Your brain is the most powerful weapon in the world. Once you put away your phones and your computers and all that we have nowadays, yes, great, we’re up to date, you know, but your brain is the only thing you have when you’re going through depression, when you’re going through hard times, you’re going to but there’s 24 hours in the day where you’re alone in this brain and your brain is talking to you in all kind of ways and it wants to control you, pull you in these different pockets if you can’t control your own brain and your brain controls you you gotta tell your brain where you wanna go and how you wanna go and how you want to get there. You got to control it. If not, it’s over. What existed for me was, okay, man, how am I going to make this work? And all I knew back then was hard work. The only way anything gets accomplished. I saw I heard back in those days, you got to work hard. You got to work hard. I’m not getting how to. I can’t get this paragraph? I can’t remember what the f*** is in this paragraph to pass this test to get in the military Read it again Still not getting it read it again, but if not getting it write it out and that’s how I started learning Okay. Well, I can’t I gotta write out everything I do and then write it out again and write it out again And guess what happened? I got it I got it. I can’t swim. I’m negative buoyant. Go back again. I can’t swim, go back again. Go back again. Go back again. I got it. I realized if I keep going back and going back and going back until the sh… just becomes, your mind will say, okay, we’re going to figure it out because he is not going to stop. It’s not like, I’m going to try one more time. No, it’s just like alarm clock goes off, boop, we’re going back. I can’t read right, we’re going back. I gave myself no way out and my mind realized that. It’s okay, we’re going to adapt and overcome now. Like a lot of people say, trying hard. Your mind knows, man. It knows this guy’s bull****ing me, man. This guy’s lying. There’s no truth behind it. When I was in the Navy SEAL training, people would go, how were you there for 18 months? The program was only six months long. You were in three hell weeks in one year. No one’s ever done that. How did you do that? I talk about the new norm. When I lived in a $7 a month place and I was growing up for a short period of time, I loved it. I know you I know you different that was my norm once we moved out of that place we moved to $236 a month place I’m like I never want to go back to that little piece of sh** but if you go back to that $7 a month place and you realize this is where I live this all I got your mind says Roger that this is home so when I was going to Navy SEAL training for 18 months and going back to all the hard parts over and over again I told myself after the first time I knew it was gonna be a long journey there. My body was breaking down it was it was just how it was going on. I said you know what this is my new norm. So my mind said it’s like going to work like you go to work you put your suit and tie on I go into suffering every day. Every day suffering, being broken, duct tape my feet up, stress fracture, shin splints, being broken. This is my new norm. And your mind says if we’re not broken this ain’t normal. We got to be broken. So then your mind starts to get tougher and tougher and more calc. People, how did you run on broken feet? Broken, broken shins. My mind knew this is how we operate. We’re Navy SEAL training. This is what we are. I became hell. And that became my new norm. I gave myself no way out. There was nothing outside these walls of hell. Nothing. I became, I love God, but for a short period of time I became the devil. Because that was hell. I became, I became the boss, the owner, the CEO of Navy SEAL Training. That was my mindset. And that’s how you get through things. You put yourself, you immerse yourself in wherever it is, you become that. You become that and give yourself no way out. When I was 297 pounds and I was fat as hell trying to be a Navy SEAL, the scariest thing in the world to me, even to this day, was that that could have been the rest of my life. I thought then I was trying hard. That’s the scariest thing in the world. I thought then 297 pound working for Ecolab, spraying for cockroaches, making $1,000 a month. I thought that was me at my 100% potential. to find out a few years later I wasn’t anywhere near that. 106 pounds less, graduated Navy Seal training, went on to do all these other things. Looking back on that, that was me trying hard. That’s why people got to understand what is in us, we have no idea until we start trying hard. And I mean really trying hard where you’re obsessed with, hey, this is my new norm. My new norm is that, wow, this isn’t always fun. It’s not always meant to be fun. And that’s when you know you’re trying hard. People hear my story and think this guy is sadistic. I realized how the brain works. I figured out how the brain works. I’m a scared kid, and that’s what gives me so much power. I Had no foundation and I built this off of just research in the mind the feeling you get is basically invincibility You realize that you can’t do it all the time When you need to do it, I know I can go to a place That I can live in and when you know that you can run on broken legs and you can do certain things that a lot of people can do, but they’re not willing to do this power, this sympathetic nervous system of fight or flight and you’re fighting. It gives you this charge of energy of when you’re sitting there at three 30, four o’clock in the morning and you’re duct-taping your feet up because you’re broken and you’re doing it by yourself and you’re going through arguably one of the hardest training in the world and these guys most of them are healthy and you’re going through it broken and you are at a disadvantage but you’re still there you can feed into that and tap into that for a lot of power but if you look at it, well, I’m broken man, like I’m not gonna make it. If you look at it as man, I’m broken and I’m still here. And I’m fighting, I’m gonna find a way to get through this. Because I have no other place to go. It gives you a lot of power. When things start to suck really, really bad, my brain and a lot of people’s brain, they don’t go to your dad beating you up your brain says we ain’t out of here this is miserable so anger goes away a lot of times when you’re suffering because your brain just says we got to run we got to go so that anger is not popping up saying oh I’m gonna show them I want to show those people no there has to be a much deeper if I say deeper, it has to be down to mineral, mineral soil. It has to be down to that nice mineral soil where nothing can burn. You can’t burn dirt. So it has to be down that low that literally is something in you that’s at the core of your soul. But you don’t find it unless you spend a lot of time with what you wanna be in life. I can’t give that to you. You can’t give it to somebody. When you find your true passion in life, and my passion for me went like, oh, I wanna be in the Navy SEALs, Army Round Divisions. I wanna serve my country. I cared about, I want to be someone that I’m proud of. I want to look at myself in the mirror because I was so disappointed. That accountability mirror I talk about, I was so disappointed in what I saw every day. I wanted everybody to love David Goggins. And a lot of people did. I didn’t love myself. But I knew a lot of us want to find peace first. So people say, man, you always talk about this suffering and pain issue. I’m at peace right now because I went through that. You don’t find peace first. If you do, Merry Christmas, more power to you. More power to you. I found peace on the opposite end of finding myself and no one really finds himself without going through trials, tribulations, suffering, accountability, and accountability is suffering. Being accountable every day for doing right for yourself, for the people next to you, it’s miserable, it’s hard. So, you know, even the smallest details. On today’s show, the founder of Scribe Media joins us to talk about the importance of being intentional about who you spend your time with and why Napoleon Hill was absolutely right when he once famously wrote, you are the master of your destiny. You can influence, direct, and control your environment. You can make your life what you want it to be. They said, oh, you forgot where you came from. You forgot the hood. I go, hey, first of all, that is the point, is to get the hell out of the hood. I’m trying to forget where I came from. I keep mentally where I came from because I can never forget it. But the goal is not to represent the hood. The goal is to get out of the hood. And if you surround yourself with those same people who have those small-minded mentalities, you will stay right there with those individuals. You will never rise above. Today’s guest and the founder of Scribe Media shares why you need to write that book, and how to write that book, and why writing a book can change the game for your business. This guy’s the founder of the publishing company who has put together books for the famous comedian Tiffany Haddish and the New York Times best-selling author David Goggins. Today’s guest JT McCormick grew up in poverty and he was abused repeatedly as a kid. If this guy was looking for excuses or reasons or justifications to not be successful let me tell you he could find them but in the game of life there are whiners and there are winners. And today’s guest, JT McCormick, is the ultimate winner. When he could have chosen to become bitter, he chose to become better. If you’ve ever wanted to write a book, if you’ve ever wanted to upgrade your surroundings and to upgrade your social circle, this is the show for you. Some shows don’t need a celebrity narrator to introduce the show. But this show does. Two men. Eight kids. Co-created by two different women. Thirteen multi-million dollar businesses. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Thriving Time Show. Yes, yes, yes, and yes! Thrive Nation on today’s show, we are interviewing J.T. McCormick, the founder of Scribe Media, for part two of our Thrive Time show rendezvous. How are you, sir? My man, Clay, you know how I am. I’m always excellent. If you wake up in the morning and your feet hit the ground, you’ve got to be excellent. And for the listeners that are not familiar with your story, everybody needs to do a Google search for Thrive Time Show J.T. McCormick, because your story is incredible. But for those who might not have heard the show yet, can you kind of, I mean, now you’re at the top, Scribe Media is growing, doing very, very well, but talk to us, share with us the bottom of the bottom, take the listeners to the very bottom. What was the lowest of the low for you growing up? Well, the lowest of the low for me was, it had to be when I got left alone with my three half-brothers and sisters, and we got left in the house for three weeks. Their heroin addict mother left us in the house for three weeks in Dayton, Ohio, in the middle of February, and no one knew we were there. That had to be the lowest of the low. To give some more, I guess, context around that, you know the story. My father was a black pimp and drug dealer. He fathered 23 children. My mother was an orphan. I don’t know where my last name comes from. I was in and out of juvenile three different times. To this day, I still have no college degree and I barely graduated high school. So you have all of the reasons to be bitter, but you have chosen to be better. I mention that because you’ve gone through every kind of abuse imaginable, but now you’re the president and CEO of Scribe Media, which is now a huge, full-service publishing company that has put together, I believe, four New York Times best-selling authors. People like David Goggins, Tiffany Haddish. I mean, you have some huge authors you’ve worked with. Tell us how Scribe Media started and what Scribe Media is. So our two co-founders actually started it. So you’ve got Tucker Max, who’s one of three people in the history of the world that have had three New York Times best-selling books on the list simultaneously. Tucker Max, Malcolm Gladwell, and Michael Lewis are the only three people who have ever done that. So Tucker Max and Zach Oberon are the two co-founders, and yeah, you nailed it. We’ve grown, gosh, we’ve worked with over 1,600 authors now. Most recently, we just published the book for the Nobel Institute, as in the Nobel Peace Prize, so that was a big win for us. We kind of feel like, okay, credibility went through the roof on that one. If Nobel can work with this, anybody can work with this. But what it’s really set up for, Clay, is what I call ease of use. So many people want to do a book, but they don’t know where to start. They don’t know where to put fingers on the keyboard, pen to paper. And so what our system is set up to do is to allow you to speak your book. Sit back, grab your beverage of choice, let us pull that content from you. But the key is that when the book is done, it’s in your tone, your voice, your content, your book. So that’s the big win for us. We just want you to sit back, grab your beverage of choice, speak your book. It has been proven time and time again, one of the hardest things to do is to think and write at the same time. So we just want to take the thinking part out of it, and you don’t have to do any of the writing, and so you just speak your book to us. You just speak the book. Now, I’m on the website right now. I’m on scriberiding.com. I went to scribemedia.com, and then you can click where you can kind of see the services that you provide. And you have packages. One package starts at $10,000. It’s