to.

Clay Clark:

Come on now.

Aaron Antis:

So that you have time to do the things that actually move the needle in your business.

Clay Clark:

So, let’s hang a little bit of meat on the bones and I’m going to take notes and I always put my notes on the description of the video, so when you see the podcast come out, you’ll see my notes. But I’m going to give you some very specific notes of what you can do today if you want to start and grow a successful company.

Step No. 1, in terms of fighting more time, say no to grow. Now, I know that people out there say, “I don’t have time,” so let’s give you some specific ways to find that time. One is I wake up at 3:00 and then my first meeting is at 6:00 and I will leave today at 6:30. So, my normal is from 3:00 AM to 6:30. And you know what, this is just in, there’s very few calls in the morning at 3:00 AM.

Aaron Antis:

Yeah, not many.

Clay Clark:

So, I say no to grow. How do I say no? How do you say no? I say no to things that I would be probably be doing at 3:00 if I wasn’t working and that would be sleeping. So, I go to bed at 9:00. I wake up at 3:00 and that is six hours, and that’s what I need to be energetic, ready to go. I like to sleep six hours a day.

So, I say no in my day to, I say no to TV. I don’t watch TV. I say no to social media. I don’t do it during the day. I don’t watch social media. Don’t interact during the day or at home. I say no to gossip. I say no to gossip. I don’t talk about how people feel about other people very long at all. If it’s a conversation about how people feel about people, I wrap it up very quickly.

I say no to lunch meetings. I say no to coffee meetings. I do. I say no to unnecessary travel. A lot of business people say, “I got to travel to Michigan for this conference. I’m going to go up here to Stok, South Dakota for the New Trade Association meeting.”

Aaron Antis:

Let me throw a big one up here, Clay. You say no to golf.

Clay Clark:

I say no to golf. I do. And I say no to golf. I say no to Hallmark holidays.

Aaron Antis:

True.

Clay Clark:

So holidays that I don’t believe in, I don’t acknowledge them. So, let me give you an example. We got Valentine’s Day coming up, so what I did is I went this weekend and bought my wife a stuffed bear, bought her some flowers, got those things. It was Sunday. I don’t feel the need to go out to dinner on Tuesday when everyone else is out to dinner and wait in line for four hours or three hours or two hours. I’m not saying you shouldn’t. I’m just saying I don’t do that.

I say no to graduations and weddings of people I barely know. Think about that. Weddings of people I barely know. I say no, this again, I say no to mindless networking events.

Aaron Antis:

I don’t go to any of those.

Clay Clark:

I say no to people by blocking them on my phone. I got a guy this week who doesn’t understand boundaries. We’ve had that conversation and he keeps texting me random theories about how to grow companies. And I’ve told the guy, “I respect you. I like you, but you got to stop texting me random theories to how to run a company. My businesses are successful. I’m not seeking your advice.”

Aaron Antis:

I blocked six people today.

Clay Clark:

You get it?

Aaron Antis:

Yeah. I don’t want to talk to those people. There’s so many people who are just constantly reaching out to you to try and sell you something you don’t need or…

Clay Clark:

There it is.

Aaron Antis:

… they’re trying to get something from you, and I don’t do that.

Clay Clark:

So, I say no to grow. We’ve given some examples. Now, the second thing I want to do is we want to schedule key performance indicator activities into our schedule, into your schedule. You got to do it. Okay?

Aaron Antis:

Yeah.

Clay Clark:

So, what does that mean? Specifically, I had to meet the Elephant in the Room staff today for my staff meeting at 7:00 or at 8:00. I’m sorry, 8:00 AM. Then I had my all staff meeting at 9:00, which means I wasn’t doing anything else at that time.

Aaron Antis:

Yeah. And I had my staff meeting at 8:30 this morning.

Clay Clark:

There it is.

Aaron Antis:

I had another one at 10:30, and those are every Monday. And I don’t do anything else during this.

Clay Clark:

And you run a real company.

Aaron Antis:

Yep.

Clay Clark:

That’s what you really do at Shaw Homes. It’s one of the fastest growing, largest home building companies in the region. It’s a real thing. The company has grown from let’s say $16 million or what was the number, $15?

Aaron Antis:

$19.

Clay Clark:

From $19 million to?

Aaron Antis:

$142 million last year.

