At the Thrivetime Show, I think those of us who have been here a little while tend to take for granted all of the knowledge and powerful resources we have access to every day. As a business coach for the Thrivetime Show, I’ve been coaching for over one year now. I’ve executed Clay’s 13-Point System with my coaching clients over thirty times now and I’ve watched it be done, probably hundreds of times. But where do you start when you begin a new thing? You decide it’s time to leave the wage cage, and you… YOU… are going to start making some residual income baby. WHOO HOO! Where do you start?
Well, if this is you, let’s talk. First of all, you aren’t going to actually make money for a while. Unless you are the exception, the few, rare companies or industries that magically bleed nothing but profit straight out the gate on unicorn island, most people must go through a period of loss before they breakeven. So how do you even begin to decide if that’s the move for you?
START. HERE. Seriously, start here. —>https://www.thrivetimeshow.com/free-resources/

Before you ever get started, you have to make sure you have a solid product first.
In this book, Clay talks about getting started. Before you ever get started, you have to make sure you have a solid product first. YOU HAVE TO SELL 100 SOMETHINGS FIRST. You can’t get solid feedback on your product or service until you work out all of the kinks, or in other words, you sell through trial and error 100 units, 100 widgets, 100 somethings to the rest of the world, get immediate feedback, and refine.
You see, as a business coach, we’re required to read Start Here as part of our training. Naturally, we all know the book and we’re familiar with what is taught in the Start Here book. Since our blogs are about things we learned through the week, I’m not sure how you would classify this one.
Nonetheless, this week I learned something from Clay. Well, I re-learned something that I needed to be reminded of. I learned something from Clay when reading the Start Here book the first time. Again, the times I refer to my highlights and notes. Yet again, I learned more Wednesday in person. As a business coach, I help execute the system and teach what’s in the Start Here book, yet I thought I could skip a few steps in the process. Nope. Back to the fundamentals. Back to the basics it is.
So, what did I learn exactly this week at the Thrivetime Show as a business coach? Well first, it’s time to go back to the Start Here book. I was reminded that sometimes in business, you simply go back to the basics. The fundamental blocks of taking on a new client, starting a new business, branching out into a new service, it all is a time to bring you back to the fundamentals. Back to where you started. It’s never a bad thing to re-learn new things. And yes… I realize that sentence was a paradox. Go with it.