the Scribe publishing package. One is $15,000 for the Scribe guided author package. $36,000 for the Scribe professional. And I believe it’s $1 million to get a high five from J.T. McCormick. Let’s talk about your packages here. What separates a $10,000 package with us, what that is is basically publishing only. Let’s say, Clay, you went out and you wrote your manuscript yourself. You said, hey, great, JT, I’ve got all my words, I’ve got my content, I just need to flip my manuscript over the wall to you and you all can do the proofreading. And then from there, we help you with your cover design, the interior layout, we publish the book, we get it up on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iBook, so on and so forth. So that’s $10,000. Now we’ve got a lot of people who truly want to sit down and be earnest in any way and write the book. So we have a two-day workshop here in Austin. People come into town and we help you structure the outline. We put a writing schedule in place for you to where you can have your book written within about six months. And then we do also the publishing part on the back end as well. Again, cover design, interior layout, so on and so forth. So that’s $15,000 and then the $36,000 package is the one I walked you through in the beginning where you don’t actually do any of the writing. You sit back, speak your book out to us and let us do the heavy lifting. So you pay $36,000 or you pay $15,000 or you pay $10,000, now you have a book. What is the best way to market a book and how can an author monetize the book in terms of speaking or additional revenue streams? So again, if you have the book written now, how do you market the book and how can an author leverage the book and monetize it? So a couple of things there I’ll dive into one very important. When we work with our authors, we want to find out, okay, what’s the purpose of writing the book? You know, if someone says that, you know, I want to grow my business, I want to do more speaking, you know, I’m a consultant, I want to hire more clients, you know, lead generation, credibility, thought leadership, that’s who the individuals that we help mainly. Truth be told, we turn down about 35% of the people that come to us, the top two reasons we turn people away. Number one, they don’t have enough content for a book. We’re not going to sacrifice our reputation and quality on just slapping some stuff together for someone’s book. So that’s number one. If you don’t have enough content, we’ll turn you away. Number two, if you lead with, I want to be a New York Times bestselling writer and sell a million copies. Those individuals are looking for fame, so we kindly refer them over to the Kardashians because that’s not our business model. Oh, the fame department. But the people we’re looking to help are people who have a purpose for their book. Maybe they have a memoir and they want to pass their book down to their family, a legacy piece. That’s why I did my book. Maybe you want to grow your business. So the great majority of our authors, our CEOs, executives, entrepreneurs, those are the individuals we help. And I’ll give you a few stories here. We went through all of our published authors and we’ve got about 50 to 100 authors who have never sold more than 150 copies of their book, but they’ve landed multiple six and seven figure contracts for their business. So their book did exactly what they wanted it to do, which was raise the visibility for them and their business. So a book, let’s just say that I, you know, work with you to have you write a book, or maybe somebody out there already has a book and they do want to, not maybe say a million copies, but say they want to sell 50,000 copies. What would you say are move number one, move number two, move number three? What are just a couple moves that you would say, all right, Thrive Time Show listeners, if you have a book and you’re sitting on it, what are the best moves to get the books into the hands of their ideal and likely buyers? Without going into a sales pitch, we actually do have our author marketing package as well. We call it the book launch package where we help authors market their books. We, given how many authors we’ve worked with, we’ve got a long list of media connections that we work with and we’ll help authors get on podcasts, do contributed articles, help them with their social media. So we have, it’s not just the book, we have a whole supply chain, if you will, of, we’ll do the book for you, then we’ll help you market the book. Then we’ll continue to market the book for you, help you get on podcasts. And currently we’re working on helping authors craft their speech and speaking performance so they can get on stage as well. What does the marketing package cost for your book marketing service? It is $12,000 and it’s $4,000 a month over three months. Got it. Got it. Now let’s talk about this. Let’s say that I have my book. Why is a book more powerful than a business card? Why is a book more powerful than a business card? If you’re sitting on an airplane and you’re talking to the guy next to you, your new airplane friend and he says, hey, what do you do for a living? And you bust, he says, let me show you. You open up your duffel bag or your briefcase and you hand him a book and you give it to him. Why is that more powerful than a business card? So, I’m actually going to steal a story here from one of our wealth advisors we did a book for. So, and this is a very high profile wealth advisor, one of the top ten in the country, in fact. And so, he told me, he goes, hey, when I would sit with potential clients or clients, I’d wrap up my meeting and say, hey, here’s two of my business cards. If you know anybody, you know, please refer them over, let them know that I’d be happy to work with them. And he said, I knew before they left my office, they threw my business cards in the trash. He said, I already knew that. He said, but then I started giving them two copies of my book. And I said, hey, if you know anyone, please give them a free copy of my book, refer them over to me, be happy to help them. He said his business took off. And the reason being is now his prospective clients were incentivized because it made them look good. They’re like, hey, you know, use my guy. He wrote the book on XYZ. He said his business went through the roof on credibility because now he wrote the book on his niche in retirement. This is all very, very true. Now what excites me about your service is that I have a team in-house of graphic designers, photographers, web developers, proofreaders, all that kind of stuff. So for me, I can just sit down and bang out a book, but I also have a massive payroll. This is what they do for a living. And the average person does not have them. If you want to make my payroll for a month, you can do that, and then you’ll discover, wow, all those people get paid. So it’s a steal of a deal for $36,000 to have somebody like you, if you don’t have somebody like me, doing it for you. This is a great deal. I’ve heard of other services that make you pre-buy like 10,000 copies of a book, 5,000 copies of a book. I’ve heard of services that charge $50,000, some that charge $70,000, some that take years to get it done. How long does the process take? Suppose one of our show sponsors here, Mr. Paul Hood, reached out to you and said, hey, I want to hire you to write a book. How long does the process take? So a couple of things. It takes nine months, and that $36,000, you don’t have to stroke that check all at once. It’s $4,500 a month over eight months, and it’ll take seven to nine months to have your book completed. Paul Hood, you’re a show sponsor, therefore you get to take a look under the hood, and you get to ask J.T. McCormick any questions that you want. Now JT, just so you know, Paul Hood has multiple accounting practices. He has clients all over the country. HoodCPAs.com is his site. Paul Hood, meet JT McCormick. Yeah, JT, I don’t know if you remember me, but I met you when you came up here and spoke. I’m the guy that- I remember you, Paul. Paul, matter of fact, let me make sure I’ve got this correct. Paul, you were the gentleman that told the story about when your dad would drive down the street, you all were so poor you had to pull over and pick up the roadkill to eat dinner. Am I right? That would be me, my friend. Oh, wow. Still tasting that roadkill. It’s good stuff, man. I’ll tell you, your teeth get tough when you eat that kind of stuff, no doubt. Yeah. Hey, JT, I just, you know, we, Clay helped me write a book, and I’ve got that bug. So are there certain areas that you guys specialize in, do you think go better? For instance, in my case, we’ve gone one direction, written a book that’s more technical. Not necessarily technical, but how to people, avoiding potholes in business and in life financially. But also, I think I’ve got a story to tell that basically coming from a mom that was on, an alcoholic dad, and a mom that was on welfare, we just bought a 25,000 square foot house, so we do okay. So you know that, that progression, uh, and what I’ve learned and how I’ve got there with the American dream. So, you know, in your opinion, um, is, is there a direction that, that a guy like me that you would recommend, which, which path you should take? You know, first and foremost, I always ask potential authors the number one question, what’s the purpose of the book. If we’re at the end of this process, we’ve got all of your content, beautiful book, defined success. And I’ll use myself for an example. For me, success was having five copies of my book to be able to pass down to my children to have for a legacy piece because I had no legacy. I’ve always been just impressed with the Rockefellers, the Ford family who could trace So the number one question I always lead with is define success. If it’s to grow your business, great, then you’re the expert. Let’s dig into your expertise. Make sure we capture those details that make for a great book. One right off the bat, I got to put this out there. do is non-fiction. We do not do fiction. All non-fiction. All non-fiction. Okay, now Charles Kola, you have a very large business. You and your wife have built Kola Fitness together. And JT, these guys started in a $115,000 house in Barblesville, Oklahoma. And they trained people from Charles what, five in the morning? From five in the morning until ten o’clock at night? I took some four o’clock clients. From four a.m. until ten o’clock at night, six days a week? Sometimes, yeah. He converted his house into a gym. His wife’s cutting hair, doing the accounting, the finances. He’s out there doing the marketing, training clients. These two just went through hell and back while getting people in great shape. Now they have three locations of ColawFitness.com with two more big box gyms. One’s coming down to Texas to see you guys. They’re getting closer to you down there in Austin. They’re going to be in Dallas. They have another one in Oklahoma City with plans for many, many more. Charles Kolob, meet Mr. JT McCormick. Yes, JT. We met actually at a conference. I was the big guy, muscled up guy that had the gyms. I don’t know if you remember that. I remember. We were at Clay’s conference. I remember, sir. Yeah, you were awesome. Very inspirational story. You hit the hearts of many people. I think you did a great job of that. So thank you for doing that. What question would you have for JT? I appreciate it. Well JT, I just, we actually started a book with Clay, never finished it, and it would be great to get back in there. You know, for us, we’ve kind of achieved, you know, a point of where we can work as much or as little as we want, but we are wanting to grind and grow our company. Our company is a fitness center that’s focused on making Jesus Christ famous and changing lives through the fitness industry. fitness center that’s focused on making Jesus Christ famous and changing lives through the fitness industry. That’s actually our mission statement is to make Jesus famous and change lives through the platform that we have. And you know we got to stay 24% profitable to continue to grow. But we would like to finish a book that really does help people, make people lose weight, get in shape, also shares our heart that mainly doesn’t have to make a ton of money, but just impacts people in a way that they can basically create spiritual formation about Jesus Christ and also lose weight, get in shape and make a change in their life. I’ve done some training programs that have some of that wrapped in it, like some little journals and workout sheets that people follow. We’ve got, if you ever look up like Koaw Fitness testimonials, if you type in Co-op Fitness, like testimonies or results, we have thousands of videos of real people losing weight, getting in shape, talking about it online. We actually get one video every day at every location. We would like to eventually write a book that we can platform to do that. I don’t know the correct next steps. It would probably be to call your company and then go through a questionnaire with them to kind of direct us. So I don’t know exactly my question. I guess one of the next steps if Charles says, hey, I want to get started maybe now or in the future, maybe he likes the idea of coming down there for two days and then you ask him questions and then bada bing, bada boom, the character comes to book. What’s the next step, bro? I would say the next step for me, Charles, email me directly jt at scribe media.com I’ve got the easiest email in the company and I’m doing this because my man Clay’s got me on the show so I’m not going to send you off to our author strategist you can go directly to me we’ll walk through what