Clay Clark:

Unbelievable. So, I’m just telling you, the business is growing, but we have to schedule key performance indicator activities into our schedule. I don’t know if people know this, but every day that I do one of these podcasts, that means I’m not doing something else.

Aaron Antis:

True.

Clay Clark:

And so, today I’m just being real. I’m not being offensive, not being mean, not being negative. I have not answered my phone today.

Aaron Antis:

Well, and key performance indicator activities. I mean, for me, I call them IPAs, which is not a beer. It’s Income Producing Activities.

Clay Clark:

I like that, too.

Aaron Antis:

It’s what I like to stay focused in on is those things that actually generate revenue in our company because you can solve any problem except for no income. That usually puts everybody out of business.

Clay Clark:

And I’m just going to give you an example of stuff. I mentioned these things because I don’t want people to think I live in some utopia situation. I had somebody recently screw me over quite a bit. Okay? They’re basically somebody I… The way it works is if somebody goes to thrivetimeshow.com and they schedule a consultation with me, I’m going to help them grow their company. And this particular person, I’ve helped them grow their business by eight times larger than where they were. And this particular person is a thank you gift, reached out to members of my team and tried to hire them away to go work with this person.

And so, what I did is I looked at them and I’m going, “Okay. I know it happened, so rather than getting emotional about it, I’m going to replace that client with another client.” No big deal, because we have between two and 10 potential new clients reach out every day. Plus, we have dozens of people reach out every day who want to come to a conference. And I only take on 160 clients, so that was easy.

Aaron Antis:

Yeah. Simple.

Clay Clark:

Then I replaced the employees that were the problem. And that was easy.

Aaron Antis:

Easy.

Clay Clark:

But I didn’t spend months lamenting about it.

Aaron Antis:

Nope.

Clay Clark:

Getting into litigation, I move on.

Aaron Antis:

You just move on with it.

Clay Clark:

And I just move on. Instead of getting bitter, I just get better. So, it’s so important though that you don’t get into a weird spot where you’re spending your day doing non-income producing activities. You don’t spend your day drifting around doing nothing. Okay, so how do you find time to grow? How do you sow those seeds, reap the harvest? You got to find time to do it. You got to make time to be successful.

So, one, you say no to grow. All right? Two, you schedule your key performance indicators or your income producing activities into your schedule. Three, you install a tracking sheet. Four, you install a merit based hey system. So, yesterday, and then I’ll go right back to you. Yesterday, we had a guy on our team who came to me and he says, “Hey, I would like to make some extra income.” And I said, “Okay. Cool. Come on in extra.”

And the guy said, “Well, what do you mean?” I said, “Well, just come on in extra. I’ve got extra activities for you to do.” So, we have many clients that reach out to me all the time and say, “Hey, could you optimize our website?” Many potential clients. And a lot of times we say no because we’re already booked out.

So, I told this guy, “If you want to make more money, just tell me you want to make more money.” And then the opportunities that I’m saying no to, sometimes people reach out and say, “Can I be a client?” And I say, “I can’t take on any more clients right now.” And they say, “Why?” And I say, “Well, because we’re booked out.”

I’m always scheduling free 13-point assessments, but oftentimes I have to tell a client where we just don’t have any availabilities right now. But I said, “If you want to make more money, tell me that you’re available. And then I’ll start to take on more search engine-related content.” And so this particular gentleman I’m referencing, he had mentioned it to me once before, a couple of weeks back, he mentioned it to me again.

And so, I just talked to Andrew today. Andrew Bloomer, who works here. And Andrew said, “Hey, we have a lot of clients that want us to write more content for them. Do we have anybody willing to do the extra work?” And I said, “Yes, we do.” And bam, this guy is going to make extra money.

So again, you got to say no to grow, schedule the key performance indicator activities in your schedule. Three, install a tracking sheet. Four, install a merit-based pay system. Aaron, back to you.

Aaron Antis:

I was just going to say on the tracking sheet, you’ve often heard the phrase, “You got to measure what you treasure or you can’t manage what you can’t measure.” And it’s just like your dashboard, watching what’s happening in your business. You’re going to look up at make sure your oil pressure isn’t low. Make sure that your temperature gauge isn’t into the red. And so, your tracking sheet shows you, “Hey, how many leads do I have coming in? Oh, that’s dropped off a cliff.”

