I’m John Rankin Bacher. I’m from Hampton, Iowa. My brother and his best friend invited me along. I’m very entrepreneurial-minded and thought it might be able to further my education, and maybe be able to create my own business someday. I’ve learned make a schedule and stick to it. Start implementing things and just find a system that works and stick to it. Very interesting and different from what I would expect most business conferences to be. And it keeps you entertained and you don’t want to just fall asleep, and you’re learning enough that it’s very fun, I guess.

My name’s Eric Pearce. I am with Vested Networks in Lewisville, Texas. So Vested Networks is in the telecom industry. We’re a premium hosted voice over IP telephone company.
The best thing I have learned. Gosh, that’s hard. Be authentic all the time. Be transparent, be direct. I’ve known that for a long time, but it’s nice to hear somebody reinforce that because I get in trouble at work for being that way sometimes. It’s awesome. The energy is fantastic. At three o’clock I’m exhausted, but it’s great energy. Clay’s awesome. He’s obviously the mad scientist of this whole thing, which is a good thing. But yeah, I’ve never met anybody like him in my life.

My name is July Syko and I am originally from Canada. The best thing I’ve learned at the conference is, I would say just a well rounded knowledge on being a thorough person. On all your processes, all of the things you’re pulling together, that you are diligent, that you’re intentional about everything that you do. And I also love that it’s not an impossible system.
I would describe Clay’s presentation style as unorthodox. He’s very down to earth. He’s extremely candid. He’s very honest. And the atmosphere here is, they’re bringing you up to a higher standard and it’s not like any other business environment that I’ve ever seen before, as far as wanting you to succeed. And I feel like everything’s different the way they go about doing everything, but there’s an intention behind all of it at the same time.
So what makes this conference different? I’ve been to a lot of business conferences for a particular MLM business in the past, and it was kind of like you’re just going to focus on our business as succeeding. And I feel like this is giving me encouraging ways to, whatever you decide to do in life, whatever you decide to grab onto and run with, we want you to succeed in doing that and give you all of the tools that you need for that. So, I don’t know, there’s a lot of different ways that it’s unique.

I’m Sarah Green and I am from Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The name of my business is Macro Meals and we are in the food industry, meal prep. The best thing I’ve learned so far is how to implement hiring strategies to employ the best people, and how to do the group interview.
The presentation style is fabulous. It is high energy. Lots and lots of content but actionable. So honestly, I’ve never been to another business conference. But I’ve been to these business conferences at least three times, so highly, highly recommend. You’ll get something different out of it every single time that you come.

My name is Rinda Myers. I live in Coweta. My business name is Kurb to Kitchen, LLC. We do home remodeling and painting. The best thing I have learned so far is just the importance, I think, of systems and having everything written down so that everything can run smoothly every day. Clay’s presentation style is definitely high energy. I know that’s a phrase he uses a lot and he’s just very motivating for us to make the changes that he’s recommending that will really help our business grow. This conference is different from any business conferences I’ve been to because I feel like he really cares about the success of our business.

I actually work for Clay Clark. He is the boss. I work for the Make Your Life Epic side. We do sales calls and a whole bunch of other stuff. The best thing I’ve learned so far at the conference is you want to make sure you’re on top on Google. Get those Google reviews, make sure you’ve got your search engine optimization all optimized and ready to go. That way you can stay on top. Some people will pick out your business first. The atmosphere here is great. It’s loud. As you can hear in the background, you hear the music pumping? It’s like that every day at work, you’ve got the music pumping, you’ve got the energy high. There’s no mopers around here, so no mopey moods and his presentation style is very eccentric and straight forward. He tells you how it is and if you don’t like it, it’s probably not going to be a good fit for you. But he is a great guy. He does a lot of great stuff and just the presentation is all straight forward and tells you how it is.
What makes this conference different is the fact that everybody around you, let me jump out of the way here, everybody back there is somebody that is working under Clay, so you’ve got the opportunity to network and meet new people that may or may not be in the same industry you’re in, but they’ve all got the same problems. They’re wanting to grow their business and didn’t really know how. All the different coaches, the different companies are here to help and to take care of that for you.