would be best for you would it be the the guided author workshop would it be us doing the scribe professional we’ll reach you to have you speak your book and then we’ll just walk through what the the next steps are. Great. You know what? I’m so passionate about you having a book, whether we help you or he does. By the way, if you have me help you, I don’t make any extra money on the deal. So, use JT. But seriously, it’s a lot of work, but I’m serious, it takes hundreds of hours. But the reason why I think it’s so powerful is this is a true, true story, awesome story. I travel, not as much as you do right now, you and Amber, but whenever I’m on a plane, people always ask, what do you do? I have given people books. One lady owned a large chicken business in Tulsa, I won’t mention the name of it, but a big fast food chain, and I gave her the book, she reaches out to me a year later and on the phone and is like sobbing. It’s my first book, Make Your Life Epic, and she goes, my husband passed away from a heart attack, our business barely survives, I’ve read your book cover to cover, and I have implemented everything, and I just want to tell you thank you. And it was like a conversation on a plane, here’s the book, and it just was like a game changing thing. It was a book. Then I was speaking at a church about two and a half years ago, a guy came up to me and asked me for some advice. I didn’t have time to speak with him because it was a big church, a lot of questions. I gave him the book. Again, I never worked with the guy. He calls me back later and says, your book changed my life. You guys have, I’m not going to ask you the number, but you have thousands and thousands and thousands of members and your marginal cost per book, say Charles wants to print a book that’s 200 pages, JT, 200 pages. What’s the hard cost per book to print one of those? Just per copy. Let’s say for every person who signs up, you’re going to get the Kola Fitness book. How much would it cost per book to print a book once he’s gone through the process of making the book happen? Minimal. We can have the per book charges down to anywhere from $1.75 to maybe $3 a copy. Wow. And then people take those books and they read those books. So now they’re out having coffee in Dallas and someone says, what are you reading? And they go, oh, I’m reading this book. And then it turns into word of mouth. And I guarantee you, 100% stone cold lead pipe locked. You will double your revenue. If you spent 36 grand, I guarantee you, you make 72 grand in the first year for sure off your members referring each other. It is crazy. And Paul, I’ve seen people running around at our workshops who are carrying around a tattered cover, a copy of your book that you gave them. Don’t you see the relationship change at Hood CPAs when somebody signs up to be a client and you give them your book? Yeah, they do. And the funny thing is, is they’ll come in and they’ll look at me and say, you don’t look like what I thought. Or they’ll ask me to sign my book. That’s just crazy. It works! You have to get a book done! I’m a bad person to put a goal on your list. I’m a bad man. I can’t put goals on your 2020 list. But I’m just saying, if I were asked, I would say it’s a game changer. And this system is cool, because would they fly down to you in Austin they fly out to you? They can come down for the two-day workshop and here’s the other piece Clay even if they go with our scribe the 36,000 professional you don’t even have to come to us we do all the interviews over the phone. So every will say we schedule this out every Tuesday at 3 o’clock we do your book call 90 minute call and you’ll do it for six weeks we pull all the content all in, you’re going to invest about 40 hours over the course of 7-9 months. So a week’s worth of work over 7-9 months of doing your book. Keep preaching it. You are close to the deal. We’ve got about 17, 13, kind of like a Benny Hinn here. I feel like there’s 22 people, maybe 7 people. There’s maybe 80. Somebody here wants to get a book written. There’s somebody out there, JT. Preach the good news of why everybody has to write a book. If you’ve been thinking about that book, it’s time to move on and to actually start writing the book. Preach the good news there, JT. Sell it to us. So I’ll even say this. I’m gonna steal this from my mother. My mother said this to me when I was a child. She said, never judge anyone because everyone has a story and you don’t know their story. And that’s actually become our motto for the company now is we believe everyone has a story and so if you don’t share your story you’re not you’re not you’re cheating the world of your story and cheating your legacy. Oh Charles is cheating the world. Don’t be selfish Charles. Don’t be selfish. I’ll take it a step further. I’ll take it a step further. How many people have sat back two, three, five, seven years wanting to write their book and they’ve never got it done. Start your book. Amen. Hey, real quick, I have an audio clip of what the listeners out there are saying to Charles Kola right now. I’m going to cue it up. This is what I hear. Again, Paul, it’s amazing how I’ve been able to mic our listeners. It’s crazy. Many of our listeners are saying this to Charles right now. Oh, they just want him. They want the… You’re the fitness expert. You and your wife, and there’s so much knowledge there. That’s good. No, you’re right. Oh my gosh, we need the book. Keep pushing me over the edge. We need the book. Hang on. That’s why I have you as my coach. I’ve known Charles for years. I’ve never seen him speechless. I don’t make any commission deals. I’ve never seen him speechless. JT, you and I don’t have a backdoor commission deal going yet. I said yet. I really want one. But here’s the deal, seriously, everybody out there, I have seen it change conversations and perspectives, having a book. Let’s talk about the speaking career thing. This is not something that I want to ever do again. Some people out there want to do it, but let me tell you about the… sometimes you think a dog is chasing a car, Paul, and it thinks it wants the car. But once it gets the car, it doesn’t know what to do. I found myself in June of 2013, I had 12 speaking events in the same month. And so my wife would go with me to every one of them, and I would bring one kid. So it was like, here we go, we’re going to drive to Springfield, Missouri to go speak at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts. So we’d go there, nail it, smash it. After the event, the event planner wants to follow up. People want to get photos, you want to sign your book, you’ve got to ship the books, ship the books back. Then I did another event in Vegas, then another event in San Diego, then another one in Vegas, then one in Phoenix, then one in Toronto, then one in Florida where there’s a pink hotel, St. Pete Beach, and then another one in Fort Lauderdale, and then one in Austin, I did one in San Antonio, and somewhere along there I did one in Denver for UPS. And I thought to myself, self, you hate traveling. But there’s other people who love traveling. But I had that thought, like, I get motion sickness, my ear stay popped for like a whole day, I can’t hear almost, so I have to let my ear stay plugged for like a whole day. So Vanessa and I would have to fly in on Friday morning to speak on Saturday just so I could hear myself. And then I would get nauseated for a good four or five hours afterwards. But there’s a lot of people who are normal out there, normal people, who can chew gum and pop their ears, who don’t get motion sickness, who like seeing beaches, who like staying in nice hotels, who like meeting new people, who like selling books, who like signing autographs, who like seeing the world. Those people out there, talk to them about the speaking career that can come as a result of having a book, JT. Not to mention, I’ll start with the number one thing as well, almost every one of our authors who have gotten into this that have wanted to increase their visibility on speaking, hands down, as soon as their book is done, their speaking fee goes up five grand, just off the book, just because you have the credibility, you have the book now, but people want to book those individuals on stages who have done the book, who have the expertise, who have something to say, which again, and especially the authors we work with, because so many people know that we actually validate these authors and look to make sure that they have actual content for their books, not just a bunch of fluff. So the authors we work with, oh, their visibility goes through the roof. David Goggins, Tiffany Haddish, how have those books changed their lives? Oh gosh, I gotta give a lot of credit to David Goggins. David Goggins got offered a traditional publishing deal, and if you know anything about David Goggins, ex-Navy SEAL, big control guy, he turned it down. He turned down a large advance to go traditional publishing, chose to go with us, and last year, or for 2019, he had the most sought-after book in America, second only to Michelle Obama. How many books did he sell, or can you share that total on the show? If you can, it’s okay. Oh gosh, well over a million. I can tell you that, well over a million. And do you make money? Do you make money off that? He was on the New York Times Best Seller. I mean, he nailed every category you possibly could as far as sales. Do you make money when the authors make money, JT? We do not. We do not. It is flat fee. So when you pay us, you keep 100% of your book. Really? Yes. Now, hey, you’re based in Austin, Texas. When you flew here to attend the conference, did you have to hop on two planes or one plane? I did one. No, no, no. I had to do two. I had to fly to Dallas first. Right, okay. Okay, so you had to do two flights. Okay. Because this is the year… my wife doesn’t know this yet, so this show is not going to come out before Christmas. So she doesn’t know. But this is the year of the travel for us. We’re going to do a little weekend trip. She likes that. As long as I have no expectations and no specific time to be anywhere, so I’m not going to get frustrated with connecting flights, I might come down to Austin and harass you. I love Lake Travis. I love Lake Travis. Man, make it happen. Hey, Clay, you know, you tell me when and where, I will make it happen, sir. I’m going to put, you know, you’re in my phone, but I’m going to put you in my phone as Austin, Texas, because we’re going to Denver twice. We’re going to do that. I’m surprising her for Christmas, kind of telling her where we’re going, and we love Austin, Texas. It’s very weird, but it’s kind of my kind of weird, I think. Keep Austin weird. That’s how we live. You have a ton of live music down there, great restaurants. What do you call the thing, is it called the Oasis, the resort that looks out over Lake Travis on the cliffs? That’s it, the Oasis. So yeah, we’ve got everything down here. We’ve got South by Southwest, and we are the only city in America that has the F1 Formula One track that’s here. So there’s always something going on here. Now, you again, I want to go back to the very beginning. I want to end today’s show at the beginning, because your father was a pimp. You were abused. You were abandoned. You don’t know the origins of your last name. You are not white, and you’re not black. How would you describe what you look like? I am mixed race. I am half white, half black. So I am no more proud of the one than the other. But I can tell you this, growing up in the 70s mixed race, not a good look. Black people didn’t like me because I was half white, white people didn’t like me because I was half black. So there you have it. White people don’t like me because I’m so pale. They’re like, this guy, who is this guy? No, but seriously, you grew up where black people didn’t like you because you weren’t black enough, white people didn’t like you because you weren’t white enough. I mean, you’ve gone through it all. What… to end today’s show, what advice would you give somebody out there who’s been making excuses for decades, saying, the reason why I can’t have success is that I grew up poor, the reason why I can’t be on time is because I’m always, I never was taught discipline. The reason why I can’t write a book is because, the reason why I can’t do the marketing is because of people who have all these excuses they’ve been saying it for so long that they now believe them. What advice would you have for someone who needs to hit the exit ramp on their excuses? You know, Clay, you’ve always let me speak freely and so I’m going to unleash on this one. One, I am NOT a victim. I don’t, you can’t change the past. I don’t care how much you think about it, I don’t care how long you lay in your bed for a week depressed and pull the covers over your head, you cannot change the past. But you can change the next hour, you can change the next day. And I gotta say this as well, we live in a country right now where the word white privilege has become so big. And I find it very offensive because when we sit back and let’s really call what it is. If you were born in this country, take race off of it. How about just privilege in itself? Because regardless of where your political views stand, I’m not going to make it political, but there is a single mom with two children walking 1,100 miles from Honduras trying to get into this country. Man, on my worst day, I never had to face that. I was born here. So sexual abuse, father was a pimp, put it all out there, I keep it in perspective. I was born in this country, therefore I have a responsibility to be successful in this country. And you have a great family now, right? You didn’t grow up with a family. You’re the