Clay Clark:

There it is.

Aaron Antis:

We just dropped by 60%. What happened? Oh, well, maybe part of my advertising. Oh, what do you know, my credit card that pays for advertising…

Clay Clark:

There it is.

Aaron Antis:

… Google AdWords or whatever it might be. It’s expired. Oh, no wonder my leads went down so much. But if you’re not looking at those indicators on your dashboard, then you don’t really know how to steer the bus.

Clay Clark:

Is it okay if I let you into a little secret? Can I share you my tracking?

Aaron Antis:

Yeah.

Clay Clark:

So, one of our companies is a haircut business. We’ll keep this secret, folks. So, this business I track every week, and I don’t mind freely sharing what I track because my competition typically doesn’t want to sow the seeds.

Aaron Antis:

That’s true.

Clay Clark:

And so, it’s interesting how we have business conferences. One of my competition actually come to this building and pretend as though they are not my competition, to learn exactly what I do to grow Elephant in the Room. And still, they won’t implement it, which to me is a competitive advantage.

Aaron Antis:

Big time.

Clay Clark:

Right here, I’m tracking how many clients we turned away, how many calls we made, how many clicks we had, what we spent on ads, how many leads came in. And I track it all. And that’s how I do it. I measure what I treasure.

So, let’s recap. You got to say no to grow. You want to schedule key performance indicators into your schedule. Three, install a tracking sheet. Four, install a merit-based pay system. Five, this is big, surround yourself only with non-nefarious people. Nefarious means people that are intentionally causing harm. That’s what the word nefarious means. Nefarious is people that are intentionally causing harm.

And I’ve had people in my life, in my business, when I say have had, as recently as 12 months ago, as recently as 12 days ago, as recently as probably 12 hours ago, who have been in my business. And when I discover that somebody is, and you say, “Well, you have people in your business that aren’t good people.” I have hundreds of employees. So, what happens is I’m going to discover it and I’ll say, okay, okay. The Bible says he that walketh with wise men shall be wise, but a companion of fools shall suffer harm.

And I’ll see somebody, I’ll just give you an example, it’s in the past far enough. We had a very, very good videographer who kept getting women he wasn’t married to pregnant. It kept happening. It wasn’t once, it wasn’t twice, three times that I knew of.

Aaron Antis:

He probably didn’t understand how that worked.

Clay Clark:

There you go. And so, what happened is he would do the video work and he’d be very consistent and then he would have a personal issue and he can’t come into work. It’s the first time I thought, “That’s very unlike this guy. I wonder what happened?” He said, “I have a personal issue.” He’s a new employee. Six months later, same kind of thing. Dropped off a cliff, no call, no show, didn’t show up. Sends a text, “Hey, I got a personal issue.”

Aaron Antis:

Personal issue.

Clay Clark:

So, I said, “What’s going on? He’ said, “Well, I got this girl pregnant and you know what?” Then I started realize this is what he does.

Aaron Antis:

Yeah, it’s the move.

Clay Clark:

And this is, and then so, and I’m like, ‘Really? Wow. Okay.” Well then, the third time it happened again, I’m going, “This guy, has been on my staff for less than three years. He’s got three women pregnant that I know about. I mean, this guy, he is populating the earth.

Aaron Antis:

Yes, he is.

Clay Clark:

Which he was not married to. And every time, it would happen, there’s a drama, flakiness. “Can you advance my check? Hey, could you advance my check? Hey, could you pay me cash?” “Why?” “Well, I just need to be paid cash because I’m not trying to report it.” I’m like, “No, I have to report your income.”

Aaron Antis:

Wow.

Clay Clark:

Hey, is there any way you can advance my check? Hey-

Aaron Antis:

Well, you know, in the Bible, there’s three things that are called the curse of the law. It brings poverty, sickness, and death. And when you’re running around doing that, you’re going to be poorer. You’re going to bring sickness and disease on yourself. And eventually, if you get somebody mad enough because you were sleeping around with somebody else’s wife, you’re going to find yourself dead.

Clay Clark:

Oh, boy. Yeah, those things don’t-

Aaron Antis:

Don’t ever pan out real well.

Clay Clark:

Now, the next point, number six, you want to implement only proven systems. Only implement proven systems.