My name is Eddie Riker Bacher and I’m from Iowa. I am a Forester Consultant and my business is Compass Forrester Consulting. We’re based out of Eldora, Iowa. Well this is my second time here at the Thrive Time Show and there’s always a lot of information that I pick up. One of the biggest things that I learned this time was the whole invoicing and getting, making sure that we’re not invoicing and making it more of a process that we can work on together with the client and getting it right away.
Clay’s presentation style is awesome. It’s very entertaining and his jokes are great and the style here is very fun, uplifting and it really brings a lot of small business owners together and it just makes it a really cool atmosphere.
I haven’t been to many other business conferences, but I can imagine that there’s some conferences out there that give a lot of stuff to not really get you anywhere. It’s a lot of ideas of where you want to be, but not telling you or how to actually get there and the steps that you need to do to get in there.

I’m Brian Wilson and I’m Denal Cole. We’re with Fury BBQ Sauce. We heard about the conference, I actually heard it on the business podcast a long time ago before we became clients and then we actually became ThriveTime clients for business coaching and got enrolled in the conference a couple of weeks ago through our coach. Everything that we’ve learned, we’ve learned so much. We’re going to take a lot from it. 100% I think definitely it is going to make us better, for sure.
I’d recommend it to anybody that even before you’re starting a business to know all this information because we’re a fairly new business and we’ve grown so fast and so quick, even just… And we’re growing, I mean just with Google Reviews, not even knowing about that. I mean we’ve gone from 20 to like almost overnight to almost 70 reviews. Just growing, having one event that was recommended by Clay Clark. Yeah, so if just starting or you’ve been doing it for a long time, come to the conference, do this, you’re going to benefit from it tremendously.
I’d recommend it to anybody really. I mean, anybody, even if you’ve been around for a while and you look at you’re… I’ve seen clients out there with people who’ve been in business for 20 years and they got 10 Google reviews. You know, you don’t know about SEO optimization or having your Google My Business, anything like that, you know? I mean, the cost alone, coming is worth that.

My name is Abigail McCarter, and I am from Tulsa, Oklahoma. I don’t have a business, but I always want to learn, so that’s why I came.
The best thing I’ve learned so far is definitely organization, schedule-wise, always keeping a to-do list, keeping your calendar organized. I’m kind of all over the place, so that’s always good to know.
So, Clay’s presentation style and the atmosphere is electric. It’s so energetic, it’s so fun. Clay is hilarious, but also knows a ton, so it’s just really great all round. This conference is much different than any other business workshop or conference I’ve gone to. Again, because it’s fun. A lot of other business conferences, it’s really quiet, really cold, and you just kind of get bored. But this one, you’re always engaged, you’re always learning something, and there are … the staff is amazing. They’re always super helpful, so it’s just been really great.

I’m Will Brown. I’m with Vested Networks. We’re over in Dallas, Texas. I work with Vested Networks. We’re a phone company, so we do business phones for everybody. I’d say the best thing I’ve probably learned so far, is just how important it is to document procedures. And to just make a set process for everything you do, because it’s so easy to just want to, “Yeah, just do it.” Or like, “Just go sell things.” And then not tell them how or find any way to replicate.
I would say Clay’s presentation style is very unique and fun and he can seem like a jerk, but he’s hilarious and nice at the same time, somehow. But it works and it’s enjoyable. This is the only conference where the head speaker and every speaker has actually talked to me and I felt like a person and not just an attendee.
“They have taught me to be proactive and how to be a little more organized.”
My name is Kylee Blehm and I am from Broken Arrow. The business name is Beyond Athletica and I design athletic wear for women. Thrive is definitely taught me to be more organized. And how to be proactive. So I was always reacting to whatever was happening in my business, which means we weren’t really growing, we were staying stagnant. And they have taught me to be proactive and how to be a little more organized. Clay’s presentation style is wild, in a good way. He has a very good way of delivering things to you. He uses humor, but he’s also serious, cut throat to the point, no excuses kind of guy. And I think as a business person you can appreciate that because there’s no excuses.
I love this conference from the first time that I came here because they weren’t here to sell you anything. They were literally here to teach you what to do in your business. And so I walked away as a business coaching client of theirs after coming the first time, even though it was something I didn’t feel like I could necessarily afford, I made a way to do it. And it’s definitely paid off as I’ve been using him for the last couple months.