one who’s breaking the cycle of perpetual poverty and family dysfunction. How many kids do you have and how many wives do you have? I’ve got one wonderful wife. I’ve got four children ages six, four, two, and one. That is awesome, man. That is absolutely awesome. I was unable to assemble a large audience, so I will hit my audience button here. That’s awesome. I mean, that is just so exciting. Charles Kowlaw, you had a hot take here for JT McCormick. JT has got such an amazing attitude. Yeah, he does. You used to talk about hiring good employees and hiring people with great attitudes over skill sets. Yes. Well, it’s clear to see that JT has been an amazing example, having a great attitude, being optimistic. He doesn’t come from the best education, the best background, but he’s a personal success story because he’s taken on a perspective of a wonderful attitude, positive, upbeat, motivating, encouraging to everybody around him, brings energy to the room like no other. He’s a great speaker, totally touched my heart, and I just think people have got to take on his type of personality if they want to be successful. And you’ve kind of, you quoted it in business coaching and hiring attitude over skill, looking for people with positive, uppy attitudes. Don’t look for degrees. Look for great attitudes, coachability. And JT’s been a great example of that. Great success story. Great inspiration to so many of us at the Thrive Conference. So thank you, JT, for being a great example for me as a business owner and entrepreneur. Now JT, I- I appreciate that. I wanted to… I guess I had one final question for you. I was teaching my staff today, Devon you were in the meeting today, we were talking about this, but I was telling them that all successful entrepreneurs that I’ve interviewed all have these common denominators. They’re very simple, they’re very easy, but no one seems to grasp them. One, they all have a to-do list. They all have a calendar. They keep a calendar in a to-do list. It’s crazy. There’s a lot of other traits, but another one is they don’t suffer fools. They understand their net worth is their net worth, and they will not let toxic, ghetto, redneck, crazy people show up in their life on a daily basis. So you had to leave the ghetto, but some people leave the ghetto, and then they bring the ghetto with them. You know, Jamie Foxx has joked about this before on his comedy routine. Some people will make a ton of money, but they bring the ghetto with them. They’ll bring the rednecks with them. What advice would you have for somebody out there who is struggling to comprehend the idea that you become the average of the five people that you spend the most time with, that your network is your net worth? What would you say to somebody right now who’s on the precipice of success, but they are hanging out with idiots. What advice would you have for them? Real easy, let it go. Someone joked with me, it actually wasn’t even a joke. They said, oh, you forgot where you came from, you forgot the hood. I go, hey, first of all, that is the point, is to get the hell out of the hood. I’m trying to forget where I came from. I keep mentally where I came from because I can never forget it, but the goal is not to Represent the hood the goal is to get out of the hood And if you surround yourself with those same people who have those small-minded Mentalities you will stay right there with those individuals. You will never rise above Get the hell out of the hood. I’m gonna put that on a shirt that I got some clay that could be the title of my book, given that’s my last name. Get the hell out of the hood. I like that. I’m stealing it, J.T. That is awesome. Brother, thank you so much. If you’re out there listening and you’ve yet to hear part one of our interview with J.T. McCormick, just do a Google search for J.T. McCormick and Thrivetime Show. And I will say this, I said it then, I’ll say it again, I’ll say it again now. Your interview, not the questions I asked, but your responses to our first interview we had together stands the test of time currently as our Favorite and as our best show ever ever the first interview we did with you is truly Unbelievable I mean it if you listen to that show and you have a pulse and you’re going the wrong way with your life You’re gonna change directions dramatically now JT. We’ve had as of today’s recording, we’ve put out 1,817 shows, and your show is the best show. Awesome show. Everybody out there, check it out. JT McCormick, thank you so much for joining us again on today’s Thrive Time Show. Hey guys, I greatly appreciate it. Beyond humbled and honored, and because I’m not the most politically correct person in the world, Merry Christmas. Oh, yes! Merry Christmas right there! I tell you what, I just want to say that about ten times in a row. Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas. I just think Merry… Merry Christ-paws-mas. I mean, I just… if you’re out there today and you are offended by Merry Christmas, find a new show. J.T. McCormick, thank you my friend. Have a great rest of your day. Hey, take care guys. See you dude. And now, without any further ado, 3, 2, 1, Boom! When I think of adversity, I think of tolerance of rain, I think of dark clouds, I think of things that you don’t have any control over, and yet they’re coming at you. And you have to make a decision, what do I do? Do I just stand here, or do I move? You know, going up in the Mississippi Delta, as I did, during the era of legal segregation, it was a time that adversity was surrounding one’s life. It was like torrents of rain that had been coming for generations. And sometimes it seems as if it would never stop. But somewhere along the way you ask yourself the question, how do I get out of this rain? What do I do? What can I do to make a difference and bring some sunshine into my life? Into every life, as the song says, some rain must fall. And rain is what people run away from to get out of, but it is also the rain that waters and nurtures those incredible ideas that live within us. I think that adversity is challenging, no question about it, but it also becomes a great teacher as well. ♪ Come on boys, let’s dance ♪ Hey guys, Luke Erickson here with the Thrive Time Show. You’re going to leave energized, motivated, but you’re also going to leave empowered. The reason why I built these workshops is because as an entrepreneur I always wish that I had this. And because there wasn’t anything like this, I would go to these motivational seminars, no money down, real estate, Ponzi scheme, get motivated seminars, and they would never teach me anything. It was like you went there and you paid for the big chocolate Easter bunny, but inside of it, it was a hollow nothingness. And I wanted the knowledge, and they’re like, oh, but we’ll teach you the knowledge after our next workshop. And the great thing is we have nothing to upsell. At every workshop, we teach you what you need to know. There’s no one in the back of the room trying to sell you some next big get-rich-quick, walk-on-hot-coals product. It’s literally, we teach you the brass tacks, the specific stuff that you need to know to learn how to start and grow a business. I encourage you to not believe what I’m saying, and I want you to Google the Z66 auto auction. I want you to Google elephant in the room. Look at Robert, Zellner and Associates. Look them up and say, are they successful because they’re geniuses, or are they successful because they have a proven system? When you do that research, you will discover that the same systems that we use in our own business can be used in your business. Today I’m broadcasting from Phoenix, Arizona, not Scottsdale, Arizona. They’re closed, but they’re completely different worlds. And of our special guest today, definition of intelligence is if you agree with me, you’re intelligent. And so this gentleman is very intelligent. I’ve done this show before also, but very seldom do you find somebody who lines up on all counts. And so Mr. Clay Clark is a friend of a good friend, Eric Trump. But we’re also talking about money, bricks, and how screwed up the world can get in a few and a half hour. So Clay Clark is a very intelligent man and there’s so many ways we could take this thing but I thought since you and Eric are close, Trump, what were you saying about what Trump can’t, what Donald, who’s my age, and I can say or cannot say. Well I have to, first of all, I have to honor you sir. I want to show you what I did to one of your books here. There’s a guy named Jeremy Thorn, who was my boss at the time. I was 19 years old, working at Faith Highway. I had a job at Applebee’s, Target, and DirecTV. And he said, have you read this book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad? And I said, no. And my father, may he rest in peace, he didn’t know these financial principles. So I started reading all of your books and really devouring your books. And I went from being an employee to self-employed to the business owner to the investor. And I owe a lot of that to you. I just want to take a moment to tell you thank you so much for allowing me to achieve success. I’ll tell you all about Eric Trump, but I just want to tell you thank you, sir, for changing my life. Not only that, Clay, thank you, but you’ve become an influencer. More than anything else, you’ve evolved into an influencer where your word has more and more power. That’s why I congratulate you on becoming. Because as you know, there’s a lot of fake influencers out there too, or bad influencers. Yeah. Anyway, I’m glad you and I agree so much and thanks for reading my books. Yeah. That’s the greatest thrill for me today. Not a thrill, but recognition is when people, young men especially, come up and say, I read your book, changed my life, I’m doing this, I’m doing this, I’m doing this. I learned at the Academy, King’s Point in New York, octa non verba. Watch what a person does, not what they say. Hey, I’m Ryan Wimpey. I’m originally from Tulsa, born and raised here. I went to a small private liberal arts college and got a degree in business, and I didn’t learn anything like they’re teaching here. I didn’t learn linear workflows. I learned stuff that I’m not using and I haven’t been using for the last nine years. So what they’re teaching here is actually way better than what I got at business school. And I went what was actually ranked as a very good business school. The linear workflow, the linear workflow for us in getting everything out on paper and documented is really important. We have workflows that are kind of all over the place. So having Having linear workflow and seeing that mapped out on multiple different boards is pretty awesome. That’s really helpful for me The atmosphere here is awesome I definitely just stared at the walls figuring out how to make my facility look like this place this place rocks It’s invigorating the walls are super It’s just very cool. The atmosphere is cool. The people are nice It’s a pretty cool place to be very good learning atmosphere. I literally want to model it and steal everything that’s here at this facility and basically create it just on our business side. Once I saw what they were doing I knew I had to get here at the conference. This is probably the best conference or seminar I’ve ever been to in over 30 years of business. You’re not bored, you’re awake, alive the whole time. It’s not pushy. They don’t try to sell you a bunch of things. I was looking to learn how to just get control of my life, my schedule, and just get control of the business. Planning your time, breaking it all down, making time for the F6 in your life, and just really implementing it and sticking with the program. It’s really lively. They’re pretty friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. I attended a conference a couple months back and it was really the best business conference I’ve ever attended. At the workshop I learned a lot about time management, really prioritizing what’s the most important. The biggest takeaways are you want to take a step-by-step approach to your business, whether it’s marketing, what are those three marketing tools that you want to use, to human resources. Some of the most successful people and successful businesses in this town, their owners were here today because they wanted to know more from Clay and I found that to be kind of fascinating. The most valuable thing that I’ve learned is diligence. That businesses don’t change overnight. It takes time and effort and you’ve got to go through the ups and downs of getting it to where you want to go. He actually gives you the road map out. I was stuck, didn’t know what to do, and he gave me the road map out step by step. We’ve set up systems in the business that make my life much easier, allow me some time freedom. Here you can ask any question you want, they guarantee it’ll be answered. This conference motivates me and also gives me a lot of knowledge and tools. It’s up to you to do this. Everybody can do these things. I can see the marketing working. It’s just an approach that makes sense. Probably the most notable thing is just the income increase that we’ve had. Everyone’s super fun and super motivating. I’ve been here before, but I’m back again because it motivated me. Your competition’s going to come eventually or try to pick up these tactics. So you better, if you don’t, somebody else will. I’m Rachel with Tip Top Key Night and we just want to give a huge thank you to all of our sponsors. We’re going to be doing a lot of different things. We’re going to be doing a lot of different things. We’re going to be doing a lot of different things. So you better, if you don’t, somebody else will. I’m Rachel with Tip Top K9 and we just