Aaron Antis:

Proven systems, yeah.

Clay Clark:

I don’t have time to live long enough to do guesswork.

Aaron Antis:

You want to stand on the shoulders of giants. That’s what you want to do. Instead of trying to see over the top yourself, you want to find somebody who’s already done it. Somebody has already figured it out.

Clay Clark:

Now, Brian Tracy was a bestselling author that I used to listen to all the time when I was driving around back in the day when you had a CD player in your car. A lot of times when I was driving, I turned my drive time into my classroom. And that idea was first put in my mind by Robert Kiyosaki, by Napoleon Hill. Other people that said, try to take your driving time or your time where you’re maybe not really thinking, instead of listening to the radio, talk radio, business radio. Instead of listening to talk radio or political radio, maybe start listening to self-help radio.

Aaron Antis:

Well, I had a mentor tell me, he said, “Aaron, turn your car into a mobile university.” And he said, “Three years from now, you’re either going to have a PhD in something you wanted to have a PhD in, or you’re going to know all the lyrics to all the pop 40 songs that are becoming old.”

Clay Clark:

There it is.

Aaron Antis:

And that’s to be a value of zero. But having a PhD in for my existence, for real estate, he’s like, “What would that be worth to you?” And I thought, “I’m going to turn my car into a traveling university, that makes a lot of sense.”

Clay Clark:

It’s so powerful. And I’m going to read this notable quotable from Brian Tracy. He said, “No one lives long enough to learn everything that they need to learn starting from scratch. To be successful, we absolutely, positively have to find people who have already paid the price to learn the things that we need to learn to achieve our goals. No one lives long enough to learn everything that they need to learn starting from scratch. To be successful, we absolutely, positively have to find people who’ve already paid the price to learn the things we need to learn to achieve our goals.”

Aaron Antis:

Well, it’s like you can either learn from mentors or mistakes, one or the other. Your mentors have already made the mistakes and you can learn from them without the mistakes. And that’s where you want to go. I mean, why cause yourself extra pain when you don’t have to? Somebody else has already experienced that pain. They’re willing to mentor you. And mentoring can be remote as well as in-person, so you can already find those mentors out there who are willing to share with you.

If you want to find a great mentor, one of the wealthiest people that’s ever lived on the face of the earth and one of the wisest, the wisest person who’s ever lived on the face of the earth, you can get a 15-minute session with that person every day. If you just read the book of Proverbs. There’s 31 chapters. Read every day. Read one chapter and that’s takes you through the whole month and keep rereading that and you’ll have great wisdom from somebody who was wealthy and wise. And you can do the same thing with the traveling university in your car.

Clay Clark:

Now, let me walk everybody through the solutions we have on today’s show I can give you. And again, if you open up your book here, again, go to thrivetimeshow.com/millionaire. You can see this particular page, Page 32. But these are all the days, I would encourage you as a homework assignment, circle the days off. Circle the days you took off this past year from sowing seeds and determine how realistic it is for you to plan on reaping a harvest this year.

Aaron Antis:

And a whole bunch of people are going to look at this list and they’re going to be like, “Not only did I take that day off, but I took the day before and the day after.”

Clay Clark:

There you go.

Aaron Antis:

Two days before and two days after on a lot of these things. That’s what people do when they request time off in our company. When we get those requests where they’re like, “Well, I don’t just need that day. I need the two days before and the two days after. I got people coming into town. I got to clean.”

Clay Clark:

Coming into town.

Aaron Antis:

I got to prep food, and I’m throwing a big thing.

Clay Clark:

It’s got to be huge.

Aaron Antis:

It’s going to be big, oh.

Clay Clark:

You got to take off the week to get ready. The family is coming in next week, so I got to take off this week to get ready for Christmas. Well, Christmas just happened. Now, I’m just trying to get caught up.

Aaron Antis:

It’s a 30-day holiday.

Clay Clark:

So, what you can do is you can take a screenshot of these days off and you can figure out if you want to take these days off. Because I’m telling you, if you don’t sow the seeds, you won’t reap a harvest. Now, let me give you a bunch of free stuff here, okay, folks? So, first off, if you go here to thrivetimeshow.com and you click on the Testimonials button, you click on the Testimonials button, you go here. We’ve got over 2000 verifiable client success stories recorded via video.

