Are you living the life you want to live in? Or do all of your responsibilities and commitments overwhelm your day? Are you constantly putting out burning fires and allowing tasks to be put off to the next day? Lee Cockerell, the former head of Walt Disney who managed 40,000 employees says “Time management is not about managing your time, it’s about keeping your whole life under control. Plan the life you want or live the life you don’t want.”

Everyone has the ability to live the life they want. Now, what is the life you want to live in? A year from now where do you want to be in life? To help decide, start by writing out your business coach goals. Your goals will determine what you are spending your day on. When you write out your goals make sure to cover the F6 goals. The F6 goals cover the six areas of life that, if you are a living breathing human, think about on a daily basis. The F6 goals are faith, family, finance, fitness, friends, & fun.
When are you going to spend time on your goals? This is the part where we break out the calendar. It may be an old school spiral-bound planner or you may use Google Calendar. Regardless of which calendar you are using go ahead and grab it. Start with, what are you going to stop doing so that you have time to do what you need to do in order to get to your 6 goals. We all have the same twenty-four hours in a day. It may seem impossible at first to find time for all of the things you want and need to do. Take a step back and ask yourself if you can commit to waking up prior to 6 am. The reason to be up and around before 6 am is to allows you to prepare before the world wakes up and be able to set aside time in the day when nobody is awake yet. This reduces the amount of time spent trying to finish your work while dealing with distractions and interruptions from family, employees, & friends.
Now that you are able to get more done prior to everyone waking up, block out time for your goals. When are you going to spend time on each goal? My husband and I schedule time out every day for our faith & fitness goals. We also have a set budget time each Sunday after payday. We schedule two hours for looking over our expenses and bills. Dinner every couple of weekends with family. Game nights with friends, and date night for fun. All six of our F6 goals are blocked out in the calendar and we make sure to stick with our business coach schedule.
It is possible for any person who wants to be successful. I truly believe this to be true but I also believe most people will never see success or be happy. It takes daily diligence to keep going back to the grindstone and hitting the mark every single week. Grab your calendar and don’t waste another second. List out what you want to accomplish. Write out the steps to accomplish your business coach goals and get started today!