want to give a huge thank you to Clay and Vanessa Clark. Hey guys, I’m Ryan with Tip Top K9. Just want to say a big thank you to Thrive 15. Thank you to Make Your Life Epic. We love you guys, we appreciate you and really just appreciate how far you’ve taken us. This is our old house. This is where we used to live a few years ago. This is our old neighborhood. See? Nice, right? So this is my old van and our old school marketing. And this is our old team. And by team I mean it’s me and another guy. This is our new house with our new neighborhood. This is our new van with our new marketing. And this is our new team. We went from four to 14. And I took this beautiful photo. We worked with several different business coaches in the past. And they were all about helping Ryan sell better and just teaching sales, which is awesome. But Ryan is a really great salesman. So we didn’t need that. We needed somebody to help us get everything that was in his head out into systems, into manuals, and scripts, and actually build a team. So now that we have systems in place we’ve gone from one to ten locations in only a year. In October 2016 we grossed 13 grand for the whole month. Right now it’s 2018, the month of October. It’s only the 22nd we’ve already grossed a little over 50 grand for the whole month and we still have time to go. We’re just thankful for you, thankful for Thrive and your mentorship, and we’re really thankful that you guys have helped us to grow a business that we run now instead of the business running us. Just thank you, thank you, thank you, times a thousand. So we really just want to thank you, Clay, and thank you, Vanessa, for everything you’ve done, everything you’ve helped us with. We love you guys. If you decide to not attend the Thrive Time Workshop, you’re missing out on a great opportunity. The Atmosphere Place office is very lively. You can feel the energy as soon as you walk through the door, and it really got me and my team very excited. If you decide not to come, you’re missing out on an opportunity to grow your business, bottom line. Love the environment. I love the way that Clay presents and teaches. It’s a way that not only allows me to comprehend what’s going on, but he explains it in a way to where it just makes sense. The SEO optimization, branding, marketing. I’ve learned, marketing is key, marketing is everything. Making sure that you’re branded accurately and clearly. How to grow a business using Google reviews and then just how to optimize our name through our website also. Helpful with a lot of marketing, search engine optimization, helping us really rank high in Google. The biggest thing I needed to learn was how to build my foundation, how to systemize everything and optimize everything, build my SEO. How to become more organized, more efficient. How to make sure the business is really there to serve me, as opposed to me constantly being there for the business. New ways of advertising my business, as well as recruiting new employees. Group interviews, number one. Before we felt like we were held hostage by our employees. Group interviews has completely eliminated that because you’re able to really find the people that would really be the best fit. Hands on how to hire people, how to deal with human resources, a lot about marketing and overall just how to structure the business, how it works for me and also then how that can translate into working better for my clients. The most valuable thing I’ve learned here is time management. I like the one hour of doing your business is real critical if I’m going to grow and change. Play really teaches you how to navigate through those things and not only find freedom, but find your purpose in your business and find the purposes for all those other people that directly affect your business as well. Everybody. Everybody. Everyone needs to attend the conference because you get an opportunity to see that it’s real. Hey, Flyover family, come join us June the 27th and 28th, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We’re gonna be there with Clay Clark, an amazing group of individuals that have made such a difference in so many people’s lives. Do you want to increase your production in a job? Do you want to make more sales? Do you want to own your own business? Do you want to have breakthroughs financially? The key to that is knowledge. Clay Clark is anointed to help people in business. We’ve watched him over the last couple of years and we’ve been blown away. He’s part owner of over 160 businesses. 2.4 billion dollars in sales. Before politics and the great reset came into Clay’s life, he had the number one rated Apple podcast and he interviewed people like Anthony Robbins, Seth Godin, the top authors, top business minds in the world. At this specific event, there was an interesting cast of characters that come from gangs to American Idol. Some of the guests are going to be there. Michael Levine, Colton Dixon, Peter Tompkins, John Lee Dumas, Mando De La Viga. And Tim Scevo. They’re there to share what they’ve done and their breakthroughs and what their story is. And then Clay lays his map of business success, what we call the path for every person to follow. So you may be sitting there thinking, okay, okay, I get it, I get it. What do I have to do? Hey guys, Luke Erickson here with the Thrive Time Show. As you can see behind me, we’ve got all kinds of energy going on. People are starting to show up for the conference and it is hot in this place. We’ve got grill guns over here, we’ve got people playing the drums, we’ve got a fire breather, and man, people are so excited as they come in. We’ve got Aaron Hansen showing up there. We’ve got Steve Kerr and Tim Klohe with the concepts up there talking about what is possible when you just implement, when you implement, when you do the improvements. People are going crazy. I heard many, many PR mooks, the man who represents people like Michael Jackson, Harper Streisand, George Bush, he’s standing by and speaking to people here at our conference, talking about branding. One of the greatest branding experts alive today is here at our conference talking to entrepreneurs. We just wrapped up day one, it was incredible. We had some remarkable speakers. Michael Levine. We just finished with a lady named Jill Donovan who owns a company called Rustic Cuff talking about the power of the Dream 100. I cannot wait to see what tomorrow holds. Hey guys, Luke Erickson with the Thrive Time Show here with you. It is day two and the energy is high. People are so excited to be showing up. The team is ready. Come on, let’s see what it’s like to go on in for day two. Follow me. I’ll tell you what, people are so excited to be here for day two. It is going to be incredible. Cannot wait to see what today has in store. Right now, here at the conference, we’ve broken into groups going over search engine optimization. I know for most of us, myself included, if you hear that term, you go, what is that? What does that mean? That’s too techy for me. Well, our experts are breaking it down for people so that you can clearly understand how to come up top in Google. It’s doable, it’s possible. Now we’re in the middle of a break, and what we like to do is we like to give you as much tangible and relevant information from about the start of the hour for 45 minutes. Then we take approximately a 15-minute break to allow people to connect with other entrepreneurs around them, bathroom break, and also use this time to just really digest all of the good information that you’re receiving the whole time. Right behind me we’ve got Bob with his drill gun melting an ice sculpture. It is awesome. The ice sculpture represents our life, right? It’s here for a time but we all need to have the sense of urgency to implement the things that we’re learning so that we can make the most of the time that we have. We are outside, you can see a line behind me. What’s going on is that we partner with different companies to help them implement the proven systems over and over and over again. And one of those companies is Master Machine. And so what we like to do is partner with these companies to also help them give samples to other people as they come to the conference and truly get their name out. I just wanted to recap some of the amazing things that have happened today. We’ve had entrepreneurs like Paul Hood with Hood CPAs. We’ve had Jill Donovan and Michael Levine come up. It just imparts so much wisdom and knowledge. We’ve got an incredible giveaway for one of the things that we love most about our business conferences is that we want every entrepreneur to leave with their questions answered. So what we do is we let them put the questions up on the board here so that they can ask their specific questions and Clay will not end the conference until every question is answered. to answer. Behind this, Clay Kilar can answer all the different questions that On4all has brought to the conference. Whenever someone comes here and starts to hear this information, especially for the first time, it just brings about so much anticipation of wanting to actually implement the proven systems and processes. And so Clay always wants to make sure that he answers all of those questions, so that they’re the most set up for success, to be able to go home and start implementing. If you have any questions, email us at info at thrive timeshare.com. Hello, I’m Wes Carter. I’m one of the shareholders at Winters and Keen. My favorite thing that Thrive has helped me accomplish here in our firm is thinking a little bit outside of the box. They do SEO, they do printing, they help us with a lot of things from the day-to-day marketing for the firm, but they also help us think of things that as attorneys we probably wouldn’t normally think of that help us market our services to our clients. One of the things I love about working with Thrive is that they make it enjoyable to actually do work with them. It’s not dry, it’s usually fun, but it’s always very enjoyable and practical. They give me things and ideas that I can put into place. It’s not just some theoretical spiel that they give me. We get practical steps that we work on together to do my job better. So me personally, I would easily recommend Thrive 15 services to my friends, my families. I recommend them to my clients. I think they do a good job. They’re passionate. They care about their clients. And I think it’s actually a valuable service they provide to people that are in the business world. My name is Jeff Thomas. I’m originally from Atlanta, Georgia. It’s all about getting to the grindstone. It is about putting the… It’s one thing to have a specific vision or a dream, but knowledge without application isn’t knowledge at all. So that’s nothing. Really funny? The atmosphere is very lively. Everybody that is working for Clay is very upbeat and not tired, not sluggish, not complaining, not whining. They don’t have anything to do with those types of characteristics. It’s all about getting to the grind and having fun while you do it. I haven’t actually been to any conferences in the past, but what I will say from what I’ve seen on YouTube and what from other friends have told me is this isn’t like a motivational kind of thing such as, you know, hoo-hoo, rah-rah, it gets you motivated, but it’s like practical steps that if you do take them, which most people aren’t willing to do, then you will grow and you will achieve the specific things that you want. Well, for one thing, I would say that this isn’t necessarily for everyone. So if you’re not willing to work, this isn’t for you. But I will say that if you are willing to work and you’re just getting started, but you have actually taken a step in that direction, then this will actually help you grow further exponentially than you could ever imagine. My name is Taylor Hall. I’m the general manager of the Tulsa Oilers professional hockey team. You know our goal every night here at the BOK Center is to try to fill the seats with with lots of people and create a you know an exciting environment so when somebody comes to a game they want to come back. Working with Clay and the staff at Thrive, they’ve really helped us in many, many ways. Website and graphic design and video production and a lot of things that go along. And a lot of businesses, including ours, doesn’t have a staff or a full-time videographer or graphic designer. But the biggest thing that we noticed was the needle mover. More sales, more attendance, more successes in business. We had a record year last season working with Clay for the first time. Our average attendance is higher than it’s ever been. So there’s a lot of really cool things that we did and they worked. That’s the nice thing about working with Clay and the team over there. It’s just not one person, you get the entire team. If you need video design and editing and production, they’ve got that. If you need graphic design, if you need some coaching, your sales people and call scripts, PR, they offer all that. Clay was instrumental in helping guiding us and getting us on the right track so that we could really raise the bar and become ultra successful. So it’s tight, it really gets you energized and going. It makes you really want to work. To get the momentum going, to really get that buzz, to really give you the energy to get up and make it happen. I’m Bob Hewlett. I’m in the charcoal drilling industry and I’m a senior in the industry. I’m a senior in the industry. I’m a senior in the industry. I’m a senior in the industry. I’m in the charcoal drilling industry, and the name of my business is GrillBlazer. How will I apply what I’ve learned so far into my business? I’m actually a client of the Tri15, and I learned so much from