I want to be very clear. There are 2000 people on video we’ve work with. So, let me just show you an example. This is Charles Colaw. He runs colawfitness.com. Here we go.

Charles Colaw:

Hello. My name is Charles Colaw with Colaw Fitness. Today, I want to tell you a little bit about Clay Clark and how I know Clay Clark. Clay Clark has been my business coach since 2017. He’s helped us grow from-

Clay Clark:

There’s 2000 people that will explain to you how we’ve helped them, so if you’re wanting to know that you can do it, you can find them there. Second, we have workshops. And I talk about this. I’m going to talk about it with increasing intensity in the coming days, months, years, et cetera, because people tell me they didn’t know.

The way we do the workshops, you go to thrivetimeshow.com, you click on the Business Conferences button and you could pay whatever price you want to pay. I always tell people it’s 250 bucks or whatever you want to pay.

Aaron Antis:

It sounds like a good price.

Clay Clark:

On the Reawaken America Tour, we do the same thing. And I never thought of it as being like some genius move. I just felt like when you grow up poor and you can’t afford a $3,000 conference, or you feel like you’re going to go to a conference where you’re being upsold, because we’ve all been to a conference where they’re trying to upsell us or $3,000 a ticket, it can leave you feeling like you don’t have any options. But when you go to our events, you can name your price. You can attend a two-day in-person workshop.

We tell people, we’d love it if you pay $250, but you can pay whatever price you want to pay. It’s two days. We start off at 7:00 AM. We go till approximately 3:00 PM every day. It’s interactive. We cap attendance at a 100, 150 people. It takes place at my office in Tulsa. We answer every single question that people have. That’s a resource for you.

The next is you can download the books for free at thrivetimeshow.com/millionaire. And the other thing you can do is you can schedule a free consultation today with me. Now, someone says, “How does that work?” You just go here and you go, “Where’s that button?” Trying to find that button. Got to be persistent with business growth consulting. Okay, and I click here, boom, and you can schedule a free consultation.

Someone says, “Why would I do a free consultation?” I like to schedule a free consultation. Aaron, when you go to shawhomes.com and people are thinking about buying a new house, a $350,000 house, why do you do a free consultation? And why don’t you charge people $400 for the first consultation?

Aaron Antis:

Because they have no idea what we offer, what it’s going to be like. They want to have proper expectations of what the experience is going to be like. They probably have some questions about what’s involved? How much money do I need? What’s the process going to be like? So, it’s really about setting expectations and then understanding them. And that’s why we do that.

Clay Clark:

So, again, you can schedule a free one-on-one 13-point business analysis consultation with me. That’s me. I’m Clay Clark. And you can do that and I’ll put a link here just to make it easy for you. These are all things you can do. And some people say, “Well, why do I only take on 160 clients?” I’ll explain this to you. I love what I do, but I want to be accessible to my clients.

So, we’ve worked with our mutual friend, James for years. I’ve worked with you for years. I’ve worked with Steve Carrington for years. A lot of these people I’ve worked with for years, and the average client will work with me for five and six years. So, I don’t want to have thousands and thousands of clients. That’s why we have the workshops. We can do that. But I want to help you grow your business.

So, if you’re serious about growing your business and you say, “I want to do that,” that’s what we do. And I’m going to walk you through how we do it and that way, everybody has 100% clarity about how we do it, why we do it, the whole deal. So, the first thing we do here is, let me put it in non-white font so everyone can see it. Whenever it’s in white font or a white background, that’s always a passive-aggressive move. Let me pull it up here.

Okay, so we do the graphic design, the photography, the print pieces, the branding, the digital marketing, the systems creation. We help people with their bookkeeping, their workflow. Why? Well, because when you grow a business, learning these things is not helpful if you can’t apply what you’re learning. So, if you get to go to Page 4 of the BOOM book, let me zoom out a little bit here so we can all see this Page 4 of the BOOM book. Here we go, scrolling down, and there it is. Okay.

You’re going to have to learn how to set your goals. You’re going to have to learn from an accounting perspective what your break even point is. You got to build a schedule that works for your family. You have to build a turnkey marketing system. You have to improve your branding. You have to develop your unique value proposition. You have to develop a sales conversion system. You have to develop a process for tracking how much it costs to acquire customers. You have to build processes, checklists, and systems for everything.

You’ve got to build a human resources recruitment process so you can find good people. You’ve got to develop a sustainable schedule that works for your family. You have to manage employees to make sure that they’re following the systems and processes. You have to do your accounting. And at the end of the day, we want to make sure you have enough time available to enjoy it.

So, these are all the things that we’re going to do here. And I would just encourage you folks, if you’re on the fence and you’re saying, “You know what? Is this going to be my year? Is this going to be the year where I finally achieve success?” One, you’ve got to create the time needed to start a super successful business.

Aaron Antis:

Yes, you do. You got to sow the seeds.

Clay Clark:

And Aaron, we probably could have done a four-hour long show about all the ways you can carve out time. But at the end of the day, the recap is you have to say no to grow. You’ve got a scheduled time for your key performance indicator activities, which you call the income producing activities. You’ve got to install a tracking sheet, so you know what works, what doesn’t. You’ve got to install a merit-based pay system, so that people are getting paid based on their performance.

You’ve got to surround yourself with non-nefarious people and you’ve got to make sure you’re only implementing proven systems and processes. And I encourage everybody, don’t just be a hero of this conversation, but be somebody who’s focused on activation. Go to thrivetimeshow.com, schedule your free consultation. Book your attendance at our in-person workshop. We want to help you grow.

Aaron, I’ll give you the final word before we end the show with the BOOM, because BOOM stands for Big, Overwhelming, Optimistic Momentum. And that’s what it takes to grow. It’s big, overwhelming, optimistic momentum. What’s the final thing you want to share as all the listeners out there, Sir?

Aaron Antis:

Yeah. Well, we started off with you need to sow seeds. And here’s the thing, if you’re that farmer and you don’t sow seeds, you’re going to have dirt. But what’s going to happen is you’re going to get a bunch of weeds in the dirt. And I think there’s a lot of people probably watching this, listening to this, who you’ve not been cultivating your dirt, you’ve not been sowing your seeds and you got a bunch of weeds going on. Now is the time to start pulling those weeds out and going…

Clay Clark:

Pull those weeds out.

Aaron Antis:

… “Hey, I’ve been doing the three-week long Christmas vacation. I’ve been doing all these holidays.” You look at that holiday sheet. Those are just the weeds you got to pull out.

Clay Clark:

There you go.

Aaron Antis:

And then in its place, you got to put some seeds. I think the best first seed you could put in would be to make the phone call. Go ahead and get ahold of Clay. Get your 13-point assessment set up and find out if it’s right for you. Go through that assessment. You’re going to learn a lot in the assessment. And it will tell you if this is right for you.

Clay Clark:

I’ll tell you what, folks. I’m fired up to meet you. My name’s Clay Clark. I’d love to meet you at our in-person workshop there. Those are a great way to meet. Either way, let’s focus on implementation, not just listening to this conversation. And we’re going to end the show with a boom. So, here we go, 3, 2, 1.

Charles Colaw:

Hello, my name is Charles Colaw with Colaw Fitness. Today, I want to tell you a little bit about Clay Clark and how I know Clay Clark. Clay Clark has been my business coach since 2017. He’s helped us grow from two locations to now six locations. We’re planning to do seven locations in seven years and then franchise.

And Clay has done a great job of helping us navigate anything that has to do with running the business, building the systems, the checklists, the workflows, the audits. How to navigate lease agreements, how to buy property, how to work with brokers and builders. This guy is just an amazing. He’s key. This guy has worked in every single industry.

He’s written books with Lee Crockwell, head of Disney with the 40,000 cast members. He’s friends with like Mike Lindell. He does Reawaken America Tours where he does these tours all across the country where 10,000 or more people show up to some of these tours on the day to day. He does anywhere from about 160 companies. He’s at the top.

He has a team of business coaches, videographers and graphic designers and web developers. And they run 160 companies every single week. So, think of this guy with a team of business coaches running 160 companies. So, in the weekly, he’s running 160 companies. Every six to eight weeks, he’s doing Reawaken America tours. Every six to eight weeks, he’s also doing business conferences where 200 people show up and he teaches people a 13-step proven system that he’s done and worked with billionaires, helping them grow their companies.