what I’m learning at this conference and my regular weekly attendance that it’s helping me establish the business and get it off the ground. Clay’s presentation style is just blatant disregard for what anybody wants. He just has fun. It’s him. Everything that you see is authentically Clay. It’s a great deal of fun. Everybody enjoys it. They know when they walk in, they think they’re coming into a carnival, and frankly they are. It’s just great fun. There’s not another conference like it. You just don’t go to a carnival atmosphere and learn what to do here at the Pride conference. It’s great. The reason people should attend at least one of these conferences is because it’s common sense. And everybody’s said on the entire line about the way you should run a business, but until you actually experience running a business, which is, candidly, what you learn here, how to run a business, you don’t know what you’re doing. My name is Tyler Hastings, and this is my wife, Rachel. And our company is Delrick Research out of New Orleans. During our time working with Thrive, we’ve had numerous successes. When we first started, we were working with one physician. We had one research site. And we were seeing, on average, between 10 and 15 patients a week. Since working with Thrive in the last 18 months, we now have four research sites. We work with over five physicians and on average we’re now seeing over 60 patients per week. Recently we’ve been the top enroller worldwide in seven studies, which is just incredible considering where we were two years ago, 18 months ago. Thrive really differs from the other conferences that we’ve been to and the other kind of programs that we’ve been through because they actually really practice what they preach and they implement the same systems and the processes that they teach you about and they give you real life examples that really work for them and show you with the training how to implement that yourself. For example, Tyler and I actually got the opportunity to come out to Tulsa and we’re fortunate enough that the Thrive team took us out to some of the businesses that they own and we really got to see in real life, real time, some of the systems and processes and it was just incredible. A real life example of some of the businesses and the things that they’re implementing. Having a coach is important to us. They act as not only an accountability factor, but they’re someone we can talk to on a daily basis as we go through the problems of running a business that inevitably come up, they always understand what we’re going through and they’re always there to help us or guide us through the problems that we experience. The best part of our experience working with Thrive has just been seeing our relationship grow. So at each step as our business grows, we know that they have something else to provide us with. They’ve got the resources, whether it be marketing, graphic design, website development, or even in the accounting practices, maybe we need a new insurance policy. If they have someone they can connect us with, or if they have the direct resource we need to speak with for any of the problems we face. If someone’s thinking about signing up for the coaching program, I would highly recommend that they call in for a free 30-minute coaching session and see exactly what the team can do for you. Just speak with someone and let them know what you’re going through and I think you’ll find that regardless of what you need, there’s someone there that can help you. Clay’s presentation style is very real and raw. It just gets real down to the bone of purpose of it. There’s no like fluffy vagueness about it, you know. So, he really gets to the point. I’m always reminded about how important it is to be intentional and to really really pay attention to how you schedule your time and really honor it. Because whatever gets scheduled gets done. That’s what he said from Lee Copperl. So, just constantly hearing that and getting reminded helps me to reinforce that in my own life. It always helps to get an outside perspective and especially from a guy that’s grown so many multi-million dollar businesses. It doesn’t hurt. My name is Nick Guajardo. I heard about the Thrive Time Show workshop through Andy Andrew, Andy Matherin, he is my, Andy Matherin and Larry Montgomery, they’re my bosses at Restore Home Health. So I work with a home health company called Restore Home Health and my role is pretty much to bring in business. So I was hoping to learn kind of the sales process on top of just kind of the responsibilities and help understand what it looks like on the SEO side and just kind of an all-around what it looks like to own a business because that’s something I want to do in the future for sure. How I would describe the atmosphere here at Thrive is high energy, great professionalism, great people, it’s just it’s a place you definitely want to visit him in the app. Plays delivery style, humorous, professional, hilarious. I haven’t seen someone do it better. So he does a great job. Most valuable thing I’ve learned so far? A lot of it has been extremely valuable. But one thing that’s always really stuck out to me is learning the SEO stuff. I mean, that is, I think, things you don’t really even think about and then you hear it and you think you know it but you don’t know it. So I feel like that was the most valuable. Well, they’re missing out on just coming down to just basic applications to be a business owner. I mean, I feel like it’s like an absolute necessity to come here and learn the ins and outs and maybe come here once or twice if they take good notes, that kind of thing. Why? So just, it’s the experience here and what you can learn, like absolutely. So marketing and SEO seemed like something that would be very scary, but then in the way that Clay and his team described it, it became very clear and concise and something that’s very accessible to any business owner. I’ve learned a lot about marketing at this conference, a lot about business management and HR, really everything, the key components of anybody’s business, they’re going to give you the best tools to be successful in. So most workshops or conferences can be really boring, really one note, or they just seem so theatrical that it’s a joke and it’s not even giving you the tools that you need, or that you came there for. But here, it’s still high energy, it’s still fun, everything’s to the point, but it’s very professional. And yeah, you’re missing out on easy steps to use in your business that are very accessible and very clear. My name is Abigail McCarter. The best thing I’ve learned so far is definitely organization, schedule-wise, always keeping a to-do list, keeping your calendar organized. I’m kind of all over the place, so that’s always good to know. So Clay’s presentation style and the atmosphere is electric. It’s so energetic, it’s so fun. Clay’s hilarious, but also knows a ton, so it’s just really great all around. This conference is much different than any other conference I’ve gone to. Again, because it’s fun. Like a lot of other conferences, it’s like really quiet, really cold, and you just kind of get bored. But this one, you’re like always engaged, you’re always learning something, and the staff is amazing. They’re always super helpful, so it’s just been really great. My name’s Clint Mauer. We’re a personal training and fitness training facility. Oh wow, I’m learning a ton. Like this morning so far, it’s been search engine optimization. So really just the importance of being at the top of Google, how Google works, and why it’s so important to go out and get video reviews and testimonials and getting Google reviews. And so all those things, we can take back and really apply that immediately. So it’s really cool to see not only how to do it, but really the relevance and the proximity of your long-term strategy. It’s amazing, actually, the way in this morning and yesterday, I was videoing as I was walking in the front entrance. And actually, me, I go to a lot of seminars, I go to a lot of conferences, masterminds. I’ve been doing that since I was like 22 years old, so gosh, almost 20 years now. And this is by far the most entertaining, not only the content, their content is amazing, but Clay and you guys do a great job of mixing in entertainment where it’s fun, it’s fresh, it’s lively, you never get bored. I heard a study one time that the reason that children learn so much quicker is because it’s fun, learning is fun. So obviously Clay is nailed to that, where it’s very fun to be here and keeps you awake, keeps you energized. So I’m having a blast. Yeah, I think any business owner or someone that wants to own a business or considering owning and starting a business, you should definitely come. I know that I was referred here by friends of mine and clients of mine, and I’ve referred other people. Again, just to understand what it takes to make a business successful, to have a good time, obviously, you know, I can just say it, have fun. And that works, there’s a lot of people here you can learn from, and there’s a lot of breakthroughs we’ve taught other people. So I think this is a must-attempt for anybody that owns a business and really wants to start one. My name is Jamie Fagel, I’m with Jameson Fine Cabinetry. I heard about the conference through Andrew, he’s the coach that I deal with here at The Thrive. The most valuable piece I found even working with Andrew, but it’s been solidified when it came here, was you’ve got to actually do the things that they’re telling you. With no action, you’re not going to get anything from it. I would highly recommend this to almost anybody in business today. I have recommended it to some of my other business partners. It’s phenomenal. It’s really something that if you want to start a business, the old way of doing things is gone. This is what you got to do. It’s the only way it’ll work. Hey, this is Charles and Amber Kola. We’re the owners of Kola Fitness. The way we’re able to do that is working with Clay for the last three years. He has really readjusted our thinking and taught us that our business is here to serve us and by doing that we’re able to live the lifestyle we want and take off on a random vacation last minute. We had totally planned on being at the conference so wish we could be there and meet all of you. We know you’re having a great time. Yes, Clay in the last three years has helped us build all the necessary systems, checklists, workflows, task lists, time blocks, audits that are always running and the right capable lieutenants to keep track of all that so that you too can get time freedom, financial freedom and that’s what we have done and Clay has helped us do. We’ve got multiple companies in multiple states and they’re all doing very well getting ready to go to more locations in this next year and Co-op Fitness has a really big future. We’re teaming up with a couple other groups and we should scale the company here shortly. Hopefully we’ll open like 50 locations in the next 10 years. So but yeah we’re on the way. We’re going to probably more than double our company, maybe triple our company in the next eight to nine months and it’s just awesome. God is working in our business and we’re making Jesus and changing lives. We’re a strong Christian company that focuses on making Jesus famous and changing lives in the fitness field. And this is Charles and Amber Koloff. Thank you Thrive. Hit your action items. We love you guys. We wish you were there. You guys have a wonderful day. Bye bye. My name is Jennifer Johnson. I’m in the pest control industry and also weed control fertilization and my business is Platinum Pest and Lawn. Some of the things that, I’ll be able to apply a lot of the things that I’ve learned in our business because this is not my first conference and so a lot of the things that we’re going to be doing are going to be based on what I’ve learned. So I’m going to be doing a lot of the things that I’ve learned in my business. I’m going to be doing a lot of the things that I’ve learned in my business. I’m going to be doing a lot of the things that I’ve learned in my business. I’m going to be doing a lot of the things that I’ve learned in my business. because this is not my first conference. And so a lot of the things that we learned, we’ve put into place. And now we’re doing the next level of refining the processes for just a different concept. And so it’s getting better and better. Things that were just big processes before, we have the foundation laid, and now we’re able to make it better and better. And I’m hearing different things now that we’ve implemented things. And so we can just make it even better implementing it in our own business. Clay’s presentation and the atmosphere is very exciting and fun. It keeps you awake. It makes it interesting. You have a lot of information, but if it’s not going to be entertaining, your brain is going to tune it out. But Clay makes it just entertaining enough that you retain what you learn. Lots of rhyming and catchy things so that you remember stuff. What makes this conference different than other workshops or conferences that I’ve been to is that there’s a lot of people here in my same situation. Most of us are pretty small businesses wanting to improve and we want real life information and something that will work and that’s attainable and not just some crazy magic formula but actual action items that we can implement in our business and actually see a difference. Everyone should attend a DriveType business conference, whether you’re a business owner or not. A, if you’re a business owner, it has practical applications that you can apply to so many different parts of your business and