So, he’s seen guys from startups, go from startup to being multimillionaires. Teaching people how to get time freedom and financial freedom through the system. Critical thinking, document creation, making it, putting it into organizing everything in their head to building it into a franchisable scalable business. One of his businesses has 500 franchises. That’s just one of the companies or brands that he works with.

So, amazing guy. Elon Musk-like smart guy. He comes off sometimes as socially awkward, but he’s so brilliant and he’s taught me so much. When I say that Clay is like he doesn’t care what people think when you’re talking to him. He cares about where you’re going in your life and where he can get you to go. And that’s what I like him most about. He’s like a good coach. A coach isn’t just making you feel good all the time. A coach is actually helping you get to the best you. And Clay has been an amazing business coach.

Through the course of that, we became friends. I was really most impressed with him is when I was shadowing him. One time, we went into a business deal and I listened to it. I got to shadow and listen to it. And when we walked out, I knew that he could make millions on the deal. And they were super excited about working with him

And he told me, he’s like, “I’m not going to touch it. I’m going to turn it down.” Because he knew it was going to harm the common good of people in the long run, and the guy’s integrity just really wowed me. It brought tears to my eyes to see that this guy, his highest desire was to do what’s right. And anyways, just an amazing man.

So, anyways, he impacted me a lot. He’s helped navigate anytime I’ve gotten nervous or worried about how to run the company or navigating competition and an economy. I remember we got closed down for three months. He helped us navigate on how to stay open, how to get back open, how to just survive through all the COVID shutdowns, lockdowns because our clubs were all closed for three months and you have $350,000 of bills you’ve got to pay, and we have no accounts receivable. He helped us navigate that.

And of course, we were conservative enough that we could afford to take that on for a period of time. Anyway, he’s a great man. I’m very impressed with him. So, Clay, thank you for everything you’re doing. And I encourage you, if you haven’t ever worked with Clay, work with Clay. He’s going to help magnify you. And there’s nobody I have ever met that has the ability to work as hard as he does. He probably sleeps for maybe six hours a day, and literally, the rest of the time he’s working and he can outwork everybody in the room every single day and he loves it.

So, anyways, this is Charles Colaw with Colaw Fitness. Thank you, Clay. And anybody out there that’s wanting to work with Clay, it’s a great, great opportunity to ever work with him. So, you guys have a blessed one. This is Charles Colaw. We’ll see you guys. Bye-bye.

Speaker 1:

The Thrivetime Show two-day interactive business workshops are the highest and most reviewed business workshops on the planet.

Clay Clark:

You can learn the proven 13-point business systems that Dr. Zoellner and I have used over and over to start and grow successful companies. When we get into the specifics, the specific steps on what you need to do to optimize your website, we’re going to teach you how to fix your conversion rate. We’re going to teach you how to do a social media marketing campaign that works. How do you raise capital? How do you get a small business loan?

We teach you everything you need to know here during a two-day, 15-hour workshop. It’s all here for you. You work every day in your business, but for two days, you can escape and work on your business and build these proven systems, so now you can have a successful company that will produce both the time freedom and the financial freedom that you deserve. You’re going to leave energized, motivated, but you’re also going to leave empowered.

The reason why I’ve built these workshops is because as an entrepreneur, I always wish that I had this and because there wasn’t anything like this, I would go to these motivational seminars with no money down real estate, Ponzi scheme, get motivated seminars. And they would never teach me anything. It was like you went there and you paid for the big chocolate Easter Bunny, but inside of it was a hollow nothingness. And I wanted the knowledge. And they’re like, “Oh, but we’ll teach you the knowledge after our next workshop.”

And the great thing is we have nothing to upsell. At every workshop, we teach you what you need to know. There’s no one in the back of the room trying to sell you some next big, get rich quick, walk on hot coals product. It’s literally, we teach you the brass tax, the specific stuff that you need to know to learn how to start and grow a business. And I encourage you to not believe what I’m saying.

And I want you to Google the Z66 auto auction. I want you to Google Elephant in the Room. Look at Robert Zoellner and Associates. Look them up and say, “Are they successful because they’re geniuses or are they successful because they have a proven system?” When you do that research, you will discover that the same system that we use in our own business can be used in your business.

Come to Tulsa, book a ticket, and I guarantee you, it’s going to be the best business workshop ever and we’ll even give you your money back if you don’t love it. We’ve built this facility for you and we’re excited to see you.