then you need to come back for more so that you can keep doing more of the wonderful things that you learn. But secondly, I am also a mom of three kids and a lot of the concepts can actually be applied to home, like getting routines and getting, setting systems at home has just seriously made a huge difference in my life at home. So I’ve been able to improve our business, but I’ve also been able to improve things at home. And so that’s why everyone should come, no matter what your station is in life. My name is Nolan Q. I’m originally from San Francisco, California. The industry that I’m in is financial services. I’ve learned a ton so far, but what I can best apply from this conference is the opportunity, that hunger to go out there and make a big difference in my country. Blaise’s presentation style is amazing. He’s got an endless amount of energy. It’s contagious. And yeah, by being here, I really do want to go back and be able to face all the adversities that the industry has. Yeah, this conference, the thing that makes it different is that it’s special because it has a unique set of individuals that all share that same energy. I think he picked it as dragon energy, but yeah, that’s what we do. Everyone should come to multiple, but their first would be very special. Yeah, you’re welcome with a lot of enthusiasm. That’ll last for a long time. My name is Gabriela Cruz. Our business is HDS Electric. My husband’s the owner, but I’m involved with that, and so we’re an electric company. Well, here at the conference, they talk a lot about consistency, and so just staying consistent with different things in the business. I feel like applying that to our business model will really help us grow. The atmosphere is very positive, uplifting, and then it’s very fun and energetic. And so it gets you pumped and it gets you excited and it encourages you to do big things. I probably how real they are. They tell you upfront what you need to do and what’s like a no-go. And so conferences are, they kind of trigger code things. So I like how real they are here. I think it’ll definitely, if you want your business to grow, I think this would be a great, a great experience. And then not only that, it’ll encourage you and inform you on so many things you don’t think about on a daily basis. Hey, I’m Ryan Wimpey. I’m originally from Tulsa, born and raised here. I’ve definitely learned a lot about life design and making sure the business serves you. The linear workflow, the linear workflow for us in getting everything out on paper and documented is really important. We have workflows that are kind of all over the place, so having linear workflow and seeing that mapped out on multiple different boards is pretty awesome. That’s really helpful for me. The atmosphere here is awesome. I definitely just stared at the walls figuring out how to make my facility look like this place. This place rocks. It’s invigorating. The walls are super, it’s just very cool. The atmosphere is cool. The people are nice. It’s a pretty cool place to be. Very good learning atmosphere. I literally want to model it and steal everything that’s here at this facility and basically create it just on our business side play is Hilarious I literally laughed so hard that I started having tears yesterday And we’ve been learning a lot which you know we’ve been sitting here We’ve been learning a lot and so the humor definitely definitely helps it breaks it up But the content is awesome off the charts, and it’s very interactive you can raise your hand. It’s not like you’re just listening to the Professor speak you know the wizard teaches with the wizard interaction he takes questions That’s awesome. If you’re not attending the conference, you’re missing about three quarters to half of your life you’re definitely It’s it’s probably worth a couple thousand dollars so You’re missing The thought process of someone that’s already started like nine profitable businesses. So not only is it a lot of good information, but just getting in the thought process of Clay Clark or Dr. Zellner or any of the other coaches, getting in the thought process of how they’re starting all these businesses, to me, just that is priceless. That’s money. Well, we’re definitely not getting upsold here. My wife and I have attended conferences where it was great information, and then they upsold us like half the conference, and I don’t want to like bang my head into a wall and she’s like banging her head into the chair in front of her like it’s good information but we’re like oh my gosh I want to strangle you shut up and go with the presentation that we paid for and that’s not here there’s no upsells or anything so that’s awesome I hate that it makes me angry so glad that’s not happening so the costs of this conference is quite a bit cheaper than business college I went to a small private liberal arts college and got a degree in business. And I didn’t learn anything like they’re teaching here. I didn’t learn linear workflows. I learned stuff that I’m not using and I haven’t been using for the last nine years. So what they’re teaching here is actually way better than what I got at business school. And I went what was actually ranked as a very good business school. I would definitely recommend that people would check out the Thrive 15 conference. The information that you’re going to get is just very, very beneficial and the mindset that you’re going to get, that you’re going to leave with is just absolutely worth the price of a little bit of money and a few days worth of your time. I’m Rachel with Tip Top K9 and we just want to give a huge thank you to Clay and Vanessa Clark. Hey guys, I’m Ryan with Tip Top K9. Just want to say a big thank you to Thrive 15. Thank you to Make Your Life Epic. We love you guys. We appreciate you and really just appreciate how far you’ve taken us. This is our old house. Right, this is where we used to live years ago. This is our old neighborhood. See, it’s nice, right? So this is my old van and our old school marketing. And this is our old team and by team I mean it’s being another guy. This is our new van with our new marketing and this is our new team. We went from 4 to 14 and I took this beautiful photo. We worked with several different business coaches in the past and they were all about helping Ryan sell better and just teaching sales, which is awesome, but Ryan is a really great salesman. So we didn’t need that. We needed somebody to help us get everything that was in his head out into systems, into manuals and scripts and actually build a team. So now that we have systems in place, we’ve gone from one to 10 locations in only a year. In October 2016, we grossed 13 grand for the whole month. Right now it’s 2018, the month of October. It’s only the 22nd, we’ve already grossed a little over 50 grand for the whole month, and we still have time to go. We’re just thankful for you, thankful for Thrive and your mentorship, and we’re really thankful that you guys have helped us to grow a business that we run now instead of the business running us. Just thank you, thank you, thank you, times a thousand. So we really just want to thank you Clay and thank you Vanessa for everything you’ve done, everything you’ve helped us with. We love you guys. Hello my name is Charles Colaw with Colaw Fitness. Today I want to tell you a little bit about Clay Clark and how I know Clay Clark. Clay Clark has been my business coach since 2017. He’s helped us grow from two locations to now six locations. We’re planning to do seven locations in seven years and then franchise. Clay has done a great job of helping us navigate anything that has to do with running the business, building the systems, the checklists, the workflows, the audits, how to navigate lease agreements, how to buy property, how to work with brokers and builders. This guy is just amazing. This kind of guy has worked in every single industry. He’s written books with Lee Crocker, the head of Disney with the 40,000 cast members. He’s friends with Mike Lindell. He does Reawaken America tours where he does these tours all across the country where 10,000 or more people show up to some of these tours. On the day-to-day, he does anywhere from about 160 companies. He’s at the top. He has a team of business coaches, videographers, and graphic designers, and web developers, and they run 160 companies every single week. So think of this guy with a team of business coaches running 160 companies. So in the weekly he’s running 160 companies every six to eight weeks. He’s doing reawaken America tours every six to eight weeks. He’s also doing business conferences where 200 people show up and he teaches people a 13-step proven system that he’s done and worked with billionaires helping them grow their companies. So I’ve seen guys from startups go from startup to being multi-millionaires, teaching people how to get time freedom and financial freedom through the system. Critical thinking, document creation, organizing everything in their head to building it into a franchisable, scalable business. One of his businesses has like 500 franchises. That’s just one of the companies or brands that he works with. Amazing guy, Elon Musk, kind of like smart guy. He kind of comes off sometimes as socially awkward but he’s so brilliant and he’s taught me so much. When I say that like Clay is like he doesn’t care what people think when you’re talking to him. He cares about where you’re going in your life and where he can get you to go and that’s what I like him most about him. He’s like a good coach. A coach isn’t just making you feel good all the time. A coach is actually helping you get to the best you and Clay’s been an amazing business coach. Through the course of that, we became friends. My most impressive thing was when I was shadowing him one time, we went into a business deal and listened to it. I got to shadow and listen to it. When we walked out, I knew that he could make millions on the deal, and they were super excited about working with him. He told me, he’s like, I’m not gonna touch it. I’m gonna turn it down, because he knew it was gonna harm the common good of people in the long run. The guy’s integrity just really wowed me. It brought tears to my eyes to see that this guy, his highest desire was to do what’s right. Anyway, just an amazing man. He’s impacted me a lot. He’s helped navigate any time I’ve gotten nervous or worried about how to run the company you know, navigating competition and an economy that’s like, I remember we got closed down for three months. He helped us navigate on how to stay open, how to get back open, how to just survive through all the COVID shutdowns, lockdowns, because our clubs were all closed for three months and you have $350,000 of bills you’ve got to pay and we have no accounts receivable. He helped us navigate that. And of course, we were conservative enough that we could afford to take that on for a period of time but he was a great man I’m very impressed with him so Clay thank you for everything you’re doing and I encourage you if you haven’t ever worked with Clay, work with Clay he’s going to help magnify you and there’s nobody I have ever met that has the ability to work as hard as he does. He probably sleeps for maybe six hours a day and literally the rest of time he’s working and he can outwork everybody in the room every single day and and he loves it. So anyways this is Charles Kola with Kola Fitness. Thank You Clay and anybody out there that’s wanting to work with Clay it’s a great great opportunity to ever work with him. So you guys have a blessed one. This is Charles Kola. We’ll see you guys. Bye bye. Hi I’m Aaron Antus with Shaw Homes. I first heard about Clay through a mortgage lender here in town who had told me what a great job he had been doing for them and I actually noticed he was driving a Lamborghini all of a sudden so I was willing to listen. In my career I’ve sold a little over eight hundred million dollars in real estate. So honestly I thought I kind of and Homes, and then I met Clay, and my perception of what I knew and what I could do definitely changed. After doing 800 million in sales over a 15-year career, I really thought I knew what I was doing. I’ve been managing a large team of salespeople for the last 10 years here with Shaw Homes, and I mean, we’ve been a company that’s been in business for 35 years. We’ve become one of the largest builders in the Tulsa area, and that was without Clay. So when I came to know Clay, I really thought, man, there’s not much more I need to know, but I’m willing to listen. The interesting thing is our internet leads from our website has actually, in a four month period of time has gone from somewhere around 10 to 15 leads in a month to 180 internet leads in a month. Just from the few things that he’s shown us how to implement that I honestly probably never would have come up with on my own. So I got a lot of good things to say about the system that Clay put in place with us and it’s just been an incredible experience. I am very glad that we met and had the opportunity to work with Clay. So the interaction with the team and with Clay on a weekly basis is honestly very enlightening. One of the things that I love about Clay’s perspective on things is that he doesn’t come from my industry. He’s not somebody who’s in the home building industry. I’ve listened to all the experts in my field. Our company has paid for me to go to seminars, international builder shows, all kinds of places where I’ve had the opportunity to learn from the experts in my industry. But the thing that I found working with Clay is that he comes from such a broad spectrum of working with so many different types of businesses that he has a perspective that’s difficult for me to gain because I get so entrenched in what I do, I’m not paying attention to what other leading industry experts are doing. And Clay really brings that perspective for me. It is very valuable time every week when I get that hour with him. From my perspective, the reason that any business owner who’s thinking about hooking up with Thrive needs to definitely consider it is because the results that we’ve gotten in a very short period of time are honestly monumental. It has really exceeded my wildest expectation of what he might be able to do. I came in skeptical because I’m very pragmatic and as I’ve gone through the process over just a few months, I’ve realized it’s probably one of the best moves we’ve ever made. I think a lot of people probably feel like they don’t need a business or marketing consultant because they maybe are a little bit prideful and like to think they know everything. I know that’s how I felt coming in. I mean we’re a big company that’s definitely one of the largest in town and so we kind of felt like we knew what we were doing. And I think for a lot of people, they let their ego get in the way of listening to somebody that might have a better or different perspective than theirs. I would just really encourage you, if you’re thinking about working with Clay, I mean, the thing is, it’s month to month. Go give it a try and see what happens. I think in the 35 year history of Shaw Homes, this is probably the best thing that’s happened to us and I know if you give them a shot I think you’ll feel the same way. I know for me the thing I would have missed out on if I didn’t work with Clay is I would have missed out on literally an 1800% increase in our internet leads. Going from 10 a month to 180 a month, that would have been a huge financial decision to just decide not to give it a shot. I would absolutely recommend Clay Clark to anybody who’s thinking about working with somebody in marketing. I would skip over anybody else you were thinking about, and I would go straight to Clay and his team. I guarantee you’re not going to regret it because we sure haven’t. My name is Danielle Sprick and I am the founder of D. Sprick Realty Group here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After being a stay-at-home mom for 12 years and my three kids started school and they were in school full-time, I was at a crossroads and trying to decide what do I want to do. My degree and my background is in education, but after being a mom and staying home and all of that, I just didn’t have a passion for it like I once did. My husband suggested real estate. He’s a home builder, so real estate and home building go hand in hand, and we just rolled with it. I love people. I love working with people, I love building relationships, but one thing that was really difficult for me was the business side of things. The processes and the advertising and marketing, I knew that I did not have what I needed to make that what it should be. So I reached out to Clay at that time, and he and his team have been extremely instrumental in helping us build our brand, help market our business, our agents, the homes that we represent. Everything that we do is a direct line from Clay and his team and all that they’ve done for us. We launched our brokerage, our real estate brokerage, eight months ago. And in that time, we’ve gone from myself and one other agent to just this week, we signed on our 16th agent. We have been blessed with the fact that we right now have just over 10 million in pending transactions. Three years ago, I never would have even imagined that I would be in this role that I’m in today, building a business, having 16 agents, but I have to give credit where credit’s due. And Clay and his team and the business coaching that they’ve offered us has been huge. It’s been instrumental in what we’re doing. Don’t ever limit your vision. When you dream big, big things happen. I started a business because I couldn’t work for anyone else. I do things my way. I do what I think is in the best interest of the patient. I don’t answer insurance companies. I don’t answer to large corporate organizations. I answer to my patient and that’s it. My thought when I opened my clinic was I can do this all myself. I don’t need additional outside help in many ways. I mean I went to medical school. I can figure this out. But it was a very, very steep learning curve. Within the first six months of opening my clinic, I had a $63,000 embezzlement. I lost multiple employees. Clay helped us weather the storm of some of the things that are just a lot of people experience, especially in the medical world. He was instrumental in helping with the specific written business plan. He’s been instrumental in hiring good quality employees, using the processes that he outlines for getting in good talent which is extremely difficult. He helped me in securing the business loans. He helped me with web development and search engine optimization. We’ve been able to really keep a steady stream of clients coming in because they found us on the web. With everything that I encountered, everything that I experienced, I quickly learned it is worth every penny to have someone in your team that can walk you through and even avoid some of the pitfalls that are almost invariable in starting your own business. I’m Dr. Chad Edwards and I own Revolution Health and Wellness Clinic. We’ve got Aaron Antic with Shotguns up there. We’ve got Steve Curry, Timmy Jordan, the concepts up there. We’re talking about what is possible when you just implement, you implement, you do the provenance. So exciting, people are going crazy. Now Michael Levine, writer of many, many PR books, the man who represented people like Michael Jackson, Barbara Streisand, George Bush, Stanley Pagliari, speaking to people here at our conference, talking about branding. One of the greatest branding experts alive today is here at our conference, talking to entrepreneurs. We just wrapped up day one. It was incredible. We had some remarkable speakers. Michael Levine, we just finished with a lady named Jill Donovan, who owns a company called Rustic Cuff, talking about the power of the Dream 100. I cannot wait to see what tomorrow holds. Hey guys, Luke Erickson with the Thrive Time Show here with you. It is day two and the energy is high. People are so excited to be showing up. The team is ready. Come on, let’s see what it’s like to go on in for day two. Follow me. Come on. Come on. Come on. I’ll tell you what, people are so excited to be here for day two. It is going to be incredible. Cannot wait to see what today has in store. Come on. Come on. Come on. Right now, here at the conference, we’ve broken into groups going over search engine optimization. I know for most of us, myself included, if you hear that term, what is that? What does that mean? That’s too techy for me. Well, our experts are breaking it down for people so that you can clearly understand how to come up top in Google. It’s doable. It’s possible. Now we’re in the middle of a break and what we like to do is we like to give you as much tangible and relevant information from about the start of the hour for 45 minutes. Then we take approximately a 15 minute break to allow people to connect with other entrepreneurs around them, bathroom break, and also use this time to just really digest all of the good information that you’re receiving the whole time. Right behind me we’ve got Bob with his drill gun melting an ice sculpture. It is awesome. The ice sculpture represents our life, right? It’s here for a time, but we all need to have the sense of urgency to implement the things that we’re learning so that we can make the most of the time that we have. We are outside. You can see a line behind me. We’ve had entrepreneurs like Paul Hood, the good CPAs. We’ve had Jill Donovan and Michael Levine come up. It just imparts so much wisdom and knowledge. We’ve got an incredible giveaway for one of our teamies. Hey there Thrive Nation. One of the things that we love most about our business conferences is that we want every entrepreneur to leave with their questions answered. So what we do is we let them put the questions up on the board here so that they can ask their specific questions and Clay will not end the conference until every question is answered. Behind us, Clay Kilarg is answering all the different questions that On4 has brought to the conference. Whenever someone comes here and starts to hear this information, especially for the first time, it just brings about so much anticipation of wanting to actually implement the proven systems and processes. And so Clay always wants to make sure that he answers all of those questions so that they are the most set up for success, so that we can go home and start implementing them. If you have any questions, email us at info at Thrivetimeshow.com We have come to the end of the 2019 Christmas Conference. It was incredible. These entrepreneurs have gotten so many tangible things that they can go and they can implement. Check us out for more information at Thrivetimeshow.com And as we always like to do, we want to end with a boom. Three, two, one, boom. Once I saw what they were doing, I knew I had to get here at the conference. This is probably the best conference or seminar I’ve ever been to in over 30 years of business. You’re not bored, you’re waiting live the whole time. It’s not pushy, they don’t try to sell you a bunch of things. I was looking to learn how to just get control of my life, my schedule, and just get in control of the business. Planning your time, breaking it all down, making time for the F6 in your life and just really implementing it and sticking with the program. It’s really lively, they’re pretty friendly, helpful, very welcoming. I attended a conference a couple months back and it was really the best business conference I’ve ever attended. In the workshop I learned a lot about time management, really prioritizing what’s the most important. Biggest takeaways are, you know, you want to take a step-by-step approach to your business. Whether it’s marketing, you know, what are those three marketing tools that you want to use to human resources. Some of the most successful people and successful businesses in this town, their owners were here today because they wanted to know more from Clay, and I found that to be kind of fascinating. The most valuable thing that I’ve learned is diligence. That businesses don’t change overnight. It takes time and effort and you’ve got to go through the ups and downs of getting it to where you want to go. He actually gives you the road map out. I was stuck, didn’t know what to do and he gave me the road map out step by step. We’ve set up systems in the business that make my life much easier, allowing me some time freedom. Here you can ask any question you want, they guarantee it will be answered. This conference motivates me and also gives me a lot of knowledge and tools. It’s up to you to do it. Everybody can do these things, there’s stuff that everybody knows, but if you don’t do it, nobody else is going to do it for you. I can see the marketing working, and it’s just an approach that makes sense. Probably the most notable thing is just the income increase that we’ve had. Everyone’s super fun and super motivating. I’ve been here before, but I’m back again because it motivates me. Your competition’s going to come eventually or try to pick up these tactics. So you better, if you don’t, somebody else will. I love the environment. I love the way that Clay presents and teaches. It’s a way that not only allows me to comprehend what’s going on, but he explains it in a way to where it just makes sense. The SEO optimization, branding, marketing, I’ve learned more in the last two days than I have the entire four years of college. The most valuable thing that I’ve learned, marketing is key, marketing is everything. Making sure that you’re branded accurately and clearly. How to grow a business using Google reviews and then just how to optimize our name through our website also. Helpful with a lot of marketing, search engine optimization, helping us really rank high in Google. The biggest thing I need to learn is how to be a good sales person. I think that’s the most important thing. I think that’s the most important thing. I think that’s the most important thing. Search engine optimization, helping us really rank high in Google. The biggest thing I needed to learn was how to build my foundation, how to systemize everything and optimize everything, build my SEO. How to become more organized, more efficient. How to make sure the business is really there to serve me as opposed to me constantly being there for the business. New ways of advertising my business as well as recruiting new employees. Group interviews, number one. Before we felt like we were held hostage by our employees. Group interviews has completely eliminated that because you’re able to really find the people that would really be the best fit. Hands-on how to hire people, how to deal with human resources, a lot about marketing, and overall just how to structure the business, how it works for me, and also then how that can translate into working better for my clients. The most valuable thing I’ve learned here is time management. I like the one hour of doing your business is real critical if I’m going to grow and change. Play really teaches you how to navigate through those things and not only find freedom but find your purpose in your business and find the purposes for all those other people that directly affect your business as well. Everybody. Everybody. Everyone. Everyone. Everyone needs to attend the conference because you get an opportunity to see that it